Absolutely a fantastic Place to grab some food before setting out for a day exploring Cape May. The subs at Westside Market were loaded with fresh ingredients and the bread was the best! I wish my local sub shops had bread this good. The service was fantastic and very friendly and the orders were made quickly. We loved the store and stopped in here for sandwiches to take to the beach several days during our visit.

This place is a gem!! We come here every time we visit from out of town for one of the best Italian sandwiches I’ve ever had! They have excellent bread. We also got the godfather sandwich with broccoli rabe which is DELICIOUS. Highly recommend. My husband got the fuggedabout it chicken cutlet sandwich which was also very good. It’s owned by a local family and the market itself is great and it’s baked goods, Italian deli items, and cold drinks

We stopped here this weekend for items to make a charcuterie board. Got some yummy dips and crackers. Their roasted red pepper salad was delicious! We also loved the big cookies.

A nice deli with a great selection of sandwiches. I love a good chicken salad and theirs stood up to my high standards (haha j/k). Honestly, it was a nice chicken salad and fairly priced. I also added a bag of chips and an iced tea. The market side is more speciality like items so I bought some local ground coffee, which again fairly priced. Last and not least everyone that worked there were friendly and helpful.

West Side Market catering deserves higher than a five-star rating. They're Hoagie trays, italian roast pork, sausage and peppers, and cheese steak, Etc were outstanding to say the least. And I might add, I'm a fussy chef. Everyone raved about the food and all took home sizable doggy bags. Thank you Westside you made our early fall summer family party in Cape May a big success. And one more note, your potato salad was rated the best anyone ever had. Thanks again kudos to you keep up the good work

Hands down best sandwich shop in Cape May! Great esthetics! Great choices for sandwiches, easy customization for anyone's tastes. Friendly staff. Must do for vacationers and if we were local it would be there frequently.

I wish I was in Cape May more often so I could order from Westside market. My BF and I were down for the day and dithering about what to get for lunch. The sandwiches at Westside looked so appetizing that I ordered the Harvest special for pickup. While BF was eating his admittedly disappointing hoagie from Wawa because he didn't want to " pay that much for a sandwich", I was enjoying every bite of a delicious, thoughtfully prepared and very generously portioned sandwich! Delish x 10. Easy ordering, easy pickup, friendly service. Would definitely recommend!

I ordered an entire catering dinner for my parents surprise 50th anniversary that I hosted at my house. We had 13 guests and our family is Italian with a grandmother that was a caterer so delicious food is a must. I ordered precooked trays that all I needed to do was heat in the oven. We had chicken Marsala, penne alla vodka, zucchini, squash, tomato, Board room charcuterie, Shrimp cocktail. Not only was the portion side plenty (we had leftovers), but everything was just as delicious as the next. We will always order from Westside Market! Thank you Chris and team.

Great one stop shop for prepared baked goods, breakfast sandwiches. Great service and consistent product.

This market was crowded during lunchtime. There are two ordering stations, one on the left and the other on the right. We were told that the wait time could be half hour long because it was busy. You paid the order at the register then wait until your name is called. You can grab side dishes, snacks, chips, cookies at the store. I highly recommend peppadew filled with goat cheese. Service was great. There are some seatings inside and outside.

Busy little market with deli, sandwiches, cold drinks, and baked goods. Baked goods looked really good so we bought a couple of cookies and a blueberry grunt, whatever that is.

We ordered three sandwiches online and they came on time within twenty minutes. We got the godfather, the old world Italian, and fuggedabput it. You can customize the sandwiches with lots of different flavors toppings. The godfather was excellent with broccoli rabe. We also got all sandwiches with seeded rolls and the bread was really good. The market has a variety of cold drinks, Italian deli items and baked goods. This is local family owned establishment. The restaurant was busy when we picked up but everyone was attentive and kind. Great spot

Could there be a better market maybe but I haven't found it. The prepared food sandwiches and fries are out of this world good. Home made baked goods to die for, we tried the pot pie in the heat and eat section can't go wrong plus so many other great treats. Oh and martins dipping chips I can't find them within miles for some reason the chains acme and shop right don't carry them but this jem of a market does have them along with so many other things did I mention it's a great butcher shop too well it is will keep coming back blessed

We've been coming to Cape May for several years and spent time trying more of the shops and restaurants in West Cape May. Westside Market is a gem. We were struck by how welcoming and warm all of the staff is. We visited twice over the course of a weekend and they noted our repeat business. We ordered subs during both of our visits. They have seemingly endless options for these sandwiches, which you can conveniently order through kiosks in the store. The ingredients are fresh and plentiful. The rolls may be the best part. We took home some of the pre-prepared meatballs to try, which were also very good.

Very cute, great employees and fast service, wide variety of grab and go items, treats, sandwiches and salads as well as build your own ones via self service tablet stations, and butcher section. Also off-street parking. I got a build your own roast beef hoagie, grilled chicken on romaine lettuce, 2 drinks and some candy for the children. All were delicious.

Great place to grab sandwiches for the beach or meat to grill for dinner. You really need to go! Service is friendly. Decor and ambience is old time Cape May, which we all love!

West side market has great subs the rolls they use really make the subs. Staff is very helpful and pleasant. Lots of good dips and snacks and baked goods to purchase highly recommend!!

I am from the West so in my mind this is more deli than market. It has a great meat selection that they will slice to order and even make you a sandwich. They have really good prepared food ready to go. I love their Asian Sesame salad so well I went back and bought it again. Seemed like it was very well staffed and well run.

Recently found out this market is under new ownership (a friend of a friend) so we decided to stop in while we were on vacation this week. It's a great market with lots of options. They offer sandwiches (hot and cold), deli items, meat, salads, cold drinks, coffee, ice, etc. Everything is so nicely displayed too!

Great sandwiches, very large, with quality meats and cheeses. Quick prep time and friendly staff.

Mixed feelings. Burger was excellent, although a bit annoying that they make three mini-smashes on a skewer so you have to dig your fingers into your sandwich and sort out the whole mess before you can take a bite. Who thought this was cute??? Cheesesteak was a lightweight, totally meat anemic, making the bread-meat-cheese ratio poor. I can't say the meat flavor made up for anything. This is one pretty inexcusable sandwich. I'll go back for the burger, hold the skewer nonsense. Will not be ordering a cheesesteak there again.

Specifically about how Westside Market's mozzarella has gone downhill. It's no longer creamy, the texture is rough, the taste no longer pops. ​

I went with my husband and baby, as we were looking for a healthier breakfast option that would also be quick. I got a breakfast sandwich on some artisan bread, and I ordered avocado toast for the baby. Both items were really great. I highly recommend checking it out if you are in search of healthier food in the Cape May area. The store is really cute, and the staff/owners were incredibly nice.

$18 for a loaf of Italian bread and a 4"x6" package of mini raspberry pastries. Items were good but not great. Price is ridiculous.

Where's the meat?! We have ordered many times for. The west side market and never have had an issue. Today, a $17 dollar 10" turkey hoagie with cheese had practically no meat. Very disappointing. The potato salad was delish!

First visit since new owner/renovation, and was delighted to find the service was as good as ever! We tried the Westside panini, Cubano sandwich and Cobb salad and they couldn't have been better. The service is well organized even though it was a busy lunch time, and the renovation was not overdone--it still feels vintage!

great service. and great sandwiches. what else can you say. had a chicken cutlet. darn great. lightly battered in panko. i wish we were staying longer. I have to try some of the other meals.

I've been here several times and every time it's been delicious. The ordering process is simple-choose your sandwich on a touchscreen and pay. The staff is friendly and while I was waiting for my sandwich, I checked out all the eclectic offerings on the shelves. Everything seems fresh and clean. I ordered the Godfather-thin sliced Italian pork, broccoli rabe, roasted peppers and sharp provolone. What a combination! I also bought a jar of locally made jalapeño bacon jam. I can't wait to have that on a grilled burger. I plan to make this a regular stop while on vacation. Thumbs up!

First time here. Fantastic breakfast sandwich and lots of delicious looking baked goods available. Service was super helpful and friendly. Will definitely come back for more this summer!

Delicious sandwiches and baked goods. We tried it first the first time this summer, and it quickly became a favorite. The Jersey Girl Wrap is to die for. The fried chicken and avocado chicken sandwiches are also delicious. Cookies and muffins are out of this world, particularly the blueberry lemon cookies. Potato salad is quite good also. I can't imagine spending a day in Cape May without a visit to the Westside Market.

Westside Market recently helped us to cater a party in Cape May - sausage and peppers, chicken marsala, baked ziti, etc. They were easy to deal with, everything was ready on time, and our guests loved the food. (There was almost none left.) We would use them again without hesitation.

Loved our lunch. Chicken salad was spot one. And the turkey club was too much for me to Finish. Food was flavorful staff was friendly. Menu is fabulous. Love the Burata cheese sandwich too. On and the chicken pot pie is phenomenal!!

10' Philly Cheesesteaks made to order. Got ours with fried onions and provolone cheese on a wonderful hoagie roll! Delicious!

Yum! Yum! Yum! Best subs in Cape May! Great staff, great experience all around. Best part is they have online ordering that you can set your time that you want to pick up and boom! Subs ready right on time. Big menu with options for every family member. We also always stop on our way out of town to get our subs for the road!

First time in since the reopening with new ownership. Very clean with great variety & friendly staff. Finally, a lightly battered, fried Cod sandwich. Sounds easy right. Not when you consider, up till now, in this seaside town, no one offered a fried Cod sandwich. At best you'd find fried Flounder or Tilapia usually beer battered, greasy & fresh off the Sysco food truck. Thank you West Side Market for offering a New England style fish sandwich. Looking forward to trying other specialty sandwiches since the all sound delicious.

Now a regular stop for sandwiches and snacks when we head back to Virginia. Love that we can order online and pick up. The sandwiches and bakery goods are always so fresh and taste great! The service is fast and everyone is so nice and pleasant. Love Westside Market!

very pricey part time deli not open during the week. Lunchmeat doesn't seem to be as fresh. Guess that's because it sits unused rolls hard also macaroni salad, swimming in mayo it used to be good until new owners took over. brothers pizza open down the street seven days a week

We had a very nice lunch here. I had the roast beef and Swiss while my wife had an Italian sub. You can custom order it to suit your needs

Easily the best burger I have ever had. Bought their house made burger patty's for a bbq they were amazing! I forgot that chopped meat could have such rich flavor and be so juicy. I don't think I can ever buy grocery store chopped meat again for burgers.

Extremely pricey for small sized sandwiches with barely any meat and toppings. Stuffed breads were also lacking meat and taste. The quality of the food has definitely gone downhill since the new owner's took over.

Amazing good and staff. Pork Rolls are not a thing in California so this was an amazing experience and gave me a love for the sandwich. This would be one of my first stops back when I come back to Cape May. If you are from Cali and reading this, please get a pork roll sandwich, you won't be disappointed.

I've noticed that there aren't a lot of delis in this area, so I had high hopes for Westside. We got a salad and wrap for lunch, and both were underwhelming. The salad was made with iceberg lettuce rather than mixed greens as listed. The veggies seemed fresh but the chicken was pretty tough. My partner was unimpressed with his wrap and said the avocado wasn't fresh. Overall pretty disappointing.

Cheesesteak was average. Not enough meat. Roll got soggy. Not enough flavor and hard time tasting the cheese. Better options in the area for a cheesesteak

Westside Market, Cape May, NJ. I love the history of this place. I love that there was a car accident in front of it in 1920 or 30 and part of the market was involved. Love this place. I think my grandfather use to get his Grain and Feed here back around the turn of the century. In defense of this Cheesesteak it did sit in the car for a while. We made a second stop then drove to Nauti Distillery. It was a long lean cheesesteak. It was good but need more meat. Lettuce and tomato held up okay. The roll had an interesting consistency but it was in the wrapper and car for a long time so I'm not going to kill it. This was a good cheesesteak.

Just ordered Italian hoagies and apparently new ownership has changed the "recipe". Sadly, they're no where near the old hoagies. We're disappointed since Westside has been our "go-to" for Italian hoagies for years. Now we have find a new spot.

Westside Rocks! Great sandwiches, hot or cold. Breakfast sammies- Check! Food and home stuff you need on vacation- Check! Fresh Coffee-Check! But the absolute best part is their deli and their fresh meats. Can you say Fresh? Well, I can and it is astounding to see. Westside also seems to be a butcher shop. Fresh ground chuck or sirloin. Fresh T-Bones and I think I saw Delmonico.Freshly cut filet mignon. Fresh cut up chicken or whole chickens they will cut for you. I heard from a hotelier I know Westside provides some nearby restaurants with their meats. This is unconfirmed so take it for what it is. But after tasting the filets, chicken and T-Bones I purchased all of my friends and I agree they were the best tasting meats we've ever purchased down the shore.

Newly opened deli, butcher, and small grocery store. I got an an old Italian hoagie and my girlfriend got a Turkey and Cheese. Both were on seeded rolls stuffed with freshly sliced meats and cheese. Highly recommend it!! We will be back.

Ordered sandwiches for the beach. Half of the order was wrong. Wrong sized sandwiches and wrong types of sandwiches. One sandwich was missing. Not sure the person who answered the phone was listening to us or if they gave us the wrong order. Italian hoagies we ordered came with very little lettuce. My brother tried Westside one last time before heading home. Again, order not correct and sandwiches not good. Disappointed. Have always ordered from this deli. We will have to find a new place.

The new ownership has done a great job keeping this legendary site open. There food is great and the owners are so friendly.
