White Owl Bistro

This well established restaurant, on the shores of lake Nippising in North Bay, is one of our favourite foodie destinations in the region. We sat on the patio and were surrounded by the great environment and attentive service. The food was good, including the fresh, homemade bread. Our 4 star rating was due to the table not being cleared between courses and the time to have our mains delivered to the table was quite lengthy. Otherwise this iconic, shoreline establishment is a must visit when touring the North Bay area!

A fantastic local place!!! Delicious and perfectly cooked dishes, very attentive servers and everything done perfectly in this challenging covid time for restaurants all over. Thank you for a delicious meal in a safe environment. 👍

Brilliant atmosphere and staff. Food was on point and they did well in catering to dietary restrictions. Well worth the price paid for exceptional food. The recommendation from the waitress was also really good. So many dishes went past looking exceptional.

My hubby and I decided we wanted to go out and try something new in North Bay. We come to town about twice a year and always wanted to try the White Owl Bistro based on the reviews. We ordered the special "surf and turf" pasta that included an entrée and desert as well as the mussels and filet mignon. It was very tasty! I was impressed since I have visited a few restaurants like Churchill's and the Station and this place is my new favourite of NB. Service was excellent and will definitely come back!

**Updated** started to get sick about 2-3 hours after eating here. Was sick the rest of the day and night and some of this morning. The only thing I ate that day was this meal. I would not come here again. Ordered the roast beef croissant sandwich and the crepes for dessert. The sandwich wasn't bad, nothing really special honestly. Fries could be cooked a bit longer for sure. Dessert was great. Server was very nice and quick.

Everything was amazing. The food was delicious and affordable. The view from the patio is beautiful, and the atmosphere is so welcoming. Staff was incredibly friendly. Overall a fantastic experience, and the perfect spot for a date night!

Another delicious meal at the White Owl Bistro from Chef Renee and waitress Rita in North Bay while staying at the Sunset Inn next door with Chetan and Dipka. Two symbiotic businesses that so badly need our local support. Brilliant ambience, fine dining, excellent quality and customer service at reasonable prices.

Completely great dining experience! Food was excellent. Nice patio on the water with entertainment Tuesdays and Thursday nights. In house homemade pasta. Creme brule was delicious. Atmosphere is appropriate for a family dinner or a romantic dinner for two. Highly recommend you visit here, I guarantee you'll become a repeat customer!
