A Guide to the Best Wineries For Day Trips Just Outside Philly | Eater Philly

"Pulling in under a wooden white-horse cutout and often being greeted by Macie the black lab sets a friendly tone at White Horse, where a breezy, spacious tasting room with a rectangular wraparound bar opens onto an outdoor patio overlooking the vineyard and a lawn dotted with covered picnic tables. Owners Brock Vinton and Brock J. Vinton II aim to elevate New Jersey as a serious wine region, and winemaker Seferino Cotzojay shows that skill with French varieties and hybrids like Cayuga across dry reds, whites, and rosé (with some sweeter options); the dry rosé and chambourcin are particular highlights, and the winery also offers small plates and a full events calendar with food trucks and live music." - Eater

This place has the vibe I think of when I think winery. Chill, outdoor seating, tucked away from a main road. The wines are a limited selection. I have a very specific taste and unfortunately didn't love any. But the lady was very nice and let me try a bunch to help me decide which to order a glass of. Their Charger was good I loved the texture and dryness but it was sweet, I don't like sweet. I like the vibe here so I would come back and just get a good enough glass of wine.

This is a small winery with a very cool atmosphere. The wine selection was not huge, but was okay. The grounds and wine room were nice. There is a musician playing on weekends. We sat outside in a shaded area. We ordered a bottle of wine. There is a small food menu. The cheese board is good. It is a place that I will be coming back to.

We visited the Winery for the first time this past weekend. It was a beautiful day. Plenty of room outside for larger parties. There was live music that day. We enjoyed all of the wines we tried (we like reds) and the staff was unbelievably accommodating. The customer service there is some of the best that we’ve seen. A very nice place to enjoy some good wine.

Google
We just had my father's 60th birthday party here and I couldn't be more grateful! The staff was so helpful accommodating, and extremely friendly! What a beautiful place with excellent wine! Thank you for making my Dad's 60th so memorable!

Google
Nicely thought out seating options for a variety of occasions including shaded picnic tables on the lawn, inside seating, deck seating and fire pit seating. There was live music on the day we visited, which was very good. The wine selection leans to the dry side which was very appealing to us. Sampled several varieties using their flight options and chose a full bottle to share afterwards; a Reserve Rose which was excellent. Enjoyed all the wines and overall rate this as one of the best wineries we have visited to date. They have a limited food menu and supplement with a food truck. Also, they extend a discount to veterans.

Attended a gender reveal party and had a lovely time! The bartender was incredible and the grounds were gorgeous to walk around. We did get to hear the final set of their weekly band at 6pm which is amazing. A fun evening

Robert J.

Google
First time here and it was an amazing experience. It was a Mardi Gras themed Mummers concert. The décor and the band were fantastic, but the winery's staff and their terrific wines are what really set the evening apart. I arrived a few minutes before my friends, and was greeted by Dani, who turned be WHW's events coordinator. She introduced me to one of their vintners who chatted with me and asked some questions before recommending a couple of wine choices to taste. I ended up selecting the Merlot, which I enjoyed all evening. We had tasty food from Sass along with great wines. I even took a couple of bottles of the Merlot home. They have an active events calendar on their website, pick one that sounds like and go out there for a great evening!

i am a solo acoustic performer that travels to different live music venues. Follow me to see photos of the place and locations. White horse winery has awesome wine, live music and a food truck to get your meals. Very cozy and the acoustics inside is awesome during live music. Wheelchair ramp accessible at the side of the winery and during the summer it's perfect to do a picnic. Come by and check out this gem in Hammonton NJ.

Yelp
I miss the North Georgia wineries we frequented when we lived in Atlanta. We'd been to a couple in this area, but none bowled me over. Until today, that is. White Horse is located about an hour from Philadelphia. The property is beautiful, the staff laid back & friendly. We sampled two flights, three tastes in each. Some selections didn't send me (like Albarino and Merlot.). I loved the Cab Franc, but my family did not. (Good thing, since it's $42.50 a bottle.). In the mood for rose, we purchased a bottle of the reserve and enjoyed it with a charcuterie board. White Horse Winery is dog friendly, imperative since I have a little furry house guest this week. Saturday afternoon we were entertained by singer/guitarist Zac Run. (Zac makes his rounds at restaurants, local wineries and distilleries. He's quite good!) By mid-afternoon the winery was hopping with a birthday gathering and what looked like two bachelorette parties. There's plenty of seating on the porch, inside and on the grounds. I look forward to a return visit.

Yelp
Great location! Really enjoyed the wines here. We enjoyed our tasting, chatting with the bartender and customers. Some folks were arriving for trivia as we were leaving which was great to see. We will definitely be back.

Yelp
My friends and I decided to not go to Valenzano festival this year and try White horse. Wow ! Wow. that's all I can say . First , Keren (I hope I spelled it correctly) was such a fun server to have she literally made the experience 10/10 for us . Even though there was other tables she attended to she made sure to check on us. Second the wine and food were 10/10. Great price and nice looking bottles . Third , Macey the dog . What a sweet friendly dog and so glad she hung out with us before the crowd came . We will be heading there again with some more of our friends and I definitely have been telling everyone about this winery . Thank you for creating such a great day for me and my friends esp traveling an 1 and half hour drive . See you again soon!!!

Yelp
Came here for some live music on a Sunday and also to celebrate my mom's birthday. The staff was over the top friendly and accommodating. They helped with the surprise cake and allowed us to order delivery when the scheduled food truck cancelled due to weather. We had two bottles of white wine, a chardonnay and the Albariño. They were both delicious, light, and perfect for summer. We also had the goat cheese charcuterie board that came with fresh fruit, nuts, and crackers. The location is beautiful, both inside and out. they have high ceilings and plenty of seating. There are also tables and bathrooms outside for days where the weather is nice!

Yelp
The cutest little winery! They have great wine and a super friendly staff. Their outdoor area is perfect for a relaxing weekend. Definitely recommend!
google avatar

Jessica P.

Yelp
Food was decent and paired nicely with the the traminette wine. Alexia was amazing. She had such a great personality and made the visit that much more exciting. They had live music and it was a great night to kick back, sip some wine and relax.

Yelp
Nice wine, good atmosphere, and decent music. My mother and I went here to have a nice weekend, and we had just that. We both got wine flights (4 glasses for $16); she got the white and I got their sweet with a substitution for one glass for another type of Rosé. In my mother's "white" flight was: the 2021 Estate Albarino, the 2021 Painted White, the 2021 Chardonnay, and the 2021 Estate Vidal Blanc. In my "sweet(ish)" flight was: the 2022 Estate Rosé, the 2021 custom Rosé, the 2021 sweet Traminet, and the 2019 charger. My mom really enjoyed her first drink, though I didn't particularly enjoy any of mine enough to buy a bottle. We also ordered a gourmet cheese board ($16) with cured meats (+$3). The cheese board came with 3 cheeses (Asiago, Wisconsin Cheddar, and Swiss), red grapes, green apple slices that served as a lovely palette cleanser, nuts and dried fruit, rosemary bread sticks, roasted peppers, black olives, and three different kinds of meats. The cheeses were lovey and had very well thought out pairings. We had a very nice experience, and totally enjoyed the food truck (La Cocinita) in front. There was live music, and it was very loud in there. At the end of the experience they let us keep a glass per person as a keepsake. Would love to return, and hopefully there will be a wine I'll like enough to enjoy. Overall: Wines: 7/10 Cheese board: 10/10 Food truck (La Cocinita): 11/10 Price: ~$70

Yelp
Was tasked with getting holiday gifts for 100 clients. Had a horrible experience at a winery near WH, but walked into a very warm atmosphere. Alexia, the assistant manager and Kyle, the event manager as well as the European wine maker (from France) were extremely helpful. Within 30 minutes had ordered the wine, negotiated a discount and was totally pleased. Recommend this place to everyone!

Yelp
White Horse Winery is very remote and secluded a couple miles off of route 73. The inside of the winery is beautiful with a big bar and lots of additional seating. The bathrooms are also very clean. Our favorite part of the winery is the outdoor space. They have deck seating with additional picnic tables in the courtyard and fire pit tables that are perfect for cooler nights. They have servers that take orders from the outdoor tables, but sometimes seems like it could be a while between visits. The few times I've been here on Friday nights they've had live entertainment and a food truck, however, they do offer some cheese boards. Their happy hour runs Tuesday-Thursday 4-7p which I believe features $1 off glasses & $3 off bottles. We ended up sitting at one of the fire pit tables which was nice as it got cooler once the sun went down. I really enjoy the atmosphere here. We ordered a flight (all 3 of their flights are preset choices and are $16 each), a few different bottles, and a cheese/meat board. Their reds are all on the dryer side. We had the Vinter's Painted Red which my mom, girlfriend, and I thought was great. Then my dad ordered a bottle of a sweeter white (Traminette) which he and I both enjoyed while my mom got a dryer white (Albariño) which her and my girlfriend both enjoyed. Their prices on their bottles are as low as the high teens up to over $40 / bottle. I was indifferent on the cheese board but it was nice to have after a few glasses of wine. We ordered food from the on-site food truck which I thought was great. Our experience with the staff was and has always been pleasant. We always very much enjoy White Horse Winery and nothing changed with this visit.

Yelp
Alexia at white horse winery was absolutely amazing!!! give her a raise!!! she was absolutely amazing and I would recommend her to anyone!!

Yelp
Definitely a bit far from home but I felt like our experience here was worth it! It's a pretty good size, places like laurita are too overwhelming and other places are a little too small to feel cozy. But this place was well decorated and the ambiance was pleasant. We chose to sit outside, though I would have probably been comfortable sitting inside as both indoors and outdoors, the tables were socially distanced. And all the tables outside in the front has umbrellas. They also have fire pit tables in the back which would be really nice in the fall. It was super hot out (90 degrees) but our waitress seemed to gauge our comfort level and kept her distance and mask on. I really appreciated this. No one knows how others feel about everything and this kindness went a long way with us. The wine was good, and the charcuterie plate was even better! Definitely better than those plastic cheese and cracker containers other places will have.

Yelp
My friend and I decided to stop by here on a Saturday afternoon around 3 PM. They take reservations but were all booked so we were just hoping they had room for a walk in. We lucked out and a two person table was available. The tables were spaced apart well. They gave us disposable menus, water cups, and utensils which made us feel a lot safer. We did a wine flight and for four wines it's $16, any type of cheese or meat board is also $16. The wines were alright and the meats were thankfully cut into small portions. It is a bit pricey here but with that being said, I feel a lot of that money is put into presentation. The wine flight comes on a beautiful layered tower and the meat board was on a wooden platter. Will most likely return when the weather is warmer

Yelp
Got engaged here. Will remember this place forever. Great view, great staff. A perfect night. Everyone was very accommodating and helped me create a surprise my fiancé will never forget.
google avatar

Nicole B.

Yelp
Great place. Awesome atmosphere. Stinks that covid won't allow for wine tastings. We did a red wine flight and it was good but we didn't have the one on one description of the wine which we enjoy. The wine was great that we had and service was good as well. Stinks things were so limited.

Yelp
We've celebrated a few special occasions at White Horse, most recently being my moms 60th Birthday. We had our reservation for the back patio, but when it started to rain, Joe and Katie were able to figure out a way to fit our large party inside so we could stay a little drier. Whether we were inside or outside, everyone was so attentive, kind, and friendly. The music by Nicki Sbaffoni was icing on the cake. Everyone at White Horse Winery definitely cares about their patrons and are so accommodating. We all had a wonderful time! And of course, the wine and meat and cheese boards are delicious!
google avatar

Shannon J.

Yelp
Nice seating area with beautiful views. Enjoyed being greeted by their black lab. Bought a bottle of the estate Rose' and Chambourcin. Both wines were good. Friendly staff. Recommend
google avatar

Tatiana B.

Yelp
Very nice. I enjoyed the atmosphere. Dogs are welcomed to sit with you outside. There was one food truck and I liked the white wine flight. There's a lot of wineries in that area. And there seemed to be a bridal shower that was winery hopping with a little party bus. I prefer to do winery tours and not just buying a bottle or a flight. But there they don't do tours of the winery
google avatar

Kreada M.

Yelp
Wine flights are amazing. The view is not only beautiful but incredibly peaceful. I'm excited to eat next time I go. I'm really looking forwards to doing a girls day.
google avatar

Yelp
White Horse Winery did not disappoint! The vineyard property is absolutely stunning and the outdoor seating with picnic tables provides the perfect setting. The staff was friendly, attentive and knowledgable, and the wine was delicious! There was live music, a food truck and clean bathrooms available. I will definitely be back for more tastings!

Yelp
White Horse is part of the Atlantic County wine trail. We stopped to do a tasting on our way to Atlantic City. There's a big parking lot. The building and grounds are nice. The building is nice with a large seating area and large bar. There were light snacks available. We did the tasting. You could choose 5 wines for $10. The pours were generous but I would've have liked to sample more. The sommelier had to open new bottles though because the opened ones had a funky smell according to her. The wines were ok. My husband thought 2 tasted way too earthy. The sommelier was friendly and knowledgeable. I would like to try this place in the Spring when it's busier to see if the wines are better.

Yelp
An East Coast Napa-Style Winery. Napa-style because White Horse Winery has produced white and red wines that are of great quality and will definitely keep you returning to try the new vintages and varietal combinations that the winemaker has created. The winery offers a variety of events, with options to host events and parties, the offering to enjoy a glass or bottle outside by multiple fire pits or on the patio and more. Live music is played every Saturday and Sunday in the afternoons. Food Truck Friday is every Friday night through October where a different Food Truck is featured. [Note: Outside drink and food are not permitted]. The tasting is $10.00 which allows you to choose 5 wines of your choice ranging from Rose, Chardonnay, Sweet Whites, Chambourcin, Merlot, Cab Franc, Nebbiolo and Semi-Sweet Reds as well. Your wine tasting glass becomes a souvenir glass after your tasting has commenced. No reservations/appointments are required. I visited twice so far within the past 3 months and the tasting options changed slightly as the most recent tasting visit offered their recently released 2016 Chambourcin wine. Plenty of parking and a handicap ramp is available to access restrooms and tasting room inside the main building. WHW also offers a Wine Club that, if you join during you visit, your tasting is 50% off with other discounts and offerings that can be shared by one of the staff members. Favorite Wines: Chardonnay-Stainless Steel; Chardonnay Barrel Fermented; Cabernet Franc Reserve; Vintner's Blend; and Rose. Cheers!

Yelp
As a dog, there aren't too many places that humans allow me to sit politely at the table. With that, I highly recommend this place if you're a dog owner. With entry comes etiquette, you have to behave and blend in as expected. The Friendly staff is what sets this place apart. Food choices are mixed with your standard winery apps at the table or a food truck out doors. Coming here again def and so is Westley!

Yelp
We were on our way back from Atlantic City and looking for something to do, so we stopped in here (mostly because of the reviews). Judi helped us with the tasting and she was very nice and knowledgeable. I tasted the 5 reds and my wife had 4 whites and a rose. Her favorites were the Vintner's White, the Chardonnay, the Estate Barrel Fermented Chardonnay and the Rosé (we brought home bottles of all of those). My favorite reds were the Charger (brought one of those home as well) and the Cabernet Franc Reserve. The pours are very generous and if you plan on buying some wine join the Wine Club (free to join) and save on your tasting and your purchases. They also do group tastings (there were a group of young ladies there for a bachelorette tasting), and the deck and grounds are nice to sit out and have a glass (or bottle).
google avatar

Albert S.

Yelp
Always enjoy my visits to White Horse Winery. The place itself is beautiful both inside and out. They have nice indoor seating around the tasting bar where you can listen to some music, play games, eat, or just enjoy a good conversation. The live music has always been good, although my wife and I do have a preference. During the summer the acts are out on the porch area. The winery offers a few tasting trays which are very good and routinely has a food truck. The outside area is also very nice and has several fire pits that you can sit around if it starts to get cold. The service has always been great and the people serving are always pleasant. The owner is also very nice and his dog, who hangs out at the winery, is very friendly. As far as the wines, they are very good. Reds: All very good, but my favorites are the Cabernet Franc Reserve and the Vintner's Red Whites: All were good (except one), but my favorite is the Barrel Fermented Chardonnay. Only one I didn't like was the Gewurztraminer And to my surprise I really enjoy the Rose. More dry than typical Roses'. Love this place.
google avatar

Kevalyn C.

Yelp
We enjoyed our Date night at the White Horse Winery. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. The hosts were absolutely professional, and very nice. The place wasn't loud and there is some outside seating.
google avatar

Sheila D.

Yelp
Last winery of our vacation. Was very busy and understaffed for the number of people. But they do have a few good wines and a nice outside area.

Roxane M.

Yelp
We are winery hopping the area. We tried out five so far and White Horse is our favorite. Wine and boards are great. The inside and outside are beautiful. A nice friendly dog named Casey owns the place. Inside is really nice but the outside is beautiful and relaxing. They have decks, a fire pit table area and a garden area where musicians play. Check it out for yourself. You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
Nice winery....service was not personable at all. I was visiting my home state from out if town and was disappointed in the engagement

Yelp
The best winery in south jersey in my opinion. They have space heaters for the cold, amazing food, and amazing wine. The whole vibe they create really works for them and I already want to come back and I was just here on Friday!

Yelp
We met friends at White Horse after other plans got cancelled - and we were so happy that we did. We had a picnic table in the back - there was an open field for the kids to run wild in and we were able to enjoy a few of their whites and reds as well as some snacks from their kitchen (a cheese plate) and from the food truck out front. The best part? One of the parties that reserved a fire pit did not show up, so we were able to take it over - the fire pits are perfection - a warm and cozy spot to enjoy an outdoor beverage while catching up with friends (note: we went in late October). The wines were really good - as a Napa girl, I have my doubts when going to smaller, local places, but their wines were among the best I've tried in PA/NJ. I highly recommend going over to hang out if the weather is right - and when things reopen again definitely going to see them. Oh, and join the free wine club! I can't remember the deal, but we got a discount on our bottles and a few other things, so special shout out to our patient waitress for explaining it to us several times!

Yelp
This was first time here. My Girlfriend and I traveled here on a Wine Trail Groupon. It is a fairly new South Jersey winery, as it opened in 2016. The grounds are beautiful and there is plenty of parking, which can accommodate a party or shuttle bus. As you want through the archway entrance to the grounds, you'll see a sign pointing you on your way to their large tasting room, which can easily accommodate over 50 people spaciously. Yesterday there were easily 50 people present and there was still plenty of room at their large rectangular tasting bar. There are also many tables inside the tasting area. My Girlfriend and I easily found a spot at the tasting bar and were greeted very quickly. The tasting includes 5 wine samples. Their wines are on the dryer side, with only about 2 being rather sweet. I enjoy dryer wines more than sweet, therefore the wine was perfect for me. My Girlfriend enjoys sweeter wines so the tasting was a bit of a letdown for her but there was one she very much enjoyed. If you enjoy traveling to South Jersey wineries, I highly recommend stopping in. This winery, I'm sure, hosts many events during the spring, summer, and fall due to their large tasting room and other buildings, as well as their beautiful grounds. I would like to attend an event here.

Yelp
Visited over Labor Day weekend with no reservation and little expectation of getting in without one. The owner accommodated us in minutes and we had a wonderful time. This is why we love white horse winery! Our go to for great wine and a casual/comfortable atmosphere that feels like home.
google avatar

Jessica K.

Yelp
My husband, baby and I went here for a relaxing Sunday afternoon and it delivered! The atmosphere was serene- a shaded outdoor area overlooking the vineyard with live music playing. I like drier wines and really enjoyed the chambourcin and Vintner Red.
google avatar

Heather R.

Yelp
I have been meaning to make my way here for quite some time. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The building and grounds are beautiful. I really loved the wines. I love dry. This may not be the best place if you like sweet or fruit wines. We ordered a cheese plate and sat outside at a high top on the desk near the live musician. We were there mid day on a weekend. It was nice to have free entertainment. I liked that there was plenty of varied seating outside. Nice place. I can't wait to go back.
google avatar

Yelp
Cross off another tasting in my passport. Rated this winery 4 stars for atmosphere, cheese platters, entertainment and friendly knowledgeable staff. Tastings were 5 for $10. Tried both chardonnays and wasn't impressed. Our guide changed our glasses when we switched to red. (Nice touch) The chambourcin $18 was my favorite but not enough to purchase. We are visiting 5 wineries today. Merlot $35 and Cabernet $39 were not worth the price . I have spent $42 for a bottle in another winery. The wine quality should match the cost. Large tasting room some side tables and a view to the barrels.

Yelp
Love it! I've been 3 times & the wines are delish! Wine tasting affordable. Food is good, the seating is scenic

Yelp
I'll start by saying it's been quite some time and I decided to write this review finally in hopes of preventing this from ever occurring again... and honestly I rarely review anywhere unless it's to promote an awesome experience because todays world rarely recognizes the good and focuses solely on the bad which is disappointing to say the least. We all have bad days, and things happen- but this experience was much different. A coworkers friend that came to join the group forwarded various pictures and videos, finding one had actually caught some footage of the incident- prompting my post today. Myself and about 15 coworkers decided to meet up and invited our friends to join us for a night at white horse. Things were going great and many of us brought our fur babies to meet each other. After tastings and some time we found tables, ordered snacks and bottles to share. This was my dogs third time at the winery, and the first we'd seen the winery dog Macie on site. Macie was the only dog off leash and frequented our group a handful of times. She and the other dogs all seemed to get along just fine until macie continued to beg and apparently became upset she was not getting fed. The winery's dog turned and attacked my dog unprompted, pulling me to the ground and not only biting my pet, but me as well. Everything happened very quickly and loudly- the band actually stopped playing due to the screams. A gentleman who introduced himself as Macies owner, so I assume he also works for the winery, did approach the group and inquired to what occurred. Surrounding tables relayed their observations and course of events as well as myself and those in our party. Not a single apology, was uttered by the man. I was so caught up in the middle of checking my dog to ensure she wasn't badly injured that I hadn't even noticed my own injuries yet and caught off guard by the man's failure to show any interest in the severity of the situation. We were all shocked in the lack of him addressing any concerns. Dogs are animals, and I'm not putting the lack of leashing and possible food aggression or whatever may have contributed to this event at the fault of the pet... but rather trying to point out how poorly it was handled by the winery representative. If nothing was done in the moment, I doubt it was after to ensure another incident does not occur. A simple gesture in acknowledgement/leashing the dog/ and simply saying "sorry" would have prevented the winery from a loss of our business as a whole. No one in our group has ever returned or recommended this business. Please do better to ensure your customers, human and furry, are safe at your establishment.

Yelp
This was my second visit, however, the last time I was there it was our last stop for the day, so my memory was a bit fuzzy. So this was the first place we stopped on our tour of the Hammonton area. The tasting room is beautiful. Large ceilings, very spacious tasting area, and plenty of seating. They also have some great outdoor seating. While we were there they had someone outside playing music. While we were there they were training a new employee. The trainer was delightful, super helpful to the new employee, and made our experience wonderful. Loved their wines and brought a couple bottles home. Beautiful property and delicious wines.

Amanda E.

Yelp
Perfect in every way. Last minute accommodations for a large party with teens and adults. Food was delicious and the wine was worthy to buy another bottle to take home and enjoy. The live music (female duo) was unbelievable and really made the already outstanding atmosphere beyond a perfect experience heightening all senses. We become members instantly because this will be a place we will visit again and again ! Oh, and great service by our new favorite, Andrea!

Yelp
We were there for their soft opening on July 15, 2016. Beautiful facilitiesl wine tasting room is large and spacious. Nice use of repurposed wood with rustic and modern accents. Outdoor deck. Picnic tables with umbrellas on the grounds. 56 acre vineyard. 10 wines to sample; beautiful and tasty cheesboards-extra fee, and well worth it. LIVE entertainment , warm greetings from the 3 tasting room attendants, the event planner, and the winemaker. Most huggable greetings by Macie the dog....just precious Wines....Nice variety. My husband enjoyed the Cabernet Franc Reserve ( dry )and my favorite was the Gewürztraminer ( sweet ) ! Setting: Peaceful, farm country Service: Excellent...with a smile. Attendants were very knowledgeable about the products they were serving.

Yelp
Must try! This place was amazing! The wine experts were so informative and found a wine for everyone. The cheese plates were excellent and the atmosphere was incredible. Live music, great wine, and a cute dog!

Yelp
This was the best find ever! My wife and I spent our Sunday afternoon at WHW's Tasting Room where we enjoyed a sampling of several different varieties of wine and a beautifully presented cheese and meat board that complimented the wines perfectly. The entire property is gorgeous, designed perfectly with reclaimed wood and with a real farmhouse feel. Once the staff found out that we were first timers a tour was offered by Gar, the C.O.O. of the winery where we actually got a chance to witness a pressing of grapes as they were being loaded into the machine as well as being introduced to BJ, the owner who was happy to take time out of his busy afternoon and socialize with us. All in all a wonderful experience. We're planning on joining their wine club which has some fantastic incentives for members and will be back with a group of our "Napa Valley Loving" friends who are sure in for a treat.

Yelp
We came here for my friends birthday. I am not sure how my one friend found this place, but I am glad she did. It was about a 40 minute drive from where I live. Very secluded. For a group of 6, the bill was $84, and we each had about 4 tasting each of wine. We also bought a bottle for roughly $20 and split it. If you want a wine tasting experience, I would definitely recommend coming here. On certain nights they have food trucks parked in the lot. Great idea for tipsy people exiting a winery! We stopped and had grilled cheese!

Yelp
My husband and I had a delicious flight of wines sitting in the sun by a firepit. It is a lovely spot and we thought the service was friendly! Recommend!

Yelp
The winery is fairly new with only a few years. They have drier wines which I did not really care for much. I actually did not like any that they offered. The grounds are beautiful! Definitely somewhere you could host an event. Plenty of parking which when we went they even had two food trucks outside and plenty of room inside and out to enjoy the time there. We also had some friendly dog visitors which are welcomed on the grounds. The service was ok, but were not really attentive.

Yelp
My husband and I were visting family over the holidays and decided to take a day for just us two to go exploring. We ended up hitting several different wineries in the area and this was our favorite. There was an Irish band playing and the inside was completely new and modern. Food trucks were outside on case you got hungry. For me the atmosphere made the experience, it just screamed romantic farmhouse.

Yelp
We have been coming here since they first opened in July 2016 and I can honestly say that this is one of my favorite wineries. The inside tasting room is beautifully decorated and extremely welcoming. The outside seating is great with tables with umbrellas on the patio and chairs and tables on the lawn. They also have fire pits set up in the evenings (in the warmer months). All of the staff is absolutely wonderful, from the tasting room attendants to the special events coordinator and the owner. Live music is always a plus and they hire great entertainment. Macie the winery dog is so cute and goes from table to table to make you feel right at home. The wines are to die for!! My favorite is the sweet Gewürztraminer and they have a nice selection of whites and reds. We were there today and they now have 12 different wines that you can choose from. They also offer delectable cheese boards. You can tell that they put a lot of love and thought in to them because they are works of art. Highly recommend White Horse Winery to anyone looking for a nice afternoon or evening tasting wine and listening to music.

Yelp
Called ahead weeks in advance for wife's birthday. Got here told they didn't have me on the list. What a joke. they looked like they could care less. won't ever come here or buy the wine. Crap business.

Yelp
We have been coming to the beautiful White Horse Winery for several years now. The tasting room and outdoor grounds and garden are impeccable, beautiful and clean. The staff are all so kind and attentive. The wine is exceptional and the food boards really hit the spot. Joe is a great manager, working hard to make the customer experience great and BJ the owner is always walking the grounds to ensure all customers are having a nice time. The winemaker Edward is passionate about his craft and always educating customers on his process. Cheeseboards are served by kind staff like Gabby and Lucas who are fast and hard working. There is almost always live music which really sets a relaxing mood. Our family loves it so much that we had a large family gathering after hours and it was so great! Highly recommend White Horse Winery for day visits or for holding an event. This place really competes well with some of the larger and older local wineries in the area on both wine quality and atmosphere. Enjoy!
