"With 15 rooms and 8 suites, this renovated and expanded 1920s hunting lodge immediately impresses, thanks to the gorgeous quality of its stonework—a father-and-son team spent two years just building the wall that lines the driveway. Upstairs, the comforts are decidedly more Mayfair than manor house, with sophisticated lighting, Bang & Olufsen TVs and sound systems, Floris toiletries, goose-down duvets, and pedigreed good looks by a who’s who of interior designers. That said, you’ll often be tempted out of your room here. Set in one of England’s loveliest corners, the hotel has a top-notch spa, two first-rate restaurants (one formal, the other more relaxed, with a wood-paneled ski-chalet decor), and a 40-seat cinema with claret suede walls and leather armchairs."

This is such a special, gorgeous and amazing place. We stayed Friday- Sunday and wanted to experience everything. Starting with afternoon tea which was delicious and served in a gorgeous grand room. We then headed to the spa, excellent facilities, enough people there for atmosphere but not overcrowded which was perfect. I had an amazing massage - lovely knowledgeable and attentive staff. We had dinner in greys that night which was fantastic, lots of choice, hard to choose and delicious food. The next night we had the tasting menu and it was faultless, such a special experience. The staff are very attentive, friendly, personal and they go above and beyond. Quick and efficient service. Beautiful gardens to walk through. The cleanest hotel I've ever stayed at, credit to the cleaning staff. 10/10. Can't fault it.

I had a wonderful stay at Whatley Manor. The staff were truly exceptional—friendly, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile. The food was outstanding, with every meal beautifully presented and full of flavor. The grounds are absolutely stunning, offering a peaceful and picturesque setting that's perfect for a relaxing getaway.||Service throughout our stay was top-notch—seamless and professional in every way. The spa, while enjoyable, could benefit from a bit of an upgrade to match the high standards set by the rest of the property. That said, it didn’t detract too much from an otherwise excellent experience.||Overall, a fantastic place to unwind with excellent service, great dining, and beautiful surroundings. Highly recommended!

Visited Whatley Manor for a birthday treat for my wife. Whatley Manor is an exceptional place. We stayed in the lovely room 1. Set over 2 floors with 2 bathrooms. Yes it is pricey but really felt special and luxurious. The staff simply can’t do enough to make your visit memorable. We enjoyed the tasting menu on the Friday evening. It’s was just amazing, The kitchen made a bespoke menu for me as I don’t eat fish. It’s these little touches that made our visit so special. The spa is a just beautiful and a real oasis of relaxation. The hotel is surrounded but beautiful gardens and a lovely patio where you can enjoy a drink or a meal. The staff at the hotel are some of best I have experienced and are a real credit to the hotel. We will definitely return.

Whatley Manor Hotel and Spa advertise themselves as dog friendly. I've been to many so called dog friendly hotels but their not. Whatley truly is dog friendly. They can't do enough for our Great Dane dog. Couple this with the best hotel for luxury, comfort and customer service. The hotel and gardens are stunning. I can not recommend this hotel strongly enough to you all. To the staff at the fantastic Whatley Manor Hotel and Spa thank you. We will definitely be coming here again.

I booked the Spacation which includes access to the spa and wonderful hotel facilities. The room was spacious, light and very comfortable with beautifully crisp bed linens and a comforting warm bathroom with Molton Brown products. ||The gardens are second to none. Truly superb and magical, from formal lawns to stunning planted borders, a cottage garden, copious blossom trees, water features and it is dog-friendly too. The focus is on sustainability which is wonderful. The hotel has its own bee hives too. ||The restaurant (Grays) offers a superb Sunday lunch and breakfasts are delicious and cooked to order with the addition of fresh juices and homemade Bircher muesli. ||The lounge offers a cosy place to have a relaxed meal, drink or simply read a book - there are plenty of board games on offer too whilst you sink into the velvet sofas in a beautiful panelled room. You can opt to have tea here with double aspect windows and views out to the gardens. ||A must-do is afternoon tea. We enjoyed it in the garden with glorious weather. Plus the spa is a divine distraction with relaxing beds facing the beautiful gardens. The treatments are restorative and the spa pool is relaxing and invigorating at the same time. ||I cannot wait to come back again.

A wonderful, relaxing stay and it won’t be our last. |We enjoyed and appreciated an upgrade and the room and bed was wonderful. The spa is one of the best and we were lucky with the weather. I was although underwhelmed with the lack of extras in the changing room of a high end spa (cotton buds etc) and overwhelmed with the row of Dyson hairdryers!|I did feel that the toasted sandwich lunch could have been a bit extra for the cost (just had 3 curly leaves).|The only disappointment was our evening meal, where the male staff member kept trying to remove ours and other guests plates before we had finished our tapas style dishes.|He was very closely watching over our close tables and it all felt a bit uncomfortable for most of the meal…. He may have been in training, so hopefully this will be addressed.|This won’t put us off a return visit to this beautiful hotel
