Where to Find the Best Polish Food in London - Eater London

"Formerly Londek Café, the slick little place still serves solid Polish classics like bigos — a cabbage and sausage hunter’s stew — and ever-changing specials. Plus, bread baskets with smalec — lard and crispy bacon bits — are delicious alone, or to dip into soups infused with spiced sausage and vegetables. Desserts of sugared pierogi, blueberry pancakes and brick-sized slices of cake provide a sweet ending to the hearty meals. White Goose is owned by Polish celebrity, Magda Gessler, who hosts Poland’s Kuchenne Rewolucje — a version of Kitchen Nightmares. —Shekha Vyas" - Stephen Buranyi

Me and my partner are frequent customers to this restaurant and I need to admit we were never let down. The staff is very professional, friendly and I can tell that girls really do care about the customers. The atmosphere created by them is one of the most important reasons that keeps me coming back to White Goose. In terms of food, dishes are served and presented really well. I have been to many restaurants across London, Poland or Europe itself and - in my opinion - dishes at White Goose don’t fail comparing to all those appreciated, well-known and popular spots elsewhere. I like the idea of ra short rotating menu so there’s no way you’d quickly get used to what’s served, there’s always something new coming up next. Also, the desserts are extraordinary. Apple pie served warm with ice-creams and berries is an absolute delight. I’m really glad I can have a good taste of my national cuisine just around the corner. Guys, you do a great job, keep it like that 💪🏼!

I am very positively surprised. I did read those negative opinions in here and I assume that some of you, guys, have been to a different place. The staff is so kind and helpful, always smiling, the atmosphere they create is just great. Miss Wioletta is a diamond there - I direct a special thank you to her. Food is tasty, portions are fair, prices are fair, too. I will definitely recommend White Goose to others. Thank you very much and see you next time :)

Excellent Polish cuisine in a simple but pleasant interiour. It's excellent value for money with large portions, and the staff are lovely. We went on Wednesday evening and there was no crowd, weekends are probably much busier and you'll need to book in advance. Highly recommend it!

If you have been to a Madga Gessler restaurant you come to expect yummy hearty Polish food, in a relaxed non-formal environment, with a focus on quality. While White Goose delivers on the aesthetics it falls short in the food and service department. To much attention is placed on the presentation and layout of the dishes and not enough on the taste. The same applies to the interior of the restaurant; nicely decorated but the seating is incredibly uncomfortable relying on cushions to provide padding. The interior is narrow only allowing for stall seats and bench seats which are functional but not comfortable. The menu is what you would expect from a bistro or home kitchen restaurant, offering traditional Polish dishes including duck, goose and dumplings. The soups without a doubt are the tastiest items (the sour rye soup was fantastic) on the menu. The goose and duck where slightly overcooked and lacked seasoning. The desserts, usually a sure bet in most Polish restaurants, where average with small portion sizes. White Goose is not cheap either. £16 for a goose tigh and £4.50 for a slice of cake. Location wise it is a located in a quiet Stratford neighborhood a ten minute walk from Stratford Station. The White Goose Bistro by Madga Gessler could be one of those great London gems but it requires a lot of polishing.

As well as different restaurants of Magda Gessler this one serve traditional polish goose directly from Poland and different delicious dishes. I specious recommend you soup from raspberry tomatoes, the best tomaro soup I ever tasted all over the world

This place opened new right next to my work place. Ive tried majority of the options on there menu and everything tastes amazing!!! They also have a variety of different options on there menu and they also have halal options which I think is amazing . It's a really calm, clean and relaxing environment, very great to work in also. The staff are also so friendly which makes it 5 star plus! Highly recommend.
