Happy Birthday Whataburger 🥳 Went in for the 75 cent burgers, not sure why people were being mean and rude to the employees.. they don’t deserve that and on a special like that errors and wait long times are to be expected. Good job team! Management was exceptional. And we took a couple of goodies 🥰

Worst. Stood at the front counter for about 20 minutes. No eye contact, no acknowledgement and 3 workers passed the counter multipletines, tinkered with the registers, and just walked away. What the heck? One worker spent more time hiding on the side wall playing with her phone. Ordered online, only to find out 20 minutes later (after they ask if we have been helped) that our order was just sitting at the back and not at the pickup rack. There was one couple eating and a short drive through line, so would not say they were busy. No, I didn't enjoy my cold food.

Food is on point but like many other fast food places, service inside has gone downhill. Expect a wait at the register while the employees gossip and they never ask if you have the app so you wait again while they do the awkward reach over the register thing.

Just ordered $30 worth of food and was told I could only have 2 ketchups for my whole order. & it was the manager enforcing it. Do better.

Not only did they take more than 30 minutes for our mediocre food. But we paid for gravy and didn’t get any then we asked for no tomatoes in my jr WHATABURGER only to get 4 IN THE JR BURGER THE JR! This is ridiculous then when we try to call for a refund they didn’t answer for anything honestly overall terrible service and the drive thru worker should be fired for being high on the clock

I used to have horrible experiences here but the lady talking through the drive through speaker is amazing!!!!!! She's so nice and patient, didn't make me feel like I was a bother for taking a second to order. Amazing, give her a raise honestly. 👏👏👏👏

I go here often and never have complaints but this is not the first time I get a large fry that’s half way filled. So now I am putting a review. Looks like I need to start looking in my bag before I leave. I should not have to do that. Do better What A Burger.

Good location and good food! The staff were great!

Stopped on my way to Austin got me a honey bbq strip sandwich and it was amazing. Fries were fresh and soda was perfect. Kept me awake while I drove through town. Not bad for a 1am snack attack!

This is for the 151 frontage location. I pass two other Whataburgers to get to this one. Location really does matter. I live close to a Dairy Queen and never go because of the hassle getting in and out of there. Easy in, easy out at this one and also no matter what crazy time I have gone and no matter how much I change what's on my item, it has ALWAYS BEEN CORRECT! *5 stars for this place. Now I'm here to talk about the wings which we all know are chicken nuggets with or without sauce. I got two sauced ones to try. First the sweet n spicy which I really enjoyed...not too big a kick in spice. Just enough. Interesting flavor reminded me of Chinese food. Really enjoyed. * 3 1/2 stars Then the buffalo...OMG I don't know if mine soaked in more or what but this burnt both my mouth and stomach and I spent a lot of time in the bathroom that night and the next day. Did they add something different to it? I'm not a buffalo wimp. I've had them at the original Anchor Bar in NY while coming from Niagara Falls. I've even had them at the San Antonio location and lots of other places. Now I usually dip in blue cheese to cool them off. That wasn't offered but I tried ranch and cream gravy and nothing helped. Now you can get the wings not sauced and just dip. I've had the buffalo dip before and it was not as on fire as that sauce. So you might want to try un sauced in that flavor and dip. Now I think you get more sauce when they come sauced but not sure on that. I can't give those wings more than a *2 star since they tore me up so bad. I wonder do they pre-sauce these and does it intensify as it sits? No idea but I'm not getting that wing flavor again. I've also really enjoyed the return of the Monterrey Melt...I love that burger but I often change out the bun for Texas toast but I do that with a number of hamburgers. I've had it both ways this time...and always a *5 star to me. Sorry no photos this time. I was a hungry girl and forgot to stop and take them.

Today, I got the chicken sandwich with Mayo and cheese instead of whata sauce. I get home and it does have cheese but it's dry with no Mayo. After my second bite I notice a weird consistency. So I open my burger and the top half of the chicken filet slides off and it's slimy in between. So frkn disgusting!!! I threw it away! I am still so grossed out I keep gagging. Aside from that the burger was cold. I will not go to this location again after constant let downs. The last 5 times have been about 45 minute waits in drive thru for crappy food. This was my last chance and they blew it royally. Never thought I'd say this but I'm Done with Whataburger. It's really gone downhill. Btw I put Mayo on it myself at home. ‍

The staff was very friendly. Saturday afternoon so they were busy. They made the drive through into to lanes to speed up process. However my double whataburger with mustard lettuce and tomatoes came with onions and jalapeños stuck to the bun and my fries were not hot when I received them. However it's whataburger and I will still be back for more!!!

Saucing there new wings like Dominoes. Old fries hard af bun. Of course. Head to the Whataburger on Potranco & 1604. 151 Whataburger blows hard!

This is my first time in Texas, so I wanted to try a Whataburger since it's the place to get a burger in Texas. Fortunately, I stayed at the Hampton Inn nearest to Lackland AFB, and there's a Whataburger just across the highway (5-10 minutes away). It was easy to find and get to, and I had a few friends to meet up with at another hotel, so it was really convenient to run over and pick up some burgers, fries, and soft drinks to take to my friends so they wouldn't need to worry about dinner. There was a line, but it moved really quick thanks to how good the crew was. It was easy to order since we all wanted just the original burger and it was an easy order. I noticed the crew brought the food to tables of people dining in, and while serving, the crew brings a tray with all their condiments available. No one dining in needs to get up from their seats once their food arrives. Pretty good for a fast food place. Once I got the food to my friends' place, we dug in, and the burgers were huge! The diameter of the bun is almost as big as the size of my hand from my finger tip to the back edge of my palm. The burger is slightly smaller than the edge around the entire bun and about a half inch thick. Burgers are grilled in the back and you can hear the sizzle and smell the burger from the grill that never ceases. Comes with fresh shredded lettuce and tomato slices, pickles, and mustard. Fries were nothing special (much like McDonald's), but the serving was overflowing from the container. First French fry was lightly salted and crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. It's definitely just as good as any other fast food spot when it's relatively fresh and hot. First bite of the burger was impressive and meaty. The condiments and bun didn't overwhelm the burger, and the meaty patty definitely reminded us Texas is all about big beef. Every bite was delicious and balanced, and all of us enjoyed the burger from start to finish. I was so impressed, I got some grilled chicken sandwiches for the evening shift and the entire crew at my hotel to show my appreciation for their hospitality (about 30 people in all between the day and night crew). Placing the order was funny - when I asked for twenty five grilled chicken sandwiches for the day crew, the poor young lady taking my order (I think she was a manager) had big eyes, asked if I was serious, and knew I was after I paid. Then she went in the back to help make everything. The order was excellent in both timing (about 10 minutes to make 25 sandwiches, and they were still serving other customers and had quite a few in the drive thru) and packaging, and Whataburger had the fanciest large bags to accommodate the order. I was so impressed, I asked for the hotel staff to return the bags to me after distributing the sandwiches. If you're in Texas, gotta try this place. Top shape and it's ONO for a fast food burger joint.

They were going good but I came in and this rude blonde lady at the register yelled at my daughter and I that they have a 30 minute wait as soon as we opened the door. So rude. There was no line inside. The place was empty. It was very evident she is a racist and did not want to work or serve us. Y'all need to get rid of her. I was dumbfounded. We've never been told that especially when the restaurant is completely empty on a Wednesday . We've gone to locations in the hood, with lines up the wazzoo, both inside and out and we are always treated w great service w max 15 min wait w a ton of people in front of us. Everyone else was nice but Homegirl gotta go. Nobody needs that negativity at Whataburger.

I come here a lot. It's a love hate relationship. Sometimes they're on point others......not so much. If you do takeout or curbside it could be right at the determined time or they might have ya wait half hour to an hour. Not even notice you are there after an online order. The drive thru could be 5 minutes to a parking lot all the way to the stop signs for an hour. Might have your whole meal, might be missing some things. Ya can tell the workers are pretty razzled with the high volume and then you'll have 4 of them chilling on break while they're swamped and 2 are doing everything. I would rate 1 star but you can tell they're hustling, just not enough manpower to keep up or something. Real friendly. Forgot my hot apple pie, but gave me a milkshake to make up for a 45 minute wait. Foods always been good.

Went through the drive thru and they gave me a bacon taquito when I ordered sausage. The fries were not fresh and very over cooked. I got all the way home before I realized the order was wrong, so I drove back and asked politely to have the order remade. No apology, no offers to make up for the trip. They remade the order and it was still wrong- this time they gave me one medium fry and one small when I ordered two medium. Again, I told the employee it was still wrong and no apology was made. The restaurant was practically empty- only 2 other customers were there and the drive thru was not busy. The ticket was right, so they just didn't care enough to read it.

This is the slowest fast food restaurant in the nation. I leave this review as I've been sitting in the drive thru for 33 minutes now with only 4 cars ahead of me. The entire management staff should be fired. #slowassburger

Food is so bad. Onion ring are burnt in old grease. Cheese on burger is not even melted. Fries are always stale. One of the worst locations in town.

Over all staff was nice but annoyed with the burger there is like no veggies on the burger and like maybe a squirt of mustered... I do like veggies on my burger and that is really my only complaint!!

Ordered a whataburger with cheese, with mayo instead of mustard. The drive through cashier asked 3 separate times what I wanted. They finally got the order placed correctly because the receipt shows it correctly. We get home and there's no cheese, no Mayo, and it has mustard. I just don't have patience for this stuff anymore. People just not paying attention or caring at all to check that the order is right (and it was a simple order).

The line was so slow, ordered my food, got to the window and immediately get handed the wrong kids drink I told her that's not mine and told her what I had and then started to repeat my order and she interrupts me and says yea I know the food I was just confused on drinks then pretty sure I paid for a wrong order.. got my food, it was the wrong order.. went inside and the girl at the register was on her phone paying at the register for her own order and says to me just a minute I'm paying for my food.. the entire place is so disorganized and the workers are rude.

Ordered curbside for me and my kids. They brought drinks right out but after 15 minutes I had to go in and ask for our food. It had been just sitting there.

Food is typical Whataburger good. I order online and every single time I have to wait for my order because they don't have it ready. It appears they start when I get there as if I was just someone else in line. Defeats the purpose of ordering online. Takes sometimes up to 15 minutes for me to wait to get my order. If you don't request condiments and napkins they will not give it to you.

the workers are so friendly no matter what time you go by. morning, dinner, after the bar, sweethearts. food has usually always been fresh, hot and tasty.

Great little quick stop for lunch, the food was made to Whataburger standards. The restaurant was busy but service was prompt and got our order pretty quick. Fairly clean location could of use a bit of more attention in the lobby

Went there at 6 on a weekday. Wasn't expecting fast food when I saw the drive thru line all the way back 4 cars past the order monitor, so I went inside and get it to go. No line, ordered right away. While waiting the staff was friendly and smiling the whole time. No one else came in after me, so it was a nice environment. All the business was in the kitchen and the drive thru. At one point the manager from the back looked out and told me my burger was about to come out. Overall, it was a good experience. Very clean and inviting inside. Definitely one of the nicer ones in San Antonio.

Me and my mom and my sisters went to Whataburger we ordered five burgers along with fries we got 4 burgers and only 2 fries and the line was so long we called and the name was Karen I was like no wonder I don't recommend I looked at all these reviews and most of them were bad. DONT GO TO THIS WHATABURGER!!!!

The service good but the strips were small and cold and toast was soggy. Should have gotten a Patty Melt!

A piece of moldy/bacteria slime fell into my cup form the ice dispenser. I informed an employee that it needs cleaned. She said she would clean it, and then continued to serve drinks to drive through orders using the same ice dispenser.

This place is usually on point but there was an issue with my order today. Thankfully the wonderful Ray (he has a gold chain and curly hair) fixed my issue. He really went above and beyond to make my day better. I'm very thankful for Ray and I will definitely come back to Whataburger again because of him. Thanks Ray!!!

Stopped to get only shakes which some are limited and they had none. Ever since WB sold it has really changed in a bad way. The customer service is no longer there and the food is not as good as it used to be - and I used to stop by weekly but not anymore.

UPDATE: The food went down hill since last time. There is no napkin on the counter.

Its reminds me of this Mushroom Burger joint @ Tagaytay in Philippines, my home. Best of the best-- fries is good and service was awesome

This is the aecond time in a month that I have waited over 20 minutes to get my curbside meal at this location. Both times i had to go in to get my meal. This time I noticed that there were at least 8 people working there and the drive through was moving, so it was clear they were ignoring the curbside orders. I have been going to this location all through the pandemic and have not run into this problem until a month ago. But i am not inclined to go back since they dont seem to have their act together.

Great service, went for lunch and got my meal fast and correct. I was greeted and given everything I needed.

I was yesterday at Blanco and 1604 and Paula gave us a great service at the curbside. She was super nice and professional. congratulations

Soooo, decided to stop by Whatburger on my way home. I thought...hmmm, I haven't had onion rings in a while...so, I ordered some. Well, I'm not sure if these were from a month ago, but they definitely weren't golden and crispy. Here's a thought: Quality Control of products leaving the restaurant should be a high priority. But, I blame myself...I should have checked the bag before leaving. All the more reason to cook at home!

Went to Whataburger yet again, I can't say no!, and yet again waited about 40 minutes for one meal. It wasn't anything complicated either and went at about 3pm

I had to stop going to this Whataburger during my lunch break because they have absolutely zero sense of urgency. No one is in a rush to do anything. Don't think coming inside if the drive thru line is taking too long or is reaching out to the street, inside you can make eye contact with both managers during a shift and they won't even come to take your order. Nothing about this food is apparently fast.

Whataburger is the best, in the west, wearing a vest, around my chest, this is not a test. Breakfast burger was good!

drove 6 miles to go dine in. Got there, doors are open. People sitting down eating. Went up to counter to order and was told they were not taking any dine in orders, only drive thru. The counter registers are open, clerks are standing by them, customers sitting down eating and they are not taking orders. What a bunch of pathetic losers. they are the worst ever. Strike Out...

Whataburger is pretty good for a fast food burger chain. They have reasonable priced items, keep the place clean and taken care of and are nice. From the two I've been too they keep a lot of people on staff so that they are not swamped and end up with bad service or long waits.

Drive through. Ordered 3 # 1's combo with cheese switched two of the drinks for Strawberry shakes. Always a very long wait for drive up. Received 1 complete meal, received the shakes. 1 meal no fries. The hamburger was plain no mustard anything no cheese. Other combo no fries some lettuce. I called to question the order and " management) bring the items back and we will start a new order. No thanks. The thirty two minute wait was enough. It used to be a nice place for a burger.

Make sure you you check your food before leaving! Country gravy was like it came out of the fridge and allowed to warm to maybe room temp.
