Who knew there would finally be a great breakfast and burger 🍔 place right in the heart of the Cumberland area - years in the waiting… We were at a breakfast 🍳 spot close to this one and were looking at $40 for a similar option for two of us. Went with the cooked to order “fast breakfast” and won’t even consider the other option again. Great food and amazing price. Had I not already had a large coffee ☕️ I made at home I woulda ordered the iced coffee there. This location will do high volume breakfast, lunch and dinner. With the touch screen order option and drive through they will rise to the level of demand and establish themselves as the local place to go for great fast food. Just like the one in Kennesaw on KSU 🦉 campus has. Clean, great selection, high quality service and location all make for a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🌟👏🏽🐺

Google
I should have read the reviews before spending ten bucks on this tired burger. We tried Whataburger in Scottsdales, AZ while on vacation and it was delicious but this restaurant was no match. The burger was dry and hard. I could have gone to Wendy's or McDonald's and spent a lot less and got a better burger.

Google
I finally found a place where I can truly enjoy a Cobb salad the way it should be. The ingredients were fresh, the portion was just right, and everything came together perfectly. I also ordered a little twist on the classic—a special Cobb salad with extra grilled chicken—and let me tell you, you can’t beat that. The chicken was tender and flavorful, adding just the right touch of protein. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to again and again!

I’ve been a regular customer and can honestly say the service here is always top notch. Jackie consistently goes above and beyond to make sure orders are fresh, accurate, and delivered in a timely manner. It’s clear Jackie truly cares about customers experience. Every interaction I’ve had has been met with professionalism, friendliness, and a genuine commitment to quality. Highly recommend! Keep up the fantastic work.

Google
It’s good! I’ve personally never had too bad of an experience here. The food is always hot, and a good size and flavor of a “fast food” burger. Breakfast is also top tier. And so what if they are a little slower during evening hours. They are open 24 hours a day 7 days a week unlike anything else in the area, it will back up from time to time. I am more surprised they are able to handle it to begin with 🫡 Did I mention their breakfast is awesome? Glad they have a location ITP 👍

Google
I ordered for curbside pickup at 2:05 only to have to get down 15 to check on my food and another 25 to get the person on the counter to assist me. I ordered at 2:05 only to get my food at 2:44. There were so many people missing so many items to their meals. And not one manager in sight to complain to. The girl at the register was trying her best and not rude but she definitely needed more help. Oh and my order was still wrong after already waiting by 40 minutes. The entire wait was a disappointment that I was no longer craving the meal I ordered. Definitely should have corporate come in a check it out without the location’s knowledge.

Went to this location 01-01-2025 at 8:00pm. Ordered food for me and my girlfriend. When we open the sandwich to take a bite there was a big ball of hair sitting wrapped up in the sandwich. We immediately take the sandwich back inside. And I ask for the manager she cokes up I show her the sandwich and the hair. The first thing she says instead of an apology is that’s not our hair. Nobody back here has that hair. Mind you my hair is short and my girlfriend has braids in. The management is terrible and pitiful to disrespect customers. Because what would be the reason for me to bring the sandwich back in 30 degree weather.

This is a really good Whataburger. I'm hoping to see many more of these in the Atlanta area. The store is well run and obviously has good management because it's running well. All of the employees act as they are really happy to be working there. Very helpful and cheerful. I've been into this store several times and it's always clean and orderly. The food is really good, if you haven't eaten at a Whataburger before, it's an old fashioned hamburger that is really tasty. It's not all covered up with charcoal taste or weird sauces, but they do have a couple of sauces that you need to try. They have a spicy ketchup that's pretty tasty, they've got a green salsa that's very good, and a couple of others. Hey Whataburger is a good size Burger, as big around as a Whopper but thicker, juicier, with a really good beef taste. There's a good selection of what you can add to the burger when you order, similar to five guys but in my opinion it's a better Burger. The fries are good, the onion rings are good, and the portions are very nice. If you've never tried Whataburger, this store will give you a very good introduction to what Whataburger is all about. Go in knowing ahead of time that it's not fancy, not elegant, it will be clean, and orderly, with attentive staff and a great hamburger! I'm reviewing the hamburger but they have plenty of other things like chicken sandwich, a patty melt and other good choices. Give them a try. I don't think you'll be disappointed at all.

Yelp
My first visit experience I recently had my first experience at Whataburger, and overall, it was a pretty solid visit with a few highlights and a couple of things to keep in mind. **Food and Flavor** The food at Whataburger is definitely comforting and satisfying. I tried the Monterey Melt Whataburger and it did not disappoint. The patty was juicy and flavorful, and the bun was soft yet sturdy enough to hold everything together without getting soggy. The toppings were fresh, and the flavor balance was spot on. The fries were crispy and salty, a great complement to the burger. Overall, the meal was delicious and left me feeling full and content, but not overly stuffed. **Service** The service was friendly and efficient. The staff took my order promptly, and I didn't have to wait long to receive my food. It was a busy time during my visit, but the team seemed well-prepared, and the food came out in a timely manner--just a few minutes after ordering. I appreciated the attentiveness of the team, as they were quick to answer questions and make sure everything was right with my order. **Ambiance** The ambiance at Whataburger was casual and laid-back. The restaurant had a classic fast-food vibe, with clean tables, a bright and open atmosphere, and a bit of a retro feel to the decor. It wasn't particularly fancy, but it was comfortable, and the environment was welcoming. The place seemed to have a lot of regulars, which is always a good sign when it comes to fast food. The seating area was spacious enough, though it filled up quickly as the lunch rush hit. **Overall Experience** Overall, my first visit to Whataburger was positive. The food was flavorful, and the service was quick and friendly. The ambiance was what you'd expect from a fast-casual spot--nothing extravagant, but definitely comfortable. I was impressed with how quickly I got my food and the quality of the meal made the whole experience worth it. If you're craving a satisfying burger and fast, friendly service, Whataburger is a great choice.

Yelp
Yeah, ok. I heard about this place years ago but there was never one around me . Finally, I took a shot at this one that opened up in Smyrna. I think now "a burger, is a burger, is a burger, is a burger". Ok, good, nothin' special.

Joshua M.

Yelp
I love a good burger and was eager to try this place out but I would not ever return. Even if it was free I wouldn't come back. A few of the staff member were very rude (jhonny n Jose) but the team lead made up for it.

Alex B.

Yelp
I traveled through Georgia and stopped here at Whataburger for the first time. My Whataburger was fresh and juicy and the fries were crispy and delicious! Service was quick and the staff were super friendly. Restaurant inside was very clean with Atlanta graphics. Will return when I travel again!

Tahnita C.

Yelp
Food: Usually I love the breakfast bowl but, the bowl I received Friday was sloppy and cold Service: I have been here 4-5tines now and service keeps getting worst. I presume because of what seems like high turnover at this location. Ambiance: I placed a curbside order on my way to work yet, the guy in a car next to me who was parked upon my arrival...got out his car to go in to collect his order. Minutes later, I noticed my order say ready but, it was never brought out to me so, I also left parking spot and went inside. The guy and I both waited in the line over 10mins before a gentleman came out to front counter to attend to us and see what we would like/ordered. This was the worst service as they had me late to work over this!

Bernie E.

Yelp
I have had 6 orders in last 4 months longest wait for food I have ever experienced.... Sorry you need to get together

Alfred M.

Yelp
It was okay. My first time having a whataburger. Price was just right but I didn't get the hype on the burger. It's okay. 6.8 in the Portney scale of burgers.

Brandy E.

Yelp
This is the slowest Whataburger I have been to & to get cold food after waiting. This is my 3rd time coming in- 2nd time for breakfast and the first was lunch. I ordered lunch on my app prior to coming in. We waited over 30 minutes for lunch. This morning I placed my order on my app at 8:23, then drove here, there isn't anyone in the drive thru, one couple is sitting in the donning room and they got here about the same time I arrived. It's now 8:36 and they are just now handing me my order. One of the people are friendly. This is a disorganized business. Just realized they forgot one of my drinks, no napkins, or utensils for the meals left at 8:40

Transcendent N.

Yelp
Been in the drive through line now for 22min!! That's not fast food... then I get my drink and it's half full... I didn't pay for half full anything I won't go back to this location at least

Gregory C.

Yelp
Waited about 20 minutes in the drive thru with a toddler in the back. Pretty long wait for a Sunday afternoon. When we pulled up to Menuboard, it was fairly easy to see what we want. The menu was clean and bright. I went with the spicy chicken with onion rings. Try the onion rings you won't be disappointed. Popped off by five below to scarf down this delicious fast food. Oh man, Chick fil A has some new competition. New to Cumberland, we got a decent burger spot. Hit it up!

Shayla J.

Yelp
I should have read the reviews first!! We waited 25 mins at least for a burger and fries to only receive it cold. We went through the drive through and though they had someone standing out there (on his phone nonetheless) it did not make the line go any quicker. To say i'm extremely disappointed and won't be back is an understatement.

Cesar V.

Yelp
I want to pay cash , but no one was at the front , I used my debit card to order en the kiosk Only 4 stars, because in Texas they have more flavor and seasoning

LaWanda N.

Yelp
If you're hungry, and want a big burger, this is the place. There was absolutely nothing special about the burger I had other than the fact that it was large! I was excited about it because of all of the hype that was on the news about the Kennesaw location, but I would have to say WHATA Disappointment! The service was good even though it took a long time and I'd have to say that they were given the incorrect orders and incomplete orders to people when I got there so there were a few upset customers but that was not my experience. Like I said, if you're hungry, this is the place to go because you'll definitely get full with the large burger. But it was nothing special, nothing at all!

Shawne T.

Yelp
I ordered a bacon cheeseburger with med fries and a sweet tea. I ordered at the kiosk to reduce my wait time. As I was making my drink, the number I grabbed for my order was removed from my table along with receipt. I had to go to the counter and I knew it would happen I was met with skepticism about ordering. The big guy walking through the restaurant, I assume some sort of manager, was the one that removed but the young lady was nice and located the number. She brought my food out as well and was very pleasant. The bacon cheeseburger was Ok. It wasn't juicy as I hoped. The fries were perfect! I ordered a fried apple pie as well and it was very tasty. If I do return to this location all I am getting are fries and fried apple pie. The burger was just ok.

Rodger S.

Yelp
Going with a 4. First time, waited a few weeks after they opened to give them a little time. Visit was a mobile order at 6:30p on a Thursday night. I'll give them a little more but here you go: Pros: - Lots of staff! All working and communicating, obviously they were wanting to ensure a good experience and no one was left asking. - Management, equally visible and working hard. He communicated with his team and customers. Was running food and ensuring a good experience. - Restaurant was clean and tables were cleared. - System their system works. Numbers and orders aligned. - Food was good. I'd recommend keeping it as they recommend unless you really don't like something had a "custom" order burger and a regular burger, regular was better. Cons: - Pack your patience - Estimates on time are off. Took longer with a mobile order than people in the restaurant. Not by much but 5-10 minutes beyond the quoted. - Pricey - a little more than most fast food but will say better quality. I will go back. I will order there versus on the app to see if it's better. Appreciate the staff and managers hard work, it was noticed.

Yelp
So this experience that I waited for was a fail literally went there thinking I'm bout to get this dope burger from Whataburger and let me tell you the burger cost me $10 the best thing in that $10 was my root beer whoever made that burger placed mustard on there as if it was mayo. So, that's all I tasted in the big ass burger with nothing but three big ass tomatoes on it and mustard. Let me just tell you it was disgusting not worth the money at all. Also, the ambience in there was clean but the staff smh (that's all I'm going to say). I'm just tired of having expectations for places and they can't even exceed the bare minimum. I def won't be going back.

Trey L.

Yelp
Service needs work....they fucked my order up every time and they don't get it.....If I order a sausage eggs and cheese biscuit and you forget the sausage....MAKE ANOTHER SANDWICH bring me one funky as sausage patty 10 mins later to put on a now cold sandwich

Kirby D.

Yelp
Clean inside and with my app order food arrived correct and perfect. I was worried with the low rating but no issues.

Bug J.

Yelp
Completely forgot abt my order and when I said somthing they wouldn't give me my food and refused to refund it

Dan D.

Yelp
Fast food review. In short, they're too damn popular for their own good. Food during lunch is relatively expedient, but late night can be a huge slog. I went last Saturday and they maybe were handling one order every 4 minutes. Unfortunately, with a dozen cars ahead of me my drive through order took nearly 50 minutes. On the other hand, Whataburger is a top tier fast food burger so...

Keith B.

Yelp
So, not so lucky with upgrading. I went back about a month later. I figured that would give them time to get the kinks out. Nope. The drive thru line was VERY VERY slow. There was a polite gentleman who was trying to help, but the food was very slow. I ended up waiting in the designated parking spots for my food. It probably took 20-25 minutes. When I got back to the office, there was NO MEAT on my hamburger. I decided to try again one more time, just because that first burger was so good. I waited forever in the drive-thru line, and then was directed to the designated waiting spots. I waited there for about 20-25 minutes again! This time I was frustrated and left. I then filed a complaint on the Whataburger app, and asked to have somebody call me to refund my money. Nobody ever even bothered to call. I am guessing that this particular location does not have strong management. I have no choice but to downgrade them to 1 star (and that is being generous).

Janelle C.

Yelp
The one is Kennesaw is so much better. Majority employees don't care to help, or get annoyed when you tell them they forgot something.

One V.

Yelp
Food is good when is served right hot n fresh Service needs a little bit of improvement -they are new and some of these employees are new to the work force so I show them grace Ambiance- it's a burger joint Train these folks w/out rushing to open Do a soft opening for a few hours to assist them with learning. They'll get it. It's still new & they are working out the kinks- meanwhile I'll be in kennesaw getting my next burger Put one in Mableton. I'll come manage it

Erica M.

Yelp
Went around 9:30 and it was pretty busy but JACKIE deserve a raise! She was so kind and appreciative of our patience!

Stacey A.

Yelp
I was born in Texas and i grew up on whataburger! I've enjoyed them as a kid and enjoy it to this day! i was so happy when i found out they had one in atlanta, but was disappointed it wasnt like how i remembered it. It is still good, but if mcdonalds of whataburger were next to each other id choose mcdonalds for the price. They just gotta improve their quality control i believe.

MIchael M.

Yelp
Why is Whataburger even in GA? The quality and taste of the burgers does not equate to TX Whataburger. I LOVE Whataburger when it's done right. Like it better than In-N-Out burger. Bottom line, it loses a lot in the translation. Whataburger corporate.... I don't know what happens when you try and expand to stupid states like GA and AL, but the quality goes to crap. Whataburger TX should rule the world. Including CA and fuck In-N-Out. Figure out how to expand without the quality drops. FYI: I owned a house in Dallas, one in Atlanta and one in AL all at the same time. I've seen you try to move into the GA and AL markets. The quality is shit once you leave TX. Figure it out. You can rule America if you work out the quality issues.

Martin H.

Yelp
Slowwwwwwwwww Burger was good, but took over 20 minutes on a slow night. Set your expectations

Ethan B.

Yelp
the manager made me wait 30 minutes at the front counter for food and then walked up to deny my service with a awful attitude. I respectfully waited and she even took other orders while ignoring me. never coming back.

Miles H.

Yelp
Waited an hour in the drive thru line for lukewarm food, employee didn't even know what order was mine.

S a.

Yelp
Finally a Whataburger in Atlanta! Excellent service and quality food. Every single person that I have ordered from has been so accommodating and professional.

Michael C.

Yelp
Horrrrrrrrrrible service. It's definitely not anywhere close to "fast food". I've waited, all 5 times that I have gone, for no less than 17 min after placing my order. Sit down restaurants have faster serve times than this. Completely inadequately staffed and managed. I'm completely done with patroning this location. Sad

Jesse J.

Yelp
You're not chick-fil-a, get your employee out of the drive-thru so we can see the menu and that they can get out of the rain. Food took forever to get anyways and was shockingly cold and bland. Bad experience all around.

Scott B.

Yelp
So I'm from Dallas, Whataburger is a staple down there! I was so excited to see it here in Atlanta. But this isn't like Dallas at all. First this place is brand new and its employees and managers apparently don't care about it. Cups aren't replenished, tents aren't collected, napkins and trash everywhere, surfaces sticky and dirty, tables not bussed, Tea not refilled... Got our food: burger patties are cold, forgot the ketchup, just very disappointing! Not like the Whataburger I grew up on. So bad my wife won't go back so now it'll be harder for me to ever have a taste of my past. Managers do your jobs!

R L.

Yelp
Sorry to say I know it's about making the food fresh but the service to get your food was so slow. Food is always ok but not worth the wait.

Tyrell B.

Yelp
Literally waiting half an hour for a breakfast sandwich, I just decided to go home the 5$ was not worth having my time wasted.

Rick S.

Yelp
First, I would like to say that I have never had a burger from Whataburger. Secondly, I would like to say that I stopped by this location yesterday to hopefully enjoy my first Whataburger. I walked into the restaurant, there was one person in front of me, and an employee at the register. I overheard the employee at the register directing the person in front of me to one of the self-serve kiosks. I asked politely if we could place an order at the register. The customer in front of me agreed with my question. I received a very terse response from the employee of "Well, you CAN, but there's never been a problem at the kiosk. " I would have loved to have been able to ask questions about whataburger. What makes Whataburger so special? Why couldn't I have a conversation with an employee that could inform me of the wonderful aspects that make Whataburger unique? I lost all hope of possibly having and incredible experience during my first visit. I genuinely have no desire to try a Whataburger now. Is there a chance that a positive customer experience could have made a mediocre Whataburger enjoyable? I'll never know.

Tonya H.

Yelp
A friend and I stopped by this location around 11p.m. and was not pleased with the quality of the food at all. We both ordered the #10 with a Sprite. The fries were very salty, we had to exchange to exchange one of the drinks that was brown in color for the correct drink and whoever was preparing the sandwich was very heavy handed with the sauce. Both drinks were carbonated water and not Sprite at all. Although the customer service was great, the food would honestly be the reason I would not revisit this restaurant again. Paying $19.91 for 2 meals that were poor in taste in food and without receiving a receipt for payment is just not something I would receive from a restaurant at all. I would, however, recommended a training for the employees on food/beverage preparation and presentation.

Jimmy S.

Yelp
Wow! They are killing the whataburger brand. Food isn't supposed to be top shelf but they just don't care and have a horrible attitude about being bad at their job.

J J.

Yelp
I'm hoping to do an update at some point. I think they are a new location, so the staff has some kinks to work out for sure. It took me 30 minutes to get my food. When I asked what the deal was because I was watching people come in after me get there food before me and leave. The staff went in the back and grabbed my food like it had just been sitting there and in fact it was because it was cold. They just really seemed unorganized and under trained as if they didn't have a system. There were multiple employees eating in the dining room, some coming inside from working the drive thru, and going to work in the kitchen just all over the place. As for the food, it was standard whataburger it was not bad after I received it. The gm or manager guy was walking around giving free sauces. I think he knew they were dropping the ball.

Kesli A.

Yelp
Gave me a burger on sandwich bread. Not very good at all. The Diet Coke was good though.

Elsie D.

Yelp
took an absurdly long amount of time and the area is very sketchy. my car started to overheat because of waiting for so long.

Dan M.

Yelp
As a former Texan I was excited to have a Whataburger coming to the Cumberland area! The service here is so bad, it's hardly worth the experience to have my favorite burger. Someone please fix the service!!!

TeErica P.

Yelp
They are open and taste good. The burger was fresh and juicy, the fries were crispy and the shake was delicious. Happy to have one near by.

Bryce R.

Yelp
I came to redeem an offer on my app and this location just opened according to the associate in the drive thru who took my order. The line was long and I probably waited 15 minutes before I got to put my order with Regina. She was very friendly and blew me away when she moved the line for me to get my one item instead of going through the whole drive thru! First impressions are everything and I can't wait to come back to taste some other items on the menu. These fries met the whataburger expectations with their share of salt and crispiness. Chick fila may have some competition down the street since they aren't the only one with iPads and good service.

Poxa P.

Yelp
Bru they mad slowwwwww. took 35 mins for some food. i got dead two meals nothing big and there was no one ahead so they wasn't even busy. y'all just go somewhere else.

Herb R.

Yelp
The burger is very good. The time it takes to get to you is ridiculous. 30 minutes seems like a long time for their standard burger. It just seems a little coaching there will go a long way!

Levi W.

Yelp
Maybe I just went on a good day but everything was perfect. It took a while but I don't want my whataburger fast I want it made to order. everything was perfect and they gave me spicy ketchup without asking.

Lewis C.

Yelp
When you have the employees fighting and kusing one another so loud you can hear it in the dining room and other employees retreat to the dining room, you know it is a mess. I'm sure corporate will hear about this debaucle!

J.P. V.

Yelp
Terrible service. Terrible quality. Didn't get all my food. Waited for 20 minutes and never received it. Left and won't be back. Save yourself and go somewhere else.
