One of the most well executed modern dining experiences I've had in HK. Christina and Dino made sure I was welcomed and comfortable throughout the meal. Food was done right per their description and it says a lot, kudos to Chef Barry. Usually modern contemporary Asian meal translates to watered down Asian spices presented in fine dine settings. Chef Barry made sure this was not the case. I have inhaled my fair share of Singaporean food from hawker centers, and to actually experience that none of the distinct Singaporean flavors were lost in the course was praiseworthy. They were highlighted instead in Whey's own way (pun intended). Make sure to try the abalone laksa if you ever visit. The liok teng kek (six layer cake) desert was beautiful and delicious to end the meal. Accompanying the meal was a very thoughtful wine programme. The somms have a good understanding of the flavor profile of each course and what to recommend. If you think of Singaporean spices and wine pairing, even ChatGPT is not a great advisor. TLDR: Amazing food and impeccable service. Will definitely revisit.

Whey gave me one of the best modern dining experiences I ever had in Hong Kong. From the very beginning, the hospitality felt warm but not too formal, and the team explained every dish with passion. The tasting menu shows creativity but also clear flavor balance. I could feel the chef’s personality in each plate. My favorite was the bread course and the final dessert, but honestly everything was memorable. The interior, the pacing, the plating, all felt very thoughtful. This is a restaurant I can recommend with full confidence. A must-visit in Hong Kong for anyone who loves culinary experience more than just eating. ソムリエ、サービススタッフ、シェフもみんな最高でした。

food was amazing. really did an amazing job integrating south eastern asian ingredients into western techniques. we enjoyed almost every dish. the sommelier was also friendly, knowledgeable and professional. zs group always delivers the highest quality of food! however, the service from one of the waiters (i think her name is tina?) was so bad that even the great food couldn’t compensate. she literally dropped plates on our table and never smiled or said anything even when we said thank you to her. fine, just a little cold but not a big problem. then when she served us the dessert (again she was literally banging the plates in front of us) she started by “so this dessert..” then she dashed to another table to greet the guests who just got seated. we were left flabbergasted: are we supposed to wait for her to come back and continue or what?! and as she moved on to introduce the menu to that table we realized she probably wouldn’t come back and we started eating. Halfway through she seemed to finally have remembered us so she came by and asked: so, do you still need me to go through the dessert? … what a question lol. no dear, you’ve already ruined it. also, i’m not sure if long nails and manicure is professional in f&b service. it could be perfectly hygienic but it did make me uncomfortable too.

Always a fan of Chef Berry's cuisine since Beet time. Finally got the chance to visit his new establishment during my recent visit to HK and the food is still amazing. Full of flavors and tastefully put together which brings Singaporean flavor to a new level. The brioche is to die for! Pairing was nicely done and service from Christian was excellent as usual. Highly recommended.

My first experience with Singaporean cuisine was quite surprising and delightful. The food was beautifully presented, and the staff were both professional and attentive. The restaurant was more than willing to accommodate my pregnancy dietary requirements, which made me feel included in the dining experience. I recommend introducing a few blended dishes, as the Southeast Asian spices can become a bit overwhelming towards the middle of the menu. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience. Thank you!

As far as a mich place goes, this one is alright. Flavours were executed quite decently, some surprises like the sambal that came w the rice which was very aromatic, but not without faults at all ofc. Relative to the mich places I've had in the past year, this one was a bit more forward w the flavours. If you have to visit a Michelin place for some reason, this is a decent option, although not cheap for what you're getting

I recently had a pleasant dining experience with my husband at Whey. The food is super delicious and each dish is very unique and well-presented. My favourite dishes are Sotong tartlet and Whey's Buah Keluak Mi Pau. The tartlet is so refreshing with green apple and caviar. Also, the staff are nice and introduced every dish professionally. Last but not least, they have very good photography skills. Super thanks to the manager Dino and the lady with glasses who served us. We really enjoyed the food and ambiance at Whey. Will definitely visit again
