Opened in March of this year, Western Station has a cozy atmosphere and a warm, relaxing vibe. I met up with a friend here to unwind after work. In addition to a vast array of natural wine, this neighborhood friendly place has a nice selection of craft beer. They offer six ice cold taps and a rotating selection of 12 - 15 wines by the glass. (Half glass options are available.) You can also purchase a bottle to consume on site. ($20 corkage fee.)
We inquired if they offered flights. The bartender, Dan, told us they were working on adding it to the menu. However, he said he'd be happy to put one together for us. We opted for a flight of whites. Dan curated a nice offering that included a dry white (Aphros Loureiro 2021), a Sauvignon Blanc (Greenhough River Garden 2021), and a Rosé (La Tour de Gatigne 2021). For my 4th I requested a Cava (Joan Colet Rius) and my friend went with a red. We were happy with Dan's selections and also enjoyed conversing with him. He is very knowledgeable and told us about each winery and helped us identify the tasting notes. The price of the flight was reasonable. ($24.50)
Overall, it was a pleasant evening. Exactly what we both needed, and the wine flight did not disappoint.
