I had completely forgotten how quaint and intimate the Whataburger restaurant restaurant really was. And it's not a bad thing. There's no rush to eat your food and leave. There's no pressure from the staff to make you leave or order more food to make you stay. The hospitality of this restaurant was beyond 5 stars. The kindness of the staff made me feel like I was wanted there, and not just for my money. They actually cared that I was there. The cleanliness was astounding. The food?? Oh my. It was so fresh that the cheese was still melting on my burger and the burger itself was still hot when I finished it. The fries were perfect- crisp, warm, delicious like a french fry should be. This particular Whataburger is in the other side of town for me, but I'll drive there for the food. It's worth it.

Waited for 20 minutes in the drive through at 1 am to get our food, fries were cold (didn't complain) and 1 of our meals was wrong. Went back to have it remade, the drive through attendant was not friendly the second time and we had to wait !nother 20 minutes for a burger THAT WAS INCORRECT AGAIN. At that point I just left, definitely not going back to this specific location!

(Figure out who was on staff) I live a block away from the place and I stop here frequently, your drive thru window guy wasn’t polite at all, seemed bothered, didn’t seem to care. Knew from there something would be wrong with my order. And here’s the onion rings, they look old and look like they were tossed in the fryer a second time, dripping in oil.

I won’t lie. I love Whataburger, but the atmosphere the store itself it all just looks Dingy outdated and gross. When I say gross, it literally looks like it hasn’t been kept up with maintaining sanitary environment sorry not sorry. I always wanna give this location, the benefit of the doubt but now no. I have recently gotten Whataburger a few times and every single time I get some form of food poisoning. It is not funny. I’m not surprised, barely keeping up with the health code isn’t a thing for that location. The staff is great, quick and efficient, It’s just something with the food and how it’s being handled or made that makes me absolutely so sick. I got Whataburger yesterday I’m pretty soon after that I Immediately started having rapid shakes and feeling like I was about to pass out. The only thing that made me feel better was throwing up. After getting it out of my system, I was great and that was the only thing I had eaten that day. After that whole experience, sad to say that I will not be eating at Whataburger again, nor suggesting it to loved ones closest to me. Please do better maybe close the store for a day and do a deep clean. Thank you!

Horrible service slow waited my wife waited in line drive thru on 10/17 for 50 mins for cold burgers and fries half way full and cold drink wrong . Jason was understanding said we get a redone meal , we went in and was only give burger . Im sorry my wife didn't wait in line that one night for only burger for 50mins and all be wrong. Jr the MOD at first didnt want to let when or how to each store manger (Samantha) which was supposed to give me a call and did not . But only asking for corporate number was given information . As much as I prefer Whataburger over most fast food chains. Nothing really stood out about my meal. Other than the fries weren't hot they were warm. I love the spicy ketchup and that wasn't really spicy like I have had in the past. A little above mediocre is really all I can say. We had the number 1 add cheese along with the $5 meal added cheese. It's nice to sit inside and have your food brought out to you. I can't remember the last time I had my food brought to me that wasn't a sit down restaurant. Now they just call a number and you have to go up and get your meal. That was nice. This location was busy. Our wait time was less than 10 minutes.

I placed a pick up order and 1 of the 5 burgers was missing. The Sprite sodas tasted like carbonated water. The Honest Juices that I ordered with my children’s kids combos were both missing their straws. This is not the first time that I have had a burger missing. Such a bad experience for the premium price they charge.

I came to the drive thru for a cinnamon roll, which was fantastic. But I was more impressed with the woman name Lisa working the drive thru. She was smiling and cheerful and even told me my dogs are cute. She totally won me over.

We ordered a couple of the Whataburger number two onion rings, one shake and one Dr Pepper through the drive-through when we got down the road the onion rings were very greasy and soggy. Tasted like used oil. Disgusting hamburger had rotten lettuce in it soggy tomato. Looks like you've been sitting around for quite when talking to their manager, Samuel Torres he was and very inappropriate for the supposedly holds not sure what the Old Vail Rd., Whataburger is but the Valencia one by is a better store to go to. I give them a very poor rating.

This whataburger is on my work route so I get it out of convenience I always have this problem that ruins my meal . There soda machine is never calibrated always just soda water . I've asked for a new one at the drive though window just to get water . Please fix your machine or train all the staff to switch the syrup please .

Came here around 9 AM for breakfast. I had a #21 Sausage BOB Meal with hash browns and a small drink. Wife had a Bacon and Cheese Taquito. Wife had been given a Sausage and Cheese Taquito at first but the nice shift manager was walking around asking us how everything was so we told him and they replaced the item with the correct one. I do love these classic and iconic Americana type places that have stood the test of time so I only knocked them down a star for the wrong order but everything else was great - atmosphere, prices, staff. I will return to a Whataburger whenever I see one and need a quick bite. Please expand to the Pacific NW area.

Terrible service. So slow with ordering and the food. There was an employee sitting outside, didn't say anything when we drove up but he was taking orders also. Waited in drive through for 1/2 hour and still had to park by the trash can and wait for our food. The employee just handed the food to me and did not say thank you or apologize for the long wait.

Customer service is terrible at this location. My order was rung up wrong and when I got my breakfast item I told them. Karina (idk if thats how she spells it) got up from sitting at a table eating to come question me about the problem. She kept telling me to show her my receipt. I told her I got the item for free with my app, then she kept questioning how. She reprinted a receipt and showed me I ordered the BOB and I told her I specifically asked for the Breakfast burger and the cashier Lexi even told her that I did. Lexi I believe was training and she rung up the wrong item which I understood, but I just wanted it fixed. Karina then kept arguing with me and then took Lexi around to the back to talk to her being very secretive in front of me. Some other guy there proceeded to tell me that the free breakfast item did not include the breakfast burger even though it had no exclusions on the coupon. At this point I was done arguing. I was so embarrassed at the way I was treated by Karina. She should definitely not be working here. It was so bad I even made a call to corporate about her.

This Whataburger has gone down hill over the past 10 years. I use to love whataburger hamburgers as they were the best but those days are gone. There is either no staff at this location or a large staff that is incompetent at best. The managers usually are friendly with kind service, but look like they are hurding cats when it comes to staff. I guess this is the new world we live in and what we get for a high minimum wage!

The previous operator of this location ran a tight ship, and the food was excellent. The new operator has no clue how to run it. The young guy that took my order apparently couldn't understand English. I ordered two cheeseburgers and an order of fries to go, was given only one burger. Waited for the other burger to be prepared while the order he gave me got cold. Finally got the second burger. Got home, and one of the burgers didn't have cheese, which I ordered and paid for. What stupidity. I won't be back.

I was famished and craving a chicken sandwich. Walked into this chain for the first time, and I was DELIGHTED to see a chicken sandwich on their menu. Took my first bite and learned that dry chicken sandwiches are possible. The chicken was dry, and there wasn't much in the burger besides a few slices of tomato. My mouth was so parched I can't recall how much water I needed to finish this burger. As it is now, I would rather save my money for a proper chicken sandwich from... a number of stores.

Well, I tried. After giving them a two star review a year ago because orders were ALWAYS wrong, I stopped by tonight to get a large chocolate shake. I had just enough money left on my Whataburger "rewards" card. I ordered in the drive-through and when I got to the window, they couldn't help me because their scanner they use for the app was broken. Whataburger corporate needs to put everyone out of their misery and SHUT.THIS.LOCATION.DOWN.

We used to love going to this Whataburger. Everything came out made to order, fresh and delicious. It was the best fast food burger in town. Not anymore. Today we ordered a Whataburger with cheese, a patty melt and two orders of fries. The burger and patty melt were cold. The burger had no cheese. And the fries were ice cold with no salt on them. It was all way too expensive for that horrible food. We'll stick with the Sonic on Thornydale from now on.

Today august 26 i waned to buy burger and this was my second time there . Service is absolutely awful i was waiting in the drive thru for 20 minutes, i have asked the young girl what happened and her response was we have had a spill and there priority was to clean the spill. If this was the case there responsibility is to letting customers know. They should give customers some compensation for waiting such a long time. I will never ever go there for a burger.

Drive thru guy was rude and rushing us.... we were missing a burger they did not believed us so we had to send all our eve bitten food so they check... employee girl was not having a good day at all. Food got cold and did not taste good... very disappointed it's been over 20 years i had not tasted their burgers, i was looking forward and it was not good at all! They need better customer service training. Definitely we stay with in & out. We i live in Downey Ca & Rancho Cucamonga Ca.

Having spent many weeks in Texas for work over the years I love Whataburger. I would always make sure to eat at least one meal there while in TX. When I saw this one here in Tucson I was happy. Well the last 2 times I've been here, I've left disappointed. Both times my burger patty was lukewarm at best. This time it wasn't even hot enough to melt the cheese. I mean come on Whataburger you're better then this.

I like Whataburger food but don't get it very often. I don't have any complaints about the taste or quality of the food, but they're 0 and 2 for order accuracy. Twice in a row I have ordered a Whataburger Jr. and have been given (and charged for) a full-size Whataburger. Last visit here, there were two young ladies at the register. They seemed kind of clueless about how to redeem rewards on the app. The app is a bit clunky to use as well. The guy who delivered our food was very nice, but I went to the bathroom and the two female employees were chatting in there and being really crude. Service is a bit of a miss, but the food is good.

This used to be a top-notch restaurant. Now it's garbage I went to pick up a Phone in order through the app and already pre-paid and the girl threw the bag at me and I went outside and we got halfway home and found out the sandwiches were in there, I paid 1299 for a bag of air and two bottles two things of water. Called the manager he didn't seem to give a darn didn't even apologize just told me I could call through the app and get my refund. Not satisfied I tried to call the phone number in the app to get my refund And was on the phone for two hours. Going to go to my credit card and get a charge back. Let them pay the fees I recommend you to go elsewhere. I don't do any phone in or orders on the app through this restaurant. Food is in consistent. I was only in a hurry because my disabled husband likes Whataburger once in a while. Never mind we go elsewhere.

Customer service beyond belief. I have never been inside of this Whataburger before however their drive through service is amazing! A friendly welcome as soon as you pull to the order board. If you are unsure of what you want just let them know you need a little more time. Once at the window.you are greated with a smile and a pleasant how are you. The food has always been hot and cooked to order. If you want a great fast food experience this whataburger sets a new standard and sets it high!

Good burgers (Texas style) and relatively inexpensive breakfast dishes compared to McD's. The cleanliness is hit and miss and customer service can be very lacking and rude. Register employee sweeping the floor near the entry door doesn't acknowledge guests as they come in and leaves them unattended at the front counter until she is done with her sweeping job. Other times no employee at the counter and rest of staff ignore guests who are waiting at the counter. This trip shift manager finishes cleaning tables then comes behind counter and starts asking what I want while her back is turn towards me as she restocks condiment tray. Then she comes to register and takes my order just to discover there's no money in the register. Had to wait for her to get a cash drawer. Food delivery can be very slow. Took 16 minutes to get my Biscuits and Gravy, and the hashbrowns were cold. They did give me a apple pie because of the wait, but would have preferred my food quick and hot. The Shift Manager who brought my food out copped an attitude when I asked for 1 salt and 3 peppers, as she did not bring out the condiments try she was so busy refilling while I waited to order. She did bring out the extra peppers for me after having to return behind the counter for them. While trying to enjoy my late food and cold hashbrowns I could hear an employee's phone music or video playing from clear across the restaurant and over the sounds of other table conversations and the noise from the kitchen. I understand employees need a place to take a break, but it should never interfere with the guests experience. That's what ear pods are for. But evidently management doesn't care. I would love to hear back from the Store Owner or General Manager, but doubt I ever will as they seem not to care about the very basics nor quest satisfaction.

Thie Whataburger at River Rd and La Canada in Tucson Az is really awful. Picked up breakfast to take home and not only did it look like crap the one bite I tried tasted like it. On top of that they got the order wrong. The minimum wage goes up and the quality of the employees goes down. There is no pride in their work resulting in crap for quality. I will never purchase from any Whataburger again. I am including a photo from my order. Look at the receipt and then look at the crap in the bowl. It was supposed to be a bacon breakfast bowl.

Never again Whataburger! To be honest, their burgers are pretty good for a fast-food restaurant -- but they are horrible with getting orders correct!! This is now my 5th consecutive order wrong in 2 months !!! Even the simplest request like "no mayo" will always fail it seems. I even said when ordering "no mustard or mayo please" and she said "ok" and I said again "please ensure there is no mustard or mayo on the burger" and she said "ok".... I pull up to the window and asked again "no mustard or mayo, right?" And she says again "yes". Guess what -- COVERED IN MUSTARD AND MAYO. Bye forever Whataburger -- your employees at this location are the worst! Go back and learn from the Whataburgers in Texas -- they have their shit together.

Terrible as usual. I didn't learn my lesson the last 99 times. Today's wrong order started with giving me 3 burger kids meals Instead of chicken strips with gravy. I turned them back in to just get the strips added but no dipping sauce. I then got 4 regular drinks instead of the upgrade XL and 4 regular fries instead of the large ones as requested. All came with hot sweet tea, no ice. Then it ended with the gravy being PURE water with NO flavor. I also Got changed for all the upgrades and extra gravy but received none of that!

First and last time. Got our order completely wrong twice! We ordered green chile burger with onion rings. They tried to give us a blue cheese bacon burger with fries. My husband gave them the correct order, and they got it wrong again! I'm from Texas, and this is a disgrace to Texas! They don't have 2 brain cells to rub together there!

Don't eat here. The patty is super dry. There's no flavor whatsoever. The employees took 25 minutes to get two cars thru the drive thru. And they seemed over it. So then quit. The restaurant is usually always dirty and the toilets are almost always clogged.

Why do I do this to myself? I already know that this Whataburger will hurt me. I keep coming back because it is the only one even remotely close to me (still a 25 minute drive). This place takes an eternity to get through the drive-thru (they are actually faster inside the restaurant), the orders are frequently incorrect, the food is often burned or old, the buns are stale, and the staff don't give a shit. So, why do I ever return? Because every so often (maybe every 5th trip?), the food is actually prepared really well and it tastes like how it did when I lived in Texas. I would normally give this place one star for all the crap I've taken, but, because it is amazing once in a while, I'll give it 2 stars.

With all the burger options in town I don't often go to a Whataburger. But when I am looking for something close by this fast food restaurant can deliver a decent burger. The lady at the window was pleasant and my order came out correct. Service was quick as expected. I have been told that the burgers here were "eww", and "I lost my appetite". Valid complaints and dually noted. However, at the end of the day, I got a burger. The burger was delivered and it was what I expected. The fries were below average and not very crispy but I came for a burger. And a a decent burger is what I got. I wouldn't mind seeing a nacho option put on the menu. Also, the grilled onions were pretty good.

I have gotten my order mixed up three times in a row now. The first two times i figured it was because I went through the drive-through window. To lessen the risk of a error in ordering, I went inside to place my order. I double checked that the cashier placed the correct order and even looked over my receipt when my order was ready. Still messed up. I called and they're super apologetic and blamed the blameless cashier. I will not go here again, which is a shame because I've not had this experience with any other location.

Pass on this location. I had fond memories of Whataburger in Texas and this wasn't it. The food was fine, but the customer service sucked. I'm from an area that doesn't have Whataburger, but again: fond memories from Texas and so I figured it was a viable option for lunch. It wasn't. The employees were slow, didn't want to explain anything to this Whataburger novice. They rushed me through and... Now I'm not so sure about Whataburger. Whataburger is notoriously overpriced, but with adequate customer service it's worth it. With terrible customer service, it's definitely not.

This isn't about the employees. They were great. This is about 3 tiny chicken strips(a la carte) that cost me $4.33. Each strip was barely three inches long. The width of the box is five inches long. If each strip were 5" long each, then that would have been ok. But 3"? ... And to pay over $4 for that? ... NO ! Never again.

We were on the way to one restaurant when we heard that this place was in Tucson, and immediately we did a detour. This doesn't exist where we're living (TN) so we definitely did that quick detour to this place. So what did I have? I actually gorged a little and ordered two burgers...and yes I did finish both of them. So what were the burgers? 1. Sweet & Spicy Bacon Burger 2. Bacon & Cheese Whataburger And what did I think? Those toasted 5 inch buns are no joke. They will fill you up quick! So, I actually just ate, and just kept eating. This burger was definitely interesting just because of the size, you really need two hands to hold it to eat it. Well done, I'm just sad that we don't have it here. I think it's definitely something I will eat if I ever see another one. All fast food burgers just can't compare now. (Minus In N Out, they have a special place in my heart)

Just today 1-19-21 with order #138571 we ordered a DBL with cheese and jalapeños and a 3 PC chicken tenders and we've been coming here for decades or shortly after it opened and goodness if the food is gonna be this yuk and cold just stop selling it. The burger was ice cold and the buns had the stiffness of days old bread and the fries with the chicken tenders went straight to the trash. Come on guys you've always done much better than this

Let me just say I ordered in a hurry and wasn't even sure what to get. I remember this place from my childhood but haven't really had it much as an adult. My first impression pulling the burger from the bag was how heavy and thick it was for a single patty burger. I got the bacon cheeseburger. I have never had a burger look more like it was made for a TV ad. Picture perfect. Juicy. Delicious. Wonderful toppings. The bacon and lettuce are crispy. The tomatoes red and juicy and 3 slices! The service was fast and friendly. I will definitely be returning.

They need less socializing more focus on what the customer ask. There was only one car ahead of me but I had to turn the engine off for waiting so long. This was last night about 7:00 PM. Something is going on for the wait is so long. The patty was lukewarm. We had asked our meat be medium rare and the reply was that it was not a restaurant for that request. Other burger places do cook to the customer preference. I think her reply was unprofessional.

1430 W River Rd the manager was the rudest lady i have ever delt with. when they got my order wrong at the drive through, she tried to make it sound like i ordered a different burger. in hopes of getting a more expensive one for the same price. i ordered a double meat with cheese just the hamburger. and they argued with me that i ordered some kind of jr meal with a large drink even asked if i ordered it at the speaker like i just drove past it and did not order. it's not my fault they cannot get the order right and do not listen to what they are told.

Awful. Was really excited to try Whataburger for the first time. When I got to my hotel (3.3 miles away) the burger was ICE COLD as were the fries. I STUPIDLY popped it in the microwave for about 10-15 seconds... and now I've puked 3 times after consuming less than half of the meal. Absolutely atrocious. My stomach is in SO MUCH PAIN. Not cool.
