Something was VERY off the day we went. Our reservation was at 11:30am on a Saturday and we got there a bit before. There were two people working, one girl was taking names, going over the rules, taking orders, and making the drinks. Then a guy came in, and took over going over the rules and checking off names.
There were about 10 of us there, and I believe we saw 8 cats. I completely understand the amount of cats depends on how many are adopted, that was not the issue at all.
The issue was they were VERY lethargic and extremely jumpy at any noise or movement... if not just completely asleep. The cats featured in other photos here, were completely out of it on the day we went.
We ordered a CharCATarie Board and I am completely disappointed it was not on a cat shaped or themed board. I mean... for the price it was to enter ($35 each) which includes nothing other than walking in the door, this could have been done WAY better. Our fee alone could have purchased three of those boards on Amazon.
I used the restroom prior to leaving, and it smelled awful. It smelled like 50 cats had used a litter box and it hadnt been cleaned in weeks. In addition to that, two of the cats that came out of the square in the wall by the door leading up the stairs, had very large chunks of litter stuck to their leg.
There was a cat with one eye, and that made me so sad. The gray and white cat was upstairs and literally did not move. If you pet it or anything, it did not move. It did not look well, at all. There are tired cats, and then there are cats that looked like they were sedated, drugged, sick, or all of the above. That was the vibe of the cats that morning. It really upset me.
Once the food was ready, we had to back up front to get it, they are unable to bring it to you. It was an ok board, definitely below its price level, especially being on a plain square board. Im telling you, invest in some cat charcuterie boards. It will make a difference.
We did not stay our full time, nor did anyone else that came in at the same time as us. We left at an hour, 15 minutes early, and others who came in with us left prior to that. We stayed downstairs as it is air conditioned and that was where most of the cats seemed to be hanging out. One cat was playful with me for a bit but he then almost had a switched turned off and he melted down and didnt move much after that. He was the only one who had a collar on, so I am not sure if he is a long time resident there, or why he had that collar. He also was the only one who played, at all or even moved around for the most part.
Very strange and I truly hope these cats are ok. They really did not seem so when we visited.
