Wow; have been here dozens of times, but can't believe it's been 9 years since my last review. It's still one of our favorite wine bars -- love the zen vibe - plants, wood, cool decor, vintage cookbooks, cozy and relaxing, always with unique music playing. Love it when the owner, Christian is here, but Jason and Rose are incredible, too; so welcoming and inviting. Jason even poured us tastes of their Austrian wine today, similar to a Blaufrankisch; really floral and delightful.
But most importantly, the food and wines are really great and unique. Today, we each had a glass of the Chenin Blanc and Monstraell (Mouvedre), which were both excellent, and a glass of the white Sangria (can't go wrong with the red Sangria either). At happy hour, just $7/glass. Then, we had one of our favorites -- the caprese salad which has some soy, in addition to the balsamic and olive oil, two orders of the Oysters Rockefeller - really delicious; the house special Chicken & Chorizo flatbread, which is wonderful, and the steak skewers, which were tender and delicious, all just $7 each for tasting portions on happy hour (5-6 pm). They have lovely indoor seating, plus nice front and side patios; definitely worth checking out, or coming back!
