Wetherspoon at Sanctuary

Really good wetherspoons at the best of times, quiz nights run every Sunday at 7:30pm and usually every single table is taken by 5:30pm, especially when there is a big football game on, atmosphere is brilliant. Food and drinks usually arrive quite quickly but the bar staff can be very picky at when they choose to ID you after 9pm and for some reason don't accept student IDs even when you haven't ordered an alcoholic drink. It also takes them ages to clean tables and often forget to put the cheese on garlic bread when you order a cheesey garlic bread.

Food is nice and there’s a variety of it, as well as deals all the time. The service is great too and tables are always clean and easy to find. The atmosphere if friendly and it can get loud but can’t blame that on the staff!

I recently had the chance to visit the Wetherspoons at Hull University and overall, it was a pretty solid experience. That said, the atmosphere can still be lively and fun, especially during peak hours when students are out socializing. It's a good place to catch up with friends, whether you're grabbing a meal or just enjoying a drink. I appreciate the effort that goes into making it a welcoming environment for students, and I think it can be a great spot if you're looking to relax after classes or enjoy a night out. In conclusion, while the influx of the public can sometimes dilute the student vibe, the Wetherspoons at Hull University remains a solid choice for affordable food and drinks. I’d definitely recommend it to fellow students, giving it a solid 4 stars!

Didn't have food so cannot rate. However, probably the worst Wetherspoons I've ever been in and I love there pubs. Slow service, hardly any staff on a Friday night, and the place just wasn't clean. It looked dirty, tired and run down

For visitors it could be better sign posted as it is part of the campus. Once inside the atmosphere was bustling, service was great and the food tasty and arrived hot. It even pleased the fussy 3 year old.

Extensive menu, lovely outside seating and lovely greenery around. Beautiful food, family owned place

Stopped in for a pint. Was very quiet, it was in the student off season though, so that played a lot to the quiet atmosphere. But beers were cheap. My first pint tasted off, the barmaid happily pulled another, but it still tasted off. She pulled me a different drink and all was well.
