Must try!!! Phenomenal coffee and even better staff!! Georgina and Sarah were absolute angels and gave some of the best customer service I’ve had anywhere. Made a darn good latte also. 10/10.

Nice location and friendly staffs. I like sitting couch at the second floor. They have balcony as well. I saw some students studying at the cafe. I’m kinda picky about coffee but they have decaf option and I could change whole milk to almond milk. I relaxed and spent good time.

Came in for a meeting. I didn't order anything this visit. The atmosphere is great outside you can sit and enjoy it on a nice day. There is an upstairs with quiet corners and a more warm feel. Great place to take a break, grab a bit, or meet with someone!

I had a great experience at White Bison Coffee! The interior is absolutely beautiful and the place is spotlessly clean. I ordered a cappuccino, and it was really good—smooth and flavorful. I also picked up a low-carb snack, which was a nice bonus for those watching their diet. Overall, it’s a cozy spot with good coffee. Just shy of a perfect 5 stars, but I’ll definitely be back!

This 12 South location of White Bison Coffee is quite a coffee shop if you haven’t been there before. They’re open till 10pm, with upstairs lounge and fire pits. It matches the vibe of this neighborhood. It’s a standalone coffee shop but they also have bakery items, food items and local souvenirs on ground level. Staff wasn’t the friendliest, which is why I couldn’t rate it 5/5. You can find street-side parking close to the coffee shop, but they don’t have any designated spots. Overall, The lounge upstairs was so cozy that it won me over and will bring me back again and again.

It was a cold day and the warmth of the place was so welcoming. Have been here twice and love their coffee. Bought 2 bags to keep and one to share. Will be back whenever we are in TN.

This place was interesting. Coffee slash mini mart. Lived there coffee part but could have done w/o the grocery part. I did buy a t shirt. Like the merch. Went with the white bison mocha. I would say it was tasty for a chilly night.

First time stopping by! I came here because my go-to on 12th South was closed for the holiday. I grabbed a White Bison Mocha that was great, made with expresso, and fairly priced. The employees were really nice, and there is also a convenience store inside. Apart from coffee, they also serve different types of sandwiches. The second floor is beautiful and perfect for studying. Definitely recommend if in the area!

It's fine in a pinch, service was quite random sometimes good. And one time the person taking the order clearly was having a bad day and I ended up with iced tea instead of coffee. Coffee itself is meh, and I'm sure you can find better options out there

I've never seen a coffee shop this amazing! This coffee shop is not just super pretty on the outside but also on the inside as well. Besides the actual elegance of the building the staff is also friendly and attentive which is always a bonus. No matter where I go I always get the Carmel frap and at this location is was super delicious!

Great experience. Ordered a hot latte and a cold one. Quick service and friendly. Nice place to sit upstairs and watch 12 South. Give it a try- lot quicker to get in and out of the Funky Monkey.

I didn't expect much from a place that has twice daily next to me, and I was surprised because white bison coffee makes decent coffee. I enjoyed the store because it's a convenient place to grab a coffee and any other quick snacks. The area was very clean for a small in and out store. I recommend if you're looking for a good coffee spot. The staff was friendly fast and helped with any questions.

Coffee was delicious but my bagel was dry and unflavorful. Staff was very friendly and attentive however the environment was a little dirty with flies everywhere and tabletops not being wiped down.

I started coming here because I live clize by and the service is friendly. Lots of great sitting areas and ample parking to.

I ordered my drank and waited 15 minutes. The woman who took my drank order skipped my drank and made everyone behind me. Then she rudely said "what are you waiting for?" I retold her my drink order and she told me I had to pay again. I said no thanks and asked for a refund. I was refused a refund, never got a drink and left empty handed Will never come back

White Bison is my absolute favorite place to grab a cup of coffee and study/whatever I need to get done for the day. There are seats downstairs as well as an upstairs where there are couches as well as an outdoor area with couches and a fireplace. All the employees are always super friendly and personable! Brady is always super friendly and asks how we've been doing. I definitely recommend trying White Bison out next time you need your daily caffeine intake :)

Great environment, not so great coffee. I really enjoyed the upstairs seating, especially the enclosed porch with the fire place, it's a really nice environment to just chill or study. The actual cafe part of White Bison included a convenient store area with a bunch of snacks and soda machines and donuts, it was definitely interesting and I hadn't expected it. Overall the vibe of the place was nice and everything was clean. But, the reason I'm giving this place 2 stars is because the coffee itself was not great. I got a mocha and it tasted more like a bitter hot chocolate that comes from a packet. Mochas usually come with some nice milk foam on top of the espresso and chocolate mixture, mine did not and the whole drink was kind of watery. My sister who I went with got a vanilla latte which was not great either it was way too sweet and I couldn't taste the coffee at all.

Meh. People were super nice but this seems like more of a convenience store than a quality coffee shop. The matcha was pretty good but the bagel was not it.

White Bison Coffee is a local TN coffee chain that is currently booming all across middle Tennessee. They currently have 14 total location, 13 of which are in TN and 1 is in AL. This particular White Bison sits in the heart of 12 South and shares its location with a Twice Daily (Convenience store). Both opened in 2018 and for the most part, the building, both inside and out, are still in great shape. Additionally, it was clean, well laid out and organized. The building split in two with White Bison occupying the left side and the convenience store shelves and coolers occupying the right. The store itself is two levels with the second floor being dedicated to seating There is a small window counter downstairs for seating and if the weather is good you can grab one of the lounge seats or tables on the covered front patio. Seating isn't super plentiful, but appears to be enough for the business they do. Service - Absolutely abysmal and truthfully the reason this place did not score higher. When we walked in there were three Associates behind the counter, all on their phones and propped up sitting on the counters. I walked up to the counter and began looking at the menu. This was my first visit to a White Bison, so I had a question if they had a particular drink that I did not see on the menu boards, but saw online. The young lady who came to the register answered my question with "mhmm mmm" and then stood there. I told her I would take one of those and then she rang it up and continued to stand there. She didn't tell me a total or anything, legit just stood there until I paid. Once I paid she took a step back and went back to her phone. At this time another Associate, a young gentleman began making my drink. Once he finished he simply sat it up on the counter and went back to his phone, again saying nothing at all. The third Associate kept her position sitting on the counter during my whole visit. Normally I am really understanding with service given the current state of things, but here the issue isn't staffing, it is the staff themselves. It was a massive turn-off for a new White Bison customer. While the service was terrible, the Iced White Mocha that I got was very well made and super tasty! I can't take that away from them! Overall, I was impressed with the drink, but not the service and vibe that these folks put off. I honestly think the service outweighs the product in this case and given that, I am not going to be apt to return to White Bison, at least this location.

I have loved White Bison for the past few months but unfortunately, their lack of getting the fires fixed has upset my routine and I don't frequent there as often. The gas line (I think) got messed up during the ice storm at the beginning of January and it's the middle of February and it hasn't been fixed yet. It's too cold to sit on the patio without the fires. I've reached out to management and asked employees and no one knows when it will be fixed. By next month, the fires will be unnecessary in that weather. Super frustrating since I work from home and would frequent White Bison multiple times a week. The music is too loud inside to get work done or work on my own music. After having reached out online and hearing nothing back, I have a bad taste in my mouth about the franchise as a whole. I still will go to pick up a coffee but I won't be able to enjoy it again until the weather gets nice which is so beyond frustrating!

Best coffee shop on the street! Nathan is attentive and he makes amazing drinks. I look forward to this place becoming my regular coffee shop!!!

Very rude baristas! It felt like ordering a pour over was an inconvenience. Went back the next morning and they had their holiday hours posted wrongly. (Multiple other customers had been keep waiting) When they addressed the issue, the door was rudely shut in my face!

I stopped in and was surprised by the shared location/ business model. There is an upstairs that looked to be a nice tucked-away place you could most likely work without too much disturbance! The downstairs is shared with a small marketplace. Think posh 7Eleven. TBH, not my most favorite vibe for a coffee shop, but a very clean and well-run business! This feels like a place I'd love to frequent if I were a commuter on foot in NYC or LA. The parking options are so limited, I could not trust trying to stop here quickly on my way to work on the regular. I DID stop here on my way to work this time though, and parked in a reserved spot cuz the tiny public lot was full. Thankfully, I only had one couple in front of me. I ordered a black coffee which was a medium roast and tasted yummy. I also got their seasonal Apple Caramel cookie and I was in HEAVEN! It tasted like the best version of Apple Cinnamon oatmeal baked into a cookie with caramel - I will be dreaming of that until next year, for sure!

The coffee was just okay. I would say on the same level as Dunkin' but not local shop levels. The person that took my order was rude, but the person making my drink and serving it was super sweet. This place works in a pinch but I won't seek it out. Big perk was the stinkin cute dog that made an appearance and hung out on their cool porch.

We had a couple of Beehives and an iced coffee with almond milk and some vanilla syrup. The Beehives were okay, but the iced coffee was just gross, it tasted really sour and you couldn't taste the vanilla at all. The store itself feels like you're in a convenience store which is really odd. Not that we were looking to sit around but the atmosphere just feels weird.

Coffee okay. Service AWFUL. The red headed woman who served me was extremely unfriendly. I purposely tried smiling and making eye contact and saying "hey, thanks so much" because she was so ice cold. Nothing. Location is the only good thing about this place. Go up the road to Frothy Monkey.

Just adding onto the reviews on customer service. It was easily one of the worst experiences I've had in years. The woman at the register was very cold which doesn't bother me at all. I don't need interaction. Whatever. But... she got the coffee order wrong which created a string of issues. When I told the second lady who made the order that the order was wrong (they made a whipped cream, chocolate drink which no one wanted) she was visibly pissed. I thought - wow she must be annoyed the cashier plugged it in wrong. Some employee beef! But no. She's just a super mean person. After repeating the order directly to her, she got it wrong again (she added chocolate syrup to an iced latte). When I said (nicely) this isn't what we wanted, she was livid. Yelled at me "OK I MADE A MISTAKE". Then she yelled when I repeated the order (I said nicely; I really just don't want you to have to make it again). She then yelled "are you going to watch me make it"??? So I didn't. When she handed it to me I triple checked it was right by repeating my order and she yelled "IT'S CORRECT." And was like just pissed and angry and awful. Anyways. It sort of ruined my morning being yelled at a bunch for their mistakes. I was nice the whole time even saying "hey at least you guys get to enjoy these free drinks!" But no. The lady is mean and horrible. I walked out thinking man she must be having a terrible day. No way I'll write a yelp review and cause her anymore trouble. But then I read the yelp reviews and realized this isn't a one day thing and maybe management should take notice and help transition her to a different role that doesn't involve customer service. Coffee wasn't great either. The espresso is all pre made, not fresh. We just didn't want to wait in line at Portland Brew.

This is a cute little place with a convenience store on the inside. The mediums are pretty large and we enjoyed the vanilla latte and peppermint tea on the outdoor seating in the front, under a heater.

This place is a great alternative to the other packed coffee shops on 12th South, plus it's the only convenience store within a half mile in any direction. The staff is really awesome, especially Shonda and the new GM. Plus, the balcony is one of the secret gems of 12th south. Definitely the cheapest place to sit and have a couple beers of coffee with friend.

It's hit or miss. When it goes well great food, coffee ... when it doesn't can't find parking, drinks wrong, sandwich's wrong waiting, for no reason ... I've even been to the one on Charlotte an it was closed because no one came to work... yet, When everything is smooth it is my favorite place to stop.

Very basic coffee shop, kinda like a local version of Starbucks. Coffee is good, food good though it was supposed to be hot and was cold in the middle and bottom. I like that they include nutrition and calorie info. The logo is super cool too.

If you want to have a difficult time buying anything from an establishment, come here. You have to ask someone at the coffee shop to come get things behind the counter for you but you can't checkout there. So then you have to wait in line for the coffee shop portion to check out. So the line is two times as long as it should be. I eventually left without getting anything. I have been here several times and it's like this most of the time. It needs a dedicated person who can run the convenience store and dedicated people for the coffee shop. Trying to run understaffed just frustrates customers and your employees. Don't be stingy

This is my (and many others) neighborhood coffee shop. Been coming here routinely for years. Lately there are bad reviews about one employees' rude attitude and constant wrong drink orders (and then she gets angry at the customer for her making the wrong drink or try's to make them pay again for the right order). Yes, I (and many other people) know exactly which employee this is. She is more than rude. She is nasty. She coughs in peoples coffees (please where a mask if you come to work with a cough!) and they return it because they don't feel comfortable drinking it and she asks "what's your problem". I could go on and on. I can't believe a great place like Bison in the best and friendliest neighborhood in Nashville would continue to let this person continue to drive customers away. I dread going to the counter when I see her at the register and even more dread it when I see her making the drinks. Love Bison but until this is dealt with, I can't change my rating to the 5-star I know they usually are.

Very weird vibe. Super loud music, and it's like you're in a convenience store off the freeway with a coffee counter to the left, which in turn looks more like a juice counter at a gym. The guy behind it looked me up and down like I walked into the wrong shop (maybe because I'm still masking indoors, even though I'm vaxxed, and he wasn't wearing a mask? I'm masking as a courtesy to the immunocompromised and people who can't get vaxxed for other reasons, maybe he should consider doing the same). Most importantly, the coffee (an iced coffee with a splash of oat) was just... bad. Not even 'meh, I'll drink this cold beverage on a hot day'- OK. I didn't want to finish it. Another reviewer described it as 'slightly off, sour' and that kind of sums it up. Hit up Frothy Monkey, just a few blocks away. Much better! (And friendlier staff)

This place sucks. Read the bad reviews as I think many of the 5 star reviews are bogus. No one cares when you walk in. The design feels like you are in a Seven Eleven or in a highway truck stop getting ready to buy $20 worth of junk food. To make matters worse, let's talk about the actual coffee. It's pretty marginal, and borderline bad. The irony here is that next store, is Portland Brew, which blows away White Bison. And yes, it costs $.75 cents more, but totally worth it.

Coffee is not bad at all. The earlier you come the better the people are lol. They are in a gas station so it gets a bit ratchet after a certain time of the day just like any gas station on earth. The people will treat you the way you treat them, So yeah.

The white bison is like strangely connected to a convenient store type establishment, but it is SO good. Definitely recommend stopping in

my (visiting-from-out-of-town) friends and i needed a place with the wifi and the caffeine, but also wanted non-coffee-shop snacks. thank the remote work deities, we stumble upon white bison. this place is absolute perfection. 7-11-meets-coffee-shop-meets-lounge-meets-happiness. typical coffee and tea selections, both local and nationally-recognized snacks, and plenty of indoor and outdoor space to sit, lounge, and (if need be) study/work for hours on end. the fireplaces were perfect for the slight winter chill. definitely the best spot to bring your laptop and zombied-out self.

Horrible service! 4 people "working" and only two customers, yet they all spent 15 min propped on the counter talking loudly about their wigs and being attacked by a hypothetical mountain lion. Crazy thought...make the customers drink...THEN analyze how you'd fight off an imaginary animal.

The place look good inside, my order was a scrambled eggs with sausage, was ready really fast, that was weird but I didn't pay attention because I was hungry and then I open the container doesn't look good, the taste was a average for a gas station food, and I saw the label on the lid said keep refrigerated, for me the meaning is because is just a microwaved food, also I got a strawberry smoothie that they make from a concentrated syrup or something like that...

AMAZING CHAI!! I love getting my chai latte from White Bison. Honestly, it's much better than the one from Starbucks...and I love Starbucks also! It's spicy, very spicy - which I love!

First time in Tennessee with my family on vacation and this is the first coffee shop of the day. Totally shit on by customer. Nobody's happy here. No music and no welcoming. The motto is right in front of them and they still don't know how to do things? Weird

I live in 12 South and this is my go to place to meet friends for coffee and catch up! They have an upstairs balcony with fire pits and it's perfect for social distancing and enjoying the outdoors

Excellent coffee from this place. The employees were very helpful and good customer service. We had a blueberry pastry with our coffee. I had a Bison Mocha and my wife had the Christmas Latte. All the employees wore masks and all the patrons were respectful and wore masks as well.

The coffees that both my husband I received tasted bitter and very sour. It's almost like maybe the milk was spoiled. We took one sip once we walked outside and threw them away.

Stopped by for an evening pick-me-up before going out with some friends and we loved the whole experience. The venue itself was adorable, a great hang out spot. The baristas were friendly and engaging. Our drinks were both tasty-- I got a vanilla latte and my husband got a white bison mocha (think a basic white chocolate mocha). We also got a couple of pastries- a danish and a s'mores cookie and they were also great.

Great variety, whether you're looking for coffee or hot breakfast, or just want to grab a snack or beverage and go. Very fast too. I went here everyday that I was in town, and didn't have to wait 20 minutes like other places nearby.
