The Burren Is Not Closing Despite Planned Development | Eater Boston

The bread looks great and is worth a stop. Lots of flavors that seem worth trying. Will be back to try more Only giving 3 stars because I was a little disappointed with my olive bread. The employee said it was “packed with olives” so I gave it a shot but see photos…

Breads have great flavor so I keep coming back but unfortunately about half the time I get home and cut into the bread only to find the inside is gummy. I’ve had this issue most often with their breads that have mix-ins (which I assume is causing a proofing issue?) but just bought a loaf of Tuscan wheat that was also very gummy and I suspect underbaked. Hoping they fix the baking issue soon as the flavors themselves are lovely!

You defiantly get verities of bread along with different sauce, bagels, donuts etc. The shows toppers are the bread section. I haven’t seen chocolate or walnut bread anywhere else in Somerville. All costs $7 Nice store, humble cashier. Will come back.

I love When Pigs Fly bread! My favs are the Oat and Honey, 6 Grain and Pumpkin Seed, and basically any of the sweet breads! The English Muffin loaf is good too. The staff are all super kind and helpful. I saw some negative reviews on here that find fault with the service, and to them I say: hello? Are you okay? If you can’t get through a bread order (which should be a simple, short interaction I’d say??) without beefing with a staff member, I invite you to consider that *you* might be the problem. :)

Some of the best bread around! The employees here are always so kind and considerate. I had my cat with me today after a vet visit so I couldn’t go into the shop, but they were willing to do the transaction outside, so I still got my delicious sourdough bread!

The donuts here on Saturday are AMAZING. Heads up the donuts are also huge and we could have easily split one. The staff were really friendly and helpful when it came to picking out two donuts - all the choices looked amazing! We will be back!

This is a great bakery for anyone who likes substantial bread. I especially like their savory breads, and unfortunately the bakery has greatly reduced the varieties offered in favor of the sweet breads and desserts. Would have given them five stars if they hadn’t discontinued their 100% Whole Wheat Bread, which was a uniquely healthy and delicious bread, one of s kind on the market.
