"Besides river views and stunning murals, Hongtu Hall is prized for its exquisitely crafted dim sum ranging from the classics to novel creations, as well as velvety congee and juicy roast meats. Make sure to try their shrimp dumplings and shrimp shaomai. Tableside tea service is also a nice touch. We stayed at the White Swan for 3 nights in Jan 2026. The Club level rooms were big and well appointed. Breakfast at the Club Lounge is sufficient and peaceful. In contrast breakfast at the cafe was super busy but the variety was bigger. Dim Sum Lunch at Hongtu Hall was good but the best rating is reserved for Jade River Cantonese restaurant. Food was very good but service was excellent. Special mention regarding Mr Tong Likhung who made great recommendations to us. He was patient and considerate. We are delighted with our experience at the White Swan Hotel. Keep up the high standards!

Great location and easy place to base yourself to visit places. Didi picks and drops you off at East entrance and the West entrance goes into Shamian island. The hotel itself is a place to explore! Rooms a little bit more dated than I would have liked but still a great place.

I recently stayed at the White Swan Hotel in Guangzhou, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The hotel is beautifully located by the Pearl River, offering stunning views, especially in the evening. The lobby and common areas are elegant and well-maintained, giving a true sense of luxury.The room was spotless, spacious, and comfortable, with modern amenities and thoughtful touches that made the stay relaxing. The service was exceptional—staff were attentive, friendly, and always ready to help with recommendations and arrangements.One highlight of the trip was discovering excellent sushi restaurants just a short walk from the hotel. It was the perfect way to enjoy both local culture and a bit of variety in dining. The hotel’s location made exploring Guangzhou very convenient.Overall, I’d highly recommend White Swan Hotel for anyone visiting Guangzhou, whether for leisure or business. It’s the perfect mix of comfort, style, and great location. I’d happily stay here again!

The best hotel in Guangzhou! Located in Shamian island and away from the crowds. Rooms were newly renovated and some have great views of the river. Top notch service and room comfort. Highly recommend it!

The hotel service was terrible and not up to even a 3-star standard. Due to my room not being ready upon arrival, the front desk was supposed to provide me with five 100RMB vouchers for the next day's yum cha. I requested they keep them for me as the size is huge. When I inquired again in the evening, the staff claimed they had already given the vouchers to my mother. However, my mother was staying in a separate room (as the bookings were made at different times and on different platforms), and she confirmed she did not receive them. This issue required me to communicate with the hotel staff over four times. Eventually, they agreed to resolve it internally, which I assumed settled the matter. (In fact, I suggested to cancel the previous one and re-issue another 5 new pieces)To my astonishment, while we were enjoying our yum cha at 玉堂春暖, the lobby manager approached our table in a confrontational tone and stated, "We have checked the CCTV and can confirm the vouchers were given to ur mum.” And he refused to bring us to check CCTV, and claimed that only can do with police… tIt is a joke to me, to spend 3K rmb in this hotel to receive such service.

After the bulk of our business being conducted, we treated ourselves to three nights at this fabulous historic hotel. We spent our days enjoying the neighbourhood, going for walks, dining at the restaurants and relaxing in our stunning river view room. We could want for nothing really. This is 5 stars!

Our stay at the White Swan was simply wonderful. The five stars are absolutely well deserved! From the moment we walked in, the welcome felt so warm, and that care carried through our whole visit.We were travelling with elderly family members, and a few weeks before our trip we had made some enquiries. To our surprise, when we checked in the hotel had already prepared thoughtful details in the room — things like a handrail and a shower mat. It was such a small gesture, but it really touched us. It showed how much the White Swan genuinely thinks about guests’ comfort.During our stay, we had a few more requests and every time, Issac from the front desk helped us with such patience and kindness. He didn’t just solve the problem straight away, he also checked back to make sure everything was fine. Each time we returned to the hotel, he greeted us by name with such warmth — it really felt like coming home.Issac is truly a gem, and the White Swan is lucky to have him. Once again, this hotel never disappoints. Highly recommended for anyone who wants not just five-star service, but also five-star heart.

Great stay for the passed 6 days, room very clean and spacious. Staffs are very polite and helpful. Bellman named Horace very friendly and helpful. He even helped us to wrap the boxes. He really went to the extra miles to assist us, a very nice guy!!
