"If you find yourself fleeing California, find your way to Westport Sea Farms, outside Providence, Rhode Island. It’s Hog Island’s East Coast doppleganger! But — dare I say —with no weekday line and, okay, lobster rolls heaped with fresh meat." - Eater Staff

Really casual, perfect on a beautiful day. Order at a counter, then sit at a picnic table outside. All the oysters were fantastic. They offer 4 different kinds, all grown in Westport. I got a dozen, 3 of each. So delicious. A dozen was $34, so less than $3 ea. Not too bad. Lobster roll was 5oz if meat for $25. Can't beat that. Clam chowder was delicious. Small parking lot but manageable. @amp_eats (instagram and Facebook)

A great place to relax and enjoy some oysters. They also have an awesome lobster roll or how about a crisp salad topped w/5 oz of lobster. The clam chowder was the best that I've had in years. Instead of a thickened stock, one that a spoon can stand in and the norm at most restaurants, this one was a rich yet creamy stock, loaded with chopped clams and smaller cut potatoes. Exceptional!!! They also have a nice selection of beer, wine and soft drinks. The staff is always cheery and waiting to assist.

The menu at Westport Sea Farms is limited in comparison to many other local options, but that is really a feature because the few things that are on the menu are excellent. The lobster rolls were great, with an abundance of lobster in a choice of butter or mayo. We split a couple dozen oysters from the local oyster beds. And the salad was fresh and simple. They also have a selection of local beers (in cans and bottles) which goes great with the chill vibe of the outdoor patio overlooking the water. We stayed and chatted for quite a while and the friendly staff never hurried us. There is not much else to see in this immediate area, but if you are in the neighborhood it is worth a visit.

Oysters were all smaller than a quarter! Couldn’t even taste them While the lobster roll looks good in the photo it had no flavor. The butter is just thrown on the side and not mixed in. It does have atmosphere but I wouldnt go back.

Finally!! A lobster roll made with only fresh lobster meat. Definitely, no imitation meat, fish, or old rancid lobster mixed in. I ordered my lobster roll with the warm butter on the side. It was amazing. A small portion, but this lobster was alive and kicking just hours before it landed in front of me. (You absolutely can taste the difference) Served with a bag of kettle chips (not my fav) too greasy and plain. Did nothing to compliment the lobster roll. The flight of oysters I had were of coarse fresh, sweet, and small (no crazy huge gagers). The atmosphere is literally seaside, relaxing, and beautiful.

I had a wonderful experience at the Westport Sea Farms tonight. I was greeted by a professional and polite hostess at the window who sat my group down in the available adirondack chairs - what an incredible view we had all evening! Each staff member I engaged with was super pleasant and attentive. We did not wait long for our lobster rolls to arrive at our seats, and they tasted incredible! The vibes were immaculate, the staff was outstanding, and I look forward to my next visit!

Super for oysters: many local types from right in Westport. Neat! The lobster roll is average, cold. Very small menu: it's a dockside casual place. Nice to be by the water and by the commercial fishing fleet. Oddly, they require shoes even though it's all outdoors. (They'll give you flip flops if you don't have shod feet.) Definitely worth slurping some oysters here, not enthused about the rest of it.

Lovely oysters. Solid lobster roll. Good wine choices ( did not check out the beers). Oysters were excellent, and served with a cucumber & dill mignonette that was surprisingly delicious, light and complementary. It did not overwhelm the flavor and liquor of the oysters themselves. Ordered two dozen just to be sure. Lobster roll was simple, light and enjoyable Straightforward: all meat, not sloppy with sauce. Location is lovely. Covid precautious were well thought out. Felt comfortable and as safe as we could be. Well spaced tables and only 1 people-pod in order zone at a time. Signage and space-division good.
