Sarah was amazing at her job. She put up with my sassy attitude and provided a fun environment while we ordered food. She even checked to see if we could order breakfast after 1100. Give her a promotion.

Close to UT campus, visited on a sunday at around 11 when they stopped serving breakfast. I wasn't able to ordered since breakfast was my only vegetarian option. My niece on the other hand enjoyed her 2 sandwiches.

Christina provided outstanding customer service at Whataburger, handling a busy shift with efficiency and a great attitude. She was incredibly friendly, speaking to everyone with patience and kindness while ensuring every order was correct and timely. Despite the rush, she made every customer feel valued and kept the energy positive—definitely one of the best experiences we’ve had!

First time and I was not impressed. I made sure to order a Basic cheese burger and Fries order to compare to other burger joints. Maybe it was an off day at this location, but I had really high hopes as my friends who grew up eating. Whataburger told me it was the best. Maybe I’ll give it another try.

Worst whataburger location i’ve ever eaten at in Texas. I did the drive thru and ordered a triple meat. It took the order 10 minutes to be ready and then when I got my burger it was super dry and cold. It was terrible it tasted like dog food. Incredibly bad. Avoid this location.

Burger was falling apart. Chips (fries) were a tad cool and kind of short. They were about to give me the wrong order. These are the reasons for a Four-Star Rating. Other than that, it was a good experience. Went through the drive-thru. Friendly and cheerful employee. She confessed that she was going to give me the wrong order because she didn't read the name at first. Other than that, I have no qualms about this location and would return in the future.

Normally this place is too busy for much of an atmosphere, but my food is almost always right. But the giant pothole in the entrance to the Drive Thru is absolutely abysmal. If you have a sports car, or thin tires, do NOT go through the drive thru, you *will* damage your wheel, bottom out, or both. Proceed with extreme caution. This has been an issue for months, and doesn't seem to be getting any better. Otherwise? I enjoy having a Whataburger so close to home.

Truthfully the low rating would be the food. I never had whataburger, it was like a McDonald's. You see it everywhere. The service is a higher rating because they were very friendly and polite. Unfortunately I have never done this but I didn't finish the burger and fries and threw it out. It tastes like a Burger King whopper but a bit saltier. I felt bad because it was a waste but I didn't like it at all. P. Terry is a better option if you can find one near you.

As someone who worked in a fast paced food service environment I really like giving places the benefit of the doubt but... A few months ago my friends took me (the non-Texan) to try Whataburger and we went through the drive thru. I actually liked the spicy chicken sandwich but the shake was not anything to write home about. What was crazy to me was how damn long that drive thru took.. the carbon emissions have got to be INSANE. It should not take over 20 minutes for three cars! Tonight, in the midst of a 2am wave hunger while studying, my roommate and I ordered Uber Eats from this Whataburger as it was the only place still open. The only things we got that didn't come screwed up were our sides - my pre-packaged apples and her fries. Our soda orders were correct; however, they tasted absolutely terrible. Not sure if the carbonation machine was broken or what was going on but my roommate couldn't even drink her Dr. Pepper because it tasted that bad. Both sodas were extremely watered down or something funky. My Sprite wasn't really Spriting the way Sprite is supposed to Sprite but it was at least bearable. The actual main meals we ordered... both wrong. Her order had lettuce on it which, normally, I would see as an honest mistake but with the lack of quality control on every other aspect of the order - it's getting mentioned here. My main meal could not have been more wrong. I ordered spicy chicken and got just two patties and some cheese on bread. I don't eat burgers but it's not like they could fix a delivered sandwich from an Uber Eats order or whatever so I had to power through. I wasn't even graced with some tomatoes or something. Just patties and cheese. Literally what do they do in there? Unless it's the only place open, you're better off spending your $12+ at P Terry's on MLK. They have better service and better food.

A simple order turned out to be a nightmare. I placed it through Uber eats and ordered a vanilla shake but they delivered a strawberry. I called back to let them know that the order was mixed up in case someone ordered a strawberry and they switched them and the woman on the phone asked me if I was really calling to complain about shakes. I was pretty taken aback because the gall to say that as someone is calling to let you know that you messed up an order is crazy. I told her yeah but clearly you're not the one to talk to so I would be coming soon to talk to the manager. When I walked in I brought my bag that had my receipt and the strawberry shake and when I told the woman at the front to speak to a manager she asked me if I was the one that called about the shake. I told her that I didn't want to talk to her and just get the manager. When the manager came up and I explained to her how incredibly rude the woman was she offered to fix the mistake which is totally okay. I wasn't going to cause a problem or a scene. I wanted to let them know that someone else may have the wrong order and that I just wanted the correct one. totally unbelievable

This place is one reason people around the World have heard of Whataburger. Students, professors, staff of the University of Texas routinely satisfy that burger urge here. I was in-between breakfast and lunch. My usual go to at breakfast is the unbeatable " Bob" or breakfast on a bun. It's a bun sized sausage patty, egg, slice of American cheese on a toasted bun. But smaller. So I went with what I assumed was the larger patty melt to hold me till dinner. Excellent choice of meat, and cheese gooeyness sandwiched between two slices of Texas Toast. Nice!

Worst location I've been been to. Awful customer service. This place always takes way to long even though it's not packed and they aren't understaffed. I ALWAYS have problems at this location. They're better off closing the location and selling it for money.

Sometimes it is all about the service. Ordered curbside pick up. Online app said order would be out in 5 minutes. 15 minutes later order finally came and it was not hot, but warm like it had been sitting there while the workers inside played rocks scissors paper for who would have to go out into the 105 degree heat and deliver my order. The fries were hard and dry like they had been sitting under the heat lamp for a while. Next time I'm just picking it up inside.

I placed a order yesterday online April 3rd, 2024. My order was Kion Kindle (online order) messed up and my meat was cold. I was upset with the service. I'm here again tonight April 4th, 2024 at 02:18. I place my order at 02:03 on the Kiosk. I am wait too long and there are people in bobble complaining about their burger being mess up, and they are not listening to the customer to adjust their mistakes made on their burger.

Waited at the drive thru 15 min and when I got to the window to pay They said they don't accept Apple because they can't touch my phone. only if I have my card in hand. I only had 30 min of lunch break I didn't have my card with me. So I had to park my car and then go inside to pay my food and it was already cold. All of that just because they don't let you pay with Apple Pay at the window !!! Got late to work and didn't eat.

On July 2, 2024 came in to get food at 5:00am and manager on duty was very rude and not willing to take a order. Not to mention that a homeless man walked in asking if he could get a cup of water but manager instated that they don't do that. I find that to be not too funny because of heat index and the man looked dehydrated goes to show that the manager needs to be fired from there.

I truly hope we just caught this place at a bad day, but this was an impressively bad experience. It took 40 minutes to get our food, which was borderline inedible. The staff were quite rude, which would have honestly been fine if the food were remotely good, but we were blown away with how bad the burgers were. Dry, flavorless, and burnt to a crisp. Definitely would recommend avoiding.

Whatsburger was okay. Burger was a little dry and not as flavorful as i would have liked. Reminded me of mcdonalds a bit but less salty. Service was good. Better menu options than in n out but burger is just not as good. I wouldn't care to come back here. I prefer p terrys or in n outs burgers! Juicier and more flavorful.

The service provided by Jamone G was excellent. He made the entire experience 5 stars. The service was personalized and to the level of a high end steakhouse. The food was great as always with Whataburger. Also the restaurant was spotless. 5 stars all around

Inattentive staff. We came in and nobody took our order for 5 min even though they saw us. It is common courtesy to acknowledge someone even if you are busy. When asked if we could order, one of the employees was leaving and cussed at us. He asked if "we had a problem". We did not fight with him but this is disrespectful and uncalled for. We finally got to order lemonade. Very poor experience.

I gotta be very honest, it really breaks my heart to have to write this review because this used to be my hangout spot after every home UT football and basketball game but it has changed. Went there just now with the love of my life for a date night for the UT exhibition game against St. Ed's to bring back happy memories for us. The experience here was anything but. Staff was very rude, kept giving us the run around on our food. Was getting attitude and dirty looks from the staff. Made my girlfriend very uncomfortable and was not helpful in getting me my refund. I don't know the names of the two ladies who were working register but I wish I got their names so that they can be held accountable. Very disgraceful and unacceptable. I now have to say goodbye to one of my old hangout spots in town and my location in San Marcos is much better than this location but it's becoming crap like the rest of Austin. There are better locations for whataburger and this location is now not one of them. I will never come back here and neither should anybody else

Open; thirsty customers beware. Despite what the page says, this location is not currently "temporarily closed." It is open for indoor dining and drive through. On my way to work this morning, I was overwhelmed by a powerful thirst, and so I pulled into the drive thru and ordered a large lemonade and a large water. See the photo of what I was given. Not only is the water not a large, I was charged $1.69 for it, and they rang it up as a kid's coke. I can understand charging me for the cost of the cup, but $1.69 for tap water! Not cool. The lemonade is minute maid lite, which is ok but not amazing. I regret not going slightly more out of my way for a fresh squeezed lemonade from Chick-fil-A or PTerry's.

Busy Saturday night at 2:30 AM during SXSW... Rose continued to hold grace with exceptional service. She had firm boundaries through hungry, drunk college students demanding her attention. Thank you Rose for your time and patience! My meal was delivered with care.

Going to Whataburger while visiting Austin has become a bit of a tradition for me. It's not because I don't have access to to a Whataburger where I live - in fact there is one within a 5 minute walk from me as I type this and I think I've only been there once in the last 10 years but because it's familiar, comforting, and I know what I'm getting- above average burger at a good price and a huge refreshing iced tea that brings back my energy (especially in the summer) and gives me the caffeine I need to hit my next spot and keep me awake for the drive back. It's weird because a lot of other people who visit Austin tend to go for exciting new places or a food truck with the local flavor, but personally if I'm driving all day, I don't want any surprises or grumblings in my stomach when I'm going through Elinger in the middle of the night. So as such, even though I was recommended another place by a local, I really wanted to sit down and eat and have access to facilities so I saw this Whataburger was close by and went there instead. I was greeted by a very pleasant employee who took my order, the food was hot and fresh, I was the only one in the entire lobby eating so it felt safe from COVID, and overall it was a great experience. This is really close to the UT campus so of course they have a lot of UT stuff on the walls which was even charming to a bitter Coog who's still kind of bitter about that whole Tom Herman incident. Fortunately, they have free refills so I washed the bitterness away with some iced tea.

What's a digital kitchen? Went through the drive thru to be asked our name then to come to the window...then we got ignored. Never got the chance to order anything. Stupid.

Well that was a little over the top.... Never had the police called on me before for requesting a refund once a business has charged me for items that it does not have in stock. Usually doesn't warrant intense out the drive thru window screaming either. Corporate customer relations took my issue very seriously and will be reaching out to this unstable, to say the least, manager. God bless!

This whataburger deals with a lot traffic 24/7, which I understand. A Whata on a college campus? Yeah it's bound to be mayhem. This whataburger has served and dealt with the drunk 20 year olds for many moons now and they still crank out some good food. I'm gonna give it to them, however that bathroom. Oh man you walk in there and you're hit regret. The mirror is foggy?the musty scent hits you like a truck, and you aren't really sure if you should touch anything. It's not the cleanest room you'll walk into. If you're desperate then good luck soldier. Nevertheless it needs some work, I'm sure it's seen countless nightmares but a bathroom is a bathroom.

So it has been said that "Whataburger" is "In & outs" competition. So I had to try it. I ordered the double with cheese. It's was pretty good, like a nicely made home burger. I also tried their patty melt, and let me tell you. It was fire. Their French fries pretty darn good, better then In & out for sure. Over all I would still take In & out's burger over their competitors.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I was wanting a medium chocolate shake and they handed me large vanilla shake, when I approached the counter for a refund they refused and claimed there just "wasn't enough chocolate for me" I responded "no there's no chocolate" and they came back with a half full cup of chocolate sauce, high viscosity sauce not quite syrup. AWFUL EXPERIENCE I WILL NEVER BE BACK. They targeted me for being white and they were trying to make me feel like an idiot for paying for my order and then wanting what I ordered AWFUL! They will do anything to stop customers from getting their way. It was dirty and unsafe in the area and even worse inside the store. Terrible place to eat go anywhere else

Took almost 30 minutes for me to get my order and I was in the drive thru. But can't complain too much because they gave me an extra fry and sandwich. The cashiers tend to be really nice too

WHATABURGER IS EVERYTHING! WHATABURGER IS MY LIFE!! If I could I would eat Whataburger every single day of my life! I adore this chain so much that I even own a shirt. Here's a little trick to know if you've never been and it's not on the menu. But, if you ask, they will toast your buns. That's right! Warm and toasty buns. One you go toasted, you'll never go back. It's a life changer.

They took almost half an hour to give us our food and it was because of some stupid fries and my sister is late for work now

Located in West Campus, this Whataburger is a convenient spot for UT students. Probably why there's always a wait. I've been to this location during different times of my early college years. However, I found a better Whataburger (62 & Lamar) location and haven't visited since. This is about my most recent one was on a weekend at 4 am, and there was still a line. I usually like the one on 62nd and Lamar, but I didn't want to drive that far so I decided to get my mobile order at this location. WRONG DECISION! While they did get my order right, everything else fell FLAT. My patty melt was dry and salty, plus the cheese wasn't completely melted. My honey butter chicken biscuit (hbcb) had an overtly crispy chicken and not enough honey. Surprisingly, it was still hot when I got home. No napkins in sight either. It was disappointing, but I learned a lesson to never visit again.

Jank A$$ security guard harassing people trying to order. Making bs excuses holding people at the door late asf had to wait an extra 20 mins because of this asshole.

I ordered food but they said I had to pay for a water cup. Never had them make me pay for it.

just don't go when it's PACKED on a friday night/saturday morning (12-3AM), that's when all the partygoers flock there to sober up. the employees are generally quite helpful and the food is fine as long as you go during a normal time

We tried Texas's so called Hamburger and Fries! Yum, tried a small burger with fries! Loved their fries! Loved their cute little ketchup cups! I think I had fun here in Texas trying their food! They are opened 24/7, lots of people dressed up in the middle of the night.

Drive thru service is ridiculously slow. Been sitting here for 40 minutes and still haven't had our order taken. Ended up missing the breakfast cutoff because they take 15 minutes per car to even take their order.

Horrible experience. There was no introduction when pulling up to order through drive thru. The girl was so rude and very short! She (the manager) sounded like she hates her job and didn't want to come into work today. The location probably would have been better off with not having her than her attitude and lack of customer service. The line also took forever And I'm sure pretty sure it's because of the girl that took our order. I will never return back to this location and I really hope that the management here does something about her rudeness.

It's an unfortunate consequence of being the only 24hr fast food place right beside a college campus - this place is 1 star if you're coming anytime after midnight. It was approximately a 40-50 minute wait for two HBCBs and old, over-salted fries. But I'm currently here at 6pm on a Saturday, and the workers are very friendly, the food is average, how I expected, and the fries are still not super fresh, but they're perfectly salted. In terms of Whataburgers, this is a below average one, but the prime location keeps the students coming.

This is the most disgusting and sad whatabuger ive ever had. The last 4 times ive gone the patty melt tastes nothing like the patty melt at any other location. the cheese is hard and not close to melted. its like they just pull cheese out of the fridge and throw it on a cold patty and rub the sauce and toss some onions on. so disgusting and all of my friends agree. im trying to help everyone out by saying do not go here. not real whatabuger disgusting quality. if you like cold patty melts than this location is for you.

Terrible service. The workers do not acknowledge you when you walk in or let you know that you need to order online during late hours. How do you not have people working the cash register?

Doesn't look like much when you walk past, but I was practically dying of hunger so I popped in. The definition of hole in the wall. Placed my order got home wasn't quite right so I called em. Josie was so helpful in assuring me that they would fix the problem. Came back the next day and wow was I amazed crips bun, juicy patty and all the essentials not much else to say besides go see for yourself, you won't be disappointed Josie is the bomb

Most fast food restaurants are bad but this is different. I placed an online order for drive trough and the person talked about how nasty and gross my food was as I picked it up. Not to mention they're extremely rude overall... without saying a word they slammed the window in my face and practically through the food in my car. This isn't the first time this location has given me horrible service but it's the first time I've had to pay for my food and throw it away out of fear of them spitting in it. Please go somewhere else.

I assume they forgot to melt the cheese on a bacon cheeseburger combo because the burger was cold as the ice in the drink I had. Just a awful experience.

This place wasn't that good, in my opinion at least. We ordered some burgers but it was still pretty darn cold and the fries too.... We heard somewhere this was one of KDs top burger joints to go which is why we tried it but I guess he doesn't really have a tongue lol. The burgers are like a regular burger but full of mustard so its kind of sour. Felt kind of weird in there too as you can see some homeless people eat there and chill inside there which gave us a pretty weird vibe, lol.

I Went to pick up my food at 1030pm and the dinning area was closed prematurely. I knocked on the door and the staff ignored me. I then went to the drive through window to ask for my food and they told me I could not pick up my order without being in a vehicle. The window attendant told me to "go rent a scooter or something". I have not been to whataburger since this day (10/30/21) because I still have not received a refund for the food I did not receive. Absolutely the worst experience in the restaurant industry I have ever witnessed. Also terrible customer support because I still have not got a refund for food that was never received. Whataburger STOLE my hard earned money.

I love this place - super friendly service, and what I have ordered has been delish! Try the WHATACATCH! They make it FRESH, so you might wait a bit for it to come out. Love their onion rings as well. Show this spot some love!

This Whataburger SUCKS! The online app is fine but the staff between 1pm and 3PM SUCK at there jobs if the lady with the blonde hair working the drive thur is there avoid that crew order is always 15 20 mins late after my online ordering why order online if its gonna be an extra 15 mins DAMN! The guy gives my order to a sitting customer the customer opens up my order picks the patty melt up eats some of my fries when the guy discovers that was not the seated customer order he go over retrieve the order and trys to give it to me. Im looking in total disbelief. I say i want another order he tells me he didnt touch it. Instead of saying all the shit i could have said i just took the order and left the store and gave it to a homeless person. Im a black man so in this case the customer me was WRONG. Fuck this place.

I want to give this place a zero but that's not possible so I'm giving it one star. went through the drive-thru and when I got home realized I was missing an item. went back and explained situation but did not bring back and was told by Ruth the manager with purple hair that she needed the bag. drive back home to get the bag and was in line for twenty minutes to give it to her and offered to show her proof of me opening the bag at home. Ruth proceeded to scream in my face that she was not going to help me and to leave the drive thru followed by her slamming the window in my face while I was speaking. Ruth needs to be stopped. Check the cameras.

As this is my first time visiting Austin, it was mandatory for me to try Whataburger!! When we pulled up, it looks a lot like any other fast food restaurant, and when you walk in, it's very similar to a normal fast food restaurant. At this point I'm a skeptic but since I'm already here, I had to give it a fair try. So I ordered the regular hamburger with everything on it, and a bacon avocado sandwich. Afterwards, they gave me a HUGE cup for my drink. Side note: I've completely cut sweet sugary soda out of my diet, so when I went to the dispenser, there were the normal sweet sodas and sweet tea. Ugh. I mentioned this to my friend (which I guess the staff must have overheard) and within a few minutes, they brought out the unsweetened tea!!! Something that I noticed was the employees came around with a tray of ketchup to each table. As for the food itself, the fries were a lot too salty for my tastes, but the hamburger wasn't bad. I actually finished my first sandwich within a few minutes and then I moved on to my bacon avocado sandwich, which was actually VERY GOOD! Overall, the food was better than I had expected. The ambiance is definitely that of a fast food restaurant for sure (which originally set the lower expectation on my part). However, I'd come here again and I would pick Whataburger over some of the other well known fast food restaurant chains.

Slow AF. 30 min for a cup of coffee? And it's filthy dirty with trash all over the floor and tables. Sticky floors from the drinks that were spilt on the floor. Rude employees. I just quit going to this location.

The honey BBQ chicken strip sandwich is a great option that packs a lot of flavor. The food here has been great so far. The location is in walking distance from many West Campus locations.

They take two fucking long to give you your food and they gave me the rang food 2 fucking taims.
