The Wharf Review - Rockaway Park - New York - The Infatuation

"Located on Jamaica Bay, The Wharf is a cash-only restaurant with a huge outdoor patio that’s perfect for brunch with the family or a drink at the bar. The menu is made up of the classics—benedicts at breakfast, burgers and the like—as well as some seafood specials like fish and chips and a pretty sizable lobster roll. The ideal place to sit with a group is on the covered portion of the deck that extends even further out into the water, but the shaded outdoor bar area is where you come for a long, leisurely drink with yourself or one other person. It’s the low-key, but lively corner of the restaurant, full of friendly regulars, where you can grab a frozen Arnold Palmer cocktail and watch the ferry come in against the backdrop of Brooklyn." - Neha Talreja

I'll keep it simple: Ravens Bar so know your sports on entry. Solid happy hour with cheap cheap options. Solid beer selection and usually not worth the mixed drinks. A little loud and packed (again, sports bar) The food is cheap but frankly not that great even for cheap food. Classic sports bar minus any of the really good perks of a sports bar. And... its a Ravens bar...

This is a Baltimore Ravens bar located in Giants / Patriots territory. They have 1 traditional bar and another bar upstairs that connects to a covered patio. The patio is quite large too. The food here is mostly bar food (burgers, wings, etc), and is very good. If you like football, basketball, baseball, and beer this is a good bar to check out!

Pretty nice sports bar right in the heart of Murray Hill. As a head's up, this place is deceivingly huge! They have multiple floors - the first floor has a bar immediately when you walk in, and then you can go up a small flight of stairs to an upstairs/balcony section with another bar and they have some tables, and then you go through a door to their outdoor covered deck, which has another bar and a lot of tables. The only downside on the deck is that there are only two TVs, so if you're coming to watch a game, you'll have to come early or wait to get a table that has a good view of one of the TVs. However, I tend to enjoy any sort of outdoor space in NYC where you can eat/drink. Overall, the place is decent - probably higher on my list of sports bars in the area. They have beer specials and pretty much have anything and everything you could want, drinkwise, and their food is decent. My friend and I came here one night to watch football, and we ordered the nachos and I got a garden veggie burger, but served on their normal bun (their menu has the veggie burger in a pita). The food was pretty good for bar food and for some reason, I think nachos at bars are one of the greatest things ever. Their nachos didn't disappoint - loaded with cheese, salsa, beans, veggies, sour cream, and guac. Perfect amount to clog my arteries. The burger was pretty good and it comes with waffle fries, which is always a nice substitute instead of traditional fries. I definitely pigged out and didn't get anything healthy, so that's probably another reason why it all tasted good. Also, it always seems to be packed with people, which is a good sign. People come for happy hour, dinner, corporate parties, etc. so it's usually packed.

The server was good and so was the food. However it wasn't that great for the price. I'd say, avoid the crab cakes (they were too sweet and didn't have much flavor other than crab and bread). Also the veggies and potatoes that come with the entree aren't seasoned. Veggies have a little salt, potatoes have nothing. Overall it was okay. But if you are going for drinks you might enjoy it a little more.

Good place heavily populated with after work midtown crowd. It has good drink specials and is a nice place to meet people after work without being overly cramped. You have to be in the mood for chatty loud co-workers but if you are, this place is for you!

Food was ok, def cheaper than elsewhere still no lack in quality. Drinks were cheap, still I did not feel it like in previous bars. . . Anyways not a bad choice for drinks and sports with some bar food

OK for a quick drink. Outdoor patio in the back. On the verge of being a dive.
