Whiffletree Farm

Jesse and his family are such wonderful stewards of their animals and farm. They care deeply about the earth and h the well being of the animals they care for. We've gotten food delivered from them each month for years and appreciate the quality and flavor of all their meats.

This place was amazing!! The gent let me roam around and take pictures of the animals. The food was delicious too. They have homemade bone broth, which was so tasty. It's worth a mention that they have things other than meet and eggs- they also have gluten free brownies that taste like brownie batter- they are utterly incredible (pun intended!)- they have teas, maple syrup, honey, chapsticks and such. All of it is local.

Highest quality beef, pork and chicken from a fabulous family farm. On a scale of 1 to 5, I give Jesse and his family is 6!! 😊😊😊. Take time to visit this place and you'll be very happy 😁

We've had the pleasure of purchasing all kinds of things from Whiffletree. We always look forward to driving over to the farm store! Their pigs are AMAZING. We purchase a whole pig every year, and I'll be honest--I was never really a pork fan until then. Such high quality in their meat. We've also purchased whole cows from them, and we'll go back for individual cuts of beef and sausage all the time. They are awesome people who hire young future farmers, and they're active in the community. Their practices are responsible, and I always feel good ordering from them. Highly recommend!

SO happy to find a local regenerative farm. I saw a post on Facebook that alerted me to their presence. I bought some eggs and cheese. Everyone I encountered was so nice. Not a common trait in this county unfortunately. I will definitely return to the store. I am also going to keep an eye on my email hoping they will offer a farm tour or others events soon. I would sign up for those for sure. It is a lovely peaceful place outside of town. I plan to bring friends with me next time. Eating some of the eggs now and they are super YUMMY 😍!

Stopped in one day to see what food items Whiffletree Farm had to offer. Walked out with a couple of T-bone steaks, some bacon, and some ground Chorizo. The ground Chorizo was really good! Will have to pick up some more in the near future. #WhiffletreeFarm

I have visited Whiffletree Farm's store probably 7 or 8 times now, to buy milk. Their customer service is the worst. They don't even greet you when you walk in, or look at you or ask if you need anything. Once they had a huge table taking up the majority of the room in the store - you could barely walk around it. Several times no one was there to take a payment. Today was the absolute worst and the last time I will ever go there. There was a note on the door saying that the milk had been moved to a cooler in the back of the barn. There was a crudely drawn map stating the location. The implication was that the customer should walk back there and get it and bring it to the store for payment. So I went into the store to verify what I should do. Guess what? No one was there - AGAIN. I stood outside and tried to get the attention of some of the workers. There were high school girls there who laughed and ran away. WTH? Never ever again!

All I can say is WOW! The cuts are quality. Some of the best steaks I've ever had came from Whiffletree.

Great vibe and food. Oh my goodness! While in Warrenton at the shops, I had a desire to get some organic food. Yelp said there was a farm 10 minutes away that sold pasture-raised, organic and non-gmo food! I got there 10 minutes from closing and was greeted by Jessee, the owner. The offerings included eggs, milk, cheese, beef, chicken, pork. I loved that he had beef bones for soup-making. They also carry some organ meats. This is a great find and authentic as can be. The market is located in an old building that was originally a workshop or something like that. All is plunked in the middle of farm land with a gravel spot on which to park! Enjoy.

This is a wonderful local family farm to support. While I haven't physically made it to Whiffletree Farm (not yet, anyway), I have ordered meats using their Neighborhood Delivery service and was thoroughly impressed with the quality of their food and their service. Here are a few highlights: 1. Their website is brilliant: user-friendly navigation; detailed descriptions of all products available on the online store; easy checkout process; and an overall welcoming presence that invites you to look around. The online store is stocked with everything from meats and cheeses to homemade soap bars and honey. 2. The delivery service is fantastic. Pick-up locations are available throughout the DMV (I counted 23 listed on the website) and it couldn't have been easier to shop the online store, place an order and pick up the goods in my neighborhood on delivery day. Pick-up was completely contactless - I simply drove up to the location (in my case, a house in a quiet residential neighborhood), grabbed my well-marked bag from a cooler (there were several laid outside), and hopped back in my car. 3. A relatively small order of meats yielded some really great meals that stretched for two weeks: a pack of ground lamb turned into a shepherd's pie; chicken livers and pork chorizos combined to make an awesome dirty rice; and chicken drumsticks did double-duty, yielding arroz con pollo one night and chicken soup another. All of the meats were delicious but I was especially impressed with the livers and the chorizos. Yep, I envision a long-lasting relationship with Whiffletree.

Their meat, poultry, and pork are high quality. I have not been disappointed. You can tell that everything is fresh. The great tasting sausages i've purchased are lower in fat then i've seen from most other sources and with minimal shrinkage when cooked. The people that work there are always welcoming and friendly.

Great local farm that sells awesome meat and dairy products. Staff are knowledgeable and friendly. We have been going there for years.

I love this place and everything that they have here. I completed a fast and used their hand made bone broth....delicious! Everything is fresh and pasture raised. Grass fed and finished beef...great for keto and carnivore! Fantastic!

such a beautiful farm the family loved it. we will be coming back. food is great. They also sell organic milk wish it came in glass curtains. They sell meat too.

Earth-conscious, sustainable farming. Excellent products at competitive prices. The young folks (maybe interns) who man the farm store have been friendly, knowledgeable and provided above-and-beyond customer service. Bonus is seeing free-ranging ducks, chickens and (human) kids on the drive up to the farm.

We like to stop in on Saturday's to get beef, chicken, eggs. I like that I can take my dog (leashed) and muck around outside while better half shops. It is definitely a working farm. Nice folks and good products. Great asset to the Springs Road area. Recommended.

Jessie and Liz's farm is a small family farm (chickens, turkeys, pigs and cows). They do all their own processing, raise their animals without the use of chemicals and they use only non-GMO grains. Their kids are so cute too! The Thanksgiving turkeys are delicious!

Jesse and Liz are the best, and so are the products they offer! Honest prices, delicious meat offerings. Their pork is like steak! The customer service is always excellent. I cannot recommend their farm store enough. They care about their community and are working hard to bring an increasing amount of other vendors and other great products in, too. We came to them for advice regarding our chickens and they were happy to help, even processing our roosters for us. We make sure to frequent the restaurants that buy and offer their products, like Black Bear Bistro and Hidden Julles Cafe. They even offer weekly email newsletters with great information, tips, recipes, and news on seasonal family-friendly events. A great asset to Warrenton!

Hardworking farmers that know how to raise free range turkey chicken cow pig etc Wish I could afford to buy meat sonly from them but when I can I do so and know get the best quality for the money! taste and texture are phenomenal! Get your thanksgiving turkey from them you will be hooked!
