Whataburger

It took over ten minutes to get my order and when I finally got it it was incorrect. I did not get an apology of any sort and have been waiting at least 5 minutes for a remake. They do not seem to have table tents in this location so when an order comes out the employees wander around aimlessly asking if this is your order. I have never seen such a poorly run Whataburger. So 19 minutes total to get the correct order which was packaged to go even though I'm dining in and these fries are the saltiest fries I've ever had. I will definitely avoid this location in the future.

This may be the best Whataburger location I have ever been to. I work close to this location so I come here often. The staff are friendly every single time I visit and highly accommodating. There was one time where my brother put in an order for drinks on the app, and I ended up arriving an hour late for pickup, long after the scheduled pickup time for the order. I asked for the order when I arrived but at first they couldn’t find it in their system since it had been so long. The order had disappeared from his app and we were afraid there would be no refund. However after speaking to the kind manager, we found out that they had disposed of the drinks as they had spoiled after sitting outside for so long - but offered to remake them fresh for us. I was so thankful since it was really my fault for arriving so late. The staff all were kind and helpful and lovely. It feels that they take pride in their service, and they really care about delivering a superb customer experience, and I love that.

slowest drive thru ever. yeah it's 3am but me and one other car, took over 30 minutes to get food and the staff seems incredibly unfocused. Whataburger in general just seems like a major hit or miss depending on the shift and location. at this point it's probably just better hunting down an open McDonald's than getting Whataburger at night edit, 40 minute wait for cold food. be so for real right now. nov1 4am

This review is for whoever has always been too lazy to put onions on patty melts at night. Whataburger has the worst value of any fast food chain at this point. There's also nothing more infuriating than being charged extra for a side of sauce, asking if it was put in the bag, and then getting home to discover you were lied to, and your onion-less patty melt with one slice of cheese on it for $14.17 is just an infuriating waste of time and money. Employees were also cussing loudly at one another when I was at the window over something that had gone wrong. This store fluctuates between needing to be shut down and being an average whataburger depending on who is in overnight. I wouldnt be writing this review if it wasnt an ongoing issue over a long period of time. Someone back there at night has an onion/work phobia.. I called for a refund and Sonya lied to me about processing it, told me it would appear within a week or so but it never did. I had to go through my bank, again.

Good customer service even when extremely busy and the food is average whataburger so no complaints

I ordered a taquito with potato, cheese and bacon. There was 1/2 square of cheese, a tiny slice of bacon and 2 hash browns. Apparently if you don't get eggs, you don't get much of a taquito. BUT, it's still the same price! Soo disappointing. The manager was just standing around and joking with the staff and not paying attention to the customers. She's never been any help! Photo 1, bacon, cheese, potato. Photo 2, bacon, egg and cheese with hot sauce. Even without the sauce, the 2nd taquito was twice as big.

I don’t order fast food after a night of binge drinking for the flavor! My sweet God in heaven, this is consistently the SLOWEST drive thru in our nation, let alone beautiful Lone Star state. FFS, please FIGURE IT OUT!!!

What happened? Used to be a good/great location. Night shift seems especially in need of help; 20 min wait (not horrible given the time), but burnt fries, luke cold burger, and w/ something asked not to be included. Day time is better but noticeably not as good as it was 6 months or so ago.

My online order was ready when I got there. All my ordered condiments were ready. I highly recommend the honey butter and the chicken gravy! Perfect temperature and tasty. This location is across the street from the HEB next to the Valero and Hampton Inn. Great for families wanting a causal dining experience.

I don't know why I eat here. I used to eat here maybe once a month, now it's once every few months. But every single visit, the service is always dogwater. The line was long enough as is tonight and that's fine. but what's worse was getting up to the window, being ignored for 5 minutes before even being acknowledged that I'm actually at the window waiting, and seeing the utter disorganization and disarray of the employees inside. And then the guy at the window had the audacity to argue with me when I ask for extra ketchups. Listen bud, I can see the ones you placed in the bag, but I would like more. Don't feed me lip because you think the amount you gave me was adequate. I don't need an argument, I just need you to do your job, and it's not that hard. Staff here needs to be retrained or replaced. Honestly, the whole place should be condemned. WB needs to sell this location to a better owner or appoint better management.

Can't complain about the food. It was good but now they're nicking and dining you to death if you want a cup for water they charge you $.50 if you forget to order ranch they'll charge you $.50 the next thing you'll know you'll be paying for napkins at this place and the service could be improved

Always a great meal at Whataburger and for a fast food chain very good service. It's hard to take Yelp serious if they rank Whataburger #14 in the category for best fast food burger chain.

I went inside to order, it was alright, they service was pretty fast. And it's classic Whataburger, the food was solid and just what you'd expect. I went during the day, lots of old people, and single people eating lunch. I have had orders go wrong in the past so it's hit or miss

This has to be the worst Whataburger I have ever been to in Texas. The staff is incredibly rude and unprofessional and that includes the manager Ana. Told her that the food barely had any sauce and the chicken was as hard as rock and she started complaining and reluctantly remade them, but by then the bad service made us no longer even want to eat or be there. Please drive past this Whataburger and visit others that are much better. It feels dated and dirty inside as well.

Absolute garbage establishment. Whataburger supposed to be 24 hour breakfast and they weren't serving it at 10AM not to mention it took 15 mins for somebody to come and take our order. Won't be back manager should be fired!

Ordered three burgers. Received three but none were correct. Ordered curbside. Had to go inside 10 minutes after order was due to retrieve myself. Was ignored by staff for several minutes. The food I did receive was cold. Amazingly bad experience. Everything was wrong.

620 in Lakeway, has several different fast food places. I chose Whataburger for something quick. I worked 10 hours no break, no lunch, was heading home and stopped in for something to eat. I got the spicy chicken burger. Although I ate through it so fast, and didn't savory the moment. It was juicy and it did have a little spice to it. Lettuce and tomato were crisp. The burger itself was filling and definitely hit the spot. Service was fast. I did go inside, and not the drive thru. Cashier was friendly and brought the food to the table I was sitting at.

If you go late at night- this review is for you. You're gonna be at whataburger for at least 20 minutes if it's past 11:00pm. And that's even if you're the ONLY CAR THERE!! Every time I go there's an issue. The order is not right, the time spent here is way longer than it should be, it's "too busy" so we can't serve breakfast at this time. Mind you, four cars in the drive through is too busy to them. Needs better management to manage their employees because they either don't care or are just lazy.

Every single time I place an order through the app they leave out at least one of my meals or items. I really don't understand because I would think that they look an order that is on paper and then just match that with the items requested. But it never fails they forget at least one meal or item. This morning it was my "free reward" taco and it looks like they made the hash brown sticks and threw them against a wall a few times. I wish we had another Whataburger in Lakeway. Ours is seriously disappointing.

Went though drive thru on a Friday. Line was long, which was to be expected. Ordered a sweet and spicy and patty melt. No more sodas. They were out. Standard for fast food, but this is by whataburger. They left out the basics. Patty melt came with no onions and they forgot our onion rings and fries. Powerade was water with a hint of Powerade powder. Sad because it's so close to home. Still sad that they removed the fish burger entirely from the whataburger menu.

It's Whataburger. What can I say? I'm from the Midwest so I might get flamed for this but I don't see the hype. Never have. The only time I've been semi-impressed by Whataburger is when they have the Hatch Green Chile burger...now that is tasty. The rest is meh. I see some people have had bad experiences with employees. My most recent visit I had Lilian (Lily) waiting on me and she was nice and didn't look "high" like some other reviewers mentioned of other employees. I've also never received a half eaten burger like another review. ha! It's basically one of those places you go to when you're starving and have limited options.

DON'T STOP HERE - GO ANYWHERE ELSE As a lifetime Whataburger fan, this particular location has got to be the absolute worst. I've been to Whataburger restaurants all over Texas as well as New Mexico, Arizona, Louisiana and Florida and the quality rarely varies...until you come to this Lakeway location. BEWARE OF THE DRIVE-THRU You MUST check for missing items...I have never received everything I ordered from this restaurant. And even the food the do provide doesn't come close to the quality of EVERY other Whataburger I've visited. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. They take no care or pride in what food they prepare. RARELY is your food cooked to order...which is why we are happy to usually wait a little longer at other fast food restaurants. But not in Lakeway?! I do think they pre-cook and/or just overcook food and just "throw" it in the bag as orders come in. And don't expect an apology when you take the additional time to drive back through the Drive-Thru to ask for the items they failed to give you the first time around. This restaurant is SLOPPY, RUDE, and incompetent. And if they are this bad with a customers food order...I can only imagine how badly they most likely are with "FOOD SAFETY"! Does the "OWNER" of this franchise even care? I'm reading reviews similar to mine all over YELP. Maybe it's time that the corporate office steps in to provide proper training for the owner and this restaurants employees. Parting comment: As much as you may LOVE Whataburger, don't waste your money at this location.

This whataburger has bad reviews but they have clearly not ordered a honey butter chicken biscuit and 9am bc they are fire and this is the only whataburger I've ever been to that the biscuits tasted like they just came out of the oven.

rude, wide loaded woman treated me and my friends with utter disrespect and refused to give me my onion rings. didn't get my full order even after waiting an hour and 6 people coming in AFTER us and leaving before we even got our food. u cant be horizontally challenged and be rude

I received excellent service from a man I believe was named Jason tonight at the drive-thru. Although there was a crazy long line and not a lot of employees working, he still remained kind and respectful to customers while also doing 3 different jobs at once. Give this man a raise!!

There's a reason this location has only two stars. The employes are illiterate, unmotivated and could care less about serving a quality meal. The only consistency at this store is getting an order wrong and long wait times. There are too many other burger places close by for the same cost and better quality.

I don't even want to give the Lakeway Whataburger one star. It was disgusting. Whataburger sold out to the devil. The hamburger or whatever that meat was hideous. This location disgraces the franchise name. Every time I've been here- Long waits, cold food, something wrong with my order. So sad! Go to sonic, go to hat creek down the road, or make your own burger at home.... they really need to shake this place up an bring in new management!

Never again. I lived for years and th place keeps being awful. Food is so bad I promise to never visit again. Never. Save your money. If you wanna burger go to Vivel near H‑E‑B. Gourmet and not terrible Whataburger. You've been warned.

Best cheeseburger in many years. Yesterday's meal was delicious. Fresh old school burger. Service was exceptional, manager took my plate after eating and asked if everything was okay. He was positive and friendly, I appreciated his sincerity and time. Restaurant was clean and tables cleared quickly. Vast improvement over my last visit. Keep up the good work. I'll be back!

It's the evening of Wednesday, July 20, and I didn't catch the name of the manager on duty but I just want to say he was super nice and helpful and went out of his way to take care of what I needed on a busy shortstaffed night. Literally the best fast food customer service experience I've ever had! So I just especially want to say thank you. And to the owners, I don't care what you've got to pay him, don't ever let this guy go - unless it's to catapult him into an even better career for himself! He's a gentleman and a model for any employee you have! Thanks again.

I was so disappointed when I was ready to bite in my Burger only to find out that it had grilled jalapeños on it when grilled onions were ordered! I am very sensitive to spicy food and had to strip the entire burger down to a plain burger. The girl who took our order even repeated the correct order back to us! I know this is a crazy time for all of us but the people who are taking the orders need to type them in correctly! People have food sensitivities and allergies!

Let me begin by stating that I really like Whataburger. They make a solid product, sell at a reasonable price, and they're open late. All plusses. Compared to other outlets, this one is pretty meh. I've been by twice and a) the service has been pretty darned slow, and b) the bathroom were less than clean. Come on guys, I know you can do better! This place gets 2 stars on the 'CTJ Scale', as noted below. 5 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Jesus good. Would be OK passing on after finishing a meal here. 4 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Mary good. Would be OK being seen eating here by Mother Mary. 3 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Joseph good. Would be OK having a beer here with Jesus' Dad. 2 out of 5 stars: Come-to-the-Apostles good. Meh. Probably the most worthless and laziest group managed by a dumbass. I ordered my meal for curbside pick via the app at 11:40pm. After I pulled in the manager was parked in one of the curbside spots chilling in his car. He proceeded to tell me to go thru the drive thru to pickup my order because the don't do curbside so late. However in the drive thru, one car was told to pull up because it was going to take a moment for his order. The guess what? SOMEONE BROUGHT HIS ORDER TO HIS CAR.... Wait for it...... CURBSIDE. This manager is a lazy good for nothing worthless dumbf***.

This whataburger location is fantastic! Super friendly and proactive staff, clean interior, and as always, delicious food. Very fast service too! Love going to this location.

Asked for a sweet and spicy bacon burger and they gave a bun and pattie and when I called they didn't answer worst place to eat .

We walked in with 15 students from a field course for Subsurface Consultants & Associates, LLC Geoscience Certification Program - Boot Camp on a busy afternoon. Serfronia requested our patience because they were short-staffed. Not only was she efficient in taking our order, but Serfronia and her team were extremely friendly. Ah, the "Beacon in the Night". I go there for the best meal to be had in Lakeway at 3AM, but that's for sustenance. A minor item to be checked off the list. The beacon calls out in other languages though, and I heed that call. Hauling a boat and ride'n dirty through the LPD gauntlet at O'Dark Thirty for a double meat - double cheese with mayo and ketchup all the way. Adventure is on the menu, with some late-night dining room drama for desert. I am a gazelle at the watering hole in Krueger. We all are.

This location is the worst! It took over 20 minutes to get our food through the drive thru. The burgers were stone cold and the meat was overcooked and dry. Never coming back to this Lakeway location.

I could not be more disappointed. Unless you have the day off work, and can wait in the drive thru for almost 30 minutes, and enjoy cold, tasteless food that might have been prepared yesterday- pass this Whataburger up and keep driving. I was the car right behind the person ordering this morning, and almost 20 minutes later I was paying- and then waited another 6 minutes for my food. The food was cold and horrible.

Good food, great people, Texas tradition. Carlos has been a manager here forever and always has a smile on his face. The food is consistently hot and tasty. Give it a try!

For this location, this is really a 2 Star review. Reason I'm giving it 3 is because despite this locations fault, it's still whataburger and I love whataburger. Just went through their drive thru. Guy on the mic seemed a little quick/short with me which, it's whatever I'm not expecting to be worshipped for ordering food. I didn't think much about it. But when I got to the window that's where things became much more clear..... the guy working the drive thru was either on a trip, or STONED. And let me reiterate that I have no issue with marijuana, but I do have a concern as a customer, and an advocate for this establishment that frequents mistakes, and wrong orders. And let me clarify, that although I don't have an issue with the substance in general, I must say that it looks pretty bad that me, a regular Joe Shmoe with the average know can tell when someone is under the influence, which means that every other Joe Shmoe can tell. It looks bad, it makes me question the focus, and cleanliness that the staff at this location is enforcing. I'm not one to complain about this sortve thing regularly. But in this instance, had I been exhausted and not on my lunch break I might have not caught that the gentleman failed to give me both my drink, and my card back. Do I want this employee terminated? No. But I would like whataburger to look a little closer into this issue and consider reeducating their staff on professional presentation of ones self as a representative of their business. I love whataburger too much to be accepting of this sortve conduct. This review is not intended to slander, or degrade whataburger as a business. Like I said, they're great and I have had no issues previously. But this just got a little under my skin today considering that past reviews have indicated this communities unhappiness with their service and I believe that Whataburger, a Texas Icon. Deserves much better. Guys this is work, not play. Buckle down and get your job done first, get high later.

I'm so disappointed with this location. I grew up with whataburger and this is not even close to the quality and service it use to be. I understand it's been sold to a group from Chicago and they have no idea how to run what use to be the gold standard of fast food burgers in Texas. This location has not reopened in store service so you think they would have short wait times for drive through service but it's just the opposite, my last visit took nearly an hour, I called the store while in line and Geronimo the manager said he was "fighting" with one of his employees and just to wait.... Everything came to a standstill. Couldn't leave because of the drive through access. Once I arrived at the window I was greeted with an employee who was on the verge of tears because of Geronimo, not wanting to wait any longer and once I got home the order was incomplete and the produce was on the verge of rotting. Absolutely horrible and was fearful to eat as I thought we might get sick. I gave this location 3 times to correct its faults but to no avail even after a call to corporate. It's very sad that something you have grown to love and take your family to has come to what it is today. So with a heavy heart I don't recommend this location EVER.....

What a piece of crap! We ordered a take out meal and didn't get our jalapeños, mustard, onion rings and salad dressing. On top of that no utensils. We paid for all of that! It very frustrating when you don't get what you paid for plus it tastes like crap!!! Why would we ever go there again!?
