Enjoyed the amazing atmosphere and the overall feel of the place! The bartenders were incredible and the cigar expert was able to tell me which cocktail I should get based on my choice of cigar! The courtyard in the back is an absolute paradise! I will absolutely come here again!

Make sure you stop by and fellowship with these folks. We were warmly welcomed and enjoyed the whole vibe. We didn't get a chance to eat, and the cigar selection is limited but the it was worth the journey away from downtown.

This is a great cozy space. Kelder has been a gracious host. She laid out a spread of little bites. The Brandy I purchased was $11. The reason I was afraid to go, was one I hate cigarettes and cigar smell. The good thing is that people only smoke outside. Unfortunately, some of it creeps inside. The other reason is I usually find these kind of places stuffy. But this is New Orleans.

I absolutely love this place. They don’t have food on the menu but occasionally they have special events where they serve food or have food available. The owners are amazing and the staff is awesome! Great cigars and drinks. Atmosphere is grown and sexy. They have game nights, dj (afrobeats, 70’s r&b and house music), they also play the best music when they don’t have DJs. Just a laid back community spot.

Great vibes, awesome owners, interesting patrons. They have cigars and offer a Trivia night on Fridays which keeps the crowd amused and slightly competitive. The winners often get a prize of wine or bourbon. Try it you might like it.

Great spot, loved the local feel of the place. The drinks where amazing and cigars where inexpensive. Sitting outdoors on the patio and smoking cigars was so relaxing.

Went on a Wednesday night. 1st time there. Drinks are nice, love the coziness of the inside, the outside space in the back really roomy. Folks were friendly and had great conversations. It’s a cigar bar too!

I love the very welcoming atmosphere to regulars as well as newcomers. The ambiance is eclectic. The staff is always friendly. The owners Ken and Kelder are the most awesome hosts. Friday night Trivia with Brian is a must attend but bring your A game and some knowledgeable friends because it if funny yet competitive. Saturday night House music is always good. Oh and most of all, the back patio with the stage is an excellent place to sit and chill while you smoke your favorite cigars. It is also a perfect place to plan a special intimate event.

There were a few patrons in chic attire sipping chilled wine outside, and I thought I might be a bit too scruffy in my biker gear for this place. Stepping inside, we were warmly greeted and promptly served drinks. I felt like I slipped into the back room with my cool older cousins at the family reunion - I'm a tourist in this city, so I got the local scoop on a few good restaurants to check out. The inside lounge area has great artwork on the walls and the DJ had a nice Motown vibe going on. There is a back patio as well with plenty of space to hang out. We sat outside and were checked on a couple times to make sure all was well. Definitely a good vibe here...I almost don't want to write this review and have it get too popular. Definitely the best of two others spots in the city I checked out so far : )

I wish I could give this zero stars. For starters, it's called Whiskey and Sticks but smoking was not allowed inside. That didn't stop the employee from selling us a cigar though and she definitely did not warn us that we wouldn't be allowed to smoke it. It was our only reason for being there. We would have taken our business elsewhere without a purchase had we known we couldn't smoke there. We had cigars at home but it was a cold, wet evening so we were looking for an indoor place to smoke.

This was my first time at Whiskey and Sticks. I arrived at the end of trivia night but it seems like a bunch of fun. The place is very intimate while also being lively. The bartender was nice and she crafted perfectly blended drinks. The back patio is also a nice touch. I can definitely imagine a private function back there. Will be back

Ms. Kimberly made me a Whiskey Appleton (i think that's the name) that was outa this world! She's such a sweetheart and good at recommendations. I don't even drink whiskey but I will now Lol. Such a beautiful neighborhood bar and nice place to just sit and chill. Great music too.

One of my favorites Good Drinks Good People !!! Great place Grown Folks very clean and welcoming. If your looking to chill and have a good time this is the place for you.

While planning my trip to Nola I saw this spot on travel noir. We finally made it over the last night of our stay. The place is quaint but there's seating in the front, inside and outside. My hubby ordered boubon and a cigar. He was not feeling the cigar but of course he had his own. I just sat outside and enjoyed conversations and the summer night air. Such a chill vibe away from boubon street. They even had carribean food for sale on site. We will return on our next visit!

August 2019- My bff & I stumbled upon this place on our girls trip to NOLA. The owners (husband/wife) are kind and genuine. This establishment is black-owned which was an added bonus for us! Everyone made us feel so welcomed. We went in there to purchase cigars for our dad/husband to bring back home with us. I went back solo on my last night there. They had a private event going on and again I felt welcomed. The owner introduced me to everyone and made me feel as if I was definitely one of the regulars. They have a great selection of local whiskeys that I definitely sampled! I bought 5 cigars (3 were hand rolled). I don't smoke, but when I gave them to my husband he stated they were of a great quality. I would definitely come back to this place again just to have a nice smooth drink and mingle with the loveable and kind people of NOLA!

Great selection of whiskeys! I was here on a chill Wednesday night, celebrating a friend's birthday. There were HH specials (a punch called Tiger Woods) and our bartender/owner was amazing. I got to try 2 new to me whiskies so that's exciting and the feeling is more like you're in someone's awesome home bar. Definitely seemed like most folks were getting straight pours rather than fancy cocktails. The space is lovely with a variety of seating and a cool vibe. There is space out back to enjoy the Sticks portion of the menu and though it was rainy several of my friends enjoyed the space & the cigars while under an umbrella. The owner also moved some chairs to under the front awning. Be prepared to be buzzed in. And there is a single bathroom which is OK because this isn't a huge space... but plan accordingly.

Reason for Visit: Just dropped in to have a smoke and drink with my father-in-law while he was in town. Facility: This place has a nice homey and intimate feel to it. The inside is small but has comfortable seating for you to relax with a drink. The back patio has a nice sitting area with fire pit to keep you warm and cozy. Service: The service was pretty good. A Cigars: A small selection of cigars. Whiskey: I was looking for Oban 14 year. They didn't have any so the bartender recommended Uncle Nearis to us. It was a nice smooth taste. They have a nice selection but not as many as I expected for it to be a Whiskey bar. I was also hoping to try some flights. Overall: In all it was a nice experience and I enjoyed myself. It seems to be a startup. I'm hoping they grow some more with a larger whiskey selection, flight options, and a walk in humidor. Anyone who goes will like their time there.

This place is a vibe. I had the best Margarita ever! Everyone is so friendly. It's definitely a homely and upscale vibe. They had good dj. Highly recommend.

Excellent cocktails, nice courtyard, beautiful space. I cannot wait to come back to Whiskey & Sticks. As we walked in, the staff greeted us so warmly that I thought they knew me from somewhere. It was cool to get a Cheers vibe upon my first visit! We were there for a comedy event in the courtyard. There was ample seating and good acoustics. Best of all, I never had to leave my chair to get another drink. The staff was on top of it! They were taking orders, bussing and returning with full trays so quickly. It was truly impressive.

Visited Whiskey & Sticks multiple times now, so much so I was a regular or Fridays/Saturdays for a little bit there! I think one of the main things that drew me back so many times was the lady bartender (Sadly her name is escaping me at the moment). She was knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and got me to try a new whiskey each time I was there. It was always a pleasure of experiencing different great whiskeys available at the moment. My favorites at the moment at this location in Balvenie and Ohan at the moment at least. The atmosphere is sexy and laid back, you can just chill and listen to music here for extended periods of times. It's a WHOLE vibe and I love that. This is a great location for solo outings, which I did many of. However, I have had a good time with friends here as well as meeting new people. I also had a chance to attend one of their Friday Trivia nights and it was so much! Everyone is so friendly and you leave like you are old friends with everyone. Kelder & Ken are both pretty dope! Great to talk with and very friendly. Don't normally get so much access to owners, but here you do which I appreciate! There is also ample street parking, you shouldn't have any issues with that as well. Definitely check this location out if you are whiskey lover, or just a beginning they will definitely help you out on the journey. Note: Their mixed drink Tiger Woods is delicious too!

Nice little intimate joint. I was in the neighborhood for a party up the block... and me and the Mrs popped in here for a nightcap. The whiskey selection is very good. The humidor was a bit picked over... but it looked like it was stocked with a lot of the big names... and we didn't have that much time for a smoke anyway. The drink was nice and deep, and stiff. The atmosphere was relaxing. The bartender was kind. I'll be back for that smoke real soon.

The vibe is really mellow. The owners and staff are friendly and are very knowledgeable in their cigars and whiskey. Although smoking isn't allowed inside (per City of New Orleans' rules), there's a very lovely and inviting patio that is ripe for evening relaxing and smoking a good cigar.

Me and my friends were visiting from chicago and our Uber driver suggest that we go visit this wonderful establishment. We had a blast. The bar star was wonderful and the drinks were very tasty. Not expensive at all. Owner and his wife made our visit very pleasant. If you're in the NOLA area visit Whiskey & Sticks.

I went for the first time on a Friday with a few of my friends since I've heard so many things about it. I'm a whiskey drinker and a cigar aficionado for over 10 years now so my excitement about checking out this place was high on my list. The first thing it's a smaller lounge but feels like its much bigger. The decor is perfect for what type of place it is. The staff was nice and even met one of the owners while there. Mr. Ken Jones was very personable the entire time and even ran drinks for our table a few times. It's a really laid back environment in the backyard area but would have loved to have some music of some sort back there. The selection of cigars wasn't that great IMO and the ones they had I found to be a bit overpriced but I get why. Still would like to see more of a wider price range on the bottom end to top end cigars. I purchased 2 while there to support but at the cost of a few this couldn't be an every week thing for me. On the whiskey selection there is a good amount to choose from, but again the pricing was $2 to $3 more than the average places per drink. Still, I had my fair share of drinks and enjoyed myself. I do wish they had food of some sort even if it was small plates or something. The average cigar takes about 45 minutes to an hour to smoke and combine that with drinks, food is needed. I will be back again and will recommend this place to others.

Ok so I finally made it to Whiskey and Sticks! I've been wanting to visit since they opened up! Unfortunately I could only stay a short time. I love love this cozy spot! I didn't drink any of there fabulous drinks ( heard they're great) or smoke a cigar this time but will go back when I can have a more lengthy visit! I did enjoy some old school tunes with fellow patrons ! Can't wait to go back ... love the vibes of this lovely place!

Whiskey & Sticks is my Cheers! In a cozy and relaxing setting, owners Kelder & Ken, offer a wide variety of whiskey and cigars.(sticks). Each time that I am here, I try at least 1 new whiskey. The super friendly bartenders offer fun conversation as I sip on my favorites Basil Hayden or Balvenie and make great suggestions like Abelour. There are multiple whiskeys at each price point and it's easy to enjoy them in such a laid back spot. They offer happy hour punches and make a mean French 75 for non whiskey drinkers. Cozy seating makes it the perfect spot to meet up with friends and unwind & the gorgeous bar is a great place to sit alone and meet new friends. I don't indulge in cigars but they have an extensive selection in the humidor and the smoking patio is a nice escape from the everyday hustle and bustle. If you like to unwind with a laid back crowd, make your way to Whisky & Sticks...tell them that Shawne sent you!!

This is a must see if you're in New Orleans. It was my best friends birthday and he loves whiskey and we randomly found this whiskey lounge. The owner was so nice and well informed of all the whiskey and their backstories. Uncle Nearest is a must try! The place was so nice and clean. It also had a back terrace area that was really nice we sat out there to enjoy our drinks. This is a brand new local business please support! You will not be disappointed.

Omg this place is one of the cutest and coziest in the city!! Super local vibe with a friendly welcoming atmosphere!! Not to mention the outside courtyard if you'd like to enjoy a cigar or an evening under the stars!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PLACE!! So happy to have it in my neighborhood!!!
