"The Westview Orchards family has been making fresh apple cider since the 1940s. Purchase some sweet cider direct from the store, or check out the 1850 cider barn loft winery for hard cider and wines. Don’t skip the peach apple cider and doughnuts." - Eater Staff

Best place for strawberry picking...its very fun to be here with family especially with kids..they have farm animals ...and big play area for kids.love this place..when it's come to strawberry picking. This would be my first choice. This time we tried blueberry and strawberry pies both tasted yummy...and we bought raw honey that was also very good 👍

I'm a nanny and have been bringing my nanny children to Westview for 17 years. I now bring my 4 year old every year. We usually have a great experience. They replaced the playground equipment this year, which was much needed! My son LOVES the monster truck addition. My only suggestions would be to update your tractor tricycles- the kids love these but they are so old and most of them don't even work anymore. Also, they seemed to be pretty understaffed this weekend. The line was very slow moving as it was only one woman checking people out, getting donuts and slushes, etc.

Amanda Hughes

Google
Great place. Cute market (with a long line always ) so much fun stuff for kids . Lots of room to roam and run . The tractor rides are fun. They take you out to the pumpkin patch, which is humongous. So many different pumpkins to pick from. Like everywhere a little bit pricey but that’s what we call inflation right? Worth the drive fun place to visit. Definitely check them out. We go every year. At least once.🎃🎃

Hands down my favorite orchard! The parking is super easy, they are so very polite, cider and donuts are delicious, you can play with goats as long as you want to, the playground is amazing, and everything for the most part is a one-time entry fee! Another very large orchard nearby charged about double the price of what we got at Westview. We chose the pick and play package, which is a ride out to the vegetable patch, pick as much as you can fit into a bin (I just cut up and froze 3 gallon size bags full of zucchini! And we still have a ton of peppers to eat for this week!), and stay to play as long as you want for $25... For the 4 of us. I think my kids spent about 45 minutes just playing with the goats! Can't wait to go back this week sometime to pick some sunflowers and maybe raspberries!

Google
Every year for 25 years, my family and I go to an orchard, but for the last several we have gone to Westview. Apples are great, the staff is mostly helpful and the grounds are well kept. My only issue is $27/peck plus $3 PER PERSON for the tractor ride (there's no option we saw to just walk back into the orchard that we saw.) Everything is more expensive, I get it but at $27 bucks the cost of a tractor should be included. This is a great orchard and they have really good produce (I heard people talk about it, I haven't purchased myself.) It's a good time.

Google
Great cider mill. We love how much there is to do. The animals are very very friendly, love pets and don’t even beg for food. They just want love. Lol. My son loved their apples and the hay area. I like that they have clean restrooms other than porta potties. Reasonably priced to do the family fun and get cider and donuts. Edit: my kids love this place!! We now live closer to it and will frequent more. Every staff member we encountered was ABOVE AND BEYOND nice. Extremely welcoming and kind and that alone will bring us back as much as possible!! Love their cider too. SO good.

Google
Beautiful place! In sumer they have a large variety of produce u-picks and ready to buy at their market too. In summer, my favorite is u-pick sweet cherry and sunflowers. In Autumn as well, they have apple and pumpkins u-pick. There are some farm animals you can feed and pet. A wooden playground, picnic tables, and restrooms are available. Friendly staff. There is plenty of free parking lot. They sell cider and donuts.

Google
I had my first time apple picking here. It was lots of fun riding the wagon and picking apples! There are many different varieties of apples to choose from! They also offer many fresh veggies for visitors to buy. The workers are all very nice. Definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to experience apple, pumpkin, raspberry picking in the fall!

Jessica R.

Yelp
Best Thing I Ever: Apple Cider Westview has the absolutely best apple cider. It's got the perfect combination of tart and sweet, and such a completely applely taste! I liked the doughnuts as well. We got the plain ones and they were such a great foil to the cider. A perfect Fall Michigan treat!

Bri V.

Yelp
FYI they changed the donuts and we were very disappointed. They are no longer served hot and fresh but in plastic containers that are already packaged. Compared to last year when they are served fresh in a brown bag (you can compare my picture from last year). The cider is good. We probably won't be back. There are a lot of other places in the area that still serve hot donuts.

Nick K.

Yelp
This review is for the apple cider only. Their donuts and pastries also rate 5 stars! What makes the apple cider so special? The taste is pure apple because it's not pasteurized or treated with chemicals. I can't prove it, but I think most cider mills use all the apples including those off the ground. These mills rely on pasteurizing to kill off any bad stuff unfortunately it also affects the taste. Westview picks the apples off the tree and will tell you what variety is currently being used.

Foodie20 R.

Yelp
Wonderful family owned establishment with a little bit of everything. Cider, donuts, fruits, veggies, wine, snacks and so much more. Large variety of activities for kids and families. So many great events offered throughout the year as well. Not sure why so many negative reviews, prices are available before purchasing, so if not in your budget they aren't forcing you to pay. The porch winery and the upstairs winery so cute with a great variety for purchase.

Mike S.

Yelp
Best cider and doughnuts around. Great place to spend a fall afternoon. Plenty of parking too which is very convenient.

Matt D.

Yelp
We've come here for years but the prices have become obscene. Now it's $15 per person for the play area. Most orchards this is free. They also started charging $3 for the ride out to the orchards for u-pick. Ridiculous. Go somewhere else. Lots of better orchards out there.

Tom U.

Yelp
The owner, while surely overwhelmed with stacks of money to count, should pay attention to these reviews. While I work today, my wife and her sister took 5 kids to enjoy a place we go every year. Short version: You are pricing yourself out of the market and insulting your annual customers. Charging for the wagon ride to pick pumpkins whereas it was always free? Stupid idea. But once people drive to get there, they will probably just pay. Charging AGAIN for a ride to PICK APPLES?? Ludicrous. And then there were the skyrocketing prices. It's everywhere, I get it, but still, the paying TWICE to ride a tractor? $18 per pumpkin. While YOU want to make more money, you forget EVERY one of your customers is already stretching their budget. We will go elsewhere next time.

Ruth S.

Yelp
Great produce and a large variety all year long. They have a lot of activities going on and they have a nice winery with light food entrées that are delicious. Wine tasting is always fun and this is a very unique Winery. Happy friendly people eager to accommodate you. They have a very unique set up where you enter the Winery through the Silo and go up inside a long staircase and then, when you get to the doorway, you go down some stairs into the winery. Also, for people who can't walk up a staircase or for handicap, they have a ramp going directly into the winery at the other end.

Liz S.

Yelp
Very poorly organized, this is my third attempt to go to this orchard. They don't update their website and have no empathy for your when you arrive there and they have canceled activities! If possible, try a different place.

Hurayra K.

Yelp
Extremely rude staff (sandy) She kept picking on us coz we look very different from her. We had hijab on and my parents knew limited English. She kept following us until we talked back but she came back every 5 minutes and gave us nasty smirks for no reason. I don't usually write bad reviews but this experience was unacceptable. If I could give zero start trust me I would. Sandy was just a nasty pathetic person !

Ross K.

Yelp
Visiting friends in town and stumbled upon this neat spot. They had some of the freshest cider and doughnuts we've ever had. We finished a quart of the Apple cider and wish we would've got the half gallon. Take my word and check this place out!

Yelp
Love the wine and the products here. Kids love it. But God forbid you want to buy wine from the little market up front. They have teens who can't sell alcohol at the registers. They are pleasant and good workers, no doubt. They have to call their boss to come and complete alcohol transactions. Nothing necessarily wrong with that process, i get it. Don't have an issue with that law. But they have been unable to get ahold of their boss the 3 separate times today that I have come to purchase wine, I waited for nearly 10 minutes each occasion, and now it's my kids nap time and we have to go home. Was hoping to buy their Hot Rod and Washington White, which are exceptional! But no of-age adult was apparently available anywhere in the vicinity to assist with my purchase so, I left empty handed. So something in that process needs to be fixed to avoid that frustrating situation in the future

Hannah G.

Yelp
Employees are rude and it cost $16 to play on their playground. Their cider slushes are 8.50 and are pretty small- double the price of most cider mills.

Nicole E.

Yelp
The line here was long but it moved along well enough. There's lots of picnic tables and some music playing outside. The kids fun line is even longer. The plain doughnut is reasonably price. It was $1.10 for a single donut. The small cider and donut was $3.22, not inexpensive but not outrageous considering this is our 7th cider mill today. The plain donut isn't bad, not super crispy or crunchy on the outside, the dough is a bit dense, but flavor isn't bad. The cider tasted average, was nice and warm and soothing, but didn't have a ton of flavor. Had the longest lines here, activities for kids here seem decent and a lot of land here for lots of folks.

Kelly S.

Yelp
My sister and I were on our way home from the Peach festival when we decided to check out the winery at Westview Orchards. We entered via the silo and took a steep winding walk up to the top level of the barn. We laughed knowing this is one time when going up steep stairs will be easier than going down (post wine consumption, LOL). Upon entering we were instantly hit with the warm that came from the ambiance. Pretty lights, lots of space, happy people, things to look at and buy, it was a great vibe from the get-go. We each ordered a wine flight. My sister got a wine slushy, hard cider and a popular white wine. I opted for a red blend and two white wines. My wines were all very smooth and tastey. My sister especially liked her wine slushy. Afterwards we fed the goats and purchased some donuts from the store. I'll be back to the winery with some friends.

Yelp
Not the greatest at communication - tried calling (only once though) no answer and reached out via Facebook messaging and no response. They do update their facebook page with posts talking about what's going on, so I would check that for updates. Not many places offer u-pick apples during a weekday, so a plus if you're looking for something to do on a day off or looking to escape the crowds. Each person over 12 is considered a picker if you go out to the apple orchards and needs to get a bag. Minimum is $10 for a half peck. That can add up if you have a family of 5. During weekdays only they were offering filling a veggie tray for $10 (peppers, etc.) The apple cider is unpasteurized. Quart for $5. They don't sell it by the cup. Plain/cinnamon donuts are $1.10 each. Other fancier donuts (like bacon bits and chocolate frosted) Are more expensive. Apple pie is $17 which is a little steep compared to other places. There's honey (~$10) and fruits as well. You need to pay separately for family fun (see their website). Overall prices are on par with the more 'well known' orchards/cider mills in the area, but you can find better prices at smaller places. Good option for apple picking during weekdays.

Yelp
Westview is a such a fun little orchard. Normally, all the hype goes to the larger orchards around Michigan, but there is something special about the quaint setting of Westview. They have a fun area for kids to run and play and a small animal farm. The property encompasses a few areas for purchasing cider, donuts, and all the yummy Michigan made goodies. I really like their winery; the wine slushy is my favorite. They have a wagon ride out to the orchard and you are able to pick some apples or cut some fresh flowers in the beautiful fields. I attended the Sunflower Festival and it was a perfect backdrop for pictures. If you happen to be out in this area, Westview is a must stop on your travels.

Sandie Y.

Yelp
I love this orchard. It is one of my fave for donuts and cider. There is a small walk through where you can watch cider being mashed and bottled. I don't have kids, so I've never done those activities. The wine room is great. I went there, had a flight, and bought some wine. The pies are crazy good and my husband loves the fruit flips. There are actual bathrooms vs port-a-potties.

Lindsay H.

Yelp
We have frequented Westview Orchard a couple times during the Fall. It's a quaint family farm and nice for an afternoon, especially with children. I have three kids under three, so it's a favorite to keep kids busy with the goats, playground, tractor ride, etc. There is a "kid fun area" for $5 per person. We decided to do this AND a tractor wagon ride. we went and paid the admission at the admissions tent and went in. We parked close by. Upon exiting, my son was having a melt down and two people were standing by the same gate we entered in-- Dylan and I didn't catch the other name. Now this is a FAMILY place. There are kids everywhere. Clearly you could see I was struggling to contain my son and I had a stroller with a 5 month old baby in it and I went to leave, where we entered. Dylan just got done opening the gate for entering people and we asked to leave, he said we would have to walk around. I said please, I have three little kids (as my son was screaming and kicking) and he said "nope, rules are rules." I had to walk entirely around the building to the complete other side to get to where I parked just 20 ft away if he would've just opened the gate. I said this was ridiculous. so we walked all the way around and I told Sandy that this was a family place, I'm a mom that needed some help and an exception and she said "sorry, rules are rules too." Now listen, I understand that and I'm a rule follower. BUT this kid Dylan was standing around, doing nothing and JUST opened the gate two minutes earlier for another family entering. I understand if it were busy and you couldn't keep track of people, but this was rude and inconsiderate. I always try to treat people the way I want to be treated and this is not how I would treat a visibly struggling Mom. And then Sandy's reaction when I told her I was upset with the situation. I think being a family orchard and trying to cater to families in the community with different attractions, events, etc. employees should use DISCRETION and help their patrons out if they ask for help or an exception of opening ONE gate to let a family leave!!!! If we decide to come back... I hope to have a better experience.

Jayne B.

Yelp
Amazing spot! People were super friendly and helpful. Donuts were on point and so was the apple cider. Went apple and raspberry picking, enjoyed every minute of it. This place has a peering zoo and tons of things to do with the kidos. Differently an awesome family day place.

Nicole M.

Yelp
Family owned business, more personable and "close" to the company than some of the larger cider mills in the area. Admission is for the day so plan for several hours to spend there. Great for a family outing.

Daren I.

Yelp
They charge you $15 per body to enter their hay bale thing. For me and my wife to watch our one child play for 15 minutes they charge you $45. Other orchards this is free. This place is insulting, never coming back

Matt B.

Yelp
We came here on a Saturday night in January to hang out in the winery, and I throughly enjoyed our evening here. We got there right as it was opening so there wasn't a crowd at all and we were able to enjoy the whole place to ourselves for a bit. There was trivia that night so we did play a few rounds of that. We had a really good time. For me, the wines weren't my favorite, but I bet someone likes them. I do have to give a shout out to KJ as she was awesome and definitely took care of us and made us feel welcome.

Sakshi A.

Yelp
We went for cherry picking in hot July. It is nice, clean. Staff is very friendly. Per bag you have to pay $8.50 mandatory unless you are 36". Six different varieties of cherry trees from tart to sweet.

Abhilash T.

Yelp
This was our first trip to Westview; we were not disappointed. We got there closer to 5 and they close at 6, but they were not out of the cinnamon sugar donuts. After all, what else is a cider mill really about?? They were delicious! This is also an awesome place for little kids. My daughter loved all the goats and donkeys and the other animals there. We climbed to the mountain of hay and overall had an awesome time here. The staff was very friendly and we didn't have to wait around for anything as I'm sure all their customers were mostly gone for the day. We will be back!!

Jack D.

Yelp
I want to love this orchard. But the cider isn bland, the donuts are cold- boring texture and taste. There's a reason 2 other near by orchards are SO busy.... Even the caramel apple was just mediocre. Fun activities for kids, but food was lacking.

Sam S.

Yelp
I used to come here every year but this is the last time i went to this crap place. First of all they have removed not 1 or 2 but rows and rows of cherry trees. Completely gone. You call this joke of a place now cherry picking and charge arm and a leg for it? It should be called find a cherry tree. On top of that they have cut all low hanging branches and you can't even get to most of the cherries even with a ladder. To add more insult they give you this useless small box to fit all your cherries and charge $9 each per person. The box size is exactly as big as you get strawberries in at a regular store. Give me a break! I asked them to give a bigger bag and they said they will give a slightly bigger one for $25 each? Are you kidding me? I can buy a whole carton of cherries from sam's club cheaper than that! And you want to know the best stupid part? They rented out half of there parking lot to a dealership as there were 50 cars parked all of the same model at the end. There greed has just ruined the cherry picking experience for me and my family. There are better farms out there and this is definitely not the one. Never again!

Sandra K D.

Yelp
WVOW did a great job on the sunflower wine dinner! The food was amazing and the wine was a new and fun experience. My only feedback would be that they assured us our group of ladies would be seated together since we had a large party and when we arrived they hadn't arranged that. It did get handled and the host asked some folks to move to accommodate us which was great. I'd just like to know when we return that it was already reserved and we wouldn't be feeling awkward at the last minute.....great experience overall though and we will be back.

Luke H.

Yelp
Very crowded but the staff was kind! Worried abt covid here though but great! I would definitely come here again and the staff selling pumpkins was especially kind! They were the best! love the Cidermill!

Francine P.

Yelp
The BEST cider in south east Michigan. Also good variety of fresh picked apples. I drive 75 miles round trip to buy Westview cider. And it freezes well! I've frozen it and sent it to my kids in Atlanta after they said it's the best they've tasted growing up in the Detroit area.

Ingrid S.

Yelp
FAMILY FUN DAY! FAMILY FUN! I came here with my sister and 9 year-old niece Saturday morning. We decided on trekking out further north because we were going to Lake Huron and they claimed to have more stuff than the Franklin Cider Mill. Their claim was right. Though, it does not come exactly cheap. $9 to do all of the fun-filled activities. $14 to pick a peck of apples. $5 for 10 minutes of freaking pony riding. REALLY?! Why is nature so freaking expensive these days? I've never gone apple picking so this was a treat. Depending on the season, you can pick anything from strawberries, peaches, cherries to pumpkins in the fall. To kill time because the tractor takes 20 minutes to come back and forth into the apple orchards, we decided to fork over the duckets for some family fun adventure time. They have an indoor maze that was labeled some kind of black hole maze. My niece was scared and I was jumping up and down enthusiastically to go inside. It was not scary. It was the entire 'Star Wars' soundtrack I think from 'Attack of the Clones' played inside of a dark room with disco balls, a strobe light and planks of black wood nailed up to try and trick you into getting lost. Which you'd have to be 5 to get lost in. IT WAS SO FREAKIN AWESOME in the bad/funny kind of way. There was a petting zoo as well which accommodated pens for two asses, a pony, a herd of goat and sheep, chickens & roosters, and a couple of Cornish hens. Dirty beasts. They were more calm than I expected them to be. There's also a playground, a giant stack of hay to roll down, tires to climb through, an enormous slide made out of tires that I totally went down. Then of course there is the little bakery hosting shelves of jars of jams and various pickled things and condiments, pies, cider donuts, and cider. I think they also make fudge and ice cream here but we went with the cider and donuts because its that time of year and it was 40 degrees when I woke up. The apple picking was fun. You definitely get your money's worth by filling up that sack. Also, don't be shy at sampling a few because you might get a 'bad apple'. I bet Halloween is awesome here as well.

Sedra M.

Yelp
The best donuts I have ever had, they were warm, fresh and delicious. My family initially drove an hour out to go to Blake's a few mins away but when we arrived and saw the massive crowd with no social distancing taking place, we immediately turned around and stopped here instead. I am so glad we did and didn't let the disappointment at Blake's ruin our day. Everything is spaced out nicely and everyone was following social distancing guidelines and best of all NO BEES!! I think we found our hidden gem.

Carey C.

Yelp
Went for Line Dancing Lessons on a Saturday evening. This was held upstairs in the barn. They were selling a 3-flat of red or white wine for $8, not bad, and they had these wurpies (wine slurpies) for $6, that were PHE-NOM-I-NAL! I will go back for these alone.

RJ C.

Yelp
If you are a canner are looking to pick more than a few pounds. This place is not for you. It also felt very unwelcoming there are signs all over the place but what you could not do. It was very intimidating for me and I felt uncomfortable with my children. It just seem like they were looking for a problem. I would not recommend this place Blake's is much nicer and much friendlier Definitely would not recommend it

Aaron T.

Yelp
Their barn they use as a winery is huge and there is still a line waiting for a table. Very popular. I miss the food; this year it's drinks only. The atmosphere and decor is spot on what they were trying for very well done. Now maybe they just unplugged it but I think their Pepsi machine has been broken for at least a year . I need my caffeine even if I'm drinking! The cider and doughnuts are great and you can watch the whole process of making the cider. They aren't messing around they have basically an automated process with lots of machines and the cider you get was literally just made as you purchase it.

Christine H.

Yelp
This was an adorable farm! Prices were a little steep, but we had a really nice time... So it was worth it. We picked apples and got cider & donuts. Will be returning next year!

Albert K.

Yelp
I found this place when my wife had an urge for fresh cherries. We caught them at the tail end of cherry season, so most of the cherries were a bit overripe. However, we managed to find a few trees that were late bloomers and they were ultra sweet and delicious. The real find of my first trip was the farm market. They sell all the usual suspects; fruits, veges, pastries, jams and butters. The fruits and veges are of exceptional freshness and quality. My wife and I have started to go here regularly to get fresh seasonal produce. Currently, you can get 10 medium or 5 large cucumbers for $1. There is also awesome sweet corn for $2.50 for 6 or $4.50 for 12. They also have a nice assortment of peppers, zucchini, squash, peaches and apple. The icing on the cake for Westview is the the small ice cream shop where they sell a wide assortment of MI produced ice cream. They serve all the classics and even have a few that I have never seen before like cider mill donut. I recommend getting a peach cider mill donut with peach Ice cream. Also, they scoop ice cream the right way by loading the cone with ice cream before putting the scoop on top. Along with the mentioned features, they also have a bakery, petting zoo and offer hayrides. I grew up going to Franklin Cider Mill, but for overall experience, Westview wins.

Ketura B.

Yelp
My daughter had a school field trip here today & had a blast...lots to do, hay bales to climb, rides through the orchard and nice shop....just wish the cool slide would have been open! She was looking forward to that as she had seen it online, so she was a little disappointed...but moved on & had a ton of fun!

Kim R.

Yelp
People that work here are rude! Brought my niece and her daughter that was in town from Texas. Came last Monday afternoon about 1pm, they were out of everything, no plain or chocolate donuts?? The cinnamon sugar donuts were too heavy on the sugar!! Very disappointing, use to bring my kids here all the time. Won't be back!!

Suzanna N.

Yelp
Had the pleasure of attending a bridal shower here. Didn't know what to expect, checked it out on their website to get a heads up. Super cute , it was held in the upstairs part of the barn. There's a ramp on one side and a spiral staircase on the other to get to the second level where the party set up. Cute decor, it has a huge bar area, but the one major drawback is that the restrooms are outside. So back down the staircase or ramp and about 30 feet or so to get to the separate building to us the bathroom. I'm going to check it out in the fall for the apples and cider. P. S. Their wines weren't to bad.

Josh P.

Yelp
If you are looking for the "Pure Michigan" experience, I do not suggest this orchard. Its true that apple picking, fall feeling magical day is perfect for any Michigan family. The problem here is the price gouging that comes along with this orchard. A family of 4 with the forced giant bag of apples they give you for picking costs $65 (that includes the entry fee). With a 4 year old and 6 year old, you have no choice but to buy a giant bag for apple picking. When they drop you off at the apple orchard, you have to walk over a quarter mile to get to trees that have actual apples... thats after waiting in their 45 minute line. If you do not want to pick apples, please expect to pay $12.99 for a half a peck of apples (about 8 apples of honeycrisp) in the store. Its a total of $26 for a gallon of cider, bag of apples and 1/2 dozen doughnuts. Correct me if I am wrong but when did it start costing MORE to cut out the middle man (the grocery store) than to go straight to the farm? Oh that's right, it shouldn't and it doesn't at the 20+ other orchards in a 10 mile radius. This place is pure price gouging at its finest. Its also obvious that they do not clean their porta potties on a daily basis. A good majority of them were completely full. One had blood smeared all over it (I am not kidding) and we were there early in the day.

David G.

Yelp
Just visited Westview this last Saturday (10/15/16). I can't say that it was the worst but I can say that I will NEVER be back. 1. The donuts / cider are average at best 2. Not waiting 30 mins in line to pay $9 / head to get in 3. Playground equipment is for older kids, if you don't mind 50 kids on a 12 X 12 piece 4. Be prepared to be gauged on everything. Cider / donuts and I was $26 deep in a blink 5. Farm animals might as well not exist 6. Go picking for apples etc if you wanna drop $65 + 7. Took 5 mins to even find a parking spot 8.The location is nothing special I left after around 1:30 hours bored / irritated out of my mind and pissed I spent $36 to get my family of 4 even in the orchard.,

Melissa J.

Yelp
We did the apple picking and pumpkin picking. I liked that we were able to bring home 5 pumpkins for $21 seemed like a good deal to me and my daughter loved it

Yelp
The grounds and activities are nice enough...I guess ...but the staff. They.are.so.rude. Every time. I thought it was just a bad day for them, but it's not. They seem so unhappy. And it reflects on the interactions with guests. Went on a field trip to pick pumpkins. We were brought to an area with very small, many rotten, already picked pumpkins. Pretty expensive for this "experience". Employee told us we needed to use porta potty bc no time to use facilities in order to get on wagon ride. Porta potty hadn't been serviced in some time....and no hand sanitizer. Yuck!! Told said employee ...who didn't seem to care...nor address the matter, as it was never replenished during our visit. Don't waste your time or money (or health!) here. If you are going to take the time and money, go to another orchard. So many good ones around! We won't be back... and neither should you

Yelp
The only reason I'm giving this a (4) and not a (5) is because of the lack of structure, let me explain. The first thing we did when we got there, surprise surprise, you guessed it, wine tasting. The lady working at the counter was extremely nice and knowledgeable of the wines, there was a handful of very delicious wines, which was great, but my issue was with the wait time. There was a decent line of 10-15 people and it seemed like only couples or people who were together were being served at a time. There needs to be at least two people at the counter helping with crowd control, or have a larger serving area so more people can taste wine and enjoy them at once rather than waiting for a turn. Next, the main reason we came here was for the sunflower fields, when we walked into the building to pay, they gave us clippers and that was it, no instructions as to where everything was, I get it, we can figure it out, but there wasn't a huge sign saying this way for sunflowers. So please address these issues. Other than that it's a great place to bring a family and enjoy all the fruit picking and petting of the animals.

Yelp
The silo staircase and upstairs tasting room are cool. The strawberry and cherry wines were good. So was the cider. But the service at the winery is questionable at best. I was the only one at the bar. Literally the one. The staff of three hurried around putting wine glasses on the bar, saw me, but didn't acknowledge me. Then another customer popped up and barked an order of seven water bottles from her. She got him his order then passivity eyed me and told another girl to help me. I work in customer service. They missed the basics. The easy part. Poor training or management or both. My wife asked if I wanted to buy a bottle and I did want to. But I didn't want to deal with waiting at an empty bar again like a schmuck. Maybe I'll visit again if I hear they've got their act together. Shame. Good wine.

Yelp
With a million cider mills to choose from in the area, my recommendation is to skip Westview. That is, unless you want bad attitudes from the staff for your $25 entry fee. The animals in the petting zoo don't snap at you, but the workers will if you ask a simple question. Save yourself the aggravation and hit Blake's, Yates, Miller's, Rochester, Paint Creek or any other Mill.

Yelp
Went to the apple orchard today with my daughter. She really enjoyed herself, there were a lot of different activities for the kids to do. I wasn't picking any apples but my daughter was. The Cashier said everyone going on the wagon ride to the orchard had to purchase a apple picking bag for $7.50 and I said I'm just taking her why would I pay for a bag too? I didnt agree with that logic so that's why I'm giving them 4/5, but I'd recommend you gi e this place a try.

Yelp
Great pies but you can't place an order in advance or check availability of product before driving 20 miles because no one answers the phone!!!! And then once you get there you're told that they need 30 minutes or more to be able to get you the frozen pie you desire ‍‍. Difficult to do when the phone isn't answered!! A sign in the parking lot indicates curbside pickup but, again, no one answers the phone of the number posted!!

Yelp
I've been to this orchard many times. Being a 20-something year old married female with no kids - I still have a blast here! Earlier this week I reached out to Westview via social media to inquire on availability. I was contacted within 5 minutes and they were beyond friendly and even wished me safe travels. You can't make someone be polite these days. My only sadness here is that I ended up now being able to make it up before my departure and went to a different business (you can read my review of them too if you'd like). Next time I won't make the mistake and go somewhere else. My family and I will be a Westview family every year on our adventures back to the mitten.
