We stayed here twice over the past month. We experienced consistently excellent service, the rooms are nice, room service and dining were good. Well run establishment with good service. The manager was very pleasant and she stepped in for the bell to help with our luggage so we would not have to wait. Appreciated. We will stay here next time.

From start to finish, this was hands down the best hotel experience I’ve ever had. The service was nothing short of exceptional – from the friendly and efficient receptionist, to the helpful valet, to the attentive food service staff. Everyone went above and beyond to make my stay perfect. The food at the hotel restaurant was absolutely amazing – every dish was packed with flavor and beautifully presented. On top of that, the views from the property were breathtaking and made every moment feel extra special. The cleanliness of the entire hotel was immaculate – truly a 10/10. The only (very minor) detail I could mention is that the bathrooms were just a tiny bit dated, but they were still spotless and well-maintained, so it didn’t take away from the experience at all. I can’t recommend this hotel highly enough. I’ll absolutely be returning!

Google
Lovely hotel with full-service amenities, surrounded by lush green landscapes. There's a beautiful golf course on the property and a pool to enjoy as well. I really enjoyed my brief stay. I had the chance to spend some quiet time working on my laptop in the main lobby, sipping a latte and soaking in the beautiful surroundings and photography. A peaceful and refreshing experience overall.

We love staying at the Westdrift! Lovely pool area, and lawn games. A bonus having a par 3 golf course onsite. The pickleball courts are a great addition. Lovely breakfast and a nice new lunch menu. What makes the stay for us, is the staff. Claudia and her fabulous breakfast team are so welcoming every morning. They took the time to get to know us and what we enjoyed for breakfast. A fabulous professional bunch of people. Mike the barista, knew our coffee order each day, and took the time to have a few words each morning. The staff in all areas did an excellent job of taking care of us. We are looking forward to our next visit.

Google
A beautiful hotel located about a few miles from Beach but the walk is easy and beautiful. Having a view of the golf course is worth the extra money as the other view is of busy street. Rooms are nice and modern. We loved the lobby bar and the staff were excellent. The resort fee covered a lot of things. Parking is available for both valet and self.

Google
Front desk service was very good. Rooms are fine, no clothing storage for longer stays aside from small closet, no water pressure in sink. Breakfast is a must skip. Service is very very slow, but they add the 20% gratuity regardless of group size so why rush!

Google
Great location. Lobby is very nice with a lot of options to hang out or work. The bar staff were great, food ok, drinks pretty good. The rooms are nice- loved the robe and Salt & Stone soaps/lotion. I tried to order room service in n the morning at 10 am - after several attempts I f no one answering I gave up and had to drive to get food. The water pressure in my sink was super low at night

“no shower” I came here for day pool pass. I reserved the cabana. They help me to keep my luggage while we go out for couple hours. The food is good, service is good. Pool is good and the golf view too. However on the booking app says we will get two free bottles of water which is we don’t get any. And also there is no SHOWER or place to clean yourself after swimming at the pool. Unless you stay overthere you can take a shower in your room.

Yelp
I never would have guessed that this was a hotel. At first glance it looks like a fancy business building. The entrance is grand and beautiful. There is a round-about at th front with a beautiful fountain. Valet service is $53. I'm not sure how much self parking is. My family and I utilized the handicapped parking for 2 people in our party. So, we self parked and were graciously not charged. The lobby is beautiful and is so spacious. There are a few little sitting areas throughout the lobby. One is towards the front and has a few computers available in their business center for printing, faxing and that sort of thing. Another sitting area is just inside the main doors. I had my little one sit there while I checked in. She sat so comfortably playing with her doll. The wait to check in was very short and the girls at the desk were so sweet. I'd tried to call the hotel a day before our arrival to make our request and preference for a room close to the elevator known, because of the 2 handicapped individuals in our party. The person I spoke with had let me know that notations for that request had been put into the system and that It would be no problem. Of course when we arrived, that room had been given away. It was quite unfortunate. She did her best to try and find us another solution. The one we settled for made things quite difficult for us because of the long walk but sometimes there just isn't anything that you can do. It really was too bad things didn't work out. There are some kid friendly spots in the lobby. They have a football table. They also have shuffleboard and other small board games. It was nice to see families enjoying time together, sharing appetizers and drinks while playing games with the kids. It was nice to see kids from different families playing with one another too. You could tell this was just a really nice, welcoming, friendly environment. The rooms are spacious and there is a consistent under water (swimming/aquatics) theme throughout the hotel. A lot of the art work has to do with swimming, diving, the elements and movement of water. It's calming. Speaking of calming, the pool deck is very cute as well. The deck is very clean. Towels are readily available upon entrance. The used towel receptacles are neat and not over flowing. Cabana spaces were available for rent. There were plenty of chairs. The hotel has its own 9-hole course. Leave your heavy bag at home. You'll just need your irons. The course is small but is a fun little number. I believe the daily rate is discounted for those staying at the hotel. I think it was $15 instead of $28. You can't complain about that. I was golfing as a participant of a charity golf tournament. It was a ton of fun. The way that the hotel had things set up for us was spectacular. We had some fun events and lots of extras. Lunch and dinner service were wonderful. I really enjoyed the garlic mashed potatoes and their chicken. I also like their vegetable medley: squash, zucchini, and broccoli. Staff were on top of it when it came to clearing plates and utensils. They were very accommodating of my little one. The facilities throughout the hotel were sparkling clean. Everything was just so nice. I had no idea that there was the Manhattan Village just 2 blocks away. It is the cutest little outdoor shopping and dining area. There are stores like Macy's, Johnny Was, Alo, Wilson, Apple, and so many more here. Some of the food places include silver lake ramen, CPK, Handel's ice cream, sidecar donuts, smash burger, etc. there is something for everyone here. This reminded me of a beach-vibe sort of Americana or the Grove. This hotel is so perfectly located to this area. It is easily within walking distance. You can ask the employees at the hotel for their suggestions. They can give you lots. They are so sweet and so helpful. One of the gentlemen that works in the front, we brought him a pizza from CPK to thank him for his help and his many suggestions. He was great. I would definitely recommend the rooms that have the balcony. Our view was of the golf course, the lush trees and one of the water hazards which looks like a lake. Early one morning I saw an egret fly over the water. it was so beautiful. Even if you don't' spend much time or any time even on the balcony, having the fresh air come in is so nice. This hotel is a real gem. Oh and, here's a little secret. . . if you've forgotten some small toiletries on your trip, there is a good chance that the front desk might be able to help you out with that (shower cap, razor, toothbrush, etc.). Now that is some serious service! This is also the big difference in staying at a Marriott Autograph Collection property. definite 5 stars!!!

Yelp
The highlight of the hotel is the vast lobby and the back patio. The back patio looks out to a golf course, lined with palm trees. Lots of spacious seating, a pickleball court, and a pool with cabanas that you can rent. The lobby is tall and airy with lots of natural light. The rooms themselves are meh. There's no desk to work from, just a small stool/table and the bathroom doesn't look any different from your run of the mill Marriott Courtyard - I guess that's where you get reminded that you're in a Marriott property. The location is good with many great places to eat within walking distance.

Yelp
In 2018, the Westdrift hotel opened near the bordering town of El Segundo in Manhattan beach. This hotel is approximately 4 miles from the LAX airport and many stores and restaurants are nearby to enjoy. Plus Manhattan beach is a short jaunt away-closest beach is approximately one mile away. The hotel is nestled among a small golf course. The hotel features a coastal vibe with resort amenities! This hotel is a makeover from its former hotel ownership. The lobby is expansive, modern and coastal. The lobby features a relatively small bar in comparison to the hotel and lobby size. Our room was lovely- we received an upgraded room- we had a nice junior suite that was quite expansive. The room featured an extensive balcony with two doors to the balcony. We also had a separate living area from the bedroom that had a dining table. The room also featured two TVs. An opportunity for this hotel room is to improve on the bathroom. The bathroom was very small and a bit tight. The shower temperature control was broken too- it slide around when tuning in the proper temperature. The bathroom makeover shows- as the vanity was rough- needs to be replace or redone. The bathroom was also slightly dirty- there was hair on the counter- this grosses me out to see somebody else hair on the counter. Also, the room is not soundproof- we were woken up by our neighbor coughing and then by the sound of a hair dryer. Not how you want to wake up on a Saturday morning. Lastly as Bonvoy members we were disappointed with the welcome when checking in. We were never greeted or presented with offers- such as points, breakfast credit, etc for being titanium members. Given our status level, we thought a greeting would be nice!

Yelp
I had booked the hotel for one night and was excited to know that they had EV chargers on property. This hotel surprised me - walked into the hotel and thought it was beautiful, airy and had a great vibe. The room is simple but lots of space and very clean. The AC worked well too. The restaurant in the lobby is great for drinks or breakfast, and then finally- you can self park in their garage for $4O but thenthe EV chargers were for free. Definitely would come back if I am back in the area.

Yelp
Quiet large style boutique Hotel formerly the Manhattan Beach Marriott, has all the amenities you would expect. Destination fee of $35 covers 2 alcoholic beverages or smoothies from golf course bar. Rooms have balconies and bathrobes and slippers. I will be back the place has a good business casual vibe.

Yelp
The setting is convenient near a mall and a golf course. The hotels has been remodeled. The lobby is an open welcoming spot where guests can hang out, order food and play some games they have out. There is a bar in the middle of the lobby and it seconds as a coffee shop in the morning. I cannot stress how helpful, happy, business like all of the staff is at this location. All the places I've stayed in California. The staff at this hotel are the nicest I've encountered since before the pandemic. On the downside because this is an old hotel, can hear everything that goes on in the room next-door I mean everything. If your boss, or wife or neighbor is in the next room, be careful what you say. I highly recommend this hotel because of its convenience, remodel, and most of all the staff.

Yelp
Kirk at Valet is the best, as Michael in the Coffee Bar. Overall Customer Service is excellent, facility is clean, comfortable and well organized. Rooms are quiet, beds are comfortable and service is impeccable. Great accommodation

Yelp
Oh man oh man. Back in the day when this hotel was flagged as a Marriott it was a gem. Before that it was Westin I believe and I would stay there on occasion as well as put out of town guests up there. Now? Unprofessional, poorly trained staff, terrible food quality and lack of cleanliness in rooms and public areas. I'm still itching from whatever was in the bed and I'm pretty sure management knows about it. If there is one bright spot, it's the Golf Course and the staff in shop.

Yelp
Do love the hotel for every thing... but, the so called "accessibility room" is not mobility friendly. It's not a roll-in, there's a step about four inches deep. There is not a seat, but they can bring you a shower chair. There is a handle bar but it's all the way inside by the shower unit, so by the time you reach that you could be on the floor already. The shower is too high to reach if you are sitting in the shower chair. But if you don't need handicap features, it's a great resort style hotel!

Yelp
The property is nice, bathroom is average, a bit pricey for a standard room and an old ran down bathroom. Tub not nice enough to sit in, but I'm starting to think that's a lot of places now. Nice staff. Ordered room service, didn't care for the menu, food wasn't that good. Ended up walking to Bristol Farms for the rest of my stay when I was t out to dinner with colleagues.

Priscilla G.

Yelp
Food and drinks (for dinner only) were delicious. Great view and amazing shopping centers. However for the price the beds were very hard and uncomfortable. Carpet walking down the hallway to rooms was stained and light fixtures were crooked. The doors did not seal correctly therefore letting light in through a big crack from top to bottom of frame. Curtains did not close well enough to block light in the mornings and comcast or Streaming services were not available. Lastly the price total scam with the checkout charges our price when booked was $640 and we ended up checking out at $860. When we asked they shared it was because of dining which we paid extra at booking for food and beverage (included with the $640). Needless to say we will not stay here again.

Yelp
Here's what went well, they did every single thing possible to make all refugees from the California fires this week feel cared about an accommodate their pets and they're weird last minute packing! I mean, people are arriving with cats and dogs and garbage bags full of their food and toys and they were so elegant and Even their choice of music was perfect. It's obvious from hanging out here for even a couple of hours that the entire staff was interviewed face-to-face because algorithmic hiring could never produce this effect! Highly rate this place and if you read the rest of my review reviews, you'll see I'm kind of a bitch. but not here! Fantastic I wish I could contact the owners to personally do something for them. They made four days of hell into four days of comforting and a great accommodation also! The rooms are spotlessly, clean very nicely updated and comfortable. Everything is cotton. There were real duvets on the beds and the maids don't bother you unless you ask them to. Cannot recommend more highly! Just incredibly grateful.

Yelp
Great location. Great ambiance. Amazing staff. Only had breakfast, but it was delicious and being able to sit out on the deck overlooking the gold course made for a wonderful breakfast on a warm and sunny day. The grounds are amazing and perfect for business travel or a weekend getaway. The gym facilities are well appointed with all the right gear. Will definitely be back. And again, the staff was great at check in, very helpful, and gave great Titanium service.

Yelp
My family stayed at Westdrift this past weekend for a wedding. The property has a lot to offer for families and is centrally located to the beach and all that L.A has to offer. The rooms were nice, the staff went out of their way to always be polite and helpful. They truly make a difference. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here with my family or for business. I highly recommend this property. Thanks for the exceptional time we experienced while staying at your property! Marc

Yelp
This executive nine hole never ceases to amaze me from its spectacularly manicured grounds to the service it's a wonderful place to sneak in 9 holes.

Yelp
As a Bonvoy member and a lover of Marriott, I hate to say I'm very disappointed in this hotel. The restaurant, food and service was horrible. The shuffle board was not level. There wasn't a club level and the topping on the cake was, we left a tooth brush and mouth guard in the bathroom and it was never returned to the lost and found.
google avatar

Lorie N.

Yelp
It was my first time on a plane and first time staying in a hotel since Pre-Covid. Whew! It's been awhile. To say I was going stir crazy is an understatement. It was so good to just get out of the Bay Area and be in a different place. I couldn't have picked a better hotel as this served as the perfect getaway-- even though it was a short one. I've stayed in several Marriott's but never an "Autograph" collection hotel. I loved our entire stay here-- from the service, amenities, and the property itself. The lobby was open, filled with lots of natural light and overlooked the golf course in the distance. They even had a shuffle board (albeit not enough sand for the discs to move across smoothly). I know this because I tried to play. Check in was speedy and the bellman was able to take our bags when our room wasn't ready. Our front desk associate Taylor was efficient and made sure to process our request for a late check out for 3pm on our last day. The room itself was clean, modern and the beds were super comfy. The furniture and lighting were all tastefully done to match the whole beachy vibe of the entire hotel. The shower room was stocked with the "Malin + Goetz" brand of shampoo, conditioner and body wash. The "Rum" body wash smelled so good that I'm considering purchasing some just for myself. The view overlooking the balcony onto the golf course made our mini trip feel like a vacation that could have been set in Hawaii with how pretty it looked. Palm trees, immaculately kept lawns and golfers in the distance were such a welcome sight from our room. Breakfast in the morning was decent-- over easy eggs with bacon and toast. What I did notice was the individually packaged jam that were in small glass jars to go along with the toast. They came in both orange marmalade and raspberry. While the food was only okay, I did appreciate the view overlooking the golf course. That had to be the best part of this. Add in some hot coffee and I couldn't have been happier. Can you tell I haven't been out? The highlight of our stay was the pool time. We had the pool to ourselves for an entire 3 hours and to my surprise the weather was perfect. Overcast and not too hot. The water is kept at 83 degrees and it also happened to be a saline pool which I prefer over chlorine. I wasted no time jumping in and out, floating from one end to another, swimming down to the bottom of the deep end (6 1/2 feet deep) and simply just enjoying the quietness of having the entire area to ourselves. I would definitely stay here again.

Yelp
I spoke to someone on the phone a couple days before my trip here to ask if the check in age was 18+ or 21+ and they told me 18. I booked a room and when I needed to check in, they told me the minimum age was 21. I'm not usually one to complain about situations like this, but I was far out from home with no place to sleep so I asked to talk to a manager. The manager on duty (Senovio or something) had very bad customer service. I explained the situation and he said "all of our staff knows it's 21 and older," which is essentially saying he doesn't believe I spoke to anyone. I understand that maybe there are no exceptions to their age policy, and if the manager had said something like "sorry that happened but there's nothing I can do," then I wouldn't have been so upset. But this manager is so poorly trained that he's telling guests they're basically lying. Looks very bad for this hotel. On the other hand, Dani was very nice and helpful and I wish she was still working when we had our check in issue. They should have more like her.

Yelp
Enjoyed my 1 night's stay here; it deserves to be part of the Autograph collection. I stayed here with points on a Sunday night after a weekend in December after attending the SpaceX Christmas party. I've previously stayed at the courtyard and regular airport Marriott / Sheraton in the area and this hotel is a nice upgrade. Bathroom: Malin + Goetz bath products in the bathroom were a great touch along with a nice rain shower Bedroom: really spacious with a nice desk area and tv alongside the king-size bed. No complaints. Gym/Outdoor Area: the gym had some of the best equipment I've seen in a hotel gym and it's huge. They also have FloWater in the gym which you've never had is the best-tasting purified water I've had. Lobby: this is very fun. You can eavesdrop on consulting partners having conversations about remote work (BCG and Deloitte are both nearby), creative types discussing movie contracts, and I even bumped into someone from my own company and had a nice chat. Great hotel, next to the Point (great food options), almost walking distance to the beach, and only a 12-minute drive to LAX. I'll be back!

Yelp
To be honest, I don't know why this Marriott became a part of the Autograph Collection. It has a really nice outdoor area with ping pong table and corn holes and outdoor sofa for hanging out (the only reason it got 2 stars), but other than that, the pool, and the golf course, the room itself and customer service was quite disappointing. We booked a staycation for Father's Day so my husband could golf and the girls can swim. I requested early check-in for 11am, and was told over the phone and chat that it would be more like 2pm, which is fine, as I understand it's only a request. When I checked in at 12:30pm for pool access, I was told that the previous guests had already checked out and they would contact housekeeping for cleaning. I checked on the status at 2pm, and an associate, Richard, told me it should be ready soon. So we waited in the lobby, waiting for the room to be ready so the girls could nap. At 2:30pm, another associate told me that housekeeping is just now cleaning the room and it would take an hour. So we got in the car and drove around so the girls napped in the car while my husband golfed. The room was not even ready at 4pm, standard check in time. I was extremely frustrated with this delay as they could've just told me "no, sorry, we won't be able to check you in early today" and I could've made other plans instead of waiting around for 2 hours with "your room should be ready soon". When I voiced my concern over the app chat, the associate said they "try not to tell guests 'no'", but I think "no" is better than lying to the guests and wasting their time. When we got to the room, it was modern but very bare minimal. We booked an executive suite so the girl could have a separate sleeping space, and to our disappointment, the "suite" was just a big studio with no room separation. We also booked the suite according to the nice balcony picture on the website, where we can sit and watch my husband golf. Again, disappointed to find that our balcony is nothing like the photo. The photo shows a concrete wall at couch height then bars so you can see the golf course, our balcony had like a 5 foot wall and the girls can't see over the wall unless I'm carrying them. We really wanted this to be a good staycation spot for us but were really turned off by the experience. What's worse, we don't think the staff cares at all and was very reluctant to help, not even a "sorry for the inconvenience", "how can we help", etc. They just stood around chatting and I had to keep going up to them to ask for updates. We expected so much more from an "Autograph Collection".

Yelp
Writing this review for Westdrift Manhattan Beach Hotel is a pleasure! My wife & I are frequent visitors to Manhattan Beach and we always choose Westdrift for our stay. Absolutely deserving of our five stars (*****} Their location is perfect, centrally located in Manhattan Beach. Our recent stay of four nights was fabulous. Beginning with the staff & their greetings when you arrive, always warm, charming & pleasant. This ambience was present throughout our stay. The amenities include a state of the art fitness center & spar, multiple dining options & magnificent scenic views of the ocean & Manhattan Beach. Manhattan Beach is fortunate to have a hotel of this excellence in its town. Cheers! Ed Grant

Yelp
As a prior resident of the area, I was familiar with this Marriott property and given the remodel, I decided to give it a try in this visit. Great location and convenient to highways, restaurants, shopping, etc. We arrived early and had a 5 star experience at check-in with Raphael. Unfortunately, my experience went downhill from there. Room was clean and had a view of the golf course. Updates to the hotel seem to be more about paint versus real improvements (note sound issues below). Disappointed that there was only 1 bottled water in the room with 2 guests. Other hotels have provided hand sanitizer or wrapped the remote control in plastic, but this property did neither of those things. Our room was squeezed in between a wedding party and this group was rather rowdy. The sound was awful given the large gap under the doors (see pic of the gap). I had to place a towel under the door to help with blocking the sounds from the hallway. Had to listen to a very loud fight midday. Tsk, tsk, this group started drinking too early in the day. But, I was going to spend little time in my room, so I figured the room will do. On the first evening, noticed that the toilet seemed to have some issues. The next day it stopped working and we called the front desk to repair as we headed out the door. Later that evening returned and toilet was fixed. BUT, noticed that all of our towels were shoved behind the toilet wet. Did maintenance have a spill and not clean it up? We called in the morning for more towels. Front desk said due to protocols, they could not come into the room to get the dirty wet towels. Would they rather I pile the wet dirty towels outside my front door? What about when your staff is the one who made the mess? Bizarre. They have some work to do with training staff and correcting sound issues.

Yelp
Had a great view of the golf course however the prices were a little high for me for chicken tenders and fries. The food tasted as any other crispy, fried chicken restaurant offers. The crisp was akin to the KFC experience. The coffee came in its own pot that was so tiny and cute, it looked like a miniature set, along with the perfectly placed spoon, coffee cup and dish with accoutrements nearby on the table. The staff was very friendly and the hotel was impeccable in design, layout and ambiance.

Kathy V.

Yelp
Love the decor of the lobby. My room was clean and nice but the TV remote didn't work. Bathroom was spacious. Room was spacious. The front lobby staff was a bit lukewarm in customer service. Still have not gotten my deposit back yet. It's been over a week.

Sara H.

Yelp
I cannot speak to the rooms or amenities because I haven't stayed here. I chose 3 stars because that's closest to their average. I live on the other side of the golf course and the hotel is a poor neighbor. We have asked the hotel to find a decibel level everyone can live with for events on their patio, but so far, no luck. If the event has a DJ or announcer of some sort, it's as if they're in my house. Last weekend, there was a midday event - music and PA - that was loud enough to make me reschedule the Zoom presentation I was trying to conduct. Even with all windows closed, it was louder than I would play music in my car and the other participants could easily hear it. I ended the meeting and called the hotel. I left a message for the manager, but haven't heard back so here's my follow up.

Yelp
This is my third stay here. What an amazing Property!! If you stay here you want the golf view, worth the extra cost. I also golfed , what a wonderfully thought out 3 par course. John "Mike" at the golf shop went above and beyond to make the experience even better.Dannie and the front desk team bent over backwards to make us feel at home.

Yelp
Very friendly staff and nice pool area. Good day pass if you're looking for relaxation. They also have a bar inside and has a nice seating area inside.

Yelp
Lovely hotel, but they don't have the bar or fitness center open now due to coronavirus social distancing precautions. The golf course and pool are open though. Clean, modern decor, super comfortable beds, and fabulous toiletries made for an extremely pleasant stay. Be aware that they charge $20 per night for parking. But there are free Tesla charging stations in the parking garage, so that was cool.

Yelp
Easy check in/out. Bar/food manager/staff amazing. Only issue is we did not get the view we paid for, disappointing. This was labeled as balcony with "golf view"

Yelp
This is a really pretty hotel property in Manhattan Beach and the check in is a breeze. They are very Covid safe and still limited concierge services including no breakfast other than room service. The lady who checked us in was so sweet and she went over all the Covid rules. Our room is small aka "boutique" size and we have a view of the golf course. No ocean views here since we are 2 miles from the beach. So far, this seems like a good buy for Marriott! Here is ny ONE complaint, no make up remover wipes or Q tips or mouthwash in the bathroom which all boutique hotels should provide!! One star off for that!! Wait, I forgot, I have another complaint, the air conditioner in the room was so noisy! It kept waking us up all night! We should've called maintenance but it was too late and it went on for too long. They need to fix that! I like the gym on the lower level. It's expansive and has decent Matrix equipment. There are plenty of treadmills but no Pelaton. The pool area is pretty relaxing and the temperature is perfect!

Yelp
I stayed at this location for 2 nights and had a very pleasant stay. It was extremely clean in the rooms and in the common areas. The staff are also very friendly. The food here is really good and I highly recommend eating breakfast at the hotel. There is also a bar in the lobby and a tiny cafe. The only downside is parking is extremely expensive per night about $40 per night but you can see if they'll be able to lower it.

Yelp
I stayed at Westdrift Manhattan Beach this past Sunday, and was horrified to discover upon leaving, that I had fungal inflection developing in my armpit from the shower in my room. Especially since I am a Platinum elite Member, it was extremely strange that the hotel desk offered no help or sympathies for the resulting condition. I personally will not be returning and would recommend staying away from the Westdrift.

Yelp
great location! lots of restaurants near this hotel. and you're not too far from the beach. stayed here during Easter Weekend and i thought the hotel is quite nice! clean and spacious lobby. There are a couple of games in the lobby for guests to play and the outdoor area is also nice, overlooking a golf course there are chairs and firepits for a cozy night while kids run around the grass area and playing giant connect four. There is a pool, not very big. No whirlpool. We didn't get to use the pool at it was quite windy for us for that particular weekend. The room looked clean, but some area were not so clean. we happened to touch the bar tray to get a cup and it was STICKY!

Yelp
Fancy, effortlessly elegant, and on-point efficiency would be the words that come to mind when thinking of our last trip here at Westdrift. The fam and I came for a one night impromptu roadtrip and booked this place 3 hours before we came. Since we are Bonvoy members, I booked everything online via Marriott's app and we were confirmed within minutes. Since we wanted to check in a little earlier, we called and customer service, who went above and beyond our expectation- letting us know the status of our room and where we could rest should our room be unavailable at check in. Customer service was wonderfully efficient as we were checked in a little less than an hour prior to our check in time. Everything was ready and perfect. The room on the seventh floor had an amazing view of the golf course in the back and the driveway, as well as city views, in front. We were very impressed with the decor of the lobby and as well as the room itself. The clean lines, minimalistic decor, and soft lighting eased me into comfort. For me, the best part was how clean everything is, and the sound insulation of the room. Okay, the views were awesome too. Inside, The last time I had a bed that comfy in a hotel room was when we went to Sheraton next to Legoland. We had two kids in tow and they were very excited- and that would be an understatement. We were very happy to find that there were no angry neighbors next door, everything was like the comfort of home, but better. The kids begged to go back after visiting- and they shall. I am looking forward to our next visit too.

Yelp
One word answers. Inconsolable, underwhelming, overpriced. I was very under impressed by this "high end hotel" $300 for a room that is no different than a $90 hotel. That won't even grant you access to a bicycle... You must pay additional for that. According to their cleaning sheet the ice machine hasn't been sanitized since March 19th... It's August. No hot water. " Westdrift" be better if they drifted west into the ocean. Font desk staff is spiritless, the second star is exclusively for the valet guys. Everything else is one star

Yelp
Oh my goodness, what a fabulous experience! I understand they've recently renovated so if you have not stayed here since the renovation, you have not stayed here! Shout outs to Jordan at the front desk. Judith on the morning shift. Rafael at the desk for loaning me an iPhone cord. Well off brand and only 4" long, yet it helped!!! Super clean rooms. Fab view Overlooking the golf course when you book that side of the hotel. Pleasantly surprised to find soft towels and super comfy beds. Update 4/23/19 this is my fourth stay and I mostly love it! It's super pricey tho and honestly the morning buffet is not worth $30. You can't even order outside what they've provided. For instance, I just want an omelette yet the cold frittata is what's being served. I was able to order two eggs o.m. (over medium), which is cooking 101. They failed as they overcooked the eggs to o.h. (over hard). I know the restaurant is a separate entity yet it's in the lobby of the hotel and included when you're a platinum elite member of the Marriott. So yeah, they need to take responsibility! Be aware, "city view" is parking lot view. Yuck. Nonetheless, This is definitely a five-star hotel! The beds are comfy, it's always clean and the staff is nice.

Yelp
Iight so boom. While I did have a WONDERFUL stay at the Westdrift, I'm here to talk about the food. Per usual every hotel has a bar and restaurant. And this one was really cute. Great seating, board game tables (foosball, shuffle board, etc) just a really cute and intimate vibe. I ordered the Thai curry chicken and babyyyyyy it was delicious. To drink I had the cherry blossom and it was the perfect balance of tasty and "if I keep going I'm going to be lit." That's all anyone can ask for in a beverage. The service was outstanding, they were extremely knowledgeable on the restaurant and surrounding areas when asked for recommendations. All in all, quite tasty.

Yelp
During our trip we stayed in five 4-star and above hotels throughout California and the customer service we received at the Westdrift was by far the best. From check in to the restaurant and valet, everyone was so friendly, warm and welcoming. The grounds were lovely, the room was comfortable and our kids had fun playing foosball, ping pong, etc. Thank you to all of the staff!!

Yelp
Beautiful location and amazing service. I came here with a friend to visit other folks down in SoCal. This place is tucked away from the bustle and hustle of main streets but shopping centers, coffee and food options are within walking distance or a short drive. As a signature hotel the decor is different than usual Marriot hotels. I loved the gray decor and simple lines. The bedroom was super comfortable with lots of space to put belongings. The shower supplies I did not use, but the company they use is cruelty free. The dining area over looks the golf course and there is an amazing sunrise if you go down for breakfast. The oatmeal is vegan and comes with lots of berries, raisins and brown sugar. I asked for everything on the side. There is a large carafe of freshly made coffee with all of the amenities. Everything was perfect. My friend got the benedict and it was all gone. There was a 30.00 breakfast buffet that looked pretty promising. The night before friend ordered room service and the burger was to his liking. Parking is super easy- either valet or there is self park garage. Will come back in the future.

Yelp
Lovely hotel with newly renovated rooms and lobby; beautiful exterior, modern big bathrooms with Kohler quality and nice lighting; feather-free hotel with spacious rooms and tons of outlets (smart) and a massive tv; lively bar with live music and friendly service! We arrived in the pouring rain after delays and were exhausted -- what a breath of fresh air to have friendly Mr Jordan at front desk take such good care of us! He was so kind and our room is perfect for the family. We enjoyed dinner at the hotel bar and it was delicious -- even with kitchen closing soon our food came out perfectly -- Caesar salad and scallops with broccolini and Brussel sprouts. Service was not rushed and we loved the sports on and great live music. They also have foosball and shuffleboard which was a hit! Lobby is so open and airy and beautiful with light woods and comfy sofas. Warm and relaxing vibe. Definitely recommend the Westdrift -- compliments to the staff-- location also very convenient from LAX!

Yelp
I stayed here for 2 nights for a work conference. Rooms- I got a handicap room, so it was bigger than normal. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable. Room came with a refrigerator. The bathroom was big. The tub had this handicap seat thing in it. It looked pretty dirty. It also looked pretty flimsy, like someone just nailed it into the tub. It was weird- I did not like that as it was dirty and I tried to pull it back so I can have room to shower and it felt like it was going to break, and the nail was coming lose. The room was located in front of the service elevator- so it got pretty loud at times. And the door crack on the bottom was like 2 inches high, so you can hear all the noise and see light from outside at night. I had to put a bath towel to cover the light. Lobby bar/area- cool bar area and hang out lobby area with a modern decor. Lots of seating. There were some bar games in the bar area, so that was cool. Drinks were pretty pricey but they have some discount during happy hour. Conference rooms- very basic like any other conference rooms I've been too. The AC was on waaay too high, as it was freezing. The food- we got breakfast, lunch, dinner was pretty good. They use high quality ingredients. There was one chicken sandwich I did not like- they didn't take off the chicken skin...that was weird. Other than that, we had some fish, beef, and other good items. Parking is quite pricey even for guest. But that's LA for ya. The free room wifi works fine, except sometimes it was a little spotty. Other than that I enjoyed my stay.

Yelp
Love this hotels! They offer so many amenities especially for outdoor activities. The rooms were well maintained and cleaned. Self parking was convenient. I have recommended this hotel to all my coworkers. It's located near a lot of places to eat as well.

Yelp
What a gorgeous hotel! Our suite upgrade was perfect for one night with a beautiful balcony and golf course view. I literally had the warmest and best service here. My husband and I were blown away at every single employee at this property and they are the definition of top notch hospitality. From the moment I checked in Amber and Janine warmly greeted me and made me feel right at home. They told me they had a system glitch of sorts, which I'm no stranger to working at the front desk myself. Janine and Amber said there would be a wait for our room, which was no trouble at all. They kindly gave me drink vouchers for the bar, which was so kind and unexpected. We honestly do not mind waiting and were already happy to be staying there. The wait wasn't even a wait at all frankly hehe. When the room was ready, another sweet associate gave our toddler a stuffed animal. Omg we were so touched by her. Later that evening, we went to the bar to redeem our drink vouchers and were again greeted by friendly bartenders. To top off the night, we were surprised by a beautiful tray of wine and a cheese plate, and we were seriously so emotional and thankful. We felt like we didn't deserve any of it hehe. Our breakfast server and busboy the next morning were beyond lovely and helpful as well. Everyone went above and beyond, and my family and I couldn't be more appreciative and grateful. Thanks Westdrift for an impeccable stay. You left a huge imprint on our hearts. To the managers at this hotel, you truly have a wonderful team......keep up the great service! See you soon!:)

Yelp
As an SPG And Marriott Platinum Ambassador member and spending a substantial portion of my life at hotels, I was very much impressed with this property. Design (5/5): Stepping into the lobby, there is a great sense of spaciousness and truly unique design. Many of the design elements are very unique, such as leather like wrapping on concrete columns, interesting furniture that is beachy and modern at the same time. Given the age of the building, they did a spectacular job. Elite Member Recognition (4/5): the hotel unfortunately did not provide an upgrade, but the room was pretty large even in its standard size. The breakfast that is included for platinum members is impressive and vast, with an array of deli meats, smoked salmon, fresh berries and lots of other selections. The Marriott welcome gift of 500 Points is pretty pathetic relative to SPG hotels which I used to love, but this is the new reality. Late checkout was honored without issues. Complimentary water bottles provided at front desk. The Room (5/5): the design of the lobby transcends into the room, which is quirky and cool. The bedding is very comfortable and the size of he room is large, I'd estimate around 600 sqft. The Service (4.5/5): great folks working here. The bar staff opened up the kitchen for us despite it already being closed a few minutes past 11. The food there was spectacular. Front desk was fast and efficient. Breakfast staff were pleasant. When we drove up there was nobody at the valet stand, so that was a bit inconvenient, but otherwise they brought the car out pretty fast. Overall, this is one of the few Marriott properties that I would actually recommend for people to stay in. A great hotel, with amazing design and people.

Yelp
The best hotel in Manhattan Beach, to stay and dine. Bar lunch servers are very courteous and nice employees. Enjoy the sparkling blue clean swimming pool. 5 starts is too little to rate. This place deserves 10 stars

Yelp
This would technically be the 1st Hotel I am yelping ever. I started doing the whole Yelp hobby so I can remember the places I eat in and the hotels I stay in worldwide. A bunch of days ago, we went on a family trip to Manhattan Beach and we stayed in this hotel. My father picked this hotel since he heard from a coworker it is a short drive to the beach and there are lots of food places around (also the golf courses). It is a small yet nice Hotel, in the lobby there are games like Foosball and a Ping Pong table outside for people to play. The Bell Hop were always greeting our family when we left or entered the hotel. I took a stroll across the Golf Course and it made me wonder if I should learn how to play too. The pool is decent and I like the Shampoo, Peppermint scent. If I had to describe this hotel, it has a luxurious feeling where people can relax in the lobby for long amounts of time. If you are looking for things to do, the workers at the hotel recommend driving to the local Beach, visiting the surrounding malls, or trying one of the many restaurants not so far. Although our vacation was a 4 day 3 night road trip, I enjoyed our vacation and this hotel as well.

Yelp
Autograph it is NOT! I was expecting a more high-end Hotel but this is just a step above Marriott's Fairfield Inn and definitely below Marriott's Courtyard. The rooms are dark and there is very little light. The bathroom and shower is nice. The balcony is very nice and their Bar area in the Lobby is extremely nice. The Managers are not friendly with the exception of Jarret who just arrived three weeks ago. And, the Staff is confused on a lot of what should be their regular duties, like giving you the correct key to access the garage and being honest that one of your two rooms is ready and not having you wait until 4:00 pm to check-in. We had a room key issue yesterday and the Manager would not come out to talk to us. Housekeeping is a problem here and one day, we left the room at 6:00 am and returned at 3:30 pm to discover our room unmade--when I called the Manager, they asked if I had called to tell them that I would be out of the room, no, not when I have full service housekeeping included in my price. Parking is $25 a night for self parking. This Hotel, I am sure, is only considered Autograph to be able to charge the high self parking fee--not much else here. There is a lot missing here and the hassle and frustration is not worth it!

Yelp
Started out bad from the start and just kept getting worse. Titanium member and no basic room upgrade available and no suite rewards. I can understand that but Hotel was not full. Room was not as requested to be stocked. Shower pump shampoo and body wash were empty. No Marriott lounge but breakfast substitution was adequate. Not what you would have expected. For this level of hotel.
