The cashier ignored me and talked to her co-worker about personal stuff while I patiently waited at the register. They both looked at me as I was next in line, so they chose to ignore me. The cashier took my order and handed me a cup and a receipt. I went to the drink machine to fill my cup. The ice wasn't working, and the cashier seemed irritated that she had to look at it. It seemed a common issue as she brought a tool to unjam the ice. She left a pile of ice in the tray beneath the drink spout and just walked off. I wasn't sure she was done until I saw her behind the register again. She could have said it was fixed to let me know I could try again, but her customer service skills were terrible! It took a few minutes for the food to come out, which was reasonable. However, the cooking staff was jamming to loud music, which I was a bit much. Have fun and play some music, but make sure it's appropriate for customers to hear and keep it at a reasonable sound level. The food was not fresh, though! The fries were not hot, and the bun on my hamburger was not fresh. It was not a great experience. Other customers eating their Whataburger meal at the stand-up bar outside the restaurant agreed with my comments. I didn't think the cashier would do anything as she was not interested in helping me in the first place, so I just ate some of the food and went on with my travel. I would not eat here again! There are other options nearby that I've eaten before, and the food and service were much better.
