Whataburger

I’m not sure what’s the issue with this location but every time I come here, there’s something wrong with my order. My onion rings were burnt and the chicken fajita was so oily.

I recently visited this burger restaurant and had an excellent experience. The food was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The burger was perfectly cooked, the toppings were high‑quality, and the bun held everything together without getting soggy. The fries were crisp and seasoned just right. The service was just as impressive. The staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. My order came out quickly, and everything was exactly as requested. The restaurant was clean, comfortable, and had a relaxed atmosphere that made the meal even more enjoyable. Overall, this place delivers great food and great service. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending it to others.

Everything's good about this place all right but often get a lot of these fries that have this green reaction Fry's have one exposed to a lot of light it can lead to digestive problems if eaten update a week later after riding this review I came to write one and I noticed I already wrote one a week ago but this time the tenders are weird like if somebody was playing with it and there was a little piece of cheese in the Box and I want to complain about there being four chicken tenders instead of three if I weren't for the fact that they look like they've been playing with it

I went through the drive through, the line first the first lane was out to the street, so I got in the second lane, I had already been told by a coworker not to use the second lane but decided to try it anyway, I wasn't going to get in the other line. Big mistake! The guy in front of me had already been there when I drove up and was still there a good 5-8 minutes before his order was taken, I sat there a good same amount of time myself. In the meantime the vehicles in lane one kept going by, the lane 2 line did not move at all! I arrived at the line at 11:10 and at 11:37 I still did not have my food! I had to leave with no food, I had to get back to work. I will not be returning to that location even though it's very close to my workplace.

This was a replacement order and I got this meat that looks crazy with holes in it it had so much salt on it it was inedible so at this time I feel like you did this on purpose cuz you had to replace my order that was messed up the first time I'm so offended I will never spend my money at this place again just trash

I love whataburger. This was the 1st time I've ever been to this location and I asked what I've always asked for which is honey bbq chicken sandwich but I always sub it with honey butter and never had a problem at any other location except this one. I asked to sub it and what they did was make it a regular one and charged me extra for a side of honey butter which wasn't at all what I asked for. I think ill stick with the 1604/chase hill location.

Everything is great until they bring my dine in order in a bag and said they're out of trays. I look around and it's only me and one other person. Doesn't make sense to me. Idk if I did something wrong. Was it because I asked for no bun oil?

Very disappointed with my visit today. I came here for a quick meal, but it ended up taking 30 minutes just to get our food — and we were dining in. For a fast food restaurant, that’s completely unacceptable. The place wasn’t even that busy, yet the staff seemed disorganized and uninterested. No updates, no apology, just a long wait for food that came out lukewarm. If you’re looking for something quick, this is not the place. I won’t be coming back until they figure out how to actually serve food in a timely manner.

My friend and his son took me to Whataburger when I was visiting them in San Antonio on October 11, 2025. We walked right in and, since this was my first time at a Whataburger, I had to read the menu thoroughly and ask my friends for suggestions. I got the cheeseburger with bacon (I think it was with 2 patties) and French Fries. For a fast-food type of place, I found the service, seating, and food very good. Being from California, I am used to In-n-Out Burger. I would give In-n-Out the edge, but only very slightly. If both were in the same location, it would be a flip of the coin as to which one I would go to on any given day. All I can say is the food was quite filling and I enjoyed it very much. As for the ambience, this was a quiet location. We ordered at the counter and they brought the food to our table when it was ready for us.

We went through the drive-thru and ordered two chocolate milkshakes. There were about five cars ahead of us, so we expected a bit of a wait--Whataburger usually takes a little longer. But after waiting over 15 minutes in line, we finally reached the window only to be told, "Sorry, our chocolate shake machine isn't working." It's extremely frustrating that no one mentioned this earlier--especially after sitting in line for that long. The least they could've done was inform customers before reaching the window. Very disappointing and unprofessional experience.

This location's food falls a little flat compared to others. Before I review the food, I will say that the staff was very kind and made sure to get our order perfect, going so far as to give us extra picante sauce unprompted. It was late at night when we went and the dining room was open, full of guests, and clean. The place was busy, but they were doing a good job keeping up with orders and taking care of guests. Onto the food. Though I'm not the biggest Whataburger fan, I do love their Breakfast Burger. I go enough for breakfast to be able to say that this was one of the more bland burgers I've had. The hash browns had minimal to no seasoning, the bacon was a little undercooked, the patty was as boring as you can get, and there was not enough of the jalapeño sauce, the thing that makes the burger what it is, to save this sandwich. The staff was great, the food not so much. Again, it was busier, so it could've just been one of those nights.

Got whatawings they barely had any sauce on them. You'll need to be less stingy on the sauce had to add my own at home.

i have yet to have a good experience at this whataburger. & i've driven 2 hrs just to GET to a whataburger. Doesn't matter if i use the drive thru, the app, or walk right in , the experience is the same. long wait time & less than kind people. could be understaffed, which falls on management & not the team. i truly hate to give criticism but i will happily drive to a nearby store to avoid this one & that's not the reputation i relay to people inquiring about whata for the first time or fellow texans

We just got three taquitos and one breakfast sandwich meal and it took over 24 minutes to get our order. There should be an upper management reviewing the order times, because it was quite ridiculous. This is like the third time this has happened to us. Our order number was 58351.

All right, I'm a general fan of Whataburger, and I have to give kudos to this location. It's a well run establishment and the crew is constantly working; they're still a bit on the slow side when it comes to the rush-hour times, but they're at least friendly about it. I will give extra kudos to a seasonal(?) entry on their menu. Their chili cheeseburger has cheese along with Whataburger's own beef chili, onions, and crunchy corn chips. I get this with a grill-seared bun, which gets it smushed to where it looks like roadkill...but DANG is it good! This place scores a 4 out of 5 on the 'CTJ Scale', as noted below. 5 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Jesus good. Would be OK passing away after finishing a plate here. 4 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Mary good. Would be OK having a nosh here with Mother Mary. 3 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Joseph good. Would be OK having a beer here with Jesus' Dad. 2 out of 5 stars: Come-to-the-Apostles good. Meh. Wouldn't have my last supper here. 1 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Nobody good. I wouldn't have my penultimate supper here, either.

Growing up in TX I had the pleasure of eating Whataburger anytime I wanted. There are lots of hamburger joints in TX as any other place in the US. Each state has the "burger" or food that has to be eaten while visiting because it's what we remember eating growing up in that state. I am sure you are thinking of that place now as you read this. In fact some of you (us) are thinking of excuse right now to go home just to eat a particular "burger" or food. It brings back memories, makes us comfortable. Whataburger does that for me, a #1 everything on it plus fresh Jalapeños, I can taste it now. So now I am reflecting on the Whataburger I just ate and already looking forward to heading back to TX so I can enjoy another Whataburger experience!! Bucket list!!

Bacon Steakhouse Double Burger Would not order this again. Did not get anything like what is pictured on WB's website or on drive thru menu sign. Skinny, thin bun (why do they even bother?), thin meat patties, barely any bacon, sauce or fried onion strings on what I got. Minimal effort on their part. Misleading advertising. An expensive burger ($17.72 for meal, burger alone is $9.99)--big waste of money. Meat tasted "off"--choked down a few bites, rest of it went in the trash. Overall wouldn't recommend this. See photos I've attached of what they picture on their website to promote this special limited time burger vs. photo of what I got. Yuk!

I love Whataburger. Yummy... I could make a commercial... The kids love the strawberry shake

Decent Burgers and Fries..... Very well run establishment and the crew is constantly working on drive thru and walkins..... For fast food is definitely a "Step Up"!!! They even bring your food out to your table and also provide condiments by request.....very nice touch. Friendly service with a smile (Even through the silly Masks) and very clean and organized! My Avocado Bacon Burger was Delicious with Toasted Bun and my Nephew had Classic WhatABurger!! Definitely Hit the Spot for afternoon lunch!! Tons of room and Space even with Ridiculous COVID restrictions!! Plenty of outdoor parking all around the joint too!! Right off the Highway as well!!

Just ordered food waited My sandwich was cold I felt like that sandwich was there for about 45 minutes and he did not ask whether or not I wanted some mayonnaise or ketchup on my sandwich

I have to say this is the worst Whataburger I have ever been to. They have messed up my orders multiple times but today they definitely were the worst ever. I ordered hotcakes with a side of eggs and sausage. First the order came without syrup. I drove away got to my destination realized great they forgot the syrup. Went back and picked up the syrup drove away again and realized wait a minute. There's no utensils. How in the world am I supposed to eat pancakes eggs and sausage without any utensils. This place is terrible... I don't know why they don't inspect the orders but it's unbelievable that you're gonna give pancakes without giving syrup and not putting any utensils in the order. Unbelievable man.

Love the food here it's always fresh and I never have to wait. I pulled up in the curbside and my order was waiting for me. Great service

This has to be the worst location in San Antonio, hands down. Before, I'd have to check my bag for my fries and or hash browns that came with my meal. Now I have to open the wrapping to make sure it's THE CORRECT SANDWICH. The level of incompetence truly is shocking and appalling. Please go to any other location.

Today I went through the drive thru and the double lanes are great. My order was taken quickly and walked out to my car by a polite and helpful employee, but I will say, the unsweetened tea tasted bad, I got ketchup instead of the salt I asked for (which is probably a good thing) and my burger looks like someone stepped on it. Aside from that, I enjoyed my #7. :)

One star for the quality of food! We love Whataburger but this is the dirtiest location I ever seen. So disappointed from the restroom, drink station, floors inside and out. The floors are so soiled and very slippery with an oily substance. Wanna law suit or an injury here's your place. Hopefully the DM comes to do an inspection!!! Although the food was excellent as usual but we will NOT be returning to this location

Whataburger, the Texas cult classic. People will fight you over In-And-Out vs Whata till the cows come home, but any true Texan always chooses Whata. I've been frequenting Whata my entire life, especially when I need a late night study session pick me up. They start serving breakfast at 11pm, which is perfect timing for any college student. Today I was most impressed with how quickly my order was prepared. In the past, I've experienced long wait times (especially when the drive thru was as busy as it was today), but I received my food in record time. As always, my Patty Melt was fantastic. I've always been a fan of Whata speciality burgers over their regular burgers, so I'd suggest the Patty Melt, Sweet and Spicy Bacon Burger, or Avocado Bacon Burger. Or, if it's breakfast time...the Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit (HBCB as abbreviated via food order texts from my friends).

This is in my neighborhood, so it's convenient to come here; however, I've given them chances time and time again but they continue to mess up our orders--- missing burger, the time to wait for your 'fast' food meal, some workers act like they don't want to be there.

I have learned my lesson this last time! I'm not sure what the manager Jason is doing but it's not good. I will relocate my business to another. Food is awful! I asked for a burger with extra pickles and toasted buns. It's obvious that they take a burger that's been sitting on the counter warm the buns slap some pickles on it. The buns were so soggy and gross! The fries were not that light vanilla color and crispy like they use to. They were soggy again! This will be the 3 rd time with the fries. No more I hope people will read this and stop going to this location.

Had a breakfast taco there 17 July 23 and it gave me food poisoning. It was the only thing I ate that day, still feel miserable. Tx Dept of Health needs to pay this place a visit.

This place is a dysfunctional mess. The employees were arguing and cursing at each other in front of the customers. It's took me over 20 minutes to get my meal and I don't trust the people who made it. Avoid this whataburger at all costs it's not worth the wait.

Ok I am giving a fast food place 5 stars... heck I might have gone with 6 stars if I could have. I have never had such great service at a Whataburger or any fast food place in my life, but THIS particular water Burger you gotta come see it the young man, Albert G., at the front is hustling, getting orders in but doing it like everyone matters and he is amazing. I have no idea could order a WhataBurger with a toasted bun. The hamburger was delivered hot and fresh. Fries were hot. And he asked me to check if the fries were hot. Wow!! He made sure every order comes out perfect. He takes the time to get each order right...no ....he gets the order perfect. Alberta made a fast food experience EXCEPTIONAL. Thank you!!! Come to this one and get a better experience and great customized food.

We just went to whataburger and the order was somewhat wrong. I asked for two extra thousand island sauces- one on my burger and one on the side. When i opened the bag, i couldn't find either of them and they charge extra for sauces. Not a big deal, but we didn't even get ketchup either and my friend ordered the avocado bacon burger, which wasn't correct because she ordered the guacamole and creamy pepper sauce on the burger, which they packed on the side. The avocado is brown and doesn't look edible. Usually we don't have problems at this whataburger location but i was disappointed for the upcharges when neither of us really received our correct order. Kinda pissed about the sauce still but it's ok, life happens.

Stated no mustard or pickles and to add mayo. Neither of those were done. This isn't the first time this location hasn't completed an order as requested.

This is consistently the worst WHATABURGER in town!!!! Only reason I give it an opportunity is bc this is the closest to my home. Food is always cold,always long lines and just very chaotic and filthy. I think it's partially bc they have nobody over the age 25 working there. Unfortunate, that the McDonald's up the street has become better than a whataburger. We're living in the end times.

There are Whataburger restaurants all over SA, but this is the one we visit most. Very quick service and always fresh ingredients. I judge restaurants by how good their iced tea is - this Whataburger makes good tea. Not a lover of styrofoam but it does keep the ice longer under the hot Texas sun. Also less sweating into the cup holder. Double drive-thru moves things along and prices are reasonable for what some call the best burger in town. Try the grilled chicken sandwich for an item that would satisfy a child or save an adult from getting hangry. The sauce is delicious and compliments the sandwich Open 24 hours

The service is amazing... the food, is alright... (over all 2.5 stars, but I'll give them 3 because the people are so nice!) On the way to the airport, my friends and I had to try "whataburger". What a great name for a burger place. We passed several en route to our several destinations and began playing around with how to say it... WHAT? A Burger? What a, Burger? What... a BURGER!!! You get the idea. Anyway, I got a jalapeno burger combo. The "medium" drink was 32oz! Holy cow! It also came with fries that were pretty good. The burger was about the size of my hand. It had a thin beef patty, with jalapenos, lettuce and tomato. I found that the bun was way too thick for the meat. In order for this burger to have a good meat to bread ratio, it really should have at least 2 patties. My friend ordered the patty melt and although it was a little smaller in terms of size, the meat to bread ratio looked perfect. He was quite happy with his meal (which also included onion rings). The service was amazing. There is something about Texas service. When you order here, you get a number and they bring the food to you. We were given ketchup and napkins with the meal. A little later on, as we were eating, one of the employees came over and asked if we wanted refills on our soda. I've NEVER been to any fast food place where I've seen that happen. My friends and I looked at each other and were in a pleasant shock. People here are just nice! I do have to say, not too long after this, I saw a commercial for Whataburger. They deliver exactly what they promise. And if I saw this commercial before I ate here, I would have probably either gotten a double patty burger or the patty melt.

Back in Texas and yup!! Had to have my Whataburger. As always amazing. So much better than in and out. Wish they had them in Cali. Will be back in a couple of months and will definitely go back to.

This is the second Whataburger I have been inside in four days, the other one on Nacogdoches Road near O'Connor, and at both locations I've been met with dirty, greasy floors. For a company that wants to expand nationwide they look like they're having a hard time keeping up with the excellent standards they've long delivered. If somebody is looking for a 'payday' and all that's delivered is another disappointing 'Jack in the Box' then nothing will have been gained.

They got my Oder completely wrong asked for a burger instead I got mushy cold fries and 3 chicken strips the food tasted really bad I told the manager and he did not care one but I didn't even care and would not refund it NEVER EATING HERE AGAIN!

I love whataburger because the smell matches that of my sweaty armpits after a long day at the gym. The nice spicy smell of grease and minimum wage, AHHHH, how I love it. Sometimes, before I eat my avocado bacon burger, I give it a nice rub on my underarm for extra flavor and texture. I recommend this for anyone else who appreciates the sweet scent and flavor of my body odor. I will season your burger with my voluptuous underarm bush for the low price of 69.99. Thank you whataburger for fulfilling my dreams.

phoebe or whatever her name was very impatient and RUDE! wanted to give attitude when we asked for a new lid because the one she put on our OVERFLOWING cups was broken and didn't have a straw hole. if she hates her job that much then maybe she should be in the back where she can throw her tantrums in private.

There was a lady and she was very rude I didn't catch her name she was kinda short and a little on the heavy side Hispanic for sure. I asked for ketchup as she was already helping me then she rolled her eyes and told me to "wait" then went to another table to help them instead! After she came back she said "I only have 4 ketchups" meaning if me and my friends needed more she wouldn't get it. One of the cashiers accidentally got my order wrong. The same lady that was rude to me and my friends made my burger. While making the burger she was laughing with her co workers and pointing at it! It looked pretty suspicious and I am worried she did something nasty to my food. Then the guy that gave me my burger kept laughing at me while handing it to me adding to my suspicion. He was a chubby Hispanic, but he wasn't so short and had a really messy uniform and really messy hair. Made me wonder how clean he kept his hands while making food. I love whataburger and this is one of the locations I mainly visited, but after today there is no way I'm going back. I felt ashamed for being there I knew they were laughing at me and my friends and I didn't know what we did that made her angry other than asked for some ketchup. Also the food tasted old especially my fries.

I had the Avocado Bacon burger, it was pretty good. I would definitely come back again. The coffee is good.

I'm a California girl, but had to hit up this SAT staple while I was in town. I love the variety of the menu and the fries were on point! The portions - whoa! Definitely share-able! The burger itself was just ok. I like that they have a few toppings options (jalapeño and cheese for me!), but the bun was pretty blah (In n Out has clearly ruined me). Worth a stop, but happy to be back in LA with my beloved double doubles.

This is my first time coming to Whataburger! My friends told me that the best time to go is around midnight and I did. I waited in line for about 40 minutes in the drive-through. What was I thinking?!! I was falling asleep waiting in the drive-through...

We have been visiting Whataburger regularly for many years. This was the worst experience we have had. Ordered the Avocado bacon burger. The company picture is on thick Texas toast. The actual sandwich was on thin bread. The person who delivered it said that's how it came. Looked like a burger I would make at home if I had no buns. Not worth the price. We refused the offer to get another burger made the same way but refused. The crust in the spicy chicken sandwich was limp and not crispy. They remade it and it was crispy.

Love the whataburger off of Babcock. Wonderful staff and very clean and a great atmosphere. Everytime I go in or go threw drive threw always greeted with a smile and asked how my day is going. What a great atmosphere. And love the mushroom swiss burger and Avacoto burger.

Whoa!! Why is everything so salty?! Fries cold! I could barely eat anything...literally. Very nice staff...I just can't really believe anyone here in management cares on what's going out..just here for eight or more hours. I absolutely loved whattaburger by moving away and now coming back to horrible!!! I'm in absolute disgust and less than anyone caring, bc I was spoken to in complete disregard to my very disgusting complaint and made me feel like it was my fault. Crazy.

The food was good. The reason for the low stars was due to one of the cooks handling food with his bare hands. All of the other employees were wearing glove except the guy handling the meat. I returned a burger cause it didn't have cheese in it and I saw him grab some cheese after touching raw meat with his hands and hand it to another lady to put on my burger. I asked why he didn't have gloves on and they didn't know why. I saw he put gloves on after I said something.

I came to this whataburger. The line was long. I ordered on the mobile app before anybody. After i ordered, my food took the hours to prepare even though the long line disappeared.

They are sooooo slow. Ordered ahead and we've been waiting for 30 minutes. Line is always long. If they mess up your order you have to get back in line and wait an extra 30 minutes.

If you're in Texas, give it a go! Saw this place and I had to try it because 1. the girl that works with me, who's a native Texan, raves about it, 2. the girl on the plane sitting next to me recommended it, 3. I had to try it, try something new. Overall thought: I came here twice and tried to two different things from the menu. The first thing was the number 1, cheese burger w/onion rings and spicy ketchup. The burger was straight but not OMG good and it's different from In N out, the people that recommended this place said it was similar to In N out and so did others I talked to, but I didn't find any similarities. It was good and just worth a try. The second thing I tried was the honey chicken biscuit with a side of fries. I actually liked this better and f.y.i these fries taste like McDonald's fries. Place: This place looks like most fast food places, the staff was pretty nice and when my order was up they brought it over and offered condiments. Worth giving it a try, Enjoy! Open 24/7

This whataburger has the worst service ever! First, employees complaining about their job Second, drink was pouring all down my cup And third, order was wrong (asked for no onions and got extra onions) & burger was overflowed with mustard. Not the first time this happens.

This unit stands out from any other I've been to. Lunch time on a Saturday, these guys made me a perfect customized grilled cheese and had my order to me in minutes. Y'all ROCK.

Found this location on yelp while looking for a late night dinner. I've seen this place all over Texas. Glad we stopped in. Food was hot and good. They redid the fries after they arrived cold. Our cashier was Jen. She was polite and helpful. Hope to try another Whataburger soon before leaving Texas area.
