Do American Teens Still Need the Mall? - Eater

"By the time I get to the front of the line at Wetzel’s Pretzels, they’re out of hot dogs — one last skin-prickling disrespect, a halfway-decent hot dog being the only thing standing between me and a full-blown panic attack." - Jamie Loftus

Polite service, tasty pretzel bites BUT there was hair in my frozen drink and I saw it after I had been drinking it and it had melted 🤢

Just left. The lady at the front rude! And the mini dogs are burnt!!!! These are not fresh at all! Taste like the were re warmed then burnt. And the dogs fall out soon as u pick it up. Gross. Will most definitely stick to aunt Annie’s.

Google
This was terrible! I was at this counter and this lady paid for my water and I was getting the change because I was gonna put it in the tip basket because the lady who paid already went away, And the lady who had the audacity to put the money, I was gonna put in the chip jar in the tip jar without even asking me, and she told me it wasn’t your money wasnt ur money was it like girl bffr🙄🙄🙄

Prices disconnected from reality. $6 for a pretzel. $8 for bites. This is not AT&T stadium. Some baked dough isn’t worth these outlandish prices.

Manager was very rude. Food was under cook. Manager told me you have 10 minutes to bring food back. Very unprofessional. She shouldn't be in charge of anything.

The lady at the front I think she’s the manager. She forgot to put my jalapeño cheese dip. I came back to get it she told me she put it in there. I told her she didn’t. She wanted to argue with me whether she did or not, I walked away. I couldn’t believe this was real. Anyways horrible customer service. Never again. Whoever the lady that closed on this Friday night was.

I enjoy the mini dogs from here with cheese dip! My food order is always fresh & a good temperature. I usually stop here before going home:

Yelp
This update is to address Eric. "Please email customerservice@wetzels.com with your contact information so we can address your concerns directly. Thank you!" This response is meaningless if you don't do anything about it. After first review, you provided your response but I went again and nothing changed. Please take ownership of your business and actually say what you're going to do instead of putting on a facade and reaching out here but making no real improvements. I don't need to send an additional email when my concerns are explicitly enumerated here already.

Yelp
The pepperoni pretzel ($7) was huge and cheesy! Only downside is that it's slightly oily, but it had a lot of flavor and def bang for your buck. The service was super quick! Being in the food court they had plenty of seating next to the kiosk. Would rec them if your at the mall for an extended visit.

Yelp
Great location inside of North Park Mall. This is located on the second level near the food court. The food was fresh and hot I got 2 pretzel dogs. One for now and one for later and a large drink. It was a tad expensive coming in at just under $20 but it's worth it. I am also glad that the hotdogs are beef hotdogs. I don't eat pork so it's important to have other options. I would recommend this location

Yelp
I'm not sure where to begin; I honestly believe I could just say, "These are some of the finest mall pretzels you'll ever taste," and leave it at that. For example, they have a little bit of everything; if you have a sweet tooth and crave a sweet pretzel, they have sugar/almond coated pretzels, which are made of such soft dough and, in my experience, have been just utterly amazing; they truly exceed expectations with them, but, as I was mentioning, they have a little of both worlds, so if you're not a sweet tooth person, they also have pizza pretzels. Let me tell you, if you like pizza and pretzels, these things are just utterly mind-bending; they are extremely crunchy yet soft at the same time, and it's hard to explain unless you try them; not to mention, if you like some spice, they also offer a jalapeno pepperoni version, which is my favorite so far. Another thing that enhances the flavor of the pretzel and takes it to the next level is their dipping sauce, which they have this cheese dipping sauce that I decided to try. I will say it is a bit pricey for the amount, but let me tell you, I normally despise cheese, and this is one of the first dipping cheeses that I was pleasantly surprised by. I'm not saying I love it, but it is most definitely tasty, and makes the pretzel 10x better.  Overall, if you're a pretzel fan or looking for one, this place will not disappoint, as I now consider it one of the holy grails of the NorthPark food court. However, be advised, it's not for everyone. Except for those seeking it.

Yelp
I regretted getting a not good pretzel and not tasty cheese sauce for $7. :( the people working were nice and they gave me free water unlike Auntie Ann's who has now decided to charge you $3 for a water. An extra star for the water and people.

Yelp
Good pretzels but they weren't able to split the regular with cinnamon sugar. I've had that for years as long as I ordered the large but the manager said no. Wish they went back to doing that like they have for a long time - $6 for a container of each is a lot when you don't want that many pretzels. Still delicious.

Yelp
Great food for a low cost! you really need to try the cheesy dog bites! they are like pigs in a blanket but they taste like 5x better!!!

Daniela S.

Yelp
Best pretzels I've ever had. Ever. Amazing. Customer service is not good because it's teenagers who don't care but on the bright side, they're always busy so there's a high chance that your pretzels will be freshly made. The jalapeño cheese dip is delicious with the bites.

Yelp
Mall pretzels are an art unto themselves. If you are a true connoisseur of mall pretzels; you know that there are pretzels that are adequate, and then there are those that are magnificent. These Wetzel's Pretzels fall into the later designation. Where do I begin? Essentially, if you are wanting to commit carbacide- this is a great start. I have sated many a carb craving with these majestic pretzels. The first time I ever had one, it shattered all my notions of what a pretzel was. Growing up, my only point of reference were the dried up, icky pretzels sold in the chip aisle with the big grains of salt on them. These Wetzel's pretzel's are the complete antithesis of that incarnation. The pretzels use a fluffy dough that is very gratifying and less tough than your typical mall pretzel. I have had several varieties including the unsalted original, the peperoni and the almond crunch. Without a doubt; the almond crunch is my favorite and melds together seamlesslesly the flavors of almond, vanilla, butter and the most gratifying sensation of perfect pretzel dough. In addition to Pretzels, they also serve pretzel bites, which are pretzels cut up into bits and served in a bag. Also, pretzel dogs and dipping sauces are available too. I never get the dipping sauces though, because the pretzels taste so good on their own. Finally a pretzel so well done that it does not need a sauce to enhance it! Kudos to Wetzel's for making a fine pretzel. I am a total convert to this chain and will not buy mall pretzels from anywhere else.

Yelp
I will be looking for this pretzel place when I come back. Very friendly employees. Pretzels were just cooling off some when I ordered it. The pepperoni pretzel is good. Just a wee bit spicy. This was my first time trying a pepperoni pretzel. They are near the juice bar. I am at North Park Mall. Thank you Wetzel Pretzels for making my trip to the mall better.

Yelp
Ugg google and other sites show this closes at 9 - placed an order at 830 online and ran to pick up my order and they were closed - went back the next day and they offered a refund or we could complete the order so we decided to go ahead and pick up the pretzels - the employee was super apologetic about it and gave us a free pretzel for the inconvenience

Yelp
You can't beat a buttery, salty mall pretzel. Wetzel's does not let you down. My husband and I love to stop here on the way out of a movie at the AMC location in North Park. The original pretzel with salt and cheese to dip it in is the way to go! They often hand out free samples which are delicious as well. BUT the original is still my favorite!

Yelp
Free samples drew me in to get almond bites. It's a bag stuffed full of pretzels with almond greatness. You can add icing if you like or just attach the feed bag to your face and chow down. I normally don't eat much of this and should stop shopping while I'm starving. I have tried a few of the various pretzels and they are OK. Much better then movie theater quality that is for sure. This was my first time eating the almond bites but sadly won't be my last. Damn, you teenage worker who tricked me into eating this. Doug will be so sad after seeing me attach the feed bag to my face and devour these almond bites without breathing.

Yelp
If you're buying multiple items, be sure to do the math. Didn't receive or offered a receipt, and was overcharged $3 on a $12 Ticket. When I received my change and questioned the price, got nothing but blank stares until someone else piped up"No that's the right price." ?!?

Preston R.

Yelp
I love fresh hot soft pretzels and I was excited to see that there was a Pretzel Shop inside the Wal-Mart in Rowlett. I bought two of there pretzels & a lemonade. I was a bit surprised by the cost, $11+. Sad to say that my anticipation greatly exceeded the quality and taste of both the pretzels and the lemonade. I wouldn't call the pretzels soft, a more apt description would be soggy and only slightly above room temperature. The lemonade reminded me of Country Time mix. The only positive is the did have packets of German mustard. Won't be back
