Cook to order, Cod tasted very fresh. Had the dinner fish & chips around 5pm, lunch would be a much better deal before 4pm. 15 pounds vs 9 pounds

Google
A fantastic relaxed fish and chip shop/ restaurant. Great staff and a very generous helping of pipping hot fresh food well priced. I'll be back for sure as made to feel welcome and good value for money. Small tip included but feel free to increase it. Update as I previously sung its praises but now very disappointed after being charged £2.50 for a Can of lemonade and a £1 service charge for eating in. Was going to have fish but at £11 for the cheapest fish i settle for a pie. Not worth the money so dropped to reflect not satisfied.

Google
It's an alright place with tasty cod. The prices are a bit high because you need to buy chips separately. However lady behind the counter was welcoming and the fish was served reasonably quickly.

Viv Hans

Google
Had the lunch deal- cod with chips. Freshly cooked. Added the mushy peas. 🇬🇧 Lady behind the counter was friendly and attentive.

Came here on a suggestion from a friend. Ordered the haddock fish and chips and the calamari. We were told we couldn’t eat in as they were to be closing soon. Overall, the fish was ok, the chips were ok , but the calamari was very good. Would recommend for the calamari. Don’t forget to follow me.

Google
It has been 45 years since I was last in England. This was a layover for a business trip. I knew I wanted to have Fish and Chips while here. What the Fish was the highest rated place within a 30 minute walk from my hotel. The reviews Talked about the quality of batter and generous portions. I had the Haddock and it lives up to the billing. Wonderfully delicious batter and a sizable piece of Haddock. The atmosphere is Really just a nice local chip shop. Most people were taking out and Uber eats was picking up. The atmosphere for me was what I was looking for.

Claudia

Google
Great fish 'n chips. We had the haddock and after reading so many reviews here which said that the portions of chips were so large we decided to share one portion - very good idea! It is a take-away, of course, so one shouldn’t expect nice furniture or a cosy atmosphere. But if you care about really superb fish 'n chips and good value for your money, honestly, then this is the place to go!

Google
This place was great. We were greeted by a friendly cashier/waitress. Wait time was short. Food was well cooked. We had a fish cake with chips and mincemeat pie. Place was clean. Cost was a bit high, but the service and tasty food made up for it 🥰 would definitely recommend!

Martin T.

Yelp
Went here because of the reviews and glad I did They have the same price for take away as well as sit down which is unusual in London I come to London 3 or 4 times a year and will be back They deserve the 5 stars

Kristin F.

Yelp
Solid fish and chips! Was walking distance from my hotel when I needed a quick lunch! Would absolutely go back for more!!

Lenny L.

Yelp
This place is closed, we went all the way from Victoria station looking for fish and chips and to our surprised it's close. Despite having open hours on Yelp. We went across and found what the fish, and it's good unpretentious place to eat

Jennifer I.

Yelp
I sat in a half empty restaurant for 20 minutes and no one approached me with a menue. I left. It could have been great but I will never know.

Ayla W.

Yelp
This restaurant is so good! We loved it. First time in London and we were looking for a restaurant near our hotel. Of course we got fish and chips. The portion size is massive and that's saying a lot coming from an American lol. The workers were awesome and so nice. They answered all of our dumb questions and we had good laughs. The beer is good and the ginger beer is good. Everything is a la carte. Fish ranges from 8 to 11pounds , chips are 3 pounds, other sides around 3 pounds and beer around 5 pounds. What a good choice!

Laura W.

Yelp
The location is great-right near BrewDog. Although they do have drinks there, I'd recommend BrewDog first. Anyways, the quality of this fish and chips was my preferred of the two places we tried. The portions are very large to boot. My husband and I each ordered a fish and chips meal-his with cod and mine with haddock. Instead of mushy peas, we asked for double chips but were told they can't do that (ok.....). The fish was flaky and the batter was crisp. The chips were hot, fresh cut, and crisp. They lacked flavor though. They sell extra sauces so we tried the chipotle mayonnaise, which was superior (IMO) to the tarter sauce. It was delicious with both the chips and fish. I'd suggest ordering 2. The atmosphere is very casual in that you order at the counter and pay with your food being delivered to your table later. They also do a brisk takeaway business. I was satisfied with our meal here and found the price point to be reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. I'd definitely suggest visiting if you are in the area and looking for fish and chips!

Mark A.

Yelp
You can't go wrong visiting here. Went with the cod w chips and both were spot on. Serving sizes were more than adequate, plus the made in house tarter sauce went equally well with the fish. The staff were helpful and I liked the interior space. But the food was the star and thanks to Yelp I found another solid restaurant.

Yelp
Very, very good chippy near Hammersmith. I don't usually eat fish and chips when I'm in London, but I was craving some comfort food when I was stuck in the rain. Kerbisher & Malt was nearby, and I'd heard good things about them. I was happy I did. The chips were excellent - not too greasy, but crunchy on the outside (almost like they were twice fried) and creamy on the inside. Mmmm. For the fish, I opted for the cod. Not greasy nor overly salted. Practically perfect- moist, flaky fish. I was also very impressed by their housemade tartar sauce. I also heard they brew their own beer. Although I didn't get to try it this time around, I'm definitely pairing their house brew with some haddock when I'm back in town.

Bijou N.

Yelp
Delicious! My friends and I were looking for a good fish n chips place (typical tourists that we are) and we came across Kerbisher and Malt on yelp! It's a really nice and simple ambiance. You can choose from a variety of different fish and cook them in different ways. Cooking methods can be grilled or fried (in original breadcrumbs or matzo) and you'll get chips too! There are a few different sauces available. The fish is really moist and soft inside a crisp crust. Less oily than other places I tried for fish n chips in London. Definitely recommend this for fish n chips in London! A little pricy but worth it.

Meike B.

Yelp
... well, doesn't time fly, six years since my enthusiastic review! If you arrive at quarter to ten on a Friday night, Kerbisher & Malt has the same ambience of every fish & chips show in London. Tired and drunk people spotted around the tables adding beer breath to the greasy air. Staff were extremely unwelcoming - not surprisingly, we found out they were focused on closing in 15 minutes and not particularly interested in new customers. One was clearing tables without looking up, the one behind the corner was beyond commenting on the menu but luckily told us we had just a few minutes before the place closed. With a different attitude they could probably have persuaded us to order and finish our meal outside, I'm glad they didn't even try as we chanced upon the most charming cafe just a few minutes away.

Carlos D.

Yelp
The gold standard for fish and chips, served in a casual restaurant setting. Quality sides made on site, mashed peas, pickled onion rings...large portions, friendly atmosphere.

Mark S.

Yelp
I've been trying fish n chips all over London during my stay and this place is up there with the absolute best of 'em - I again went with cod n chips to play it safe but it seems like haddock or halibut is pretty popular/trendy too. The fish was crispy and cooked to a beautiful golden brown - it wasn't too oily either like some other places, probably the best fried fish that I've had yet! The fries were as good as it gets, crisp and soft. The kicker for them is they make their tartar sauce in-house and I can't quite put my finger on it but I believe they use an egg yolk batter base (I should've asked!) which made for an intriguing taste.

Yelp
Meal: Dinner, dine in All Ratings out of 10: Quality of food: 8 Food to Spend Value: 8 Quality of Service: 8 Overall Rating: 8 I had to try true British fish and chips at least once while in London. After talking with a few folks, I received a lot of recommendations for Kerbisher & Malt. So for a mid-week dinner in the Hammersmith area, I headed over to see what I thought. There were 5 different kinds of fish on the menu, several which I was familiar with (haddock and cod), and a few I was not. I decided to try Plaice, battered of course, with chips and a side of mushy peas and bread and butter. The fish had a flaky texture to it and was quite juicy, and the batter on the fish was very well done. British beer battering is definitely different from a lot of fish and chips found stateside, but I enjoyed the flavor and texture quite a bit. The mushy peas were not my cup of tea, but I was glad I tried them, as they were prepared well. The fries that came with the fish were quite good and are fresh cut in house. You could taste the freshness, and the double frying really did them justice. Kerbisher & Malt is unassuming from the outside and fairly small inside. You order your food first, find a table, and they bring it out to you when it is ready. The prices were very reasonable, the portion sizes good, and the quality also quite good. I personally prefer fish and chips I get in coastal cities in the US to the British variety, but even so I really enjoyed my meal and would definitely return when back in London.

James K.

Yelp
Our favorite food in town. You can tell they use quality ingredients. The crust is perfect and the toppings are out of this world.

Ray C.

Yelp
Best fish & chips I've ever had in London hands down!!! Staff were very friendly and accommodating with our children. We will definitely seek this place out on our next family romp in London.

Cyndi G.

Yelp
Wonderful! So glad we found this place our first day in London. We'll be back. Tartare sauce was fabulous. Cod and Chips were everything we hoped for as well.

Pat R.

Yelp
The standard for Fish and Chips! First off a big shout out to Robyn J for the suggestion! According to the people I was working with this place is posh for fish add chips however to the tourist it cost the same as any other establishment that they would visit for their fish and chip fix... This place is well of the beaten path for most tourists since there is nothing really to see in Hammersmith but I promise if you make the trek to this place you won't be disappointed. First off they offer 4 different types of fish (I had the haddock). It's served as a massive filet SKIN OFF (as it should be in my opinion) and was light and fluffy. Add malt vinegar and a bit of their homemade tartar sauce and BAM! Winner winner fish dinner! They did not have any beer on tap BUT they had meantime lager which made a good pairing for the dinner... Hands down the best of the 4 places I had fish an chips on this trip...

Shana B.

Yelp
Our Air B&B host recommended Kerbisher & Malt for fish & chips. I hadn't had it in over a decade, but I like pretty much anything fried, so I knew I was guaranteed to eat whatever was put in front of me. I wasn't expecting this to be as good as it was!! I'm ashamed to say I ate it all. (If you've been reading my other reviews, you'll notice a trend.) I had the battered haddock with chips, and everything was cooked so perfectly. The fish is cooked to order, so it was super fresh and not greasy at all. (I'm looking back at my picture and can't believe I ate the whole thing - the piece of fish was HUGE!) I had it with tartare sauce and a bottle of cider. As simple as this dish is, I don't think it could have gotten any better than that. K&M itself has sort of a kitchen / cafeteria vibe, with bright lights and a clean, casual setting. I wouldn't necessarily come here for a date night, but I would come running for their fish & chips again for sure.

Bryant P.

Yelp
I agree with the other user reviews here - the fish is absolutely fantastic. The chips - while they're quite good and taste better than your run of the mill bar chips - are only "good". Their sauce selection is worthwhile and their drink selection is nice. Though the chips fell just a bit flat, the experience overall was marvelous. Friendly staff and prompt service. Highly recommended for anyone searching for the quintessential fish and chips experience while in London!

T E.

Yelp
A little bit pricey compared to your local chippy but WELL worth it. Fantastic fish and chips, whitebait and crispy squid. Easily the best I've had in London. READ THAT AGAIN! Great location and friendly staff as well. Do yourself a favour and spend a few bob more than usual on a great dinner in Hammersmith.

Chad W.

Yelp
Good stuff. Staff are a bit impersonal, but food is great. Chip portions are too big and the chip doesn't really get a lot of love. Very run of the mill chips. Fish great. Vibe great. Glad they're here.

Tiffany B.

Yelp
YaaaaAaaAaaS fish & chips - by far one of my favorite heart attack inducing meals. My cousin Tammy T. & I ordered takeout with a side of mushy peas & pickled onion rings. We ordered the cod & it was absolutely delicious. The fish was perfectly flakey, moist, & the batter was really nice. The chips were pretty good, but you know, I'm American, so I prefer them to be extra crispy rather than chunky. The pickled onion rings were so great - I really wish this caught on in America. Pickled onion flavors for daAaAys. The mushy peas were okay, not the greatest (needed a little something extra & was more watery than mushy). Probably wouldn't order that again, but pickled onion rings, yaaaas qu333n yaas. Highly recommend if you're in the area. It's a really nice chippy; more on the hipster side & very clean. It's a little pricey, but the portions are huge. Lots of chips with your fish.

Rose L.

Yelp
Excellent fish and chips. Definitely recommend to others. You'll have a great time here. But do you get here early. There is limited seating. Enjoy yourself. They have great chips. They have good fish. They don't charge you extra for grilling, frying, battering. We did try the haddock, cod and the seafood Fishcake. We also tried the chips with sweet chili sauce. Yummy.

Rocky Betty Jo P.

Yelp
Nothing special about this place. The staff was friendly and informative but I just didn't think the food was that good. Portion size was huge but I didn't finish it all. I've had better fish at long John silvers.

Luca D.

Yelp
This is some sort of up-scale fish and chips diner. The food was good but if you ask me not better than in any of the shabbier, more basic fish and chips diners scattered all over London. The difference, apart from the pleasant décor, is that here you can get some yummy sides and salads (mushy peas, crunched potatoes etc) to go with your fish and chips. All in all good if you are around Hammersmith, but don't come here from the other end of London just to try this restaurant. It's probably not worth the trip.

Don S.

Yelp
Better late then never to getting around writing a Yelp review.... from Christmas 2015 in London. Stayed nearby in West Kensington, hopped on a Boris city bicycle and explored the nearby area. Thanks to Yelp and TimeOut, I already had all the foodie spots mapped out for my regular visits to London! Kerbisher & Malts is a top notch fish & chippy shop, clean interior design, and friendly staff at the counter. I liked the long wooden table down one of the sides, where a single patron can comfortably eat their meal. The kitchen at K&L sets themselves apart from the rest of the contenders and pretenders for London's best fish and chips shop by delivering on high quality fillets of fish, ranging from haddock, cod, plaice, pollock, and coley. The fillets are lightly battered, and cooked fresh to order. Accompanying the fish is a rich tartare sauce made on the premises, and the mushy peas are made in-house as well. The double frying technique used by K&L on their chips gives it a crunchy exterior with a fluffly interior. An old fashioned chippy shop that prides itself on using fresh ingredients with no preservatives. Worth traveling out of the way to hit up one of their few locations in town.

Nichole L.

Yelp
Definitely hits the mark for your contemporary fish & chip spot. Try the haddock with some fennel & dill salad.

Steve S.

Yelp
This is easily one of my favorite places in Hammersmith. This is a tiny fish and chip shop located on a busy street (what street isn't busy in London?) close to a great little park called Brook Green for you to be able to enjoy your food (hint, hint). It's London, so don't expect it to be cheap if you are an American traveler. The exchange rate will kill you unless you are travelling on business like I was. Go with the cod and chips. I didn't find the haddock to be that flavorful, no fault of K&M. The tartar sauce is a must. Get two or three containers and enjoy. The best part? If you have issues trying to figure out the demonstrations of the change in the UK, the cashier will help you. While I eventually figured it out, I thought it was funny to be offered such a basic service with no sarcasm behind it.

Michael E.

Yelp
Pretty good! We had fish, chips, mushy peas, fennel salad, tartare sauce, and their special beer. Would eat here again.

Sally H.

Yelp
I decided to try this place last week, hearing about the best fish and chips in town! My friend and I ordered the "light fish and chips special", which was a good portion of deep fried Coley fish with chips and a side sauce (we chose lemon mayo). It was enough to fill me up, and I tend to have a large appetite! I can appreciate the freshness of the fish; the Coley is a thicker cut of fish so you had about two inches thick of fish for every layer of deep-fried goodness- probably healthier for you, right? The chips were of good quality. I'd say the taste was clean, well-executed. I don't think the flavors were original at all, but meddle with that and you meddle with a lot of expectations! Overall, a good portion of fish and chips served fresh for £6.

Or B.

Yelp
If this is "the best chippy in town" then I guess I'd better just go to Poppie's. First of all, the staff stopped me quite abruptly when I rushed to the loo while entering (It was an urgent call!). While I appreciate the sentiment of not wanting strangers to just come in and piss in your pot, this is more of a restaurant or pub thing in central, and this, with all due respect, is a chippy in Shepard's Bush. A more relaxed attitude would better suit them. To the point: the fish is good, the chips depressingly mediocore. They charge for the first serving of tartare as well, which kind of annoyed me - but their tartare is one of the best I've had. Sadly it can't and shouldn't carry the weight of the drab floury chips.

Justine L.

Yelp
We were visiting London recently and discovered this place via Yelp. Overall, we were really happy with the fish & chips! Delicious, greasy and just what we wanted. A bit pricey, but then we realized EVERYTHING is pricey in London. Glad we stopped by as it's a cute, simple ambiance.

Riya M.

Yelp
I am from America and visited this place as a tourister. The ambience was great, and gave a nice oceany vibe as you entered. The fish and chips were pretty average and were satisfactory for someone that has nevere had them, which was me, but the price seemed a bit high considering that there are trucks outside offering the same British delicacy for half the cost. The overall experience was pretty good, but there were just a little pricey in my opinion.

Kate E.

Yelp
SO SO GOOD! I have driven by this place so many times and always think, I really need to try this out and am so glad I finally did. Kerbisher & Malt is a small chippy right between Shepherds Bush and Hammersmith. The interior is really nice, subway tiles down the walls, bright and very clean. I had the small fish and chips special. A small portion of coley, chips and a sauce for a fiver. First off, this wasnt small, I couldnt finish all the chips. It was so good! Hot, not greasy at all and no bones. Plus it was at least half the price of getting it at a pub. There were about 5 types of fish and a good selection of sauces as well. There were also some non fish choices on the menu. They had bottled beer and various sodas and waters to drink. I am delighted to have found something so close to home when I have a craving and nice to know I can eat in or take away. Will absolutely be back.

Lindsey A.

Yelp
An absolute blessing being walking distance from this great fish and chips place! The manager and cashier were beyond great! The manager was accommodating and very nice. The cod was so flaky and the batter was perfect. Try the gherkin if you like pickles. I'll be coming back for more of them before I leave. Lemon mayo of to die for. Great stop on a trip to London.

Ben W.

Yelp
So I've been resisting going in here because it looked a bit like a place that would try and make fish and chips all posh and ridiculously expensive. That's not what I think fish and chips is all about. Anyway, how wrong my perception was. I just had battered Pollack and chips, the missus had Matzo fried Plaice and chips and the boy had fish nuggets and chips, drinks and extra tartare sauce and the bill came to £20 odd pounds. About a fiver more than I'd expect to pay in a bog standard chippie. Difference being that this was some of the best fish and chips I've eaten. The batter on my pollack was thin crispy and totally exceptional. The fish inside cooked absolutely perfectly. Moist. Unmistakeably fresh fillet too. The plaice was cooked with the same care. I didn't get to try the nuggets because they got wolfed down. Chips were like a good version of normal chip shop chips. Not the ridiculous posh chunks you get in good restaurants. Not the greasy mess you get in the chippie. Just a good quantity of well prepared chips. moreish. Filling. Lovely. We bought some tartare sauce for 30p.It came in a huge pot and was lush home made mayonnaise with chopped gherkin and fresh dill. Delicious. And to think that we pay 10p for that rubbish in sachets at a lot of places. Great stuff. We ate in. Nice surroundings. A little spartan for me to be honest and lacking atmos, but who cares? That was fish and chips as is should be at an excellent fair price. An absolute winner. There is obviously a good culture there. They have literature which talks about getting their stuff from only sustainable sources which is becoming more and more important. I'll be showing my support by eating lots and lots of fish and chips from there from now on. Got to be committed and all that!

Tammy T.

Yelp
Kerbisher & Malt is a very lovely fish and chip shop in Brook Green! It's definitely a little upscale compared to your average chippy shop but I'm not complaining. We ordered our cod and chips for takeaway with a side of curry sauce. Very delicious! I was surprised how amazing the curry sauce was! I'd consider coming back here just for the curry sauce. It was crowded on a Saturday night around 9pm so beware if you plan on coming around peak hours. I'll definitely be back to try the mushy peas. :)

Jenni D.

Yelp
In attempt to get a "bikini friendly" body for summer I've taken to walking the three miles from my office to home every evening. I'm full of self-congratulations and smuggness up until I walk past Kerbisher & Malt. The smell alone makes me want to erase all my good-doing with a healthy dose of fried naughtiness. Believe me, I was doing oh-so-well until one wet and windy Friday night when I couldn't crack it any more. I called my flat mate, ending with the words "I'll meet you there". Inside, it felt like THIS is the way fish and chips should be done. Retro decor, friendly smiley girls behind the counter. A great range of sides and condiments and fast service. One of my favourite elements of this tiny restaurant is that they have a screen of the kitchen, so you can see the chefs at work. Makes the short waiting time fly by! The food, to be honest, was a little disappointing. It could be my common palate, but I couldn't help dismissing the fact that the fish was friendly-farmed, the tartare sauce was homemade and the ginger beer was organic. The chips were a little soggy (lacked that crispy/greasy/guilty element of most fish and chip shop chips) and the fish tasted very average. at £10 a head for a non-alcoholic drink, fish, chips, mushy peas and tarare sauce - it's better value than most fish and chip places any road. What I'd go back for is the sense of community spirit they created in such a small, new place. The waitresses greating old boys and girls like they were family. Leaving us with a "hope to see you again soon!". And I'm sure they will!

Robyn R.

Yelp
Oh my gosh, the fish and chips. GOOD LORD THE FISH AND CHIPS!!!!!!! This is an amazing little place, especially after a few drinks at the near by pub- The Richmond. You'll be hungry after those few drinks, trust me- and Kerbisher and Malt is the only acceptable place to get your grub on while stumbling home at 11 at night :P I always have the fish and chips- the fish is so flavorful, and the chips are so crisp and fluffy. There's no grease, and hardly any bones! Wonderful.

Peter S.

Yelp
Kerbisher & Malt is often held aloft as the standard for fish and chips in London. I'd say it majors more on the fish than the chips. It's a pretty simple format: wander up to the till, choose your food (including a range of different possible fish), pay and wait. The interior is tiled and slightly retro. The service is friendly. The food however was overall slightly below what I was expecting given its reputation. The fish is indeed excellent - quite possibly indeed the best battered fish I've had in London. However, the chips were quite a bit below par in a city that now touts several excellent burger joints alongside established greasy spoons like the Regency Cafe in Westminster. And alas, my first servings of mushy peas tasted burnt. The replacements were much better. So overall, pretty good - particularly the fish. There's room for improvement on the chips though.

Joshua J.

Yelp
Nice spot with good design, great service, and passable fish and chips. My haddock was very soft -- not a characteristic of haddock -- and though the batter was crispy and flavourful, I find it impossible to excuse if the actual fish is bad. I know some people love flaky soft fish, but I am not one of those people. If I ordered haddock and haddock was known as a soft fish then I would blame myself for ordering contrary to my preferences. However, I expected certain common qualities to Haddock and sadly they were lacking. The chips were quite delicious, but so are the chips at my shitty local fish shop so I am not going to give this place a better rating simply because they didn't screw up something that almost no one screws up. I wouldn't go back (I wouldn't dissuade someone too strongly)- but I wouldn't recommend it either.

Marco M.

Yelp
I really liked this Chip shop. You have your choice of 5 different types of fish and a selection of sides. The mushy peas were very good.

Nina R.

Yelp
The fish and chips were amazing! Had a few of the sides and they were also very good. Definitely a great option to fulfill your fish and chips craving while in London.

German P.

Yelp
I was in London for two nights, I wanted to have one of the typical plates and after searching and deciding which restaurant i would go to for fish & chips, I decided to try Kirbirsher & Malt. I was really disappointed with the fish, I ordered and took my food back to the hotel which was about 10 minutes by foot and when I finally unwrapped everything, there was no tartar sauce or any sauce for that, no napkins, the fish was soggy and the chips were just ok. The prices at this place are through the roof, I understand that London is an expensive city, but some of these restaurants need to come back to reality on the prices. I'm pretty sure that the food here is really good, but they dropped the ball this time. I would really love to go back to London, but my next fish & chips will not be from here.

Joe D.

Yelp
Great spot to grab fish and chips.. We were looking for a spot that had a contemporary vibe along with the traditional recipes.. We found it here.

Susan L.

Yelp
The battered fish were all yummy but there were some better than others. I preferred the cod and the coley over the haddock and the pollock. The chips were pretty good too. As for the calamari, it tasted pretty good but it would've be better if it was more crispy. As for the cole slaw, I didn't really like it since it seems a bit under seasoned. As for the sauces, the sweet chili was amazing. The tartare sauce is like any other tartare sauce. The fish definitely deserve 4 stars, but the other stuff should be 3 stars. Overall, definitely worth a try.

Yelp
It's ok. Decent portion but it's not super fantastic as other reviews have said. Slight disappointed.

Yelp
I ordered two portions of chips at the shop but popped out for ten minutes whilst they were prepared. I picked up the order without checking them. When I got home, I opened the boxes and both were half empty. (Could easily get both portions into one of the boxes). This was unusual, as on previous occasions the portions fill the box, as you would expect. I felt cheated, so I bothered to call them. It was a waste of time. The guy was disinterested, blaming chefs who sometimes 'can be more generous'. IMO, it could easily have been rectified by an apology. But they failed. Miserably.

Yelp
I learned of K&M after reading an article about the ten best fish/chip places in London. Glad I did. This place is a ten minute walk from the Shepherd's Bush station, so it doesn't draw many tourists (which is good). Decor is very modern... Loved the subway tile walls. Staff: very friendly and welcoming. Food: oh.em.gee. I ordered the batter fried coley with chips. Not only the portions were generous, but they were beautifully fried to crispy, golden perfection. The fish was tender, flaky and so fresh....the fries were crunchy and elegant. My stomach was stuffed and joyous. This New Yorker is a fan.
