Love, love, this store! It can be pricey so let's get that out of the way, some items are reasonable and look for sales throughout the store. This is one of my regular spots to shop for breakfast and snack items for my stays in NYC. I'm lucky that the place I stay at has a mini kitchen, microwave, refrigerator, etc. I like to make my own breakfast instead of going out.
My usual buys, yogurt, fruit, half dozen eggs, milk, maybe add some nuts, hummus and chips. Good to go for a few mornings, most times I don't finish dinner so any left over veggies get incorporated for that morning omelette.
There are two doors to enter into the store, the main one is the south entrance, carts and baskets can be found there. Also it's the start of the small but a good selection of fruits and veggies, move up the aisle for juices and other cold items, cheese, yogurt, etc. Hit the back wall for milk and milk substitutes. As you move through the store you'll be surprised at the variety. The aisles are narrow and the shelves high. A good selection of healthier chips and snacks, teas galore, same for coffee beans, they even have a soup bar. Once you get done shopping for food, you can shop their supplements, all the high quality brands stocked and people there to answer questions about them. They also carry beauty items, lotion, shampoo and moisturizers, again all nice stuff, look for sales.
I love that they occasionally run a Groupon, nice way to bring in new people or reward their regulars. I shop here either way because it's a quality store. I only have one complaint about it, the aisles are so narrow that you have to do some maneuvering, sometimes you'll find yourself running into the same people. I did this several times my last time in, however everyone is friendly and it ends up in a laugh. If they had comfortable aisles the selection just wouldn't be there, it's worth the squeeze.
