Whataburger

It was chaotic, but the staff was trying their best. My sandwich was a hot mess and not in a good way. It was mashed together like someone sat on it, one sad wilted piece of lettuce and the smallest tomato ever. My fries were cold and old. The only thing right was my coke easy ice.

My double meat today was underdone. The center of the patties was pinkish. I tore it out. It tasted better after I reconstructed it. Why the hurry at 2pm?

If I could give zero stars I would. Lazy employees and the food was not good. The sodas were all flat, we ordered 3 different kinds. The food honestly was terrible. The fries were cold and stale. This location used to be great. I would avoid it at all costs now. It gives all other Whataburger locations a bad name.

It's a decent Whataburger the service is ok and the food is good. The building just needs a face lift. I never really have a bad a experience here. The order I always right and food is hot. Those are the important things. Whataburger sells patties individually for those that are on carnivore diet they have great flavor and are always fresh.

Absolutely the worst location. Every time I place a mobile order ahead of time to pick up I still end up waiting 20-30 minutes beyond scheduled pick up time to get order. To many kids working that are more worried about yapping and playing on phones than taking care of customers.

I ordered a taquito and can't even eat it because the man who served it to me had the LONGEST most disgusting fingernails with dirt all inside of them. So gross please teach your employees about hygiene when handling food I am so sick to my stomach

Good customer service and very good food

I had a problem around April 8 I don’t live in the area. I am visiting from Maryland stopped by yesterday. They treated me very disrespectful. Had me there for 32 minutes and still got nothing done. I have my receipt and the manager was giving me the runaround. My name is in the office. I called when I had the problem. I felt very disrespected. I do not appreciate how they treated me. I can’t believe they did that very letdown by Whataburger you gotta do better.

Nathan was waiting on me at the drive through w a smile and was efficient and pleasant to talk to. My #8 w cheese is always on point! I love Whataburger!

My family and I have eaten hamburgers and their chicken strips are great too. This is the place to go when you just want to get something fast and you can eat in or get it to go. I love the drive-in service and the people are always really nice

Service was slow, got attitude from front counter. Hamburger was warm, went home and warmed it you in microwave. Fries soggy. Even manager wad in on the foul language coming from the kitchen toward staff.

The GREAT DEBATE will always be... Who has a better hamburger??? Whataburger vs. In N Out... my verdict is it all depends on where you are from Yelpers and fellow Burger lovers. The Hungry Hardhat was raised in SoCal so naturally I would pick In N Out. That being said for the past 8 months I have taken a much liking to my local Whataburger in Texas City... always ordering my usual Dbl meat burger with cheese, fries and of course a chocolate shake. The service is amazing especially if Ms. D is working the counter. I have decided to stand on neutral ground on this review... both Whataburger and In N Out make amazing burgers and I hope you enjoy the burgers no matter what side you may choose. So let it be written... So let it be EATEN!

Cold food, Excessive oil /grease on Onion Rings, ... I have been a customer since the mid 1980's. Never in my life have I encountered cold food, greasy and cold onion rings. What is wrong with the Texas City Whataburger? This place can't get their act together. I have complained and complained. Still today it is the same complaint.

Never seen such a long line, for what. Food ain't even good either. Line stretches to Galveston because the people inside can't get their stuff together. Terrible service, don't come here if you actually wanna eat anytime soon. If you've got time to burn though? Couldn't choose a better spot if you just wanna get out of the house and do fuckall

Good luck getting the correct food after waiting in a 2 car line for an hour. Food is never right, sauce always missing, and you're waiting in line for a minimum of 20min.

I have received the wrong meal around April 8. I am from Maryland just got in town that day so Easter I am visiting with my family. I by to get my order fixed with the receipt The manager refuses to go into the office to check for my name. She was not a good worker. For Whataburger, so I left with nothing so I feel ripped off will never go back to this Whataburger. If you do, please check your food and your receipt make sure everything's right.

New Bacon Steakhouse burger is really really good. Please put this on list of favorites to be brought back. Love it

Love this place! As long as the recently fired manager isn't rehired. The food was hot and the fries were so good. Perfectly salted and the bacon burger hit the spot.

Worst Whataburger I've ever been to. Honey butter chicken biscuit was so tough I couldn't eat it. It had to be a couple of days old.

Service is awful. While waiting for curbside, the runner came up to deliver drink and we asked for spicy ketchup and was completely ignored.

Mike the Manager is A1!!! He went above and beyond to make sure that my coworker and I had breakfast. My order was made incorrectly and I had to clock in with no time to bring the food back. Our clinic is right across the street and we order all the time. He drove us our food and saved the day. We work 12 hours and needed the food to start our day out right!!!! I wanted to leave this review on the Whatburger site but couldn't figure out how, so if you can please share with them!!!

I don't ever say anything bc I don't want to be a Karen and the workers are decently pleasant but the last 3 times I've gotten food from here multiple things about my order have been wrong or missing altogether . missing drinks/sides/wrong flavor etc . I get they might be stressed as they seem to get fairly busy but like just double check idk it's frustrating :/

Pretty decent burger from this southern franchise, and it can customized to your liking. I had a double burger ($4.29) with cheese. Add a chocolate shake on a hot day, and it's nap time afterwards (I wished!).

Pros: We like the food at this Whataburger and the staff is generally very nice. Cons: They stopped opening a second line at 11 at lunch time in the drive thru so the delay is much longer than it used to be. The pot holes in the drive thru are terrible!!!!!

To start off the team is very nice and professional. I had the patty melt and it was very good. There other three had a burger. Two of them liked the burger. The third one said that he's was dry. Everyone liked the fries.

My son is playing in a baseball tournament near here. Came in for breakfast and was greeted by the nicest worker. In fact, everyone here was very nice and personable to the entire family. The workers cleaned and picked up when no one was ordering. Food came out in about 10 min and everything was cooked to Whataburger perfection! Saw a lot of so so reviews about this place but we will come back next time we are passing through!

they're getting better than what they used to be. I never understood why they were so damn slow compared to other Whataburgers. But my daughter and i went there the other night after her game and they were surprisingly quick and very friendly with great customer service. I hope they keep it up i love me some Whataburger!

I love this Whataburger location! I usually will stop here on the way to work and get a burger. The people at this location are always so friendly and my food has always been consistently good!!! I'll keep coming back, it's just really hard to beat a good old Whataburger cooked and done the way you order it!!! It doesn't matter what time of day or night you come here, it's usually always busy! Good service counts, and the people that work here are always on they're game!

Normally I wouldn't write a review for a chain like this, but this location was FANTASTIC! I had some time to kill around 11:30 on a Tuesday so I dined in the restaurant, which I rarely do. This was the most attentive and polite staff of any Whataburger I have ever been too. I was greeted immediately, and Connie was on top of the needs of every customer.

Yikes. Don't go here. Jack in the Box and Sonic are right down the road and will give you 100% better service.

Drive thru staff was very polite! Right up there with Chick-fil-A service. The only downside was we ordered an unsweet tea but was given sweet.

I love Whataburger in general, but I hate this location. They always forget something in our order. We always check before we drive off now. Today, of course they forgot one of our fries. When we got home, the fries were very soggy and not very tasty. The gravy in both my son and daughter's kids chicken strips did not move. It was solid and had a strange color to it. I threw it out! We only live a few blocks away from the restaurant. It shouldn't be this disgusting. I should have known better than to go to this location. It's just I didn't want to drive all the way out of town to go to a good whataburger. I haven't been to this location in a few months, I guess I shouldn't have taken my chances.

Pathetic! The line moves like no one cares inside. The food is cold by the time you get it. Came here twice and got stuck in line for 25 minutes both times! I'm done here! Amazed they stay in business with lazy slow employees

What can I say? It's Whataburger! The best burgers in the world. My favorite meal is a double whataburger with cheese, onion rings and a chocolate malt. Usually I get an apple pie to go. The patty melt is great and so is the grilled chicken sandwich on wheat bun. Oh, breakfast. Not another fast food place on earth where you can get biscuits and gravy. The Breakfast on a Bun is to die for and their jalapeno cheddar biscuits are delicious. I would recommend to anybody that has never been there. Only in Texas.

Waited in line for 20 minutes and when I arrived home (less than 2 min away) my meal was completely wrong and ice cold. When I called to try and resolve the issue the employee stated "if you waited in line for 20 minutes and got cold food we are obviously short staffed" and proceeded to hang up on me. As someone who has worked in food/customer service for 10+ years her response was absolutely appalling. I love the food but I will never visit this location again.

The drive thru can be VERY SLOW at times. But other than that the employees and customer service make up for the drive thru.

Always fast and fresh! You can't ever go wrong with Whataburger, this location is great and I would definitely come again!!

I always like Whataburger, people are friendly here, food was pretty good. The drive thru is very slow even if it's just you. But honestly the friendliness makes up for it. They will sit at the window and have a chat while your food is getting ready. I've not been in so I can't really comment on the cleanliness of the place, they really need to touch up the parking lot and drive thru it's a bit rough in patches.

After years of patronizing the nearby Texas City Whataburger, we made our final visit this past week. Over the years, we were prone to give this location one more chance, discontinue our visits for months, return to see if the food was any better, and finally determined that we are punishing ourselves by returning to this franchise. Inevitably the burgers and bread are cold, vegetables practically nonexistent, fries limp and barely warm, and shakes runny. On a plus side, the employees are super friendly and we never experienced inordinately long waits regardless of the time of our visits.

Trash. Trash. Trash. They stay getting my order wrong. Smh. I always say it's my last time going, but I love whataburger. Instead of having conversations in the front you need to be making sure people orders are correct! - Wilcox

Food is good when they get it right which is a rare occasion. Make sure to check your bag every time before you leave. Drive through wait times have gotten terrible. 25-30 minutes with one car in front of you? Come on!

Whataburger? More like whatthehelldidijusteat. The meat was still raw and the fries were just ugh. Maybe you should get tips from the superior McDonalds chain, you would not make me have unnecessary bowel movements in my pants. Gee... thanks

I go pretty much every Sunday around 7:00 a.m. for my weekly Whataburger "fix"! Today I went and surprisingly my burger was ready in less than 5 minutes. I knew something was wrong and sure enough when I got to work there was. The bun was not fresh and the cheese was not melted like it normally is. Not sure who the cook was; but I do know it wasn't the normal "guy" I see back there. I think it might have been a female manager. Anyway, I will be calling tomorrow morning to complain. All the other times I have been there it has been fresh and perfect! Why screw up something that could cost the business customers? Makes no sense to me at all.

Whataburger can be hit or miss, depending on the location. This location is a hit - consistent service and quality of food. This location has been here since the mid-70's and has seen a lot of business over the years. It was remodeled in about 2000 - they even set up a temporary food wagon to continue serving people during the remodeling.

Read!!!! Reviews!!! If you want fresh food then go to the busy locations with lines!!! Cooks are Not trained on sanitation..The management had the audacity to permit a cook to reuse, reheat old meat to an 18mth. old!!!! I have been to other locations but something was up with this one.. To start few customers & my baby incorrect order came out as a cold hamburger with mustard... So when my toddlers cheeseburger plain came out it was quick & warm with dark brown with dry edges!!!! He didn't want to eat it so I tasted and it was Bad!!!! I'm Grateful he did Not eat his burger...The taste of his burger was strange which I concluded via quick, warm, dry dark edges and weird taste that he was served a reused old patty....It had a burnt, dry, but cold odd taste.. My burger too had a sour taste which I thought was the mustard but I think since my patty was cold and via sour taste that it fermented in the mustard.. Disgusting place!!! Management was more upset with new employee not charge via cheese lieu of serving improper food to a child!!! Take your poor management, unsanitary establishment and hire up to date people to Not serve improper food to the public....Throw away all food that is not stored properly And Don't reheat old food and serve to a child....

We went threw the drive threw so we didn't check the order. Big mistake. We got home and our burgers were wrong. Every time we go through drive threw they make our burgers wrong.

The food is amazing and the worker are awesome. They are super nice! I can't wait to come back again when I come to Texas.

Absolutely disgusting, do not eat at this whataburger. I ordered the sweet and spicy burger from here only to bite into it and pull out a long nasty black hair. Now I gave it a chance because I also have some mildly long blackish hair so I looked through my burger to make myself feel better and what do I find... another freaking black hair literally baked into the cheese and meat that I had to give a few tugs to get out!!!! Typical fast food for you. I held Whataburger on a different level than the other fast food places but apparently I was so wrong... Nasty, I can't believe there were two long black hairs. Some gross ratchet needs to wear a hair net in there. Who knows what else I swallowed... and who knows what these other people ordering here have swallowed as well.....

The drive-thru has been very slow every time I've gone through it. I'm usually waiting in line for an average of ten minutes. The food is good, though!

Do not go here if you want your food in a reasonable amount of time. We waited 30 minutes in the drive through. Unacceptable for a fast food joint.

I hardly eat fast food anymore, when I cheat, it's Whataburger. Any Whataburger but this one that is. One word to elaborate why, GHETTO. The staff and service are pitiful.
