I've just moved to the Bay Area from NYC and wanted to check out the Whisky scene. I love bars, and rate them not so much on looks but spirit. I came on on a Friday afternoon, at the time, two people where in the bar. First impression was that it was a good dive bar with what the locals want. The place smelled like musty old rags with a slight undertone of piss. Sean, the bartender was very helpful and more knowledgeable of tequila than whisky; but it seems tequila is what the locals want. The bar was well stocked of whisky (especially Bourbon), and a rather large selection tequila. As a scotch drinker I found more than the usual, and found the selection adequate but a couple of dollars two high. Overall, it was a good place to hang and have a good time. Drink Selection: 4/5 Bar Spirit: 4/5

Great whiskey selection with a dive atmosphere, and they have a pool table. What more could you ask for? Bartender was cool and accommodated a group of knuckleheads. I'll admit we resorted to ordering by a show of hands.

This is a cool dive bar to sit and chill with some friends. There is a pool table and ample seating despite being a pretty narrow bar. The bartenders are really friendly and funny. I have only been there on weekdays so I can't say how the weekend crowd is but it was pretty quiet (not dead) when I've been there.

The bartenders know their whiskeys and are good at giving suggestions. The prices are reasonable to. Which can be hard to find in San Francisco. It is a dive bar. So that might explain the price. Sn extra bonus is they have a pool table.

I love the atmosphere here. The art on the walls is interesting and the bartenders know their whiskey well. They all love to chat about it. The pool table is usually full after 7pm every day.

Used to be a cash-only bar. Still one of my favorite dive bars in the city. Extensive whiskey selection, hip bartenders, jukebox, and two pool tables. You can't ask for much more. If you are up "early" on the weekend you can also get a bacon bloody mary made with brown-sugar chewy bacon from next door.

This is the place to go if you want to explore the world of whiskey. The bartenders are knowledgable and will let you taste a few different whiskeys to find the one that suits you best. The place is divey and kind of smelly, but the bartenders are nice and the whiskey selection can't be beat.

This whiskey girl has finally stumbled upon her favorite whiskey bar!! I'm not a whiskey connoisseur, so the bartender Jamie was super helpful in helping me to decide which types of scotch I would like. Turns out my favorite so far is Great King St.
