We were seated downstairs without any explanation. When we asked to wait for a table upstairs, we were told it was “reserved only,” even though according to their own policy tables before dinner are first-come, first-served. After long discussions, the staff nervously suggested we could wait another 1–1.5 hours in line.
Service was rude, coffee arrived cold, and the food was overpriced. On top of that, they even added a separate charge for the musicians — instead of simply including it in the already inflated prices.
Beautiful interior, but terrible management and arrogant staff. This was the worst experience in Budapest and a clear tourist trap.
