I didn’t realize that seating could be reserved in advance. We had been waiting patiently, and when we asked to be seated at a nicer table, we were told it was “reserved.” Reserved… even though we had arrived earlier?
So apparently, specific seats can be reserved... As expected, after quite some time, a beautiful blonde woman was eventually seated there.
I had seen Korean reviews mentioning subtle discrimination at the NY cafe about the seating, and honestly hoped it wouldn’t be true—but on a special anniversary, this experience really dampened our mood.
What made it worse was the service timing. We were the only table that received our main course exactly 53 minutes after the starters. Whether they simply forgot about us or not, there was no apology at all. For a place at this price point, that was honestly shocking.
The live music—especially the violinist who wear glasses—was the only thing that truly saved the evening for us. He genuinely helped us heal our mood after a frustrating experience. Please recognize and appreciate him—he is a real asset to this place.
