Google
Fantastic experience. Great way to burn an hour at the airport. Westward tasting experience was great value in my opinion. Olivia was superb. Super friendly, knowledgeable and just made the experience so much more enjoyable. Also, fantastic selection of local cocktail items. Fun visit.

As a nervous traveler, it’s so refreshing to find a classy joint with amazing staff; this location has a staff that’s so friendly, the only thing they may do better than being kind is knowing what they’re selling. If you love whiskey, and want to try something different/new, you NEED to stop at this awesome airport location. Brooklyn was an absolute delight, and I can’t wait to tell my girlfriend about his experience. Thank you! And cheers!

Google
Quick taste test to possibly buy a bottle. 3rd taste I liked and wanted to purchase but alas they didn't have in small bottle. Asked to taste another and curator said "No", I'd have to purchase a flight...ahhh my flight is in 20 minutes and I'm not here to get drunk. Horrible customer service. And by the way, I barely sipped the samples as they were harsh tasting. Will never buy a Westward Whiskey after that experience. Train your unfriendly staff. ie, know your guest.

Olivia was absolutely amazing!!! I’m not a whiskey drinker at all. I’m not even that fond of alcohol in general, but she made the whole whiskey flight experience with a chocolate flight so interesting and cool. My opinion of whiskey has definitely changed, and I loved this experience so much. It was free with my priority pass but I would have happily paid for this experience as well.

Google
Visited Westward Whiskey as a part of Priority Pass. Staff was very friendly. I'm not the biggest whiskey drinker, but it was nice to get to try their mini flight. Priority pass only gets you drinks there. Not able to use credit for merchandise or take out items. For those who enjoy whiskey, probably a great spot for you to visit! A few tables on a first come first serve basis.

Google
Whiskey was very delicious, I went for the sherry cask and Pinot noir cask tasting in addition to the seasonal mini cocktail. Staff were super friendly and knowledgeable about the whiskey making process. Definitely will stop by again while waiting for my flight 🍻

Google
I didn't go to the tasting room itself, but encountered the satellite stall on the way to my gate! I didn't catch the name of the gentleman working there, but it was around 6pm on Saturday, November 1st. He was very helpful, super friendly, and knowledgeable about the product! He made the wait for my flight a lot more bearable - the whiskey helped too. Hoping to check out the distillery on my next trip to Portland!

Google
We stopped on a whim and fell in love! Nate provided amazing service, was very knowledgeable and described each cocktail perfectly. The cocktail flight was fire! Stop here while you're waiting for your flight. It won't disappoint.

Yelp
Whiskey tasting while waiting to board at PDX? Why yes, thank you!!! Like many others before me, I followed my PriorityPass to their door in Concourse C, (far from my gate in Concourse E) and took the freebie, only to realize that I couldn't go home without a $100 bottle of 110 proof whiskey! The servers were knowledgeable and attentive and didn't have to pressure me very much (or at all) to buy a bottle to go. (The product is excellent!) Especially nice since I was beyond security and didn't need to check it. I would fly back to Portland just to do this again. As soon as I kill that bottle, I guess!

Yelp
Great whiskey, was kind of disappointed that the members didn't get flight tastings, but I did get samples was a plus. Service was excellent, bought a bottle of cask strength (so good!) for my destination. Talked another guy into a membership while I was waiting. If you like whiskey you definitely need to try it here.

Yelp
We got a mini cocktail flight each and we absolutely loved the experience! It was a great way to relax before our flight. The bartender was super nice and explained everything. The drinks were high quality and they also had a great shop for souvenirs inside. Check it out!

Yelp
Value: 5 stars Service: 5 stars Drinks: 5 stars As a whiskey fan, I've enjoyed their whiskey in the past and have purchased the original and Pinot noir casked bottles. They have great whiskey, and are definitely not just an airport gimmick! You can find their whiskey in great craft cocktails in bars in Portland. As an added benefit, priority pass via many credit cards offers a $28 credit - I used it for the westward whiskey experience, which is 5 tastings and a mini cocktail. The only downside is that it only runs until 5 pm! I'll definitely be back, with or without the priority pass benefit.

Nate T.

Yelp
Honestly, I don't know if I would've stopped by this amazing place if it wasn't for the credit card program. Free whiskey flight and I tell you, I wish I had more time to try other things on the menu. Service was top notch and I feel bad cause I couldn't leave a proper tip since they did not have change for the bill in my possession.

Elliott B.

Yelp
Whiskey and overview with Tora were 5 stars fo sho. Really enjoyed my flight and Tora was truly a pleasure to chat with. My kinda people. Really solid experience. I'm a whiskey fan for sure, and this is well crafted whiskey, if I do say so myself. Only ding on rating was cost. $25 for a flight is brutal. That being said, it was certainly my choice to pay it and I was paying for the convenience of being able to have said flight at the airport, which was pretty cool. I wanted to visit more distilleries in person while in town and there wasn't enough time to do that AND all the outdoorsy stuff we wanted to do. So I paid the premium to be able to taste some Westward at the airport. But with ~1/4-oz sample pours, $25 for a flight is just brutal. So I simply couldn't give them 5 stars, even though the whiskey was solid and Tora was great.

Yelp
Went in, just to take a look. Was offered a taste and that was it. Was treated with respect and zero pressure from a terrific customer service/salesperson (Olivia). She is a wealth of knowledge regarding the products & various aspects of the business. What a gift she is to this company......what a fun place to visit. We come to PDX 3-4 times per year and will look forward to leaving space in our carryon for a bottle or two. Thanks for a terrific product!

Yelp
Stopped in while waiting for a flight. Did a tasting for 20.00. Got 4 different versions of the whisky. Really liked the stout barrel one. Nice little spot to kill time.

Shelley T.

Yelp
What a great benefit from Chase Priority Pass. Worth getting to the airport a little early to relax and get a small tasting of whiskey or whiskey cocktails. We got a whiskey cocktail flight and a single mini cocktail. I was interested in the flavor of the mocktail and they were able to put whiskey in it. I'm amazed how they can make a tiny cocktail in such tiny cups but they are so cute! We liked all but 1 flavor of the cocktails, they were all creative and tasty. The cups might seem incredibly tiny but when you think about how much liquid is actually in an old fashioned after putting in a gigantic ice cube and cut that in half, it's not unreasonable. The people there were friendly and knowledgeable. Would definitely go back if we stop by PDX again!

Yelp
A whiskey distillery tasting room at the airport? We had about an hour before boarding our flight and decided to give it a try. $20 for a four whiskey flight. We decided to pass on the cocktail option. We also got a couple of glasses of water to help clear things between each whiskey. There were a couple of nice tables in front, adjacent to the food court area, to relax and try some whiskey. The flight really helped to narrow down a whiskey I liked - the whiskey finished in the stout cask. I checked the pricing of bottles and the costs are retail prices, not marked up airport pricing, so we went with a bottle of the stout cask finish whiskey. The service here is great - the person who helped us was super helpful and very enthusiastic. It was a little odd carrying a bottle of whiskey in my carry-on luggage, but since we were through security already, it was no problem. If you have a bit of time in the C gates area, be sure to stop in.

Ivan S.

Yelp
The two representatives were extremely helpful and informative. I purchased two bottles of the Pinot Noire Cask. It is so delicious and is gradually becoming one of my favorite single malt whiskies. I was at the booth in the terminal where Southwest departs from. The booth was clean and well organized.

Yelp
If you have priority pass by all means avail yourself on the benefit! If you are going to shell out your own sheckles then go ahead and take pause. My experience might have you reconsider going, or at least which tasting you opt for. It was about 9 am and I was at the airport. Absolutely the perfect time to go whiskey tasting right? Of course, you and I are no fools, and when there is a way to taste delectable booze we are going to do it. Especially at the airport! I decided to go for the whole experience tasting for over $30 with a taste of four whiskies and one cocktail. After ordering they directed me to sit down. In a few mins a server came by with my flight and cocktail along with a paper that stated what everything was. Here's my biggest issue. My cocktail was full of ice and because they brought it ALONG with my whiskey tasting, I felt like I had to rush through my tasting because my cocktail would soon be a watery mess. Honestly, the cocktail should come after the initial whiskey tasting is finished. Just really disappointed to see it done the way it was (and not just to me). It gave me the impression of being in a tourist trap (yessss I know I was at the airport but this distillery is supposed to be legit). My second problem is the very small tasting pours. I mean there really wasn't enough to get the full experience. Seriously, very very small pours. I don't need a lot, but a full sip or two would have made it a fair way to really taste. The taste and quality of the actual whiskey I'll leave up to you to decide. My experience was such that, buying a bottle would have only been a reminder of the very meh experience I had. Who knows? If you get a tasting I'd skip the most expensive, and maybe you'll find it a better time. I just know that the experiences I later had at other distilleries were much better. I'm taking into account the whole airport thing as well.

Yelp
Probably the best PDX stop if you like whiskey. Great service and pricing. They are welcoming of Priority Pass users. A flight of four 4 oz (total 16 oz) whiskey pour is $28, interestingly the exact pricing of the Priority Pass allowance. I previously had the flight, which was great though probably not the best idea to down this much whiskey minutes before boarding a flight. Today, I decided to be more conservative and try the whiskey cocktail/old fashioned flight with much smaller volumes of whiskey for $20.

Yelp
420th review goes to this place in Portland International Airport! This place accepts priority pass, which distinguishes itself from the typical priority pass lounges and restaurants. One swipe can get you either the whiskey flight or the cocktail flight, both of which are $20 before tax/tip. I opted for the whiskey flight, which was promptly served to me. They let me eat my breakfast as I tasted the whiskey, which is nice because usually restaurants don't let you bring outside food. I can't complain about small portions of whiskey, since it's an airport. They are of pretty good quality, something you won't get in a college party. They give you a handout with supporting materials if you are interested in knowing the minute flavors of each whiskey. The server even explained the details to me, which you could opt out if you wish. Even if you only got 50 min to make a connecting flight, don't skip out on this! I was in and out within 15 minutes, as everything was quick, but you could also spend more or less time depending on what you want

Yelp
Great quality whiskey flights and original mini cocktails. Tried the marionberry old fashioned by staff recommendation and it was excellent. Shot glass size cocktail sample, so next I'll have to remember to ask for no ice :)

Lawrence L.

Yelp
Especially if you have the Priority Pass this is a great place to stop in for some Whiskey or Spirits tasting even if you have just 10 minutes before your flight boards. Westward Whiskey is a local Portland distiller that is well represented in Terminal C. For $28 you get 4 tastes of their barley whiskey (aged in different barrels for different lengths) and a full serving of a cocktail. For $20 you can skip the cocktail. A previous iteration of the offer included a free Glencairn glass (sad that this is no longer an option). Westward Whiskey is one of those businesses that really make PDX stand out as one of the PNW's best kept secrets as an airport.

Erica H.

Yelp
Great choices and convenient. The tasting was a plus and the employee was incredibly knowledgeable. Couldn't complain and certainly enjoying our bottle at home.

Jeffrey T.

Yelp
I am not a crazy whiskey lover - but it was definitely a cool experience. If you are a Priority Pass cardholder, this experience is essentially FREE(add tip of course!) As a casual whiskey drinker, I would recommend getting the cocktail instead as it is less potent than the actual tastings. Although, if you are a whiskey lover this might be worth it! The flight was definitely more "fun" after this!

John John G.

Yelp
What a great experience. Olivia was a great host explained so well everything about the whiskey, the processes, and was just generally nice. Even though we were in the middle of an airport, it felt little different than costing a tasting room at the actual distillery.... Or Westward's case I guess I should say Brewery.

Darcey H.

Yelp
Why hasn't someone thought of this sooner; A whiskey tasting room with cocktail flights - at an airport. Westward is one of my fav tasting rooms in downtown Portland and my they have an outpost at PDX. And instead of being a dark cave of a spot it's open, bright and plenty of high top tables for standing at in case you've been sitting too long.

Jonathan B.

Yelp
The bartenders are just as phenomenal and interesting as the drinks they serve. This place is the perfect lounge.

Yelp
Whiskey Flight with breakfast? When you're stuck in the airport for 6 hours, why not??? Bacon, egg and cheddar on whole wheat from Potbelly Sandwich shop across the way pairs AMAZINGLY well with the flight. Don't judge me...be happy... Amazing whiskeys! They'll let you taste before you buy. I picked up a half bottle of their standard whiskey to support breast cancer research. No brainer. Great staff! Super friendly and super knowledgeable! I just wish I could visit without flying into or out of Portland.

Jacques D.

Yelp
Super fun place, with really cool products. You can have a tasting while waiting for your next flight, pick up some fantastic tasting whiskey, or some accoutrements such as a leather bound flask. I really enjoyed visiting the store.

Samuel Y.

Yelp
I was surprised to see this listed as part of the priority pass and I was fortunate to have about 30 minutes before boarding began for my flight back home. I asked the lady behind the desk and she said that you get $28 credit which is perfect to try the westward experience or any of the other options. I happily sipped through the whiskey flight and seeing as I was full from downing 2 cups of coffee and half a bottle of water prior to arriving at the airport, it was still an enjoyable experience. Friendly service and a nice sample of the whiskeys which also included a shot/cocktail and toasted barley, I recommend that you come enjoy this experience.

D C.

Yelp
If you like whiskey and bourbon, great place to relax while sampling the whiskey. Quite a selection and next to the food court. Not bad. Will purchase A bottle. Glad I stopped by.

April A.

Yelp
I had a flight delay, and was looking for somewhere to kill some time when I happened upon Westward Whiskey in the airport. I found it via Priority Pass where they offer $28 off your bill. Their menu is pretty simple - two types of whiskey tastings and one cocktail tasting, along with just cocktails you can order. A tasting will run you $20, which leaves room for a cocktail afterwards - all for free if you have priority pass!! Jordan was our server and was super nice, and did the tasting as you would expect at a distillery. He chatted with us for 10 min or so as he walked us through what we were drinking, the differences etc. He was funny, and super nice and just made it an enjoyable experience. If you are short on time, I'd recommend just grabbing a cocktail or something like that since the best part of the tasting was having the time to learn a bit about the whiskey. Would definitely recommend checking them out - I'm sure their other Portland locations are cool too. Thanks for showing us a good time Jordan!

Dwayne M.

Yelp
Great, Portland-made quality whiskey. I really love the pinot noir cask-aged whiskey. I've been a member of their club for 2 years - highly recommended. Also got a pair of their special edition Shwood wooden sunglasses, which are very high quality.

Casey V.

Yelp
Jenna, Travis, and Ryan absolutely killed it! Best service and some of the best whiskey I've ever had!!

Kelly C.

Yelp
I used to love this place. Now, not so much. They have whiskey flights and cocktail flights. It used to be that the cocktail flights were varied, yummy cocktails. Now it is just all old fashioned varieties which are not good at all unless you are just a straight whiskey lover. Would love them to bring back the old cocktail flights. Until then, this will be a miss for me.

Brett R.

Yelp
Wow. Limited help with understanding their program, limited explanations of what is what. I bought a tasting flight. The guy brought it out, explained what to expect, who they were, etc. Nice. I then buy an old fashioned tasting that came out as the size of my thumb. Not at all what I expected. That's fine. My mistake. I go back and ask for a full drink. It's asked behind the counter if I'm eligible for more. I say I've had the equivalent of one drink. I'm told "do you want the drink or not?". "I have OLCC rules I have to follow", by the lady behind the counter. Clearly, unfriendly, clearly not helpful, and quite frankly, rude. I politely retreated, paid and went back to my table. I do not recommend this establishment.
