Why Ted Cruz Would Joke About Beto O’Rourke Banning Barbecue | Eater

"The state's iconic burger chain that the candidate is frequently shown enjoying; it functions in the narrative as an emblem of everyday Texan tastes and relatability, part of a wider campaign strategy of visiting familiar, regional food institutions." - Meghan McCarron

The staff were very friendly at this location. While the food has room for improvement, the portion size is quite large. We had a burger, a spicy chicken sandwich, and fries. The fries were hot and fresh (very similar to McDonald's style fries), but our main sandwiches were unfortunately not very warm. I'd like to try a few more things on the menu in the future and see if the experience can be improved upon.

We finally had a chance to visit the new Whataburger that just opened in our town I must say we give them a 9/10. The service was very quick and professional, the burgers were very good (cooked to order), and the prices weren't outrageous, and of course the place was super clean they've only been open a week.... Let's hope everything stays on this level

They need to call it What A Cold Burger. My food was cold, I threw it away... I opened it up in the parking lot 😔😩 Was late getting somewhere and didn't have time to go in to request them to prepare a hot burger. The Drink was huge.. the fries were warm, made with real potatoes.. So I asked for ketchup, did I get it NOPE! Had to park and go in to get ketchup.... them big dry burger's need ketchup y'all.. I will not be returning to give money away.. That's just my opinion and experience with them.

They had power! Since ours went out while cooking in the storm that came in. Great service, friendly workers. Banana Pudding Milk Shakes are a 10/10. Great food.

Food was okay during my visit today. It was not worth the price I paid for it. Cost too much for the size of the burger and the taste. I thought this was supposed to be the high end fast food burger but very disappointed. Prices need to go way down for portion size customer service and food quality. Plus side it is very clean well maintained. Save your money go to any other burger joint you will get same quality food for the less cash $31 for two people to eat a medium sized meal. Not worth the money or time we will not be returning. But at least it is clean

So excited to have breakfast but this breakfast bowl was empowering SALTY! Hash browns on point. Picked at my bowl because the gravy was unbearable to eat with so much salt. A bit disappointed because the cook was having an off day. ( how do I know you were able to hear him upset with the orders and staff) My respects to Ms. Cassidy M. She try her utmost to reassure the customers everything was ok.

A very disappointing first visit. The service was good, but the food was not up to par. I ordered the jalapeño and cheese hamburger. The meat was cold, and the toppings looked like they came out of a Walmart salad bag. No quality ingredients. Tiny pieces of lettuce, half melted cheese, and jalapeños thrown on top with no real care. Fries were fine initially, and then grew very stiff towards the end of the meal.

Here’s a warning about this Whataburger location. My first time visiting one in Georgia yesterday was a total mess, and it cost me near $20 for nothing. The biggest problem? They charged me for things they didn't give me. I'm not the only complaint about this, read some other reviews. I ordered online and even paid extra to get different sauces I wanted to try. When I got to the drive-thru, the bag looked too small, so I asked the worker if everything was inside, especially the sauces. He said yes. But when I looked right after, there was NOT a single sauce that I paid for in the bag. So, I went inside and told another worker that I paid for sauces that weren't there. She put some sauces in the bag, and I asked her again if she was sure everything was there this time. She checked and said yes. But when I got home? Nope, still missing sauces I paid for! It's crazy that two different people checked, and they still couldn't give me what I paid for. On top of that, my burger wasn't made the way I asked, and the onion rings were cold by the time I got home (but honestly, after all the other problems, who cares about that?). The whole $20 order was so messed up that I just threw it all away. I wasted $20 because they couldn't get my paid order right, even after two chances. Don't waste your money here.

Yelp
Clearly this Whataburger is newly opened. When I parked to go in I was one of two customers inside the restaurant. Maybe two cars in the drive thru. There was tons of staff inside. It took three of them to take one order for one person. Nobody knew what they were doing. I paid almost $14 for a jalapeño cheeseburger large sized meal. They gave me my order number to place on my table and a large cup for my drink. It took them almost 15 minutes to get me my food and I had to walk up front to ask about it. Bear in mind there was only one other person in there in front of me. When I got my food, my hamburger was cold and my fries were not far behind that. I should've gone back and asked for a new hamburger, but I was so disgusted by the ignorance and lack of training of the staff that I just wanted to eat something and leave the restaurant. The restaurant itself was very very clean and as I said before, obviously very new. I stopped at the bathroom before I left. But for a new building and a bathroom that looked clean, the whole bathroom smelled like urine. I also have to say they added pickles to a hamburger that wasn't supposed to have pickles and I had to take them off before I ate my cold hamburger. I have eaten that several other Whataburger in different towns and had a good experience. This Whataburger in Griffin, Georgia, clearly has bad training and bad management and it is just opened. I will never be back to this Whataburger again. I had to repeat four times what I did not want on my hamburger. And that's with three of them standing there helping each other. Avoid this location of Whataburger at all costs.

Yelp
Horrible experience. First off the burger n fries are nothing special at all. Good but mediocre. No seasoning. Fries are boring. Out of most sodas. Charge $1 for a slice of cheese added, so $2 on my double. For the 2 of us was $28 for 2 combos, 1 single and 1 double. And then out of coke, cherry coke, etc. Ended up with unsweet tea because drive thru bright idea is to use up the tea inside instead of making more. All of this is after standing n waiting to order cause the cashier was runnin roun taking care of everything else. Not her fault, props to her. Wont waste my money there again.

Yelp
First visit was the day after the grand opening. Was very busy, but was waited on within 10 min. I ordered the a Double cheese burger and fries to go. Burger arrived in about 15 min due to the crowd. My burger was barely warm, cheese unmelted, and soggy lettuce and tomato. Fries were barely warm also. Didn't return my order because I had already left. For the price this meal was a total waste. Tried them again 2 weeks later, same result, barely warm burger, unmelted cheese, and Luke warm fries. I won't be back to this establishment anytime soon. Go to Culver's instead. Always hot burgers, hot fries. And excellent service.

Yelp
04/08/25 My family and I decided to try Griffin's new Whataburger today, only their second day after Grand Opening. I have only been to two other locations, but I was really looking forward to Griffin's location. It was about 4:10pm, the parking lot was quite busy as you could assume. We decided to go inside and get our order to go. Upon entering, it was a small line for waiting. It did not last long. We ordered and our food was in our hands within a few minutes. We received our order with a complementary Whataburger bag for ordering more than $50. The employees were so busy. It was quite nice seeing employees actually working rather than being on their phones or loafing. The restaurant was clean. The restrooms were very clean. Our food was just simply amazing! We got so eager to go home and eat, we forgot to check our order just to see if it was right. We didn't check it till we got home. Nothing was wrong. Everything was there as ordered. We are definitely coming back. This was such a great experience for only being open it's second day. We loved it!

Yelp
As a native Texan I can say this Whataburger is on point. The staff here is amazing!!! Have been here two times, both times were super busy but all the employees were very nice and helpful.
