Where to Eat In-Season Peaches in Portland | Eater Portland

"At What's the Scoop I tried the Peaches and Scream ice cream, developed with help from Rose City Pepperheads: it combines Pacific Northwestern peaches with peppadew and habanero peppers for a little sweet heat." - Brooke Jackson-Glidden

This ice cream is delicious, so many flavors my favorite is key lime pie right now and mint a close second. You can sample flavors and try new ones. They have benches and they have a rewards system which I love.! The staff are so friendly and welcoming. They even give out free Christian pamphlets, God bless them for that!

What's the Scoop is a nice new and friendly ice cream shop with some very yummy homemade ice cream flavors like Cannoli and Cookie Monster. They also have soft serve ice cream and water ice. Their specialty sundae menu includes Jess's cookie jar and the Vickster Delight which is made with fried homemade pound cake. Of course you can also get a waffle cone, a cup or a good old banana split! 🍌

Excellent Ice Cream and Excellent Service! Our family had a difficult night the night before my daughter and I tried this place out. Our dog was acting odd and seemed to be in a lot of pain; we were afraid he would not be coming back home with us when we came to visit the nearby Petcheck urgent pet care center, but things turned out better than expected. To celebrate the good news my daughter (who had been very distraught about possibly losing her pup) visited What's The Scoop for the first time. Stacey, the owner, let my daughter (11) go in a pick her ice cream while I watched our dog outside. She came out with a huge mint chocolate chip and an even bigger smile. I went in and talked with Stacey for a while as I picked my ice cream. This ice cream shop is a new adventure for her that she started just a few months ago. I asked what her suggestion was and went with it; I got the Cannolis & Cream and it was great! I can't wait to stop by again! Try this place out! Come back and try all their flavors! Support this great local business!

We've been here a few times and this is definitely one of our favorite ice cream places in the area. The Chocolate Peanut Butter is so good! That's my go-to flavor and I can say this is one of the best I've tried. The place is also very cute inside, well kept, and clean. There's also plenty of space for inside seating. It would be nice to have some tables outside (not sure if there's a reason why there aren't any out there). I also love that they give the proceeds of their pup cups to a local shelter, such a nice idea! P.S. we tried the other new local shop and this is better 😉

Last night was our first time there. I am posting a review because I have never tasted a peanut butter ice cream so good in my life! So incredibly yum! My husband had the bubble waffle with caramel pretzel ice cream and devoured it. This ice cream tastes different than other ice cream. Definitely will be back!

What's the Scoop is a great place to get ice cream. The waffle bowls are awesome, and they have so many flavors and toppings. My kids and I loved everything we got. I can't wait to go back and try something else. Also, the staff is super friendly and quick.

Google
Amazing ice cream shop, I brought my 18 month old in and they were so kind to him and he ice cream tasted great. The staff is amazing and you can tell they try really hard to keep everything clean and make sure everyone is happy. We came in so far three times since our first visit. Also, the spoons are amazing too, they aren't your normal cheap plastic spoons!

Google
I would highly recommend What's The Scoop. The owner, Stacy, was so kind and accommodating when I reached out about my daughter who has severe food allergies. The shop has thorough cleaning practices and took my concerns very seriously. She was very reassuring and made sure our needs were met. I have yet to find another place in this area who has been so attentive to our needs. She was wonderful and the ice cream was even better!

Yelp
Beautiful new ice-cream shop, but I was disappointed at the slim selection, especially that no frozen yogurt as on the menu. That is my go-to to save on some calories. I was there already, so I just got a small cookies and cream. Very dense and tasty. This is my favorite ice-cream flavor of all time! (others are heavenly hash and birthday cake). Decent prices but I wouldn't go back.

Yelp
Happened on this place by mistake as we left neighboring pizza stop. The staff was so friendly and welcoming sharing their favorites and telling us about the homemade ice cream even despite they were close to closing time. The staffers offered samples to taste however we opted to dive right in. They have a great selection of classic flavors and some more complex flavors. I went for one scoop of banana ice cream with chocolate shavings and one scoop of strawberry ice cream. My other half opted for the classic cookies and cream. He commented that the cookies seemed buttery and homemade and not just traditional Oreo cookies. The shop is cheerful and clean and overall friendly service. We definitely recommend trying this place out. Support small business. All in 12.00 including gratuity for 2 . That's a pretty good deal considering it's homemade ice cream. Well done

Yelp
Really nice ice cream shop with good selection of homemade flavors and a friendly staff. Just opened in 2021.

Yelp
Went here for the first time on a Sunday night around 8pm. There was no line, but definitely a few people in there eating. There is a decent amount of seating available and the place is nicely decorated and well-lit. They have a little bit of a science theme going on with some ice cream blueprints and chemical structures hung around. My friend and I both got bubble waffle sundaes. We chose the "create your own" options and we're not disappointed. They're $9.50, but can certainly be split between two people. You definitely get what you pay for in quality and quantity. Would definitely recommend!

Yelp
Permanently closed. Stopped by and not there anymore. Not a thing. Not a shop. Just gone. I needed 85 characters for this review so...

Yelp
We went here on Valentine's Day. It was very clean. They have so many choices. My wife got the smores sundae with bubble waffle, she said it was delicious. I got the Reese's sundae it was good. The service was great & very friendly.

Yelp
This place is great! It's a cute ice cream shop with indoor seating. Their ice cream is amazing. They make all their hand scooped ice cream in house! They also make fresh bubble waffles that are filling. Staff is friendly. They have a huge variety when it comes to their menu options. I go here weekly

Yelp
I don't really like ice cream, but I LOVE this place. Every flavor I've tried has been excellent! Locally owned by a woman! Whoo whoo! Support this business!

Yelp
Best ice cream parlor in town! The ice cream is great the service is great. Don't get me started on the ice cream sandwiches, best ones I've had hands downs!

Yelp
We tried this place today and I'm so happy I found it!! The ice cream was amazing. Honestly, the made to order bubble waffle wasn't even the highlight of the visit. The young man behind the counter was so pleasant, it made this spot even better.

Yelp
Pissed. Drove 20 min here with my daughter and they were closed when they should have been open according to google- it was 2:50pm on a Sunday. I even confirmed with GPS you were open. Something needs fixed with your hours on Google. Nobody's fault really but the mistake should have been addressed and I won't go back because of the aggravation
