How FB Society Is Developing Some of DFW’s Most Successful Restaurants | Eater Dallas

"Created as the group's second concept for suburban diners, this restaurant emphasizes warm woods and a masculine, craft-driven bar program — Gibbons notes they “let a craft cocktail guy design the bar,” eliminating soda guns in favor of fresh ingredients, excellent ice, and proper glassware, a move he says “out in Plano, people’s heads were blown off.” It was also ahead of its time on sustainability: solar panels, repurposed furniture, gutters that route water into landscaped areas (with plants used as cocktail ingredients), reusing wine bottles as water bottles, branding wine boxes as coasters, welding old silverware into a fork sculpture, and even early installations of electric-car chargers. The concept was designed for long-term suburban viability and informed many operational and design practices across the group's other restaurants." - Courtney E. Smith

Will definitely return when back in the area. The food was absolutely delicious and my server was friendly and attentive. There was one small hiccup with my food order, a bun I ordered for my sandwich was not provided when the food arrived. When I mentioned it, a separate bun was brought out to replace the error. I was still charged an extra $2 for the bun, which i felt was a bit off. Had the smoked old fashioned which was great. I look forward to visiting again one day to sample some bourbon flights. This place was packed on a weekday, so I highly recommend a reservation. The whiskey cake was good, but in hindsight I wish I had eaten it at the restaurant and not ordered it to go. I think having it fresh, and the ingredients all together would have made for a better experience.

Google
Menu has been rationalized to a manageable set of choices. Everyone in our party was able to choose quickly. I went with the fish and chips. Great crunch . Benjamin had the burger medium. His comments on the taste and textures indicated his happiness with his choice an polished off it in short order. Rare event for him to finish a large burger of meat. We will be returning soon

Google
This is one of my favorite restaurants . Great food and even better vibe. I visit here with family on special occasions. Excellent chicken sandwich “Hot Hen” . Deviled eggs and Hummus are one of the best appetizers. My kid loved the hummus and veggies. Crispy chicken salad is also fantastic. Lots of drink options and a bar if you want to go nuts. Overall a great place to dine in.

We recently visited Whiskey Cake in Las Colinas and had an amazing experience with the food! We tried the steak & eggs, chicken & waffle, and of course, the signature whiskey cake. Everything was packed with flavor, but the steak seasoning stood out—it was perfectly balanced and absolutely delicious. The dessert was a great way to end the meal. However, the seating could be better. While the ambiance is nice, we felt that a more comfortable setup would enhance the overall dining experience. Still, the quality of the food makes it worth the visit. We’ll definitely be back!

Google
I had the American pie to drink. A sweeter than normal old fashioned. The ice cube has a WC in it. Fancy!!! Food was excellent...French onion burger & a whiskey cake for dessert! Best part was our server named Red. She was fantastic & I'm sure will be missed when she goes to Arizona. She knew everything & was great! It was a little loud but we did go in the middle of lunch.

Google
Truly honest review at only giving 4 stars. I was new to this place and it had some good pros, but, a few cons. See below. Pros: I sat at the bar and enjoyed the atmosphere and menu options. I got the hangover burger for brunch, and it was an excellent burger. The sauces were good too. My drinks were excellent. I got amaretto sours. Cons: It was recommended by the bartender to get the dill pickle chips with it and how good they were, so I got them. They were terrible. Overly cooked and the seasoning was overwhelming. They just weren't good. As for the cocktails, the flavor was excellent, however, the portions for a cocktail is extremely low for the price. This is a place who puts drinks in tiny fun cool glasses and charges you for twice as much. I got 3 cocktails, and each one was only half full. Very disappointing. I wanted to try the whiskey cake, but so many people complained it was burnt on reviews, so I was too scared to order it. To mention, bar service was slow. They only had 1 bartender for a Saturday (derby day) and he was working his butt off for table orders that he couldn't make time for bar seating orders. They need at least 2 people behind the bar doing drinks. I felt awful for the guy. I will happily try this place again for other options and it's a super cute place. To note: their menus constantly change. That's been an issue. They won't ever keep good standing menu items. No idea why they change. In fact, the bartender mentioned how next week they were having a meeting to change everything on the menu again. Very frustrating for customers.

Google
Great dinner spot! So busy and energizing! The bar tenders were super-friendly and the Bohemian and Smoked bourbon were terrific. The burgers were done as ordered. Really enjoyed the brussel sprouts! Our server Brittany was fun to talk with and quick with our meal. You should go!

Yelp
I had the most amazing time here at Whiskey Cake for Sunday brunch! My family and I sat out on the patio and they had these beautiful Rosemary beds that lined the half walls of the patio and the weather was pristine so our time was already off to a nice start. Anna, our server, was attentive, helpful, and amazing in general throughout our entire experience! The Candied Bacon we started off with was a great balance between savory and sweet and I think they said it's the same glaze they use for the eponymous Whiskey Cake dessert they have, which deserves a paragraph on its own; but I don't have the words to describe it so I'll say experience is the best teacher here! I cheated a bit and went off the lunch menu to order the pork chop, which was juicy, flavorful, but still cooked through. I ordered fire-roasted vegetables to accompany it, and it was just what I needed to go with it! I tried some of my family's meals too. The Short Rib Hash was hearty and flavorful, and the burger, while I would have preferred a medium-rare, was still tasty the way my sister ordered it! Victoria, the manager who was checking on different tables, stopped by before we put in the main order. She was friendly and informative, and without her I would have missed out on that delicious pork chop! Overall we had a great time and will definitely be back in the near future; thanks again Anna and Victoria!

Yelp
This was a great experience from Atmosphere, Service to the food. They spared no detail and it looks incredible. The bourbon wall was spot on. The service from our server to the staff who stopped over and talked us into a great flight of bourbon all Texas. Our food was great. I had the fondue burger and fries. The nailed it. The candy bacon is second to none and that sauce I need for everything I eat.

Yelp
Whiskey Cake just wasn't the place for me. None of the main dishes appealed to my wife or me so we ordered appetizers for dinner: Goat cheese dip, deviled eggs, chicken meatballs and the butcher board. The food and its presentation was not up to my expectations. My favorites were the goat cheese dip, which I loved and would absolutely get again, and the deviled eggs which were yummy but not presented as uniformly as I would expect. The chicken meatballs were extremely salty, dry, irregular shaped and served in a bowl with the inside smeared with hummus. It was unattractive and off putting. The butcher board arrived late because of an error in the order. Unfortunately I struggled finding things I liked on the board. All the flavors were extremely strong. The restaurant was absolutely packed on a Tuesday night, but fortunately we had made reservations, unfortunately we still had to wait more than 10 minutes to be seated. The servers seemed inexperienced and/or rude and disruptive to guests, for instance, by loudly dragging chairs and tables across the floor and grabbing our menus off the table before my wife ordered. Also our order didn't arrive correctly and the kitchen staff placed an item on our table that we didn't order. Even though the atmosphere of Whiskey Cake is cool with a unique "new southern" decor vibe, we were seated directly under a harsh light, while the rest of the restaurant was dark, which wasn't relaxing. I was going to order the whiskey cake for dessert but after the issues with the food, I just left as quickly as possible.

Yelp
Asked to sit outside. We were told no, even though other people sitting outside. (3 other parties) The server finally came over to us after 10 minutes and then said she would be back to take our order. We said we already know. (Since we fully looked at the menu 20 times). After that we had attitude the rest of our visit. The food was good.

Yelp
Love this place. We come here every time we go or leave the airport. Great food. Great coffee. Super friendly staff! Thank you everyone at whiskey cake for being so nice.

Yelp
OMG what ever you do save room for the Whiskey Cake!! My friend and I shared an entree just so we could share the dessert. I probably could go there and just have the dessert and be happy
google avatar

Yelp
The food and service here is stupid good. Best American restaurant in all of Texas. Every app, dish, and dessert was perfect. Definitely need to make a reservation- don't miss out going to this restaurant.

Yelp
Loved it! First time at this location - second time at a Whiskey Cake. It was a Sunday night. We arrived at 5 pm and sat at the bar for 45 minutes for a drink and an appetizer. My wife had a Cosmo. I had the Smoked Old Fashioned. Loved the Old Fashioned. One of our guests ordered a Bourbon Flight. He did a create-your-own flight and really enjoyed it. We ordered the Hummus appetizer and our guests ordered the Candied Bacon. Both were great. Our bartender was Noah. Super knowledgable and very friendly. Loved him. We sat for dinner around 6. Our server was Sequoia. Very pleasant and attentive. Both couples split burgers. Very good. Then the 4 of us shared a Whiskey Cake. OMG! Amazing.
google avatar

Renee I.

Yelp
The service was just as great as my meal. My steak was delicious and apparently the French Toast was a huge hit, too! And of course we ended our meal with Whiskey Cake

Yelp
I was in Dallas for a clients event and they hosted a dinner at Whiskey Cake for all us suppliers. It was delicious! Their brussel sprouts were so good I couldn't get enough of them. They had a limited menu for us that included Brussels sprouts, devil eggs hummus and entree options like steak frites. All of them were delicious and the service was fantastic. The bar area was also a great ambiance for a 1st date or happy hour!
google avatar

Heidi M.

Yelp
My hubby is a HUGE whiskey fan, so we tried out Whiskey Cake for dinner while visiting the Dallas area! Upon entering, we were greeted by a massive whiskey wall that was pretty impressive! The vibe felt very casual and family friendly! To start, my husband ordered a whiskey flight, and I had 'The Great Escape' which were both yummy. For an appetizer we ordered the brussels sprouts, but since I was so hungry I forgot to take a photo. For dinner my husband ordered the steak and fries, while our friend opted for the burger. The food was so good, and the service was amazing! We'll definitely be back next time we're in Texas!

Yelp
Service was great. Everyone was so friendly. Wasn't too busy when we came here. Parking was easy. The decoration was whiskey and woodsy. We started with a non alcoholic drink and an old fashioned. Appetizer we got deviled eggs then I got pork chop and my friend got the French dip. To end we got the whiskey cake. Everything was delicious. My pork was cooked perfectly! The cake oh so good!
google avatar

Phil B.

Yelp
Service was great here. Very attentive and engaging. Interesting but delicious foods and a wide variety of drinks with a whole wall of whiskey! It was a cool place to happy hour. The whiskey cake was pretty good too.

Yelp
The ambiance is very chic and, do I dare say, sexy as hell! It's all about the grown-ups here. The low lights, with the candles flickering in every corner and on every table, lit the dining area a beautiful yellow like the moon, bringing a romantic feel for date night. But there is another side to this: the dark wood, the impressive bourbon, elixirs, and wine list bring out the men for a guy gathering. On top of that, the food is honestly the best I have ever had. I ordered the Bone-In-Chop, which came with a medley of vegetables, which was the perfect pairing. It was a sweet corn-edamame succotash, shaved apple, pea tendrils, apple cider-mustard seed glaze! My friends both ordered the Rotisserie Farm Bird. The meat fell off the bone, the skin had the right crispiness, and the meat was seasoned very well. As for dessert, we shared the Whiskey Cake; now, this wasn't intentional. But after we were supposed to take one bite, we kept going. Also, I wished I knew the girl that attented our table. She exuded professionalism and had a funny side to her. She knew her foods and wines. She did say she had only been there about three months and that she came from Bob's. Well, I can say I thoroughly enjoyed myself here; it was the perfect night with delicious food, a cozy atmosphere, and great friends!

Yelp
I've always loved this place. Bar staff is always amazing. If you want great service sit at the bar. Table service is a bit snobby. Which is crazy. Ambiance is amazing. Food is so good. Special shoutout to Austin and Riley. Whisky flight suggestions are always spot on.

Yelp
Went here a while back and ordered the Chicken & Cheese Melt, the Turkey Burger, and the Little Pink Drink. Absolutely LOVED the chicken & cheese melt. It has rotisserie chicken, dill havarti, basil garlic aioli, avocado smash, bacon, lettuce, tomato, and toasted sourdough. The chicken was well seasoned and the bacon was cooked perfectly! My friend got the turkey burger - said it tasted pretty good and that it was a very filling meal. The little pink drink has grapefruit, pineapple, cranberry, agave, and guava and it turned out to be SO good - definitely plan on getting this again whenever I go back.

Yelp
The food was just ok. Nothing was memorable nor stood out to us. I had the WTF burger and it was cooked exactly how I asked, but the sandwich itself lacked. Service was timely and helpful! Loved the vibe of the place with the dim lighting on a Friday night. They had many shared tables in the bar area.
google avatar

Cynthia L.

Yelp
Nice fresh food; different type of food I normally go for but regardless it was good. Nice ambiance and service was great. Not sure I'll come back anytime soon but it's a nice place for lunch or dinner. We had the Brussels sprouts and they were really good, the hamburger and chicken were our main entrees and both were delicious. The chicken was really moist and seasoned well.

Yelp
This is a hot new restaurant in the area so I would highly recommend a reservation at the this time. Menu is small, which I like because then I know food will be fresh, not frozen and prepared properly. Small menus will lead me to believe what they do offer will be good. Pork chop, Salmon, Steak Frites (fries) and Shrimp/grits were are family selections and it was all delicious. Crab Fritters and Drunk mussels was a fantastic start. Great vibe, great service! I hope you enjoy your experience

Yelp
Great atmosphere. Very inviting. Staff was quick to greet us at the door. We came with a large party and were taken care of the whole time we were there. Lower lighting made it very laid back. Music was not overly loud and was inviting for conversation. The tables were wood which added to the western/old time decor. We sat in the outside area that is still enclosed. They have heaters so you still feel comfortable. FOOD: Appetizer's. Fried Green Tomatoes were crispy with great flavor. Roasted Garlic Hummus was delicious and excellent presentation. The platter was almost art. Goat Cheese Fondue was a great portion size. Tasted amazing. Plenty for the table. Starter: Farm Salad. It was a salad. Hard for me to get excited about salads. Eh. Main: Hand Cut Ribeye - so juicy. The garlic butter and mushrooms were amazing. Mac and cheese with Duck fat. So rich and creamy. Excellent. This is a place to try when in the area. Huge selection of food to choose from and lots of meals that are worthy of Texas. Give them a try, you won't go wrong for dinner.

Yelp
I love Whiskey Cake. That's it, that's the post. I've been here about 4 times. I usually sit at the bar and Red is awesome! (I believe that's her name. Please don't kill me if that's not her name) The drinks, the food, the ambiance, and the service are always top notch. I'm a big fan of the BBQ Ribs, the brussells sprouts, and the mac and cheese! Everything is amazing! The whiskey selection here lives up to the name appropriately. If you're a "brown" fan, you'll love it here! The old fashioned menu is very good and the Little Rye Lies is my favorite! It's really, really good. I came here once with a friend for brunch, and as it was also very good. The brunch menu has a lot of great choices. One of these days, I'll save enough room to try the whiskey cake, which I have no doubt will be the bomb. You can't go wrong with this place.
google avatar

Victoria C.

Yelp
All around amazing. Great atmosphere. Great service. If you are a whiskey/bourbon drinker you will add it to your list of favorite spots with whiskey flights and a dedicated old fashion menu. Also a perfect place for brunch. I am not a dessert person but the whiskey cake is a must!
google avatar

Yelp
The service we had was phenomenal but the food was okay. My hot chicken sandwich needed to be spicier (but I love a classic Nashville hot chicken). The chips were pretty good though! The waitress was accommodating and provided me with a side of fresh jalapeños to add to my sandwich. Pricing was a bit higher but is fairly common for the restaurants in the area. The whiskey cake (not pictured because everyone dug in before I could snap a shot) was probably the best thing we tried there.
google avatar

Jamie T.

Yelp
The actual whiskey cake was great and service was also great but the food was not as good as I would expect. Drinks were okay, I think the whiskey was pretty good. Chicken was very lackluster in terms of taste. Ambiance was amazing though, great for having a lot of people eating together all at once.
google avatar

Elellta T.

Yelp
Be warned! The whiskey cake is insanely addictive. Service is always excellent, very rustic ambiance. They have a variety of healthy, farm to table options as well which is great. The drinks are also fantastic.
google avatar

Kyle V.

Yelp
This place was awesome. Such a cool bar that's the center focus of the entire restaurant. The whiskey list is truly amazing and I couldn't stop looking at the floor to ceiling wall of bottles. The staff was friendly but not overly chatty because they were so busy the whole time. I really enjoyed the flight because I have never been somewhere to sample different options. After that I picked one of their multiple old fashioneds and it was delicious. I started with the fried green tomatoes and deviled eggs and they were both great. The deviled eggs were unique but full of flavor. The ribeye was huge and I loved the sautéed mushrooms on the dish. It was cooked perfectly and seasoned nicely. Overall, this is a cool spot that I'll definitely be back to.

Yelp
Omgosh it was amazing!!! Service was so great and friendly. Food was absolutely delicious It's a beautiful place and so cozy.... I would recommend this location to everyone. Perfect for a date, business meeting or celebration. I absolutely love it and would go back for happy hour.

Yelp
Great food and ambiance. Very casual vibe. Friendly service. The whisky cake dessert was excellent. Worth the stop.

Tammie G.

Yelp
The service is always good here. Lots of Whiskey options (thus the name) M-F happy hour (not as good as it was pre Covid - but nothing is anymore these days ) Food is def fresh and very tasty! We got a side salad and the house dressing is delish! The salad had a really good mix of greens and tasted very fresh(I think they grow the herbs there) they also sell candle and other items I noticed I got the chicken sandwich and it comes with fries. After the salad I could only eat 1/2 (woohoo leftovers!) HH you can order your martini with several option available for 7.00 so that was a great deal We didn't get to this time but MAKE ROOM for the whiskey cake - it's out of this world! They used to have a reverse HH at 9pm but I forgot to confirm if it was still happening
google avatar

James K.

Yelp
I've been here several times and have always enjoyed it. The environment is always on point, and this time our server Jonah was taking care of us, and he did a solid job. As for the food, I absolutely loved the Chile BBQ Glazed Duck Wings. They weren't too hot for having Chile in their name, and the meat was literally falling off the bone. A+ wings for sure. The chicken meatballs appetizer was very good as well. The only thing I didn't love was my chicken & cheese sandwich, as it was just okay. The fries were also very good and my buddy liked his smoked tri tip dip sandwich too. We would come back again!
google avatar

Yelp
Dallas is renown for its amazing restaurants so it takes a lot to get 5 stars. The food was good but not exceptional. The service and ambiance was great! I was not underwhelmed but not blown away either. There are many Texmex restaurants in the DFW area that are amazing.
google avatar

Alejandra B.

Yelp
Surprising little spot. Our server Matt was great and recommended great whiskey selection. The burgers were good and the Brussels were tasty. Chickenbirdger bun got soggy on the bottom and was messy to eat. Fries were ok. If I'm ever in Dallas again, I'd definitely stop by again.
google avatar

Janine K.

Yelp
Great atmosphere and impressive whisky selection! The smoked old fashioned is perfection. Our server was super friendly and was pretty prompt even though it was busy. We had deviled eggs, fries, and the pork ribs. All of the food was good, though both my husband and I felt it was a little too salty. We also had the whiskey cake of course - it was delicious and totally worth the calories!
google avatar

Yelp
Have always enjoyed this place! Unique in its own way. Food is great! Business meetings, personal meetings whatever the occasion.

Yelp
The Menu and pricing are definitely higher-in, than the exterior appearance suggested to us. On the front of the building it says Fish, but they only have salmon. They have shrimp (grilled, not fried) & grits for $26, everything is on the expensive side. It is Not, in a good way, of what I was expecting. They were very busy, so apparently some folks like what the have to offer. Atmosphere is upscale, in a downscale sort of away. Not sure if that makes sense, I guess you'd have to see it, to understand what I mean. Very clean, and very well-maintained. Menu comes out on a legal size sheet of paper. Not impressed with the menu choices or the pricing. Quality was very good, but not a good value for the price. Server was okay for a "Cotton Patch" experience, but not for a place with these prices! (What little bit we got of) the Shrimp & grits was excellent... it looked more like an appetizer (included a picture if you're interested). I'm not a fan of grits, so you can guess how I felt about that! In my opinion, Only a Fine Dining restaurant should expect customers to pay $26 for what we got, as a main menu item. We absolutely, will not be coming back. Nor would we recommend it to any of our friends. It is located in Valley Ranch, and it's possible the folks in this area may be OK with what they have to offer and at these prices. I would highly encourage you to look at their full menu before going, and be prepared for sticker shock, as to the value you will receive .

Yelp
Dining in on a week night after work, before dinner rush, I was immediately seated. All staff I interacted with respectful. As I had not been there before, the waitress was patient answering all my questions. The menu had a good variety, all within the theme of the restaurant. I was in the mood for a burger and the Tavern Burger did not disappoint. It was cooked well. The ketchup has some unique spices so expect a bit of heat. Ambiance is great for conversations, no overly loud music and intimate lightening. Several seating options with large booths, bar, and covered patio seating. Parking lot is a bit narrow and crowded, but not too bad. Didn't see any EV Chargers.

Yelp
My sweet tooth got the best of me and it was Whiskey Cake to the rescue. I opted for delivery because I was in for the day. This cake is so rich, I never eat it all in one sitting. I recommend heating it up, as well. Very tasty.
google avatar

Heather S.

Yelp
We had the best server, Karolina. We enjoyed all of the food and drinks. Manager came by to see how we were doing and expressed how much we liked everything and how attentive our server was.

Yelp
From the moment I stepped into Whiskey Cake, I knew I was in for a treat. The location is not just a restaurant; it's an experience! The atmosphere is incredibly inviting, blending a rustic charm with a modern twist that creates a cozy yet upscale vibe. It's the perfect spot for both casual outings and special occasions. What truly sets Whiskey Cake apart is their commitment to freshness. The greens in every dish are so fresh, they practically sparkle on the plate. Each bite is a testament to their dedication to quality and farm-to-table philosophy, making everything taste exceptionally clean and delicious. But the pièce de résistance is, without a doubt, the Whiskey Cake dessert. This isn't just a cake; it's a masterpiece! It's large enough to share with the whole table, which is great because you'll want everyone to try a piece of this moist, flavorful delight. The cake is perfectly balanced, with the whiskey flavor enhancing but not overpowering the dish. It's the perfect ending to a fantastic meal. If you're looking for a dining experience that offers fresh, tasty food, a welcoming atmosphere, and a dessert that will leave you dreaming about it for days, Whiskey Cake is the place to be. Don't leave without trying the Whiskey Cake - it's an absolute must!

Yelp
Stopped by for brunch and enjoyed a delicious breakfast. The service was spot on, and the French press coffee was outstanding. I also grabbed a cinnamon roll to go, and they thoughtfully packed all the extras with it! The ambiance and vibes were perfect for chatting and catching up.

Yelp
Nothing like the service in Round Rock, Texas. My chicken sandwich had a chip of ceramic in it from a chipped dinner plate, our waitresses name began with an "I" she kept running her hands down her long black hair as she took orders, not a good habbit around food. She introduced herself took our order and did not return until we literally flagged her down for ketchup, wiskeycake and the tab. No surprise where the chip in my sandwich came from, our dessert plates also had chips, c'mon throw away the chipped dinnerware, your price points afford it. Can't wait for the Fort Worth location to open! Please have the Round Rock staff do the training, PLEASE!!! Other than my sandwich the food was very good.

Yelp
Great brunch place! Ordered the eggs Benedict and croque madame. Eggs Benedict cooked perfectly and so flavorful! The croque madame was good as well but prefer the eggs Benedict. Loved their coffee too
google avatar

Melanie T.

Yelp
Delicious and reliable restaurant with ample seating. The Cold Fashioned 2.0 was delicious and all food options were good too. I would get the Farmers Breakfast next time as the other options were a little too sweet and/or savory for me but everyone left full and happy!

Yelp
Ppl0If you haven't heard of Whiskey Cake, join the crowd. Am I the only one? We've been missing out! I loved this place. We went for brunch at the Las Colinas location and were very pleased. They were coming to the last hour of brunch so things were slowing down. Which was great! The sophisticated atmosphere is nice. Not too fancy but very well appointed. They have many whiskeys, natch, and a great list of craft drinks. We tried the mimosa flight which featured just squeezed juices and it was so yummy. The four of us shared a GIANT, delectable cinnamon roll for an appetizer. Many diners had them on their tables so we took that as our cue. Little bit of a mix up- we received the cinnamon roll for another table. We dug right in before the waitress informed us. Too late. The gentlemen were very polite and she got another one out fairly quickly. This restaurant doesn't rush things so don't stress yourself and the staff out by dining in if you're in a hurry. Call it in and pick up!. We also tried the carrot cake pancakes with lavender cream. The very lightly scented cream was just enough for the pancakes. They tasted like fresh gingerbread more than they did carrot cake but they were very good. For mains, my dining partners and I tried 4 things. My husband had plain old eggs and bacon and he raved about the bacon. Millionaire Candied Bacon here is a standout. You must get it in some form. Galpal had chicken and waffles and she was blown away by the tastiness of it. Her hubby had the unusual eggs Benedict which featured pulled pork and smoked tomato hollandaise and he liked this unusual combo very much. I got the Croque Madam-it (lol) sandwich and it was also quite unusual. It had: Millionaire candied bacon Fried green tomatoes Fontina garlic Mornay sauce Sunny side up eggs Red tomato chutney Mayo Whew! That is quite the mixture, isn't it?! I felt sad that I couldn't tell what everything was. It was kind of a yummy mess. It didn't need mayo, though some may argue that point. It was a good combo and huge!! It came with mixed baby greens salad and shaved ricotta. That salad was great. I really loved this place and can't wait to take my nephew, who's a chef, over to try. Lots of unusual food and who doesn't like a place where a giant cinnamon roll is an appetizer. Go eat here! UPDATE: Just had to go back to Whiskey Cake and just had to tell you guys to get the Butcher Board. It intrigued me that the description is "things we found in the neighborhood and stuff we made". Lol. Hilarious! Of course the waitress (who, by the way, was perfect ) knows what they are offering that day. Y'all, it was one of the best boards I have ever had-and I've had a lot. The elements were: Chorizo salami Little round corn fritters Country type pate Whole seed mustard Grilled little bread ovals - only 3 pieces but they happily brought mire Some thinly sliced meat with a spicy something around the edges-so delicate and so good! And the piece de resistance- tiny, fresh whole carrots, split lengthwise and lightly pickled. Every single thing was a treat and-bracw yourselves- all for $17! What?!? It's the deal of the century. Go get it gang.

Yelp
Wow, this place blew my expectations out of the water!! The New York Strip was insanely juicy and very flavorful! The scallops were a little salty, but they were still pretty good. Also, side note, the Brussel sprout appetizer is KILLER. You NEED to try it. And finally, the Whiskey Cake is a 10/10. It's like a pecan pie, but with a toffee cake base. It was out of this world! The ambiance was super nice with all the bottle candles they have on every surface. And the service was really good! Our server was really nice and was very attentive to our waters and drinks!

Yelp
Great food and ambiance. It's a fun place to go in a group. It can get loud in there. Service was great for us. Definitely try the whiskey flight and their whiskey cake for dessert. Solid choice if you are in the area, but better make reservations if you don't want to wait.

Yelp
Came here for a family birthday brunch. The food was great and of course the Whiskey Cake was delicious. It does have a very loud atmosphere during brunch so don't go here if you want a quiet meal. Also - make sure you have reservations. It's a popular spot and walk-ins were being quoted 60-90 minutes wait. Service was good too, but it was very busy.

Yelp
A great place for a casual dinner. Our group of 4 celebrated a birthday here a few weeks ago, and we were taken care of very well, with solid recos made by our server. The food was very good and we were seated right on time for our resi. Don't skip out on the whiskey cake dessert - it's absolutely delicious.
