WhichCraft Tap Room & Bottle Shop is a great find whether you’re looking for a relaxed place to work, enjoy a quality latte, or explore unique craft beverages. I stopped by primarily for coffee and a few hours of focused work, and it delivered on both fronts. The Wi-Fi is fast and reliable, making it an easy spot to settle in with a laptop. The coffee menu is surprisingly strong, with some creative specialty options. The orange blossom latte was a standout—smooth, aromatic, and memorable enough that I’d go back just for that. Beyond coffee, this place clearly shines as a craft beer destination. If you enjoy discovering distinctive brews, you’ll appreciate their thoughtfully curated selection. What makes the shop feel special is its boutique-like beverage collection. You’ll find drinks here that typically aren’t available in regular grocery stores, which adds a fun element of discovery every time you visit. It feels very much like a well-run one-person operation, and the barista deserves credit for that. He was friendly, attentive, and provided genuinely great service without making the experience feel rushed. There’s plenty of seating to relax, work, or casually meet up with someone, and they also carry packaged sandwiches and breakfast tacos if you need a quick bite. Overall, WhichCraft strikes a nice balance between coffee shop, craft beer haven, and neighborhood hangout. A solid 4-star spot that’s definitely worth checking out if you enjoy unique drinks and a laid-back atmosphere.

Bought these two bad boys (pic) for almost $30. Was rung up by a complete slob that couldn't be bothered to say hi or greet me. In fact sort of made a show of the fact that I was putting him out in some sort of way by waiting patiently at the cashier. Got to hand it to this place though - they have a great selection of beers. Seriously though the guy that rung me up - bro you need to put some effort in. Also, at least attempt to look presentable.

As an amateur beer connoisseur, this place is the hallowed ground! Seriously, what a concept....hard to find beers from everywhere in one place. The craft beer selection is staggering. Most are available to purchase as singles, so you can mix and match. The staff is SO welcoming and helpful!! On our visit it was a bit too early for beer plus I was driving back to San Antonio, so we opted for coffee drinks which were excellent! I have been trying to get here for years and finally made it. I'm really glad I did. The area and the place itself is so relaxed. When I'm back in Austin, I will be back begging them to take my money. If you like good beer or coffee, check them out - you won't regret it.

I come here multiple times a week after work. I know everyone who works here. I am a beer nerd/snob. Started coming during previous ownership, and I’ll keep coming under the new. Depending on who’s serving you, you will get different levels of beer knowledge, but it’s generally higher than the average person. They have an excellent selection on tap, in the fridges, and on the walls. I can always find an ‘old faithful’ or something new to try. The old owners were super knowledgeable, had great connections with exciting breweries and kept new beer coming in. The new owner is not as knowledgeable but has kept the same connections via the old owners and the current gm. Some changes to the older vibe have been noticeable but such is the nature of retail, and you can decide to let change scare you off or you can roll with it and keep on enjoying this place like I do. This tucked away joint in the middle of mueller park offers a great buzz. From their vast options of tapped brews to their 75ft bottle and can wall, you’ll for sure find what you’re itching for. The atmosphere is mellow, trendy and satisfying. The staff is super knowledgeable and eager to help you find what you’re looking to drink.

Love this place! The owner and staff are all great people, food and coffee are fantastic, and the atmosphere is incredibly inviting. Awesome spot to grab a coffee and work or enjoy a pint with friends. A Mueller staple for sure!

The vibe and selection of craft beers and wines is amazing. The food is great too. Also they have a patio that is a great place to hang with groups of friends. A big plus is easy parking as well. 10/10 recommend

Whichcraft is a great neighborhood hangout spot. There is plenty of comfortable seating indoors and on their patio. I've gone in the middle of the day to do some reading or work and at night to hangout with friends. The staff is super friendly and very knowledgeable about their beers. And they have quite a beer collection! They have at least 25 taps that they rotate with local and out of state beers as well as a wall of those fancy big bottled beers. Also also, don't skip their coffee set up. Both their black drip and fancy lattes put coffeehouse coffee to shame. And they have an excellent food menu. If you haven't tried it out yet, please do.

Great place to stop by if you're walking around Mueller. The vibes were very lowkey on a Thursday, could potentially be crazier on the weekend. They have a lot to choose from with their beer selection, they also have wine, coffee and teas.

I love this place. My favorite beer type is sours. They have the best selection of unique cans and flavors. I always find new ones to try every visit. I go there about every 6 weeks. There is nothing better than an icy cold sour after volunteering at an outdoor food bank to refresh yourself. I have never tried any of the items on tap however people seem to enjoy them when I come in. I've seen people playing games when I've come in too. Go check this place out In Mueller. My husband and I live close to here and wanted to check out a place we had not been to before in the Mueller area. We had called prior to coming here. They have some food, coffee, wine, cider, and beer. You are allowed to bring in your own food and there is plenty of space to chill with your friends and or hang out by yourself. I was happy to see that the cider on draft had two options! The bartender was super knowledgeable and explained both ciders to me. I ended up liking his favorite unbeknownst to me which I guess is not as popular to the general public. Overall a cool place to check out. I would like to come here one day for some coffee in the morning. Other reviews said that is also solid.

If you are into microbreweries and trying out unique beers this may as well be a candy store for you. Good selection on tap, very chill indoor and outdoor setting, there's some games to enjoy. Of course the crown of the place is the great selection of beers to buy and take home! Never had the food here but you're not coming here for that, though they do have some grilled cheese sandwiches and bagels.

Fantastic bottle shop/taproom in the Mueller area. Super knowledgeable and friendly staff. A customer noticed my Motor City Gas Whiskey t shirt and could not say enough nice things about Up North Michigan as she just got back from a week there. A great beer experience.

Extremely friendly staff and very eager to help find a beer you like. They have some excellent beers on tap. I love their atmosphere even though the parking can be a challenge. On another note they carry the pretzels I love.

So many beer options! I love coming here for single cans so that I can try all sorts of different breweries and styles. The staff is knowledgeable so don't be afraid to inquire about anything you see. On my latest visit I purchased some non alcoholic beers for the first time. There were just a few to pick from in the cooler by the register. Most of what's in stock is on the shelf but there are some coolers with beer if you want to drink them soon. They do have a bar with a few seats and some beer on tap if you want to drink on-site. They also have several tables (and a few tables outside along the street) so you can hang out and watch TV or play some games.

WhichCraft is a great neighborhood tap room with a wide selection of beer canned and on tap. They also have coffee, wine, and food available. There is plenty of space inside and outside with the perfect chill vibes to relax with friends. The bartenders are very knowledgeable, samples are allowed, and 3 different glass sizes available if you feel like trying a bunch of different drinks.

Oh do I love taprooms and Whichcraft is awesome!! Daily happy hour selections. And a wall full of shelves lined with unique beers and wines. They also have bottles and cans stored in fridges. We ended up trying some beers on tap and bought 12 cans. Super excited to try them. If you like sours, come here!

We stopped in here after dinner one night for a few drinks. Its pretty small but they have board games to play while you enjoy your drinks. They have a decent variety on tap but a HUGE selection of bottles and cans to choose from for there or to go. All of their beer, wine, seltzer and ciders are from local/texas owned companies and they are beautifully organized by the type of beverage they are on the shelves making it really easy to find fun new options that you'll love! Their pricing was also really great! We shared a flight of fruited beers and sours for around $20 and got 2 sour seltzers and a bottle of Prosecco to take home. The seltzers were $2 each I believe and the Prosecco was around $20. We will definitely be back!

We love stopping here after walking the Donkey dog around the lake. The additional outdoor seating is great too. What prompted this review was our experience this afternoon. After taking a single sip of our pints, our dog who was tied to the table, saw a squirrel and quickly overturned our table and our delicious beverages. The bartender, who is typically there when we are and is always helpful, gave us 2 fresh pints on the house.

Great selection of beers in bottles and tap, great environment to chill out with friends or work with a laptop, and surprisingly, fantastic sandwiches! They have several beers for every style on tap. There's no way you won't find something to drink. I ordered the ham sandwich and I wanted to order it again because it was so good!! With how they prepared it on the panini press, it came out like a fancy grilled cheese! Decent amount of thick ham, gooey cheese, crunchy buttery sourdough bread, and some pickled peppers that really cut through all the fat! I was in the mood for a sandwich that day, and I didn't think this place would satisfy my itch so well!

I've only been to WhichCraft two or three times but already I'm really loving the concept! Their tap beer selection is varied and very well categorized which makes it easy for those of us who have a very picky palate to pick the right beer. I'm also a fan of their to-go bottled beer selection as I enjoy discovering new beer and having the option of drinking it later at home, without having to commit to a whole 6-pack. Staff is always friendly and helpful, and the ambiance is very chill and cozy. WhichCraft is well located in front of a nice park in Mueller, only steps away from coffee shops and the best movie theater in town (IMO!) It's definitely one of my favorite casual beer shops in the city. I recommend!

You know when the place is cozy and it's also filled with a bunch of beers you have never heard ! That's the place . Friendly staff and cool beers! We will be back ! Trust us ! We love drinking beers even in the winter !

This place is nice to go to after work hours and chill. The wall of all the different beers is impressive. The staff was very friendly and knew all about the beers on the chalkboard. This particular night was challenging for the bartender because ppl just kept spilling drinks lol. It took all in stride and gave good customer service. In all, it's not a really cozy, comfortable place I personally like to chill at but it's a nice venue nonetheless. The prices aren't bad and the staff was awesome.

if you want beer options, this has the ultimate beer options. they have an entire wall of single cans/bottles from all over for every beer lover along with a fridge of chilled f 6-packs. they have a decent draft selection and a coffee bar! a small selection of snacks is also available. they have a non-alcoholic case as well if you are looking for an ipa without the buzz. they also have the holiday beer advent calendars which i have gotten in previous years and it is so much fun! would recommend if in the mueller area and want a drink option for everyone who loves beer.

I love this spot, it's my go to. I come here at least once a week to get out of the house, hangout with the other regulars or a place to discover new beers. They have a revolving taps so you'll always be able to find something you like. The staff is super knowledgeable and relatable. Justin, the General Manager is a wine Guru. If you need a recommendation he the guy to ask for. JB is super cool and personable too. He's a fellow transplant like me and super knowledgeable about beers as well. He's also phenomenal at connecting you with the other regulars at the tap room as well. Overall if you need a good beer spot with good vibes and great people, stop by!

Awesome bottle shop with three solid guys who liked talking beer, food, Texas, and great spots to see in town. As I arrived I was tempted to try the 2017 aged barrel aged pumpkin beer first then the DDH Tupps and then many others that afternoon. A little later I bought a 2016 Alaskan smoked porter to share with the guests at the bar. We also sampled some cans with coo logos like European Vacation terrible beer but fun to try. We were fortunate to meet the dude working at Jester King the next day ! My 200th brewery visited all time. Nice shop. Nice people.

COVID PSA! Whichcraft is now taking curbside pick-up orders! I ordered my boondoggle of delicious craft beers on their website online, then drove there and was able to park right in front. I called them on the phone number they have posted outside and they delivered my goodies straight to my car. There's a great selection of new beers available. So don't go without craft beer during the pandemic or have to resort to domestic lagers....Whichcraft is here to save the day!

Awesome bottle shop and tap room. The bartender was knowledgeable and awesome to talk to. Hige variety of beers to choose from on tapnand in the can or bottle. Deffinitly a must check out establishment.

Really friendly staff and a good variety of canned and bottled beers. Since I'm not a huge drinker, I like that they have the small 5oz sizes. They also serve coffee. The only thing that felt a little awkward is that the coffee menu is on one side and the alcohol menu was on another, leading to two different queues but I suppose you can just leave a tab open ordering alcohol. I think they only had one register so you may have to wait if you're closing your tab immediately upon ordering. Space isn't too big but seemed plenty for a Friday night. They also have a couple tables outside. We didn't notice it until later but they also have a small set of board games as well.

We love coming here for their amazing craft beer selection and creating a six pack to try. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable and you must grab a beer while you there and sit outside if it's a nice day.

Aside from the wordplay moniker, this place is a 3-fer! It has wine, coffee, and beer! There is literally a wall of beer and some of them are rare finds. The draught list runs to gamut from local to national and there were some great beers I have not seen readily available around Austin. It has a very "Mueller" ambiance in that it is industrial meets contemporary in décor. I'm not sure if seating is limited or abundant because there seemed to be an odd rotation of musical chairs happening where people who were standing at the bar drinking after ordering would migrate to tables and vice versa. My friend and I picked a stool and planted. They have pour/pricing options I have not seen before in that they offer 5oz and 10oz pours with various prices per based on the beer. I'm not sure if the somewhat inflated price per pour is because of the area, the rent for their location, or because they are new. But, there was not a "throwaway" beer on tap, so you will at least be getting quality for the price. The staff here is super engaging and beer knowledgeable (I would expect nothing less from a place like this) and the owner/manager was an absolute delight! I would like to come back and explore their wine and coffee options and maybe leave w/a rare beer find from the Wall.

We are beyond thrilled that this location opened at Mueller. It's become our Sunday "get ready for the work week" spot where we bring in our laptops, grab a beer, wine or latte and feel right at home! They have an elaborate selection of craft beers on tap and the list changes frequently. Bring in your growlers and fill them up with your beer of choice to go! I love that they even offer 5 oz pours if you want a nip of something but don't want to commit to a pint. They have tons of beer bottles and cans on the shelf. You can make your own six-pack or grab singles to go. They have a few popular beers in their fridge for you to take cold. Their wine selection on draught is great and they have bottles you can drink too. Wonderful snacks, because you'll want something to munch on ;) The wifi works well. Sucks that most days you have to pay for parking but that's not their fault. I love the staff. They know their beers and they make killer latte art!

If you are looking for a big selection of beer in the Mueller area of Austin, this is a great place to do it. The likelihood of you finding a bottle that you will like is very high and they have a large amount of beer on tap as well, which is great based upon their location. My only complaint with this place is that they are quite expensive... HEB Mueller is one of the coolest grocery stores in Austin and has an insane amount of craft beer (a lot that are here but less). So for being so close to them, I am not sure why they are trying to charge so much. Nevertheless, i would still recommend checking this place out as it is in a cool spot and has a huge selection of craft beer.

Great place to try a lot of different beers. They have three different tap options with the smallest being 5 oz. I opted for a couple of those to try more of that they had. Great beers, great space, great tvs, and great recommendations. Plenty of canned options as well. We'll be back for a casual night of beer tasting.

I got the vanilla 16oz latte. It was smooth, rich, and settling tasted great! It was better than the Starbucks vanilla latte by far. I would definitely come back for the coffee. The service was quick and the employees were helpful. Place had clean restrooms and plenty of tables and seating.

New hot spot alert!! I recently moved to the Mueller area and learned about Witchcraft Tap Room. The place is fantastic. The atmosphere is always just lively enough for people watching, but not too lively to where you can't carry out a conversation with the person that's next to you. And what's not to love about a beer store that has friendly staff, wide open seating, and a welcoming atmosphere? I've only been in the neighborhood for a month, but I can already see this place being like home to me soon. I would highly recommend it and give it a shiny, gold, 10/10 rating. Check it out!

While walking around and exploring Mueller I came across this store. I first I thought it was a liquor store but was a bit different. It was a beer store and hangout for those who work offsite. Looked like they sell every type of craft beer in Austin and everywhere else. They also sell coffee too. It was a pretty cool store and notice they sell mystery bags off beer which could be fine to see what you get.

Don't sleep on this place for wine. They have an incredible selection and super knowledgeable staff. I picked up two bottles last night on a whim and they were both delicious! Texas wineries are represented here too.

I wish I had a place like this walking distance to where I live! WhichCraft Tap Room & Bottle Shop is a coffee/bar with more of a chill coffee shop vibe. The retail selection of beers are impressive with some of Austin's best. The wine selection although small is nice with wines on tap running $5 and bottles starting at $15. They also sell snacky type foods that pair well with beer. When we stopped in I was surprised they had Sputnik still on tap! I found the space very relaxing and appreciate they have a table outside and a water bowl for the pups. On a Saturday evening we were surprised that there were not a lot of folks inside but several people bought brews to go This is a great place to relax & unwind in the evening and perhaps getting a little caffeine and work done during the day. .

What a fun place! A friend of mine just moved to the Mueller area and we're starting to explore the spots around her place. WhichCraft = Jackpot! We went on a Friday night and the atmosphere was pretty laid back, it wasn't loud or very crowded. The walls are lined with cans and bottles and growlers of so many different beers, it's really an impressive display. They also had quite a few options on tap. Although they don't actually do flights they offer 5 oz pours so you can more or less create your own, which is what we did! We liked almost all of what we tried and enjoyed looking at the wide selection of beers on the wall. There was also a large stack of board games in the corner, which we took advantage of. It's not a huge place by any means but there's plenty of space. There are a few long tables and some small booths as well. And like I said, the atmosphere is really chill. This isn't the place you come for a wild night out. Honestly, we got a little too into our games and were easily the loudest ones there. The beer was great and the games were fun but what really sold this place for us was the staff. They were nothing short of incredible. So welcoming and helpful and also very knowledgeable about the beers they had on tap. They really went above and beyond for our group! We all had a blast and I can't wait to go back!

Full disclosure I am one of their neighbors and live above it, so I am spoiled to say whichcraft is my neighbor. Does your neighbor have an extensive beer list available at all times? Doubt it! So glad they opened up we were lacking a good adult hangout in the neighborhood. They're open all day they do coffee and breakfast tacos in the morning and then beer the rest of the day. I've never gotten anything from their beer menu yet in-store, I've taken all mine to-go so far. The ambiance is great though! It's always full (but you can still find a seat), there's a TV, wi-fi. What more could you need? My only one complaint is there's no food available. You can have food brought in (i've seen people order domino's and have it delivered), I wish they had food though. My uncle always says it's my generation in Austin that wants food with everything, I won't disagree haha. I love their bottle beer section they carry a lot of colorado beers which I love, their staff is really knowledgeable and friendly and will help you out if you need. I came in during the holidays and bought some gifts here out of their "bomber" selection, and everyone was happy. Pro tip: They do trivia on wens and it was really crowded last week so i'm definitely gonna have to go to one, seems like the place to be on on a Wednesday night!

These guys have built a fantastic space up north. When you walk in, you are greeted by a knowledgeable staff, an impressive tap wall, sports on TV, and an amazing beer selection to-go. Their selection is extensive, and constantly rotating. As a beer lover, it's refreshing to be greeted by 3/4 of a tap menu I've never had before. I will be putting together a happy hour here soon.

WhichCraft was cool when it was just a bottle shop with excellent selection. Now, with this second location, there is a great tapwall, an espresso bar, and nice lounge to hang out in. I think my favorite feature of the bottle selection is the wonderful way they organize their collection. You get logical stylistic groupings of bottles, and easy to find prices on the shelves under the bottles. Another really cool thing they do is sell you pours of beer as small as 5 oz. That way it is to sample several of their beers on tap for a reasonable price. I also do enjoy that they have sports on TV there. It adds to the laid back vibe...I feel like a lot of people are too cool for that these days.. Anyway, I will be back often checkin out the wares and lookin for whales :) Edit: A couple of detractors... 1) not enough coolers/cold beers to go 2) not enough six packs of easy drinking local beers 3) six packs are overpriced 11 bucks for Oscar Blues IPA..whereas 8.28 at HEB 4) you have to pay to park in Mueller these days...

When showing our Minnesota Driver's license, the lady spent an eternity to check it... and then she went to her manager to double check it. So that rubbed us the wrong way. This place is also extremely expensive for draft beer. I couldn't believe I was paying $5 for a ti glass of beer that was filled half way. UPDATE: I probably did this review when I was angry. Came here to grab some Austin beer to take home and try some while in Austin. This place would be my Bottle shop for sure if I lived in Austin. I loved the layout, the people, and the beer choices. Plus prices were pretty good. We grabbed a lot of beer and everything so far was really good. I was able to find a DDH by Tupps that was amazing. Plus we grabbed so much more. I thoroughly enjoyed this place!!

I really like coming in here on random Sunday afternoons. I usually get one or two pints of the wheat on draft and leave with a new wine. Whoever is the wine buyer, I just want to say thank you.

I like which craft quite a bit. They always have a fantastic selection of beers in singles and I love to go pick up a dozen or two new beers to sample from time to time and to go back for a sixer of something I really enjoyed. They typically have very friendly and knowledgable staff willing to chat beer and help out with any questions you may have about new stuff in stock or similar beers to what you may be looking for. This location seemed to have a slightly smaller single selection, but had a nice selection of beers on tap which was cool. A great stop if you're in the Mueller area to pick up great beer at a fair price.

This place is so wonderful. The atmosphere is so laid back, the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. They are welcoming and carry the widest selection of beer! They have plenty of options for wine and coffee drinkers too. I would recommend this place to anyone in the Austin area. Cheers!

First visit here, I love this place. Amazing selection of beer for the beer lovers among us. Authentically friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating staff. As a sidenote, its the little things that make certain Austin beer establishments shine for those who take notice. If you see a growler filled without a tube, they are oxidating your beer. Not here. If you can see on a board when their beer lines were last cleaned, they hold themselves publicly accountable. Cheers to the places that not only sell the beer, but those who truly take efforts to take care of the beer they sell.

Great selection of iced cold draft craft beers for purchase and consumption on site, or you can purchase to go in a crowler. WhichCraft also offers a very respectable selection of bottled and canned beers for sale by the bottle or 6-pack, which are for consumption off site (note thy are not chilled, so bring an ice chest or be prepared to chill down). Oh and they are a coffee shop with a great selection of coffee drinks, in addition to offering coffee beans for sale. Oh and If you are hungry or get the munchies, they also offer a few snack items.

The best taproom in Mueller is also it's best coffeeshop and it's best general hangout spot if it's too muggy/hot/humid/Texas to be outside at the nearby Irish 'burb-pub. So I lived in Portland for a while growing up. They are beer snobs and I've got a bit of that in me. The beer in Texas is, measure for measure, not as good. But you wouldn't know that at a place like Whichcraft, which has an impressive selection of taps and hundreds of bottles on their walls. I know, any tap room has that. But what WC adds is incredible happy hours $2 craft pints all night on game night? guest brewer pours that let you keep the mug you drank out of? That was just a random Thursday. Their employees are all nice and not at all snotty like we've come to expect from the best breweries. But the true gem is coming here in the afternoon to get some work done. The place will be half-empty, the cold-brew will be better than Epoch's, and when you've put in some good time you can celebrate with a pint when happy hour kicks in at 4pm. Would it be better if the had food besides pretzel sandwhiches or made pastrami in-house or some crap like that? Would seating besides chairs designed to house 110-pound Indonesian women (my mom's one, I can say that) be cool? Yes, but this joint is the size of a trust-fund teen's walk-in. It's a gem in this neighborhood and well-worth your time.

RUN here... don't walk. Seriously. I am a sucker for simple, yet effective, floor design and this place has it! Immediately upon walking in you see a lot of seating options, the register, and a beautiful bottle wall that is just begging that you go over and buy some. The brew they have on tap is diverse and so is everything on their shelves. Do yourself a favor and check out this place. Only downside - they need just a little more wine to choose from.

1) They serve the Freakin' Vegan Taco Deli taco that is darn near impossible to find on the East Side. 2) Their coffee is delicious. 3) Clean and welcoming atmosphere. 4) Kid friendly in the mornings before going to the park or to the Thinkery. 5) Trivia nights.

I'l l be the first to admit that since moving to the Mueller neighborhood, I haven't walked around the area by the park to explore the eateries and drinkeries available within walking distance, but I blame that mainly on the consistent 100 degree weather. Whichcraft is conveniently located across from Mueller park and behind the Thinkery. This place has a wall of bottles, growlers, and a decent selection of beers and ciders on rotating draft. Although they don't have flights, they do 5oz pours so you can still taste and sample till the beer belly starts to surface. There's also a small refrigerated section where you can get cold bottles. The staff are all extremely helpful and work their magic so that you and your friends have a good time with your drinks. Can't ask for much else. There are multiple long tables for larger groups to hang out and less than a dozen or so smaller tables for you and a friend to enjoy some brew. It's not the largest establishment, but there is enough space for everyone to have a good time on a not too wild night out. They even have boardgames/card games for your entertainment! Whichcraft reminds me of hang out spots in San Diego, where tap rooms and breweries can be found one after another walking down the block. Think North Park and Pacific Beach for any of my other Californians out there! Looking forward to making my way here for more days and nights of beers, games and fun!
