An Unforgettable Luxury Experience! What truly made my stay extraordinary was the incredible reception team. Joao, Sandra, Sarah, and Anna went above and beyond to ensure everything was flawless. They welcomed me with genuine warmth, remembering my name and preferences throughout my stay. Joao professionalism and calm efficiency set the tone right away, while Sandra’s friendly smile made every interaction feel personal. Sara was always one step ahead, anticipating every need before I even had to ask, and Ana’s helpfulness and charm made check-out as delightful as check-in. The room itself was immaculate, spacious, and tastefully decorated — pure luxury without pretense. The breakfast offered a stunning variety of fresh, high-quality options, and the service was impeccable. I’ve stayed in many luxury hotels around the world, but few manage to combine sophistication with such heartfelt hospitality. Thanks to the front desk this felt less like a hotel stay and more like visiting friends who truly care about your comfort.

We started our Portugal holiday here. It was the perfect place to get over our jet lag before going on a cycling tour of the Alentejo region. We loved this hotel as it is small, very comfortable, attractive, and has terrific service. Our corner suite was very comfortable with a lovely view and its own patio where we could keep our rental bicycles. We cycled all over the beautiful island and came back to our hotel for naps, meals, snacks, and to lie around the pool. Ponta Delgada is just 6km away and was an easy bike ride. We dined at the hotel the first night and the food was excellent. The same area is where breakfast is served and includes indoor and outdoor seating and nice fire pits for late night drinks. Breakfast was delicious and we could order what we wanted, not a buffet. The second night the gal at the front desk recommended a nearby local, casual, family-run restaurant which served real, authentic Portuguese food and it was terrific. We were very pleased with this hotel and would recommend it to anyone visiting the island. The view is stunning and the service is excellent.

Wife and I arrived late our first night, they had a prepared small meal for us that got us through for the evening, the next morning was an amazing breakfast of eggs Benedict, fresh fruit, juice, local cheese and fresh bread. Our stay only got better from there. The infinity pool to our private balcony overlooking the ocean and the mountains and the town. Ready and willing are their staff to help you with anything you need. Directions to the next attraction is only a text message away on the White provided cell phone you receive when you arrive. I would definitely recommend a stay. I know we’ll be back soon.

The attention to detail is second to none, from the elegant décor and flawless service to the warm smiles of every staff member who made me feel like royalty. My room was a masterpiece of luxury: spacious, beautifully designed, and with breathtaking views that I’ll never forget.What truly sets this hotel apart, though, is the genuine hospitality. The staff anticipated every need before I even thought of it, and their professionalism combined with heartfelt care made my stay unforgettable.

This is a very nice hotel, one of the best in Sao Miguel I think. The rooms are elegant and the patio overlooking the ocean is definitely its best feature. The desk staff are responsive and able to fulfill many requests, including booking activities and cabs. The restaurant is not quite as good as it probably should be in a hotel aspiring to this quality. The vegetarian options are quite limited and not as described on the menu. They lacked certain items even for reserved dinners. And generally I thought the food quality was good, not great. Overall though a very positive experience.

While travelling, we decided to have a dinner due to the amazing reviews on Google map and were totally disappointed with the service level. The views and interior are stunning,the food is quite good too, however the service is awful. We have to: - ask several times for our order and still didn't get all dishes, - remind the waiter to bring classes, drinks, still water. - the dirty plates weren't taken away in between the courses. Hope this review will contribute to service level.

There is not much I can add to the many wonderful reviews of this exceptional hotel. The staff were all so warm and welcoming - everyone really went above and beyond to make our stay special. We were in Ocean Suite 4 and the view could not be more spectacular. We loved sitting out on our balcony in the evenings looking at the stars, and we slept listening to the ocean waves every night. It truly was the ultimate in relaxation. The small number of rooms ensured a sense of peace and tranquility you simply don’t get at larger resorts. The food was phenomenal. Breakfast each day was delicious and the one dinner we had at the hotel’s restaurant was amazing - we felt like we had a private chef. The walking path along the ocean near the hotel is beautiful. It was a nice way to unwind after our adventures throughout the island each day (definitely recommend renting a car to explore). I cannot recommend White enough!

I had an amazing experience at Hotel White. From the moment I arrived, the reception staff were incredibly welcoming, professional, and helpful. They made check-in smooth and were always ready with a smile and great local tips throughout my stay. The food at the hotel was another highlight — fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. Breakfast offered a wide variety of options, and every meal I had was full of flavor and clearly made with care. Highly recommend Hotel White for anyone looking for great service and excellent dining!

Absolutely gorgeous! Once you enter this place, it's like another paradise. This cliff side boutique hotel welcomes you by friendly staff (Rebecca!) and a delicious, I mean DE-LI-CIOUS welcome drink!! Check in was easy, but one of our rooms weren't ready so I roamed around taking in the breath taking views. The ambiance and environment felt very Mediterranean with everything being white, very Santorini-esk. It was less than 10 mins and we got our room. We had the ocean view rooms looking over the infinity pool and lounge area. Every detail from entry, waiting area, our rooms, outdoor amenities were on point! We had the biggest balcony compared to the others, but we hardly used it. We spent most of our time at the infinity pool (6 hours!!!) and enjoyed our lunch swimming and lounging around. It was much needed after an adventurous and intense 1 week in the Azores. We had dinner reservations in the outdoor patio, which we loved a lot. Nice atmosphere and the food was exceptional. Even the bread and butter was out of this world! Shave butter!!! WTH?! We all fell in love with everything about this place and their culinary. Every dish we order was phenomenal. Not sure if it's seasonal, but the rockfish with shrimp and crab polenta was to die for! The boys loved their aged sirloin with smoke bone marrow, but I would love another rockfish dish right now. The dessert? Muah!!! Love love love! I had the pineapple yogurt dessert and I'm in love all over again! The outdoor lounge area has a firepit where you can enjoy the stars at night, but we were too tired. Opt for an early-ish night, so I can wake up for breakfast! I don't think I need to rave again about how amazing their food is. Breakfast was included with our package and everything is made-to-order. Muah! Loved it and I ordered 2 more of the welcome drink lol! It's just that good! If you're in the Azores and on Ponta Delgado Island, this is a must! You can hotel hop if you want (we did), but end your trip here. You won't disappoint! Our friends got a massage before we left, so it's an all in one package at this place. We would love to come back next time!

The moment you step to the entry way, you know this place is something special. White is very reminiscent of Santorini -- which I have never visited as my husband pointed out when I made the comment to staff. However, I've spent years looking at photos of the Greek islands and dreaming of visiting. Natural wood, white and gray with touches of blue. White is beautifully appointed. The room is private and very comfortable. Best of all, the staff is phenomenal. Standouts were Joel (?) at the front desk and Sandra but everyone was genuinely welcoming and made us feel right at home. Don't even get me started on the food. Unbelievably good. A quick glance at my Yelp page and you will know that I have a serious love affair with food. The best meals we had in the Azores happened in the quaint little dining room. Breakfast each morning was perfect. The scrambled eggs, lightly sweet yogurt and infused water added up to the best breakfast we had our whole trip and I cannot function without breakfast! Do not delay making a reservation in the dining room for dinner. There are 7 tables and you don't want to be left out of this experience. The food is phenomenal. My husband says the parrotfish was delicious, as were the accompanying roasted vegetables. The jumbo shrimp I had both nights comes to me in my dreams. The little touches here (individual blankets, a fire pit) are just the icing on a scrumptious cake. I've been many places but White is the most beautiful, tranquil hotel I've ever had the pleasure of staying in. It apparently opened in July, which explains the incredible deal. Once word spreads, this place will be a hard-to-get reservation. I would easily pay 5x the price to stay here. White is a one of a kind experience which I highly recommend.

This hotel is absolutely stunning. The rooms are immaculate and the decor is on point. The cliff side location makes for an amazing infinity edge pool. The food is AH-MAZING! The best we had on the island (and on our entire Azores trip!). The staff is so helpful and attentive - we had a wonderful check-in process with Rebecca, and Sandra was always there to answer any/all questions and ensure our stay was perfect. This place is a true gem.
