Got the Thai turkey sandwich (monthly special) and it was so delicious! Love the curried slaw. The combo meal came with a drink, an ice cream, a cookie, AND a bag of chips. Team wheat bread for me. 🥪

This is my new favorite sandwich place. The atmosphere is inviting and the food is made with love. We had the chicken salad sandwich and the roast beef sandwich with potato salad. Both were very delicious. If you’re looking for a cozy place to enjoy a good sandwich and great company this is the spot. Lynette was a treat.

This is the best sandwich shop in Lincoln. Way better than any national chain. All sandwiches are made fresh to order on delicious homemade bread. Great chicken salad and I love the roasted red pepper and gouda soup. If you want something sweet, they have really good sticky buns.

Sandwiches were delicious, great pickle on the side. Stopped in for a quick lunch, and was very pleased with the choice. Had our food in minutes.

Food was very yummy and reasonably priced! The lady who helped me out was so nice too and answered my questions as it was my first time here.

I ordered the brown bag lunch and for $11 received a sandwich, drink, chips, a pickle spear, and two cookies since I did not want the ice cream. The value was great! They bake the bread and cookies fresh daily. Lots of choices to put on the sandwich. The meal came in a brown bag and was ready super quick!! I also ordered take out soup and chilli for family at home. Everything was great. Staff were very friendly and cheerful. Wish I had tried this place much sooner!

I love their chicken salad!! The white bread/bun is so good and always fresh. I miss working close to this shop! Especially now that the new management has cleaned it up. Never had a bad experience here!!

Love the March specialty sandwich--Reuben!!! We were in a big hurry, and you were super busy, but we were served in a reasonable time with a fabulous sandwich! I highly recommend it/you!! It was perfect ratio of corned beef, cheese, dressing and sour kraut. And the bread was delicious and grilled perfectly!!!

Ratings are very good, so we are testing as first time buyers. Both us having the Mini versions. Mine is wheat bun, chicken salad, Miracle Whip, jalapenos, Swiss cheese, Bleu cheese. B having about same. REALLY good.

One of my fav places to eat at. Been eating there since high school. The portion size is nice for what you get. I always gotten the student combo which comes with chips and drink and a cookie plus ice cream! like hello!? Who can say no to ice cream!!

The sandwiches are fine. Small, but fine. The bread is either a wheat roll or white bun. Staff are friendly. Place is clean. If you need a bite and are okay w paying $8 for a lunch meat and cheese sandwich, this place is solid. If you want something more substantial and/or something you couldn't make yourself then look elsewhere.

I loved this spot! It's easy to find and very homey inside with multiple booths and tables for eating inside. I was greeted immediately and walked through how to order and what's included with each option. Today, I got a lunch combo, which includes a full BYO sandwich, chips, ice cream, carrots, a pickle, a cookie, AND a drink. All of this for $11 is a fantastic deal for the quality and quantity. Everything was AMAZING and I will definitely be back soon. I can't wait to visit again!

Cheap ingredients at a not so cheap price. Cheap bread, cheap meat, cheap veggies, cheap chips and cheap "ice cream". Not impressed.

Was visiting for the holidays and this place was high on the list"places you should eat" list. I was pleasantly surprised when it lived up to the hype! I got a turkey, bacon, and cheese on wheat, and it was delicious. The bread must've had something in it because it made me want to go back for more. With great customer service and good price to food ratio, White or Wheat is a must have if you're in the Lincoln, NE area.

Great sandwiches, soup, biscuits and gravy, pecan rolls, etc. You can't beat their bread. The staff is friendly, the prices are reasonable and the online ordering and pick up is easy. This place is a real gem!

I have been going here since high school and it is always a perfect lunch. They give you so much food and the homemade bread is so good! Staff is nice and service is fast. The restaurant is clean and has plenty of seating.

The first thing I noticed here was the amazing smell! The whole place has the aroma of fresh bread. Definitely gets your taste buds excited! The lunch special is simple, but good. You can't go wrong with a sandwich, chips, carrots, and ice cream. There is a plethora of sandwich options, so everyone will be happy. Great place and excellent service. Also very accessible.

This is the old favorite Brown Baggers under new ownership. The wheat bread is awesome, you have a bunch of choices for sides, and the dijon mustard will clear your sinuses. The old owner apparantly took the quiche recipe with him - so despite the "Try our quiche!" sign on the window, they have none. The service at this place is *superb*. They know all of the repeat customers by name. Sturdy wooden tables (not like fast food). They are my favorite choice for business lunch catering. You can pass the faxable order form around the office & everybody gets the sandwich order they want. Plus, BB used to give you carrot sticks, chips, raisins, a pickle, AND a cookie with your sandwich! (I hope they still do that). The cashier told me that it's free delivery for 6(?) people or more, otherwise a small charge. Now that BB is out of business, I hope WoW stays open! Go there!!

There is no better sandwich place in the city of Lincoln. None. If you haven't tried this, you've totally missed out and need to change that ASAP. Food: I will go so far as to say their bread and chicken salad is the best I've had in the United States. I've even lived in the south. I'm telling you, this place is AWESOME! Price: The amount of food you get for the price reminds me of those old stories where burgers were a 25 cents, except it's 20 freakin 16 and this much food for this little cost should not be possible. IT IS THOUGH. RIGHT HERE. Atmosphere: The staff, especially the owner Lynette, are the nicest people in the world. Customer service and kindness are the #1 priority here. Downside: Literally the only downside is how busy it can get at lunch M-F. This place has everything from high school students to business people to doctors to 90 year old grannies. Everyone feels welcome here. It's a very happy place. For the love of your taste buds, you NEED to try this.

Always a lunch time favorite for us! Outstanding chicken salad and egg salad sandwiches. Almost too much food with the full lunch... but we manage to get thru it most times. The fresh Chocolate chip cookies and ice cream make a great finish!

This is our favorite little place in Lincoln. Best bread in lincoln (made in house) and affordable prices. We always get the student special. It's $7 and you get your large sandwich, chips, drink, a cookie and small ice cream. And it's all delicious! I totally recommend this place. Just try and call before you go to make sure of their hours. Because of it being a mom and pop type business, they sometimes have to keep different hours.

What a wonderful place. You can feel the love immediately and the love gets bigger when you see the prices. So much food for so little, it's perfect. The cookies and ice cream always hit the spot after a tasty, fresh sandwich. The bread is some of the best I've ever had, you can tell it is baked fresh every morning, it's soft and perfectly compliments each sandwich on the menu. Also baked fresh: the sticky buns, holy crap the sticky buns! Do yourself a favor and ask Lynette(the Owner) for a HOT sticky bun after your meal, you won't regret it, I'll accept a thank you after you're done. ;) Overall the atmosphere and the food make this place a gem. The BLT is the best in town! A great staff and the art work is worth looking at while waiting. Don't miss this gem of a place.

I want people to call upon this place for a catering event such as a business meeting. The food is good, the prices are cheap and you get a nice amount of food. I relied upon them many times to cater lunch to various meetings I was in and everyone in attendance had positive things to say about the food. The staff are kind and courteous, too!

Amazing sandwich shop. When I first discovered this place I had been working at Jimmy John's for over a year and didn't care for almost any sandwich shops in town, but still always loved white or wheat. I think it's their homemade bread

Great people and great food. The bread is fresh every morning and is a great change from eating store bought bread other places. The chicken salad or egg salad are both great choices. The single sandwich lunch is great, with a sandwich, chips, carrots, pickle, cookie, and ice cream for $6.99. The biscuits and gravy at breakfast are flavorful and the gravy has much more flavor than most places offering the dish. Small staff and a friendly atmosphere make this place a great choice.

This is a weird place. It's like a dumpy old office building they converted to a restaurant. Sandwiches were okay, but something you could easily make at home. The people were nice, but there was absolutely no ambiance and it even seemed a little dirty.

I love, love, love this place! Great meal deals! The buns are always fresh and homemade. Their chicken salad is delicious! All of the people that work here are so nice and make sure that your experience was great every time.

I've heard good things about this place, and I'm not real sure why. Pretty weird atmosphere: booths are just kind of randomly placed around an old office looking room. Their menu is extremely weak. They only offer your standard cold sandwiches then let you put on whatever standard toppings you want. They only have like 4 side items: pickles, chips, potato salad, macaroni salad. My meal came with a drink, chips, carrots (who does that?), pickle, a cookie, and a scoop of ice cream. Then I made to pay extra for a very small side of potato salad. I could have easily made this cold meal at home on my couch for much less than then $10 that I paid. The one thing that gave this 2 stars over one is their bread. It was clearly homemade and very good bread if you get fired up about that kind of thing.

White or Wheat has the hands down best and most friendly customer service of any restaurant I've ever been to. It's a great sandwich shop. You have to go here and experience what a real restaurant should strive for.

Despite the shabby exterior appearance and homemade sign, the interior is pretty cozy. I ordered a "mini" lunch and it lived up to it's name. However at $7.00 with a drink, only the portion was small. Bun did not seem homemade. Food was okay. Kind of disappointing, but I will probably try it again. Cashier was nice.

The place moved a few months ago to a better location...just a little northeast of the original place, on the corner of 70th and Van Dorn. I think the food it great and made fresh! The people are friendly. The owner seems to know a lot of the people that come in by name...that is impressive! You need to stop in and see the art on the walls, too!

Nice mom and pop place. Got the haystack for breakfast: hashbrown, gravy, egg and a side of bacon. Solid stick to your ribs food. Service was good, very nice and welcoming. Will be back to try lunch and biscuits/gravy.

I was disgusted by the actions of the manager Matthew. I found in my Eggs Strata,an orange with black polka dots piece of plastic. I thought it resembled a very large piece of shellac nail polish. After taking my food to the kitchen, he returned to tell me it was a carmelized something. Really? I was asked if I wanted something else. Are you kidding me? I was grossed out. When our check arrived,I asked our waiter if my meal was removed. Poor kid not his call. Manager came back and said " since I had eaten 1/2 of it (not true) I could not receive any compensation. It was determined by the kitchen it was carmelized spices. After our party of six paid our bill I again contacted the manager. I asked about finding a piece of nail polish is pretty disgusting. He told me " our staff can not wear polish." I pointed out the young woman right next to him had black polish on half her fingers. His response, " our cooks are men and they don't wear polish". Really? I asked for his name and the owners card. While handing me the card, I was told by Matthew " I really hope you compensate your waiter it was not his fault." Are you kidding me? Worst customer service I have ever,ever had.
