I can't believe I've lived here for 6 years and never visited this place before. First of all, I loved the service. The waiter was really nice and took great care of us. The outdoor dining experience was great, and I think the indoor area looks pretty nice too. I was warned that the wait for the roast chicken would be 30 minutes, but I still wanted to try it out—and it was totally worth it. The skin was super crispy, and the meat wasn't dry at all. All the veggies underneath were super tasty together with the chicken. The gravy/sauce complemented the chicken and roasted potatoes perfectly. My partner had the Philly cheesesteak, and it wasn't bad at all. I've heard a lot of good things about the burgers, and I will definitely come back to try them.

Always a standout no matter time of day or year. Today was EXCEPTIONAL, picked up a Shrimp Po’boy and Vodka Chicken Parm sandwich. Both sandwiches come on fantastic Italian roles. The chicken park was outstanding, great breading and a ton of cheese. Speedy service and the bartenders are always top notch.

The quality of this place has really gone down quickly over the last few months. If you’re looking to have a meal in the area, I recommend giving your business and tips to other restaurants nearby that value customer experience as you won’t find that here at White Star Warren. I’ve lived in JC for decades and I like to take my guests to a restaurant nearby when they visit as I like to support neighborhood businesses whenever I can. So, I returned to this place a couple weeks ago, despite having a negative experience previously with their service. We were a party of five but the outside seating can only accommodate up to four — as the host sourly told me -- so we were led inside to one of the booths. The entire restaurant was empty except for the bartender, the host, and 2 other staff but we were seated at the smallest, cramped booth. When I asked if we can sit elsewhere the Host told me he was reserving those for later because sometimes people from Goldman Sachs would come in after work. When I asked again since it was early enough (it was 4:30PM on a weeknight) he began giving me a list of the types of groups who might come in: from the nearby offices — aka Goldman Sachs — and tourists from the ferry etc etc.(he talked to me as if he had already sized me up and decided I couldn’t tip as well as those crowds) but we were starving and so I relented. The server then came and she was quite rude and impatient taking our orders. So much so that one of us had to tell her to stop rushing us. Listen: I’d understand if the restaurant was busy but the place was EMPTY. The photo here is one I took as we were leaving — we came and went and, Except for a guy who sat at the bar, the place was still deserted. As for the food: the buffalo wings and the truffle fries are still reliably good. The cheesesteak and hummus were bland and the rest of the meal was forgettable- I can’t remember what else we had. It’s a shame, really, because the location is great and the staff used to be decent.

Extremely disappointing and bland food! We had the Wild mushroom flatbread which was just bad - stale, limp arugla, a weird sweet cheese and bland, cheap truffle oil. We also had the Hamilton burger which was again, bland - please season the meat guys! The bun was stale around the edges. I'd requested no onions on both dishes and they still came with onions! The beer was nice but, everything else is disappointing.

Nice sitting out for a brunch today. Comfy seating. The buffalo wings tasted excellent. The Egg Benedict was just okay. The parched eggs cooked beautifully but the ham was way over dry and the biscuit was old. The home fries was cold. The salad though was very fresh. Overall, a fair place to have brunch.

Had dinner here on Labor Day and it was absolutely delicious! I believe our server's name was Kyle and he was super sweet. I loved my meal and the prickly pear margarita. I found this place just by looking for a reservation somewhere and was very impressed!

Great food and service. Only complaint is that we went as a family (2 kids) and the bar tender behind us kept swearing. Would have been nice for him to have awareness. However, seems like a cool spot, burgers were great, and I'd go again.

Nice place to have brunch, good atmosphere. The food was alright. I would try this place again to see and hope the food would make me want to come back.
