"For the holidays, Sawtelle Japantown B Sweet will be serving out of a small kiosk in the center of Westfield Century City with hot bread pudding, ube cheesecake and more, giving fans a chance to get its sweets seven days a week while the Sawtelle shop normally operates Friday through Sunday." - Matthew Kang

"BlossomFest arrives Saturday, April 1 at Westfield Montgomery Mall. There’s a free concert at 1 p.m. by boy bands of yesteryear LFO and O-Town, both of whom are performing live in the Nordstrom wing with blossoms as their backdrop. To add more nostalgia, Nsync’s Chris Kirkpatrick and 98 Degrees’ Jeff Timmons will co-host the festivities. Tickets are not required but registration is encouraged. A pop-up biergarten near the Lego store features Maryland favorites Lone Oak Farm Brewery Company and MoCo Show. Pregame with IPAs, lagers, charcuterie bags, and bites." - Vinciane Ngomsi

"I learned that the inventor of the now-famous Mille Crêpes cake has opened a new Lady M cake boutique in San Diego at Westfield UTC on Level 1 next to Forever 21 near Palm Plaza. Open Monday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., the shop is offering walk-in service but is not yet taking pre-orders. Featuring at least 20 alternating layers of crepes and cream, the delicate cakes come in flavors from original to green tea, chocolate, pistachio, and tiramisu, sold by the slice or as 6-inch or 9-inch whole cakes; the bakery also releases seasonal flavors (winter specials include red velvet, butter pecan, and marron). The menu often extends to other desserts — flourless chocolate cake, coconut cheesecake, and Mont Blanc made with homemade chestnut puree, whipped cream, and candied chestnuts — and the shop stocks cake-inspired confections like champagne gummy bears and creme brulee almonds, plus hot and iced tea and coffee. With more than 50 locations across North America and Asia, Lady M currently has no plans for additional San Diego locations beyond this UTC boutique." - Candice Woo

"Westfield Montgomery’s 700-seat food court is unusually busy and houses 35 eateries — from chains like Shake Shack, California Pizza Kitchen, Cheesecake Factory, Cinnabon, McDonald’s, and Panda Express to newcomers — and the mall’s willingness to host a full bar in the food court has allowed operators like HalfSmoke to offer cocktails and compete with larger chains while reaching more customers than their other locations combined." - Lenore Adkins

"Just minutes from Washington DC, I see Westfield Montgomery as the centerpiece of distinctive shopping in Bethesda, offering classic collections and luxury basics in every retail category; the center is home to Nordstrom and Macy’s as well as over 190 specialty stores. Reports say Frank Pepe anticipates opening its first D.C.-area outpost inside the mall by late 2020, where it could compete with an outpost of Maryland pan-pizza brand Ledo." - Gabe Hiatt
