⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An Unforgettable Night at White Oak Music Hall! 🎶🔥 I’ve always wanted to catch a show at White Oak Music Hall—and this night absolutely delivered! 🙌 The bands and venue were the perfect combo for a rocking good time 🎸 without the hassle of downtown parking 🚗💨 (huge win!). What made it even more special? 💫 Watching my nephew, Joseph Kennedy, take the stage on tour with Forever Came Calling—a proud moment I’ll never forget. 🖤 The space was ideal for intimate concerts with phenomenal acoustics 🎤, a fully stocked bar 🍹, and top-notch security 👮‍♂️ that made everyone feel safe and welcome. And yes, parking was super convenient, which made the whole experience smooth from start to finish. 🎟️ Can’t wait to come back! This is exactly how live music should feel.

This has turned into one of my favorite venues in Houston over the past couple of years. Very clean and well set up place. They have three different concert areas, the main downstairs stage, the outdoor stage, and the upstairs room. I have seen concerts at all three and the upstairs room is very small and intimate. The outdoor lawn is big and open as is the inside stage. They definitely sell for max occupancy, but it is a concert, so you can't be upset when there are a ton of people. The only thing that could be a downside is the parking. The parking is pretty expensive and not the easiest to navigate, but it doesn't bother me as I have found nearby parking for free and walk to the venue, so much better.

Absolutely loved this venue, we had the best night ever! The set up was nice and flowed well, getting in was a breeze. It was busy and full but there were so many different places to buy drinks, they had a delicious food truck there that was vibing and the lines moved quickly. Everyone made sure to take care of your needs and not rush you away even in the busy merch line. It says standing room only for general admission but they had picnic tables and bleachers off in the back on this cute hill close to the food truck. The stage, lighting and sound was superb. There was not a bad place to stand. You could see and hear everything so clearly, we hopped around from spot to spot getting closer to the stage as the night went on. Nobody was pushy or too close it was wonderful!! This was my first time here but it won't be the last! I will definitely keep an eye out for shows they put on from now on! Awesome concert, awesome venue, parked across the street and got in and out easy as could be!!

We attended the James Bay concert last night and had an amazing experience overall. The sound system was exceptional, and the staff was outstanding throughout the evening. Everything was well organized, from the check-in process to the exit. However, I did find it quite warm inside the venue, as there was a lack of air conditioning and air circulation. A cooler environment would have enhanced the experience even more. Nevertheless, it was a fantastic night!

I recently went to see Alex Warren live, and he was absolutely amazing! His performance, energy, and connection with the crowd were everything I hoped for and more. However, the venue itself was honestly a huge letdown. It was disgustingly hot inside — everyone was dripping in sweat within minutes. They did hand out free waters, which I appreciated, but honestly, the conditions were so bad that it made it hard to fully enjoy the night. I really think the concert shouldn’t have gone on without better ventilation or air conditioning. Alex deserved a better setting, and so did the fans. Hopefully next time they’ll choose a venue that can actually handle a full crowd without turning into a sauna.

Google
Great organization at the door. Very informed and informative staff who keep the lines flowing. The inside stage area is well air conditioned, and the outdoor stage are has ample space for relaxing and spreading out. Be aware that this is a cashless venue so make sure you have your card or phone ready for cashless payments. Also, the parking is quite confusing and expensive. I'd recommend using rideshare to save time and money. There are numerous bars and restaurants nearby that you can walk to, but for the best experience, use rideshare to get to the bars or restaurants about 10 min away in either direction.

Great venue for smaller artists! Closer to the stage was flat, and behind that was a grass hill so you could lounge while you enjoyed other artists. Don't forget sunscreen!

Google
Nice venue. Staff are professional and attentive so the venue feels safe during events. It has 3 different areas that hosts different types of events: Upstairs (Outdoor rooftop patio) Downstairs (Inside with a floor and balcony area) & Lawn (fully outdoor area you see in music festivals). For the downstairs area, my only criticism is the AC. I was able to avoid any problems but some people in the venue were uncomfortable because it did feel hot at times. Even the performer mentioned this as he was wrapping up his act. During the show the staff had to bring out a small portable fan in stage. Despite that, everyone had a great time. The venue owns several parking lots close by and the closer they are to the building, the more expensive they are. But it’s worth it vs parking on the street, lots of traffic moving in and out and the neighborhood did seem a little sketchy.

Yelp
I highly approve of their ADA seating area in the downstairs venue. Just check in at the box office to get an ADA wristband. Seating is limited, so it works best to get there early.

Yelp
I absolutely love this music venue, but they started charging Ticketmaster fees even when you purchase the tickets in person at the box office. This wasn't the case until recently, and it makes purchasing tickets in person completely pointless. I absolutely loathe pointless fees, hence why I would always purchase my tickets in person. This will absolutely make me think twice about attending concerts here in the future.

Yelp
I don't give out 1-star reviews very often but this place was horrendous. It was our first AND OUR LAST VISIT. About 6 months ago, my husband purchased tickets for the OAR show at White Oak. It was a lawn show in early August. He has been looking forward to seeing one of his favorite bands. He purchased parking ahead of time and we found lot B and parked. We DOUSED ourselves in bug spray as this was an outdoor concert and it's been a very wet summer. We get in line and go through the bag and body check. We enter the venue gates and see a small rickety bar to our right and a merch tent (think pop up sun shade at the beach) tent straight ahead. They had metal fencing around a grassy area but we assumed that was just to help with traffic flow... With no signage around, we wandered into the building. The room was already about 1/2 full despite being there about an hour and a half early. In the low lighting, we saw a bar along the back and a small stage up front. The music was LOUD and not our vibe so we decided to head back outside. We figured since there were multiple stages here, this was just ONE of the areas you could listen to opening music before the show on the LAWN. Once outside, we walked to the metal fencing and realized that the outdoor stage and the lawn were in no condition for a show. The stage was in disarray, the lawn's grass overgrown, fencing was down... it was in shambles. Looking at the building, parts of the roof were broken, siding was missing in spots and it just looked like such a DUMP. We then realized that the show could not possibly being on the lawn. That's when we overheard someone say that the show was moved INSIDE. WHAT!!?!?!??? So we stood there for about 2 hours watching more and more and more people cram into that small downstairs room. We spoke to numerous people who expressed surprise about the show not being on the lawn, about not being alerted for the change in location, about how HOT it was inside, about how they feared the venue was going over FIRE CODE with the number of people crammed in there. Already feeling claustrophobic about how it had to be in there, I sent my husband in to check it out. He came back and said there was only about a 2ft. open area in front of the restroom entrance. I might add, during our time waiting outside, we saw so many people deciding to LEAVE before the show even started, especially people with kids. I couldn't imagine having children packed inside that building. Needless to say, after much deliberation, we decided to leave before the show even started. Coincidentally, one of the couples we talked to for a bit outside had left as well and we saw them on the way to our vehicle. Not going to lie, I had a fear of it ending up being like "The Station" fire in 2003... people trapped inside and hundred deaths due to unsafe conditions of this building. The kicker was when we were leaving, the worker at the gate said there was no re-entry. (Wonder if she was surprised the number of people who were leaving before the show even started.) Anyways, I should have replied that we never intend to re-enter this shit hole. Waste of time and money. Never coming back. Wish we were alerted ahead of time of the change from the lawn to downstairs. We could have made the call to not come ahead of time. But since their policy allows for changes without notice, they still got their money despite dozens of unhappy customers. Great business model.

Yelp
The way the hall can be reconfigured makes it one of the better venues in this town. The only drawback is parking. It's better just to Uber.

Yelp
Love this venue. Most big shows are preformed out on the lawn/outdoor area. There is an indoor venue for smaller shows. They usually offer beer and some mixed drinks options. Bathrooms always clean. Only complaints is the ticket fees. They hurt. Otherwise my fav venue by far
google avatar

Yelp
This was a great, quaint venue for a concert. There were 2 food truck options. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Yelp
I went and saw Sierra Ferrell here and it was outside. It was really really hot! I just moved here from Baltimore so the heat really gets me at times still. They did have free water stations so that's amazing. She is folky blue grass singer. The sound was decent but it wasn't very loud. That could be because it was outside and I am not aware of the rules here. The staff was really nice and the beers were about $15. Yes, we all know that a lot but it's the going rate for concerts these days. It's a smaller venue with 3 different concert areas.

Yelp
THIS IS AN ALL OUTDOOR VENUE WITH NO COVERING. Be aware of this when you get tickets for a summer concert in Texas. My experience here was not great. It was a rainy day and they already delayed the concert by a few hours to start with. Then once we finally got in, it took forever for the first opening band to start and then another over an hour wait for only one of the headliners to start and the other opening and other headliner didn't even end up playing. If it was a nice day, I'd maybe recommend this place. But considering it's all outdoor in Texas with no cover and I had such a bad experience, this place is a no go for me. I gave it two stars cuz it tried and the set up is nice, but outdoor no cover just is not realistic for a nice time in south Texas.

Yelp
I've been to several shows at White Oak Music Hall and I've never had any issues. There's usually parking across the street in a lot ($10-$20) and the process of getting in is usually seamless. Security is always on point and they make sure to check everyone thoroughly before they go in. Once you get in, there's a bar to the left (drinks are bleh) and then open space with the stage right up front. Look forward to attending more shows here!

Yelp
I was so impressed by this venue! My husband and I attended a Randy Rogers Band concert earlier this month and really enjoyed our experience. There's so many places to stand to get a great view and the sound is awesome throughout. There are 3 bars that are easily accessible from all standing areas so you never have to travel far to get a drink. The bartenders were all very friendly and fast. The only negatives that result in less than a 5 star is that the rest of the staff wasn't friendly at all and acted like they were TSA (hating their jobs), the drinks were so overpriced for what you actually receive, and parking is ridiculous price wise for a venue of this size and style. I can see being easily overheated attending a show here during the summer, but otherwise it's a really cool venue depending on weather and who you want to see play.
google avatar

Medina K.

Yelp
After visiting this spot a few times, I decided to write about it... If you have the opportunity to attend a concert here, you should absolutely do it. Especially if it's a band that you love and really want to see. There's not a bad seat in the house and every viewpoint is fantastic. It's a very intimate setting, the sound is great, and I was extremely happy with how much I enjoyed the show. Drink prices were about as you'd expect for a place like this and I was glad to see so many bar tenders at the outside and inside parts of the venue, so there was never ever a wait in line situation. Sound on stage was great and the hill outside makes for a great view, even being way in the back. I would definitely come more shows here. Enough parking in the rear. Bye for now:)

Yelp
Generally ok venue. But i would AVOID their Emo nights / Brooklyn Emo Night. It is a massive ripoff and the bar in the room is either not ideal for the setup and or the staff is just annoyed with the function. The "emo" music they're charging you for is literally a TikTok/spotify playlist that barely covers the genre. There are better and more organic emo nights around town.

Yelp
I purchased 2 tickets to Thee Sacred Souls concert on 10/23/24 for the inside - they changed it to outside on the day of the event. I'm a 73 year old Disabled Veteran who would have bought the tickets if I would've been informed that the concert was outside. I called TicketsOnSale who informed me that it I was Sh_it out of luck. They did a Bait-N-Switch on me, Never will I buy tickets at White Oak Music Hall again

Yelp
I don't recommend this place because for one there's NO seating.. it gets hot inside when it's crowded.... The parking lot is a JOKE!! We PAID to park in lot B and my car got broken into. My gym bag was stolen and the venue hasn't done ANYTHING!!!!!!

Yelp
I really enjoyed this venue. It is located in a sketchy area, and I did not enjoy walking 10 minutes alone from the METRORail stop to the concert hall. They have parking lots for $25 or $30, but you can get there early and park in the neighbourhood for free. The thing that I really liked about this venue was that they kept handing out free bottled water to the crowd before and between shows, which was greatly appreciated since it was outdoors and in July. You can also bring your own reusable plastic water bottle and fill it from a water cooler. A security guard kept standing in right in front of the lead singer, which was bothersome. He could've stood a little to the side. The bar was pricey just like any other concert venue. A slice of pizza was $7. The restrooms were clean.

Morgan E.

Yelp
Bartenders are always nice here. Security is super uptight. Ive only been to shows indoors which were all pleasant. The bathrooms are nice. Pretty nice venue and I will probably return if a band or artist I like plays here.

Yelp
My first experience while in Houston was at this outdoor music venue. I was at the event a bit early so I found parking easily. You could pay ahead of time $30 online. They also charge $30 at the door, so it's the same thing. Some neighborhood residents were opening up their garages and also charging $30. Getting out after the show was over took a good 30-40 minutes. The venue was smaller than I expected. The back of it goes upward like a hill, where they have some VIP benches and tables. There is a bar on either side of the stage. The entrance gets pretty bottle necked so I found the other side to be more spacious. Bruh I paid $80-90 for 4 cocktails (that were full of ice). There were supposed to be food trucks next door, but I only found one open. They were selling hot toddies for $7.

Yelp
Went here for a summer concert. Prior to ever attending, I upgraded our GA tickets to balcony and when we got to the balcony it was just pretty awkward. People had already lined up across the balcony so not great options on where to stand, and for being so far back just wasn't the vibe we were looking for. We checked out the private pods and was more than we were looking to spend with just 2 of us but would be great for a group of 5-7 people. We ended up paying $340 for bistro table seating to the side of the pods and that was definitely the way to go, will sit 4 people so split 4 ways would be super ideal if you don't want to stand at a concert. Bartenders were super friendly. Get there early if you're driving and don't want to pay $50 parking. We paid and it was totally worth it but could see if being an issue if you're looking for alternative parking.

Yelp
As an avid concert goer I frequent White Oak Music Hall at LEAST once a month, usually one to two times every other week. The staff are friendly for the most part, of course you'll have your run ins with some jerks but that's just life. Security is very friendly! I've never had a problem with the delivery of the sound here! Sucks they switched to Ticketmaster, but I will be returning as long as they keep having amazing acts scheduled! Salami the black cat is the main reason White Oak gets 5 stars from me.

Yelp
I've never posted to yelp before but this experience was the worst concert experience I've ever had and I've gone to literally hundreds in my lifetime. Feel like I have to say something. My wife and I attended the Seether / Skillet show this past Saturday. Parking was horrendous and overpriced (signage was misleading). Bought VIP tickets so that we could have early entry. Early access to Merch and food was advertised and we paid $40 extra per ticket for that privilege. We arrived 15 minutes earlier than required yet our line barely moved for 20 minutes (maybe 20 feet). That's when they opened the GA line. The GA line moved freely with no stoppages like we were experiencing in the "VIP" line. We no longer had early entry privilege at that point. Staff at the venue did not care when I pointed this problem out to them. Merch line was an hour and a half long at one point but was consistently 1 hour while we were there. We'll never go back.

David M.

Yelp
I went to 6arelyhuman's concert and it was super awesome! It was loud, lights flashing all around the place. Everyone at the concert and staff were so nice! There was a bunch of drinks that contained alcohol and most of them tasted so good!

Just B.

Yelp
Just wanted to share how disappointed experience I had with your box office. I drove all the way to your offices to buy tickets for this weekend concert. Online price is $35 + fees $12 ticket master. But on your website it says the below. If I buy tickets at the venue, can I avoid service fees? "Yes, but only if you: (1) buy tickets in person at the box office, and (2) buy your tickets BEFORE the day of show. If you wait until the day of the show, you will not avoid service fees. Your tickets will be issued to you as mobile tickets on your Ticketmaster app or through your Ticketmaster account." that's a lie or your box office person does not know this policy. The lady at the box office simply said. You have to pay the fees. I told her that the policy is on your website and she responded " we will make the changes on the site". But you have to pay or go to Ticketmaster This is how business lose customers.

Yasmina S.

Yelp
The one issue i had is that i bought a fast pass for a show and it wasnt organized at all. The ticket scanners weren't working until right when doors opened. Also they allowed regular GA holders in at the same time as Fast Pass. What was the point of the tickets if we werent allowed in first and GA had a closer entrance to the stage than us? We had to run across the lawn due to GA already coming in.
google avatar

Yelp
It's a rip off when it comes to drinks .. one whisky and a beer was 40 bucks.. That's a bit too much to watch a show and have a drink
google avatar

Yelp
Went see Dance Gavin Dance and it was one of the best shows and the venue bathrooms were clean which was a huge bonus. Food trucks were awesome and definitely a must try again. My only complaint is the prices for anything were really high but other than that it was great.

Yelp
I ended up at White Oak because one of my favorite bands, Johnnyswim had a concert there earlier this week. I got the tickets for Christmas and was both excited and nervous about seeing my first concert since the pandemic. Would it be safe? Luckily, WO requires proof of vaccination which made me feel somewhat better. However, I've visited other establishments that asked for this and then failed to ask for it at the door so I was doubtful that WO would follow through. Once we arrived, we parked on the street so I I'm not sure what their actual parking situation is like. We towed a short, fast moving line towards the auditorium and wouldn't you know, when we got to the front we were asked for our tickets, proof of ID, and our VAX cards! Yay! WO definitely gained points from me there and I went from worrying about being safe to eventually feeling safe enough to take my mask off at the show. Johnnyswim was AMAZING (what an excellent band!! I'm such a fan) and the concert was incredible overall. The lighting was DOPE but if I had to pick at something small I'd say the sound could've been better. I'm not sure if WO was responsible for the sound or if it was the artists but it was a bit low at times. Other than that, awesome night!! **oh, one more thing. WO was the first venue that I've ever seen to have VIP sit ON STAGE and eat/drink while the performance went on. I've never seen that. Not sure how I feel about it but, I thought it was very interesting. I didn't visit the bar so I can't speak for the bartender and/or drinks but, I saw lots of people with drinks and they seemed happy so, I'm guessing all is well in that department. WO, I'll see you again soon.

Yelp
Went to a weekday concert. Firstly, parking is either streetside or in a paid lot. We took our chances on the street and it was fine. The staff and organization here is pretty disappointing and bottom of the barrel. Literally half of the staff at the entrance refused to do any work or look remotely happy to be working or alive in general. The interior is like HOB but a little bit smaller and without the upper level. Acoustics are alright and the lightning is also alright. Overall, just wasn't super impressed with a potentially more intimate concert experience and the very disinterested staff didn't really help.

Yelp
I went to see Mitski here on 2/24/22. First off, the absolute disorganization of the staff was appalling. I honestly would have just left in line if she wasn't one of my favorite singers. This concert experience solidified two things for me: I will never go to another all ages show, and I will never go to another show at WOMH. I arrived at 1 PM. The line was orderly until staff just said "move to the other side of the street" instead of moving in an orderly fashion. Staff just told everyone to go to the other side, so naturally, the groups of teenagers behind us trampled us to get ahead. It was insane. People were running all over the place. Then, the vaccine card and ID checks were so disorganized that people were just shoving around and trying to get ahead. Staff was incredibly rude. Bag checks were inconsistent. One guard said we could have water bottles, another said we couldn't, one said we could have packaged snacks for the line, another said we couldn't, it was all a huge mess. Everything was so unorganized. I had to leave my water bottle by the bar, and by the time we came out to get it (the concert had JUST ended), one of the staff was trying to throw it out. No one even had a chance to get the things they left there. The staff member was cussing us out under his breath and was extremely rude. We then got into the main line. Staff was, again, rude and unprepared. The kids around us were obnoxious. There came a point where staff had banned us from going to the bathroom that was less than 20 feet away. The fact that we were not allowed to leave the line despite being in groups to even use the bathroom for FOUR HOURS was sickening. Once that mess was over, the crowd was rude, shoving, pushing, cussing people out. It was terrible. Never had a concert experience like this. Mitski, on the other hand, was fantastic. TLDR; Rude staff. Terrible organization. Great stage.

Yelp
Came here for the first time to see Orville Peck. The concert was inside on the main stage - I was impressed with how easy it was to get inside. The line for security moved fast, wristbands to show you were 21 was quick, and then you walk in the doors and are right there at the stage. We decided to go to the second level to try and get a better vantage point and were able to stand on some temporary bleacher-style risers. The show was sold out, and you could definitely tell it was packed, but we still felt like we had enough space without being squished to death. Since we live close-by we were able to Uber over easily, so I cannot comment on parking. Overall, it is a good venue, sound/acoustics inside are not the best, but the show was still very enjoyable and felt "intimate" since it isn't a huge stadium/venue (similar in size to House of Blues downtown).

Yelp
I was at White Oak 3 days in a row for a music fest in April 2022 (Hell's Heroes). Great fest overall and solid venue. The fest utilized the upstairs (small) stage as well as the downstairs (larger) stage + balcony surrounding it. They did not use the outdoor stage--though I wish they had as the small room only fits a few hundred people and this was a sold out crowd of 1400+. So to see a show in the small space, you had to pretty much skip an act in the large space and post up very early. In doing so, you get pretty good sound in the small room and definitely an intimate experience. If you're too near a speaker in the small room you're going to lose the vocals altogether and only hear the music, other than that solid. The downstairs space has great acoustics, there wasn't a bad spot in the house to see the show from be it on the main floor or up in the balcony. There's some decent space outside for vendors to set up. The security guards did a great job, keeping things safe without needlessly cracking down on people enjoying themselves or making it an oppressive environment. Bar? Very limited and pricey. Of course, I still drank tons but still. Beers (no tap) are $7-$12 in cans. Cheapest was Lone Star, but by day 3 they told us they were out and had no plans as a venue to restock it in the future (I mean, I'm not from TX but isn't that one of y'alls signature beers?). Asked for a jager shot, no jager. Some rotgut well whiskey and well tequila for $9 or so a shot, no trimmings. Still had plenty.

Yelp
my 13yo and i were forced to leave front row/nearly kicked out of the venue due to a person pushing their way, and edging other people out of their spot, so she could make her way to the barricade. first she said something about having lupus and needing somewhere to rest her hand. then it was her 12yo sister was tired and needed to rest. when no one would move because she was clearly lying she decided to strong arm me and the person standing next to me. she decided to tell security that i pushed her sister, which this kid was looking on in radio SILENCE, and got us both "warned" that if anything else happened all three of us would be removed. THREE as in my kid was now involved. we went from three people standing comfortably to my daughter and i pushed so far into each other we couldn't dance and could barely move. my daughter started crying because she/we were being pushed into each other and she said she was hurting. i told her it happens and just try to enjoy the show. the security guard came back and asked her why she was crying. she told him and then we all three got removed. this person went from needing a space to rest a hand because of her "illness," to occupying all of my space and forcing my daughter and i into sharing the one space my daughter previously had. i am honestly FLOORED at what transpired. this was supposed to be a christmas gift for my kiddo, the show was a mega babe aussie twin group, that she has been waiting to see for 10 years. only one person was kind in this situation. i wish i had a name because they were the only one who cared we were getting steamrolled. black top with old english text in white. black bottoms. they allowed us to go back in and finish the last few songs. security could CLEARLY see that we were there from when everyone was let in. i was told to allow her a spot to rest her hand. how did she manage to be flush with the barricade if i was being so "aggressive" or "pushing?" aside from the one understanding staff member, and one who was doing bag checks. both incredible humans.

Yelp
Be Slightly Stoopid & Spice it up with Pepper First time ever going to this venue and I will return for sure! Smaller outdoor venue for just the right amount of crowd. Food trucks for food & 2 bars 1 on each side of the stage/lawn area. Only thing tricky was/is the parking situation. Plus with booking bands like Slightly Stoopid & Pepper, how could they go wrong?!

Thinh N.

Yelp
This place is the worst place to go for any concert. The parking is the worst nightmare. Do not go here unless you can walk.

Judhammer B.

Yelp
the organization of this venu is absolute dog water. they had no actual line and delayed entry for 3 hours then just let people that had been on in line less than 2 mins in front of those in line for over 2 hours. I will not be entering this venue ever again and hope that they get better at organizing their events by an order of magnitude. do not recommend 0-5 stars would go negative if they let me.

Yelp
This second time was easier to get in. Come early to get street parking vs paying in parking lot. We bought seated VIP and entered but they didn't know or have the bracelets yet. VIP seating sucks because no one checks and each time my nephew stood up from his chair, an adult would sit in his chair! It was very rude! No one is monitoring. I would have to shoo them away. Also the views are not so good they are on the sides or way in the back. Most people would use our seats as aisle way stepping on us, pushing us out if the way as we were seated, or putting their drinks and belongings on our feet. Bathrooms are dark but clean. This time acoustics sound people really off. The singers' microphone would cut off. Also the sound balance was off. A lot of potential but they need to improve.

Yelp
This is a really fun music venue. They always have good artists playing and cool crowds. There's enough space for about 2000 people. Plenty of room and multiple bar areas. I came out for a free Wale concert that was offered and it was so much fun. Bun B even came out! Definitely a place you have to visit.

Yelp
Management needs to do better. Despite the request of Phoebe Bridgers' team, the venue failed to check vaccination cards/recent COVID tests. As a result, many fans, including myself, were infected with COVID at Phoebe's 5/21 Houston show. Additionally, people were passing out left and right at the concert. It took Phoebe's team BEGGING management and stopping the show for them to finally give people water. It was pure chaos.

Yelp
I'll be honest -prior to coming here for the Interpol show, I did not have a positive view of WOMH because of all the news I had heard about them being too loud and not good neighbors. I mean, I understand...I'm an old fart now and need my sleep too. That aside, this is a great music venue for middle range bands that don't play at the Toyota Center or bigger venues. My buddy and I thought that it felt like a mini Cynthia Woods if they took out the seating area and shrank the lawn by 2/3. Very laid back, no fighting, and a nice view of downtown on the side. There were food trucks, and the beer was not obscenely expensive. Unlike Cynthia Woods however, if you plan on sitting on the lawn, think again because it's more of a standing lawn. Also, parking suuuuucks so plan on getting dropped off or pay 20 bucks for parking and not finding parking.

Yelp
I've been here twice and so far, I am digging it. They seem to have a steady stream of bands coming in. They have 1 or maybe 2 indoor stages and a larger outdoor stage that can accommodate 2-3 thousand concert goers. I am not a fan of the parking prices, so take a Lyft if you can. The bar prices are fair but they need to work on lowering those extra service charges for each ticket, for sure! It's around an extra $8 a ticket. What the heck is that??

Yelp
Now that I've attended multiple concerts at the different venues of the WOMH (Lawn, upstairs, downstairs), it's definitely time to upgrade my rating of this place. Parking: I now know how to navigate the small streets by the WOMH. The good thing is I've always been able to find street parking within walking distance from the venue. I've never spent more than five minutes finding a parking spot with easy access to the freeway. No, I'm not telling you where I park. Upstairs: I love, love, love the upstairs room. This room is reserved for those artists who are not well known. I came in to see Amy Shark (she's super awesome - check her out) with her opening act, Tomi(she's also super awesome - check her out as well). After their performances, each artist actually went to the merch stand to meet the fans, take pictures, sign autographs, and what not. No expensive meet & greet fee that will allow you to take a picture with your favorite singer for five seconds. Both singers actually took the time to chat with you like old friends. Shout out to Tomi is she ever sees this, but she was so cool and super friendly. Downstairs: This room is reserved for the up and coming artists or those who were pretty big but not as big anymore. I came in here to see Franz Ferdinand and also Rainbow Kitten Surprise (awesome band name, even more awesome music - check them out as well). The room is set up kind of like Revention Music Center but much smaller and there are no reserved seats in the balcony. All standing room only. The Downstairs room takes over as my favorite venue to go to for bigger concerts (the title previously belonged to Revention Music Center). The Lawn: Still better than the Cynthia Mitchell Pavilion, in my opinion. But no blankets, no lawn seats, none of that stuff. Best check with security for each individual event that you go to and don't stand in line until you know what's up. Why not a full five stars? Because even though I buy my tickets direct from the box office, they will still charge you all the add-on fees unless you're paying with cash, which means I have to stop by an ATM prior to coming here to buy tickets.

Yelp
Came for a POD show for Major Lazer and it was a blast. It's so great not having to be directly next to people and still being able to enjoy my time. You did have to order your drinks through an APP and the ordering wasn't as slow as the APP's reviews make it seem to be LOL." Best venue in Houston by far (atleast the outdoors), the indoors is okay too because its so damn cold in the main room.

Yelp
Ok, so an update on my first review... This is on the downstairs venue itself. When you walk into the venue it has an intimate feel. Everything upstairs is wooden, and you've got a great view down on your bands (you can even stand on the bleachers). But my favorite part is being in the middle of the floor, directly in front of the band in the general admission standing area. I went to a show here yesterday and saw Phantogram. They were absolutely amazing, and the acoustics, lights and everything of the venue really wrapped it all up for me. Honestly, I've been listening to Phantogram all day today. Which I know is a good sign of a great show. This is probably my new favorite venue in Houston. It's not a huge place, it feels intimate, and the way the music reverberates off the walls and into your soul is like drinking a giant cup of coffee that you just really needed. That is all.

Yelp
I used to love this place. Great shows offered and nice indoor venue. Went to two concerts inside(Matt & Kim and Social Distortion). My group was all set for the MGMT concert for 5/7/2019, we bought pre-sale tickets for the show. When we purchased the tickets, they were for the inside venue. Well I guess demand was high and they switched it to the outside venue. Which they have the right to, according to their ticket policy. They wanted more money, I get it the American way. Problem is that they sold it originally as the inside, more intimate venue. That is what I wanted to see. Then the day of the show came along and they said rain or shine it was happening. Despite flood warnings and lightening they kept saying the show was going to happen. The opening act, Warpaint, was supposed to go on at 7 pm. They didn't cancel the show until just around the time the opening act was going to happen on Facebook. If they had just not gotten greedy and kept the show they initially sold, there would have been zero problems. Just glad I wasn't one of the poor people who were stuck there for hours while it poured and left with nothing to show. Not a fan of how they handled it.

Yelp
Why do you refuse to let customers in at the scheduled time when it's almost 100 degrees outside?

Yelp
I went here the very first time and I saw deftones here not my first time seeing them live, had a good time at this venue and it was not bad just the only thing I didn't like was the parking price which was kinda pricey for a small venue and they should really adjust that cause while I was waiting in line for the concert I saw lots of cars sway away from the parking lot across the side from the venue which is the closest parking lot , and it was kinda embarrassing that cars where backing out and trying to find parking elsewhere. I guess that's why I gave y'all 4 stars ?

Yelp
I don't often update reviews but felt it was needed in this case. I've now attended concerts at White Oak Music hall both indoors and outdoors. I have to say that there is a significant difference between the two experiences. I'd give the indoor experience three stars. It's a relatively small venue which allows you to get close to the stage but just a little too small. I think a venue like House of Blues has them beat because it's intimate but a little larger. The outdoor experience, on the other hand, is a five star experience. There's plenty of room and it reminds me of Cynthia Woods just much, much closer and not as huge. You have a bunch of vantage points depending on your preferences. You can get close to the stage and be in the heart of it. A little further away, there's a hill that gives you some space but still provides for great views. In the distance, you have some stadium-style seating if you want to sit down. It's limited but that's an option if you can snag a seat. On top of it all, they have food trucks! There were two food trucks while I was there including The Waffle Bus. One of my favorites! I've only been once so I'm not sure if they cycle through food trucks often or have some regulars. When you combine the experiences, you get a four-star review. Looking forward to my next concert!

Yelp
Very nice place went for the D4vd concert. Parking is a little hard to get but other than that it's a great place. However if you and your group plan on drinking make sure everyone gets a wristband. Even if ur 21 and don't have a wristband they will kick you out for holding a drink so do be careful, that's how my concert night ended which was awful. So get the wristbands! Great place just ruined by one awful staff

Yelp
Super cool vibe.. I loved the music and the intimate feel of the concert. You can tell they don't let just any shmo come in and rock up on stage. Great ambience.. and yes.. smell!
