Google
Loved the wine flights! Amazing pairings with exceptional pricing! 😊 a delicious addition to our afternoon at Pike Place

Google
The hidden gem is located in the Pike Market tunnels and offers breath taking views of the mountains and water front. The wine is pretty good too!

Alexy F.

Google
Had a great experience here! Wines are different than any others I've tried anywhere before, and the bartender did a great job explaining the differences we could expect. While I had some wines that were not my favorite I found multiple wines that I wanted full pours of! Would definitely come back here if I'm ever in town again!

Google
First of all, the location of White Heron Cellars is simply perfect. If you're looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the busy Pike's Market, this cozy wine bar is just the ticket. The serene and peaceful atmosphere provides a much-needed respite from the crowds and noise upstairs. The views from White Heron Cellars are also stunning. From the bar, you can gaze out at the Puget Sound and take in the beautiful Seattle skyline. The combination of excellent wine and breathtaking scenery makes for an unforgettable experience. Speaking of the wine, the selection at White Heron Cellars is absolutely top-notch. From bold reds to crisp whites, there is a wine for every palate. The knowledgeable staff are always happy to make recommendations and help you discover new favorites. And here's something that sets White Heron Cellars apart from other wine bars: the owner is incredibly hospitable and accommodating. They even allowed us to bring in our own piece of smoked salmon to enjoy with our wine! That kind of personal touch really makes all the difference. In summary, I highly recommend White Heron Cellars to anyone looking for an exceptional wine bar experience. With its peaceful atmosphere, stunning views, outstanding wine selection, and welcoming owner, this hidden gem in Pike's Market is not to be missed.

Google
This location exudes a warm and inviting atmosphere, offering a delightful panorama of the sound and the charming Pike Place area. The cost for a tasting is quite reasonable, and while the wine itself presents a unique flavor profile, it leans heavily towards citrus notes, which may be too tangy for my personal preference. The service provided is satisfactory.

Trinity S.

Google
Thave this place at 2 stars just for the great view and friendly staff. However, I wish she had warned us about the uniqueness of their wine selection. It's a Swedish wine which is more acid which gives it a vinegar forward taste. It was some of the least enjoyable wine I've ever tasted. I would never recommend someone go here (unless you're into Swedish wines maybe). It's a shame such a good location is wasted on such a bad wine selection. If you visit, ask for details on the wine before purchasing.

Google
As an extremely regular winedrinker and member of multiple wine clubs, this wine is UNDRINKABLE. We both tried just one sip of 2 different whites and couldn't stomach another. The closest resemblance to both was rubbing alcohol. The staff were lovely and the setting was charming, just need some different wines!

Sheala

Google
The view is absolutely beautiful, and we were really hoping to love the wine—especially since this is a local, family-owned winery. Unfortunately, the wines were awful. My husband chose the full tasting and I opted for just the reds. Neither one of us completed the tastings because the flavor was so off… We're not sure if it was a matter of personal taste or something else, but the flavor profiles were rancid and vinegary. That said, the setting is lovely and the staff was warm and welcoming. It's a great spot to relax and take in the scenery, but wouldn’t recommend it based on the wine alone.

Yelp
Nice little wine bar with a view of the Sound. Some beer available as well. Friendly service.
google avatar

Rima Z.

Yelp
I had such high hopes for this place. Beautiful view, nice interior design, tucked away in a quiet part of the market. The person pouring the wine was patient, but not overly forthcoming with flavor profiles. I was allowed to taste all of the whites and the rose. The rose was very sweet - it tasted like strawberry koolaid. The whites, however, all tasted like vinegar or acid. So we went with the rose. To offset the wine, we ordered fennel salami, Gouda, and some olives. The olives were a nice mix and not too briny. The salami was not very flavorful and not a very appealing color. The cheese was good, but a very small amount for the price.

Yelp
Such a great little spot! We stumbled on it when we were in dire need of a snack and even my 6 year old enjoyed it. Tiny place with lovely views, delicious cheeses, salami, and chocolates, and of course, wine. We sat, played some games, and took in the view with snacks for a few minutes to recharge, and it was just the thing we needed after the crowded upstairs market.

Yelp
A "secret" wine bar in the back of Pike Place market. This was recommended on a food tour I did, so I came back another day to try. I thought the flight prices were very reasonable. I chose the rose and 3 whites. The server was very attentive and came over after I finished each tasting to pour the next. There was also self serve water. All the wines I tried had some very unique and interesting flavors. My favorite was the rose of Syrah. It was not sour or tart like most rose's I've tried. It was smooth and lightly flavored in my opinion. Definitely worth checking out.

Yelp
A nice wine tasting experience and the heart of Pike Place Market. Great views of the bay, ample seating and the ability to order snacks and light plates to enjoy with your wine. Staff is friendly, helpful and attentive. Wine was good, but nothing particularly exceptional. The sweet wines were perhaps a little too sweet and salty for my preferences, and as a result, it threw off the taste of some of the dry wines that we enjoyed a little later. The food offerings were tasty, and paired well with the wines - particularly the chocolates with the red wines.
google avatar

Lisa P.

Yelp
This is a lovely little wine bar with amazing views of Elliot Bay. The bartender is friendly and knowledgeable. I really wanted to love it. But.... The wine, which is really the whole point, is subpar to put it delicately. We tried 2 different whites. Took 2 sips and couldn't stomach more. So we tried a red, with the same result. Sadly, we left 3 full glasses on the table. If they changed their wine list I would love to come back here to enjoy the ambience with good wine.

Yelp
A very tiny casual place with some nice views of the Ferris wheel. It's situated in the middle of the hustle bustle of the pike place market, inside the building. I came here with my cousin and we discovered this while walking inside pike place market. It's a family owned vineyard and has a small selection of wines on the menu. When we were there the owner was around and was lovely to talk with. We got their cheese and crackers along with a tasting flight to share. Ordered a wine each after that. If you're looking to take a break from the market rush and enjoy a drink and a bite, it's a great spot for conversations with a nice view. I'd say go for the "tiny wine bar in the middle of bustling market experience". The wines were average but I enjoyed taking a pause :)
google avatar

Carolyn M.

Yelp
We thought the atmosphere and setting was lovely. We shared a wine flight of 8 wines. It's fine we had to share a glass but to keep pouring different wines in the same glass seemed tacky to me. We were eating cheese and meats and the glass was greasy. It also would've been nice if the gentleman had shared something or anything about the wines. Just some kind of factoid or info would've felt more like other tastings we've had. Instead he just poured in our single greasy glass. I asked my husband if he'd go back because he less picky than myself. He said no he wouldn't.

Yelp
This place is a must go if you are at Pike's Place Market and love wine tasting! The owner was super kind and awesome. The bar seating overlooks the water and on a nice sunny day it is the perfect moment to just relax. You can do 3 reds + 1 Rose or 3 whites + 1 Rose for $8 . They had a decent selection of snacks as well! Total was under $25 for two tasting, 1 meat, 1 cheese and crackers! So worth it! They do serve a few beers, ciders ect if you aren't a wine person but need a little spot to take a break before tackling more of Pike's Market place.
google avatar

Samantha G.

Yelp
This is a little spot tucked away inside Pike Place Market. There's a couple of tables, a couple of bar stools at the order counter, and several stools along the window. Spoiler: the window stools offer a great view. There's a couple of different flights you can taste, as well as several individual wines. They also offer a small menu of snacks. My friend and I both got the flights of white wine and shared a couple of cheeses with crackers. For the flights, each glass is poured after you finish the previous one. We completely loved the roussanne one! (So much so we came back again the next day for more.) We had a lovely time here and really enjoyed relaxing, going at a leisurely pace, and sampling the wines (all were great). Definitely recommend a stop here!

Yelp
I have to be honest. As always. This place is charming and quaint but the wine is just so so. They do serve a few beers of wine isn't your jam. The owner is super friendly and fun to chat with about WA, about wine, and usually fun music is on too. I enjoy stopping in when visiting the marketplace as it is a quiet reprieve with an amazing view. A few snacks on the menu too. The rose Syrah has an interesting smell which may not resonate with your nostril's. I'd stick to the reds. Worth stopping by definitely. Happy holidays Yelp.

Yelp
Service was great ! Beautiful setting ! Didn't understand the taste of the white wines ! Didn't understand the very strong acidic whites ! Pinot and Merlot were good !
google avatar

Yelp
Intimate, casual, and beautiful view over the waterfront! I'm only writing more because Yelp will not post this if I didn't have more characters.
google avatar

Bethany L.

Yelp
This review is hard to write for two reasons. One - the views were immaculate; it was such a lovely experience to just sit and enjoy. And two - the service was fantastic and personable. Unfortunately, I hated the wine. I did the tasting of all seven, including the late harvest. I did enjoy the late harvest - but it's hard to hate something with so much sugar. I overheard another patron not enjoy the wine, and one of the staff mentioned they make peculiar wine and the taste definitely isn't for everyone. Overall, I feel bad because they do seem passionate about their craft - but the wine simply was not for me.
google avatar

Janice K.

Yelp
This bar has a seating area overlooking the bay and happy hour wine. The owner is friendly and gave us a good recommendation on food.
google avatar

Gabriela R.

Yelp
We flew in to late to enjoy the market but luckily Josh kept this awesome spot open a little longer than the rest of the spots. It's a cute spot with great views, Decor and even better conversation. You get a great view of the water and Farris wheel, he offers wine and a limited amount of beer and honestly that's all I got to experience for the short amount of time I was here. I'll definitely come back soon.
google avatar

Chara C.

Yelp
Love the ambiance here. Small, quaint, and a beautiful view over the waterfront. Great lighting that fills the room. Service was on point, the (owner?) guy was very attentive and ready to fill up my glass for every part of the tasting, every time right as I set it down after sipping my last drop. Wines were varying - very wild flavors on the amigne, interesting notes for the rosé (in a good way), very unique forward cherry taste on the pinot noir, kind of a light finish syrah that didnt linger much on the tongue. Overall would go again, perfect for a date, and light bites avail as well.

Yelp
Wowee, wowee. This was such an incredible experience. One of the top highlights of our trip to the PNW. The views, the company, the wine, and the reasonable prices... I mean, does it get better than that?! Since it was just the two of us plus one other patron, we got to chat with the owners quite a bit. They're really awesome people, we honestly would have sat around talking all afternoon. And the other person there was also from Kentucky! Small world. Big shout out to the views here, seriously. It was just so pleasant sitting and watching the water/boats, sipping on wine. The perfect afternoon at Pike Place. This is the number one place I recommend to friends visiting Seattle now. If I'm ever back in town, you better bet I'll be dropping in again!
google avatar

Eli S.

Yelp
I'm not sure how you can afford such an expensive shop location in the heart of pikes place and have wine that taste live vinegar, but somehow they have achieved the impossible. The atmosphere was decent though
google avatar

MarkAndMiranda C.

Yelp
Local (Washington) winery run by super kind folks. They've got some snacks and an amazing view of the ocean - right in Pike Place Market!
google avatar

Ashley E.

Yelp
Try the Amigne! It is amazing! But apparently it is a contentious wine...no idea why because it's delicious Josh changed my life by introductions me to the Amigne He needs a raise! So we had the wine flight of 7 wines, and we had the Hippocras, which was soooo good! It is a spiced wine that is served warm. This place was awesome and Josh was super helpful and informative. We also had the crackers, olives, garlic basil goat cheese, walnuts, and white chocolate passion fruit I'll definitely be back!
google avatar

Sondra Z.

Yelp
Nice view but the wine was pretty average.
google avatar

Vanessa O.

Yelp
The service was good. The view amazing. The wine selection, blahhhhh. Maybe it's me but most of the selections on the tasting menu left this vinegar taste in my mouth. It was to be seven total but I think I tapped out after four. The late harvest was an additional fee and we assumed it would've been ok but I really couldn't take anymore. With a different selection, we might be able to rate this spot a bit higher.
google avatar

Octavio O.

Yelp
The wine flight experience was great! The view overlooking the pier was awesome too. Great vibes and friendly staff, loved this place. The wine was delicious as well. Will be buying a bottle of the Amigne to take back home!

Celeste O.

Yelp
We stumbled across this place while exploring Pike Place Market. We mostly had the place to ourselves and it was a nice quiet spot away from the noise and bustle of the main marketplace area. The wine tasting menu was delicious and very reasonably priced. My boyfriend and I split the wine tasting and also ordered the peppered goat cheese, which came with crackers and was so tasty. Our server was kind and polite. Our favorite wine was the Roussanne. Definitely recommend trying this spot out.

Trent B.

Yelp
Went to their pike place tasting room and enjoyed the wines there ordered a case of mixed varietals, including Amigne 2020. Rose of Syrah 2021 and their Mariposa, Vineyard Pike place red wine. We started drinking them within a month or so they were all bad. I had never yet experienced wine that turned vinegar but every bottle I opened that's what I found.
google avatar

Raveena S.

Yelp
This was one of my favorite hidden gems I found in Pikes Place! You get 7 tastings for $11 and an extra sweet roussanne tasting for another $2 (definitely worth it). I'm not an expert wine taster at all but the you could easily taste different notes and flavors in the wines. You can sit by the window that overlooks the water and is so calming. There are also truffles, cheeses and meats from other local businesses you can sample while you drink the wines! The owner would refill my wine glass as I finished one of the tastings and would explain what was unique about that wine. I would highly recommend checking this place out!
google avatar

Danielle V.

Yelp
I'm so sorry to write this. The views are amazing and service is great. The wine I have to be honest is so bad. We did the seven flight and most of the wines have this acetone/vinegar finish. I have no idea what polish remover taste like, but I feel this is close. Please forgive me because I hate giving this review to such a friendly staff member and a place that seems to care a lot about their wines. I just want to give an honest review about the wines because it was quite sad for our party.

Kiran ..

Yelp
Awesome tasting room with delicious and affordable wine!! Will definitely come back again.
google avatar

Jennifer J.

Yelp
One of the best things about Pike Place Market is exploring all of the nooks and crannies below the main market area. And on one recent Friday a pal and I happened upon Northwest Tastings and enjoyed a mid-morning wine tasting (with a view)! For $5 we got to try several wines. And the price of the tasting was taken off of the bottles we bought. They even offer a chocolate sampling for an additional $3 - which (unfortunately) we didn't notice until after we were done with our wine tasting. I guess this just gives us a good reason to go back! I have to assume this might be about the most amazing wine place in Seattle to enjoy during one of our legendary local sunsets. Remind me to go back later in the day next time!
google avatar

Jerry H.

Yelp
$11 for a 7 wine tasting flight! Nice view, great wines. Also cheese, cracker and chocolates available.

Dave W.

Yelp
A great experience! Great local wine (at a very good price too), extremely friendly service and a lovely view out of the window. We will definitely be back next time we are in Seattle.

M C.

Yelp
If you want the most amazing views and wine... experience the serene quiet of Seattle and enjoy the views of the Olympic mountains Omg this lace is it !!!! The staff is so nice and friendly
google avatar

Mike L.

Yelp
The view from this place is incredible - enough to warrant the second star. But, if I'm honest, like a number of reviews I read, these wines are remarkably sour - nearly vinegar. I tried the entire flight, because I didn't want to miss a potential gem. Sadly, there wasn't anything I could find that was passable. The service was kind and earnest, but the product just isn't what I'm accustomed to.
google avatar

Michele G.

Yelp
First time here. The owner very friendly and knowledgeable about the wine and chocolate that we tried. Great view from the tasting room as well. You kinda have to hunt for this little tasting room but once you find it, well worth your stop.

Yelp
Tucked away off a less-traveled down ramp into the heart of Pike Place Market is a quiet and inviting wine bar with an amazing view of West Seattle, the islands and sound. New since November 2017, the proprietor (Cameron) is personable and a fun chat about starting and maintaining the bar and its sole source for wine, White Heron Cellars. It carries small bites of charcuterie sourced locally, as well as chocolates and cheeses (soon), also local creations. The wines are currently a unique sampling of white varietals (Roussanne and Amigne) and a rosé and two regional reds (Malbec and Pinot). The view from the window bar is a place to sip, be inspired, to contemplate the universe, or watch seagulls roost or hand glide on the wind. It's not difficult to imagine sidling up during a thunderstorm and watching the show with a friend or loved or one's own thoughts and a well-worn journal. The price point for the wines are shockingly reasonable. A glass of wine will cost $5 - I recommend the Roussanne for the full body, fruity yet ever so slight tannins (which I typically shy away from - my tummy isn't a fan of tannins). The Roussanne has a delightful full mouthfeel like a vibrant red, yet brings a rosé-like brightness that makes it and the view of the Puget Sound feel like they were brought together by the stars -- much like a full-bodied Pinot Noir and a good rib eye steak. Please visit (but not too much; I'd like to keep it for myself) for a fun chat, a beautiful view, Janis Joplin in the background, and last but not least a very unique, tasty wine that can pair with a view of the Olympics as well as, if not better than the charcuterie.

Yelp
Really romantic place to take someone! The view of the water is absolutely gorgeous while you sip wine and play board games! A small little venue which makes it such an intimate experience. We did the wine tasting each and it was reasonably priced for the wines we received! My only issue was that the pours were drastically uneven when it came to each of our glasses! Wonderful place to take someone around Pike and do a little wine tasting during!
google avatar

Amy K.

Yelp
Amazing!!!! I still can't believe how cheap this place was! It was raining pretty hard outside so my husband like everyone else had the bright idea to seek refuge in the pike market place. Waddling like penguins with the insane crowds we just escaped down a random ramp and was immediately greeted by the wine bar sign. It was full but we were able to grab a seat and people don't stay super long so it worked out. It's 5 or 6? wine tastings for $5 and glasses of reds are $7 and whites are $5. I was floored, coming from CA I'm used to paying between $10-30 bucks for each tasting. The wines weren't great (be careful of their pinot noir, it's REALLY acidic) but the whites were decent. Also the guy working there was just the NICEST. In true Seattle fashion he was of course in shorts in rainy weather and genuinely was slammed because it was nonstop and he was the only one working for like 20 people but he had such an upbeat attitude and was just really nice. Would recommend, stop by to relax and have some wine!

Yelp
Gorgeous sunset earlier this week in #Seattle from a cute little wine bar in #PikePlaceMarket. Cool business - a few local artisans got together and wow - what a cool combination! Wine, chocolate, charcuterie, and cheeses - all local businesses! And two of the businesses are either women-owned or women-partnered. They LOVE Gals like us - stop by! Oh, and have the honey lavender chevre - it's lovely and nuanced and pairs nicely with the Amigne from White Heron Wine! On the second floor down from the main street in the market nestled within the shops. #galawayrecommends

Yelp
Fantastic wines, incredible prices, super knowledgeable people!!!!!! We're locals, and we will be back!!! This place is perfect.

Yelp
The best. Great tasting room, wonderful wine and the best service. Favorite spot in the market

Yelp
This is a great retreat in the Pike Place Market. We did the tasting with a couple of cheese. The view form the tasting room is great! We had the Uncle Monterey Cheese and the Basil / Garlic Cheese & cracker. They were delicious. On the tasting each wine was good but especially liked the Malbec it had a great aroma and very fruit forward.
google avatar

Jorden D.

Yelp
The owners of this winery are exceptional people. We had the joy of meeting them yesterday on our way back from lunch. Being native to Seattle, we don't spend a ton of time hanging out in your typical tourist or destination spots, but damn are we glad we chose yesterday to look around! A lovely couple, Phyllis and Cameron made us laugh and told us the stories of their winery, their background, and how they came to be. We will definitely be back, and we recommend anyone who wants delicious wine to go here and check it out! It is an amazing view of all of the sound and a great shot of the Ferris Wheel. The inside is rustic, quaint, and they are in the midst of peeling it back to show it's age and authenticity even more. We recommend the Amigne, the Arvine, and the Trinidad Red (68% Syrah!) Enchantée ! À la prochaine !
google avatar

Dr. Saul L.

Yelp
I came here with my boyfriend for his birthday in early March and the owner was beyond kind enough to give us the grand tour of all White Heron Cellars' offerings. Him and his wife are amazing--from the wine to the cheese to the truffle offerings, we couldn't ask for more. We can't wait to be back!
google avatar

Natalie W.

Yelp
I stopped in for a taste of Washington wines on a random Monday afternoon and was delighted to chat with the bartender. The bartender also happened to be the winemaker. We chatted about his education in Switzerland and the grapes the vineyard uses. This is a tiny place, but oh so cute and friendly. It was just what I was looking for when I decided to try some local Washington wines.
google avatar

Urmi S.

Yelp
Reasonable price for wine tasting. $5 for 6 wine tasting. You will get buzz after that. $7 a glass of wine only Because you are dealing with the main source. Best one at the pike market. Loved it. I recommend this place. Loved it.
google avatar

Joseph P.

Yelp
Great atmosphere..fantastic service..outstanding wine, cured meat and chocolate offerings! A must do if you visit Pike Place Market..don't miss the view!!
google avatar

Lauren P.

Yelp
Nothing there tasted good. It was like really unsweetened bad grape juice. Pass on this place.

Sophia R.

Yelp
This place was great and Josh was so helpful when discussing wines and he was beyond knowledgeable The wine and the view was both Amazon.
