Make sure to try their shrimp dumplings and shrimp shaomai. Tableside tea service is also a nice touch. Beautiful hotel and very efficient and polite staff. The facilities are very good especially the pool and area around. The breakfast is also excellent. Views over the river are amazing. The area around though is the big draw for me as it's quiet and peaceful and the air is clean. Just go you won't regret it. I look forward to returning again next November 2025! 😎

Hotel up keep & maintenance well. Staying on non smoking floor, it is a non smoking unlike some other hotel in Mainland China. Service staffs are well trained & knowledgeable. If you pick river view room, the view is so pretty. Facilities are great for a hotel this age. Lots of good restaurants around & a nice river bank to walk. Must stay if you are in Guangzhou.

A beautiful hotel with all what you need to make your stay memorable. Rooms are spacious and clean facilities and easy to access. You find everything you need a fully equipped gym, high quality of food in a Michelin guide restaurant a bar a morning/evening buffet friendly staff great places to walk around. But i had a serious problem finding staff able to communicate in english which made me have to translate using my phone otherwise my experience was great

If your travels take you to Guangzhou, China, you’ve got to check out The White Swan. Every millimeter of this beautiful hotel represents elegance and attention to detail. From the moment you enter the hotel through the grand lobby, you begin to realize that this is not just any hotel. The lobby is spacious, beautiful, with splashes of Chinese culture. The rooms are large, modern, and sport just about any amenity you might need. I am always disappointed when I am in Guangzhou and cannot make it out to the White Swan. If you’re from out of town, I would definitely download the Alipay app on your cell phone. This is a great way to access transportation I’m more importantly, pay for services. There’s an ATM located on the first level.

A Disappointing Mood for Love Wine Bar Experience at Hotel The goose liver mousse tart was a far cry from the menu photo—more like a rushed homemade attempt. Other dishes followed suit, with lackluster presentation and dated flavors. The background music was on an endless loop, dull and uninspired, adding to the overall monotony. To top it off, the chairs were so low I felt like a child awkwardly reaching for the table, making the entire experience uncomfortable. For a bar in a prestigious hotel like the White Swan, this was a surprising letdown.

Despite its long history, White Swan Hotel offers a rather pleasant stay. The rooms are clean and spacious, making them comfortable for relaxation. However, while the view is nice, I found the windows to be a bit small, limiting the full experience of the beautiful scenery outside. The hotel’s location on Shamian Island is excellent, making it convenient to reach many nearby attractions with ease. Overall, a positive experience.

A landmark hotel in Guangzhou. Must stay at least once when in Guangzhou. Well, Queen E stayed here during her visit.. Advisable to spend a bit more and get the Pearl river view room. You will get a million dollar view.. Located in Shamian area, there's lots to visit, eat and shop nearby. Rooms were very clean and large rooms (deluxe king).. Huge bath, nice toilet bowl, double wash sinks, river view bath tub etc.. service was top notch, from doorman to recep to cleaners. This hotel also house at least two Michelin guide restaurants, Jade River restaurant and Flavors of China.. Nearby 8 mins walk away, the dried products market.. like dried abalones, scallops, fish maw, goji, mandarin peel, etc etc, and 5 mins away is a Starbucks. Stayed 6 wonderful nights here. Only one small discomfort, we find the down feather pillows too soft..

The White Swan hotel is located in a very nice area surrounding with beautiful trees and old villas and river. Easy to walk to the subway together with a decent size mall, many restaurants and coffee shops around. The hotel has a nice indoor garden with a waterfall and koi fish pond, beautiful outdoor garden with pool by the river. Room is clean, big and comfortable.
