While large parties a fairly common, a sizable portion of the restaurant is dedicated to an elongated bar and small high-tops. Take in whichever art show is currently on display and flip through an extensive drink menu. "The stark white kitchen at Whino is essentially the only part of the new Arlington art gallery/restaurant opening tomorrow that’s devoid of color. The hybrid establishment from gallery owner Shane Pomajambo is completely wrapped in mural installations, even on the ceilings. My friend and I recently went here for her bday. What a fun atmosphere as I love art, and been wanting to taste their menu items. We went during happy hour, and the food was absolutely excellent! I am not a fan of oysters, but oh my their sauce was so delicious that I ordered more! Everything we ordered other than the vegetable chips were tasty! Customer service was impressive! Would recommend this place and look forward to our next visit to savor different menu items.

We enjoyed dinner and dancing at "Whino". The food was fairly good. Drinks were nice as well. Service was excellent. However..... The part we didn't like was a mandatory 20% gratuity tip that was put on our bill because it was an event. They charged extra to anyone that ordered food but never explained this before we ordered. We were only a party of 2 people which made no sense why we would pay extra just because of the venue. Mind you the venue wasn't free. We paid money just to enter. I felt cheated because they are just bleeding you out for money at this point. I mentioned this to the establishment and they stood by the extra fee. I won't be going back. My rating is 1.5 out of 5.

Great place to come for a happy hour or a drink! The ambiance is very cool and they have live music on Saturday nights. My bartender- Lexi- was super friendly and service was very fast! I tried the Anticucho buns and they were solid as well

My low rating was for the food. Nothing I ate or saw on the menu was amazing, but I’d return for happy hour and the great service! We came here for our team holiday dinner and the servers/atmosphere were great! The food didn’t do it for me, but everyone that works here is super sweet. They went above and beyond to provide us great service, and it was appreciated. We will definitely be back for happy hour!

Great place for cocktails and a tasty bite to eat. Lots of veggie choices. The “gyro” was somehow really nicely balanced and tasted healthier and fresh. Gold digger and passion fin off the cocktail menus. Went for lunch and bummed that the small plates weren’t available until dinner bc really wanted the beet gluten free pasta. Gallery of mostly pop art. Fun space fun drinks. Inside ballston mall above true foods.

What a fun place! It’s massive, has great food, lots of fantastic win and a cool vibe. Highly recommend for larger groups- we had a happy hour for a huge group— everyone comfortably spread out. The patatas bravas were absolutely amazing- super crisp with a spicy sauce on top. The yucca/plantain chips were yum and the wings were good (nothing special but great). My friend loved everything she got.

I have had the pleasure of dining here a few times. It is mostly shareable small plates. The prices aren’t too bad themselves. At night time, there is a DJ who played some really good music. There are also art works to check out. I loved the vibe and the atmosphere here. Taste-wise, the food was good as well. They give you a decent portion so that you can truly share it. I would definitely dine again!

My score is closer to 3.5 stars than 3, but I digress. I was able to correspond with their team to answer my questions and make my reservation in advance, so that was nice. I was delighted by this restaurant, the concept is so fun, the atmosphere was comfortable and unique. I wish more people were there, it would have made the room feel more energetic. The dj is a fun idea, but sadly the music only started getting good as we were leaving. I would take away one whole star for the food. The good things were great, but some things were just disappointing. It was nice to be able to choose from a good variety of tapas, but some of the menu items seemed overworked. The cocktails and drinks were great and reasonably priced. I think this place would really thrive if it had direct access from the street and a simplified menu. I would definitely return if I was in the area.
