Westgate New York Grand Central

My husband and I absolutely LOVED this place!! We were super skeptical because of the reviews but I think people that travel to NY don’t understand NY lol The room was EXACTLY what you need. We used it to shower & sleep while we toured the amazing city. The bus drops you off directly in front of the hotel. It’s so close to grand central station. It was clean & the staff were so nice to us. We were so busy we didn’t get a chance to use the amenities but the gym looked nice and had everything you needed. It was very convenient and we would definitely book there again!

This is our go-to hotel for Tandym Group! We love Kevin so much - he always greets us warmly and is the perfect representation for the hotel. He's so sweet and always makes sure we have water and anything else we may need. The rooms are cozy and always very clean. New bathrooms, and comfy white beds/pillows - always get a great night's sleep!

New York’s finest. What an amazing hotel located so close to everything. The subway is only a couple of minutes walk away. This hotel is so clean and safe. The rooms are spacious and have all amenities needed for a New York stay. The shower was a good powerful shower and that’s important after a day in the city. A large tv screen and WiFi plus usb power slots for phones etc. the bed was so comfortable and again the room was spotless and cleaned daily. The staff couldn’t have been anymore helpful to us and looked after us from start to finish. The hotel is ideally located and even if you don’t use the subway from grand central, you can walk to Times Square within 10/15 mins. I highly recommend the Westgate Grand Central for all it has to offer.

We stayed here for a few days to explore the city and it was amazing. It's within walking distance to Times Square, 5th Ave, Central Park, and a lot of great bars and restaurants. The staff greeted us each time we walked in and they were all very helpful whenever we needed any help. Most importantly, the bartender, Nick, was the best. He was probably the sweetest human being that I have ever met. He was so helpful with any questions that we had about the city. And he made amazing drinks. I definitely recommend seeing him if you stay here (but only if you tip good because he deserves it).

I come to the Westgate often for work, and my experience is always wonderful. Kevin makes every stay so enjoyable and provides excellent service, going above and beyond. The beds are SO comfy! I also love Jose and Chafik- they are patient, personable, and very good at their jobs. I hope to come back for many more stays!

We had a pleasant stay right in the heart of Midtown New York, within walking distance of iconic landmarks like the Empire State Building, Grand Central Terminal, and Rockefeller Center. The convenience of having a CVS just two minutes away for snacks and drinks was a nice bonus. The rooms were cleaned daily, and the staff were friendly and welcoming.||A subway station only two minutes from the hotel made it easy to explore the city. We used it to visit Uptown, Central Park, the Brooklyn Bridge, and the 9/11 Memorial. There’s also a charming bar in the hotel. While we didn’t try it ourselves, the customers seemed happy, creating a nice ambiance.||The reason for my 4-star rating is a few cleanliness issues we encountered upon arrival. Unfortunately, there were long black hairs in the bathtub (neither mine nor my boyfriend’s), and we found stray hair strands in the bed and on the bathroom floor. While I’m not overly sensitive about such things, it was a little off-putting.||Overall, the stay was enjoyable, thanks to the fantastic location and helpful staff, but the initial cleanliness could use improvement.

I just stayed here and was very impressed. The staff was extremely courteous and accommodating, room was clean and comfortable, and the view from the terrace was spectacular. Amazing job by this property on delivering a great experience.

It’s in a safe place, very clean and has a bar by the lobby. They welcome you with some waters and the team is very friendly. The bell person was fantastic his name is Jose he made our visit, was kind, helpful and greeted us with a smile everyday. Jose also gave us many tips about taxis and how to make sure we got around NYC. He is one of the reasons our family would go back, he speaks Spanish and made us feel at home. Team members like Jose make a big difference and a positive impact. |Overall the experience was great!
