"Antic pubs are contrived, certainly, but serve a purpose. Westow House in Crystal Palace, Catford Constitutional Club, Tooting Tram & Social and the East Dulwich Tavern are all mainstays in their locale. Regulars are as consistent as the pubs themselves. Juicy sausage rolls are one frequent menu item worth trying, as are bacon and egg sandwiches. Menus differ between pubs, with some hosting pop-up ventures; other establishments are far more geared towards music and drinking and food features hardly at all. Still, it’s fair to say that in most Antic pubs you’ll find something good to eat, be it a slab of shepherd’s pie or bowl bouillabaisse and crusty bread." - Josh Barrie

Had the most excellent chicken, ham and leek pie, with lovely mash a perfectly cooked cabbage, topped with a tasty gravy. The staff are super friendly, and plates get cleared quickly. Nice selection of red wine too! I'm lucky to have this as my local.

Great pub with excellent service and a delicious roast! I had accidentally booked my table for the wrong day but the manager squeezed us in, even though it was a really busy Sunday lunchtime. The food was great and the service was brilliant. Would recommend.

My local pub and a regular visitor. Has a great menu and selection of drinks. Also a good selection of bar snacks including nuts. They have a great beer garden and it’s the perfect place to spend a summer afternoon in Crystal Palace. Disabled access is ok for a wheelchair and they have a disabled toilet on the ground floor.

Stayed at the Westow very spacious & friendly pub.Staff very customer friendly. Decent breakfast & pub food 😋. Would recommend with a couple of words. of caution no lift so if allocated the Heron Room top floor.The room was very nice & bed very comfortable. Shower height very tight no good for anyone over 5 10. There was a continual whirring industrial unit which was irratating its location I couldn't establish. It wasn't the AC or bathroom extractor fan. That said the stay was very good.

Really nice. Their work deal is great value. Great to sit out the front and watch the world go by. Food is good - typical food grub standard. Service is excellent.

I stayed in the hotel for several nights. It's part of a busy and very well visited pub. The furnishings are from the 70s. The room incl. the bathroom are clean and very well served. Unfortunately the pub-hotel is located at a very busy crossing and the small window is far from being protected against the traffic noise. So, the owner serve earplugs. It's too expensive for what it offers.

Went for drinks. Very large Victorian pub right across the road from the bus station Good selection of beers/ales etc. Didn't have any food. Plenty of seating inside and out. Hadn't been in the place for over 40 years but now a modern public house. Prices normal for London £££.

Great Sunday roast, great space, very kids friendly. The day we went we were also served by the most kind and attentive waitress I've ever encountered while dining in England. But sincerely all the staff seemed great and having a good time while working.
