Fun little dive bar (with food out back through a newer restaurant addition Tiger Den). They have 35 fun named shots, and just an overall chill vibe. Bartender was great, he was super helpful and quick with the drinks.

I'm so glad I ran into Sky as my bartender! I've seen her provide excellent service at other establishments and I'm happy she's doing that here at White Tiger. Can't wait to come back!

Great asian food and the drinks were good. All self service, bartenders were snotty but we're told this is sooo Austin. Too bad because with some kindness and extra effort, this would be a top rated establishment. The live music was good !

The bartenders are friendly. The atmosphere is quiet. On top of its game, it is beautiful. The music is quite an experience you'll never forget. And if you like outdoor life, you definitely love this place. Come and check it out.I guarantee you will not regret it.. My husband is a drummer and a band called the Jericho machine, and they play there, and they are quite amazing. Come check them out and see what I'm talking about. You will think so, as well. A pretty cool bar that seems to clearly understand what the purpose and mission of a bar is. Good bar area in the front. Nice covered patio deck and another small bar in the back. Back deck had a couple of bar games to help pass the time, a few TV's to watch the game, a stage for live entertainment. Food menu had a nice selection of bar snacks. Thumbs up to the fried pickles. Bands can be a bit much in the back if the speaker volume is amped up too much, but really that all depends on your appetite/tastes for live music. Sometimes I just want to hear the instruments at a natural volume.

Alfred the cook behind the tiger deserves some appreciation I’ve been coming here every week to eat off the menu and coming from a cook it’s amazing I personally love getting the general t so’s come get some amazing food in Austin Texas in a great environment!

We were walking around on vacation and stopped here to use the bathroom and stayed for the live music on Sunday and great vibes!! Good local can cider and local beers. Listened to a local band and it’s been great. Can’t speak to the food but all staff and patrons have been nice. Dog friendly

This was such a fun spot! Just happened to walk by on a sunny Saturday on soco and sat at the bar and we had a blast. Eric + Steele made great drinks and were so friendly. The crowds ebbed and flowed throughout the afternoon and the energy was so fun. Would highly recommend for anyone visiting south Congress!

After checking out the back patio and it being a bit too warm and the music being a bit too sedate for our preference, we headed inside where there was much more upbeat music and friendly bartender Jey. I enjoyed a couple Titos with soda ($9.25 each) and Jim G. enjoyed the 512 IPA (also $9.25). We used the QR code to order from the kitchen (which is a separate business and check) and had some Chicken Kaarage. It was a pretty decent portion, We paid an extra dollar for it to be spicy and just got some spicy oil on the side. I wouldn't do that again. And, considering I place the and pick it up myself, I don't know that I would have tipped 15% if I knew that. Interesting people watching and a nice time before we headed over to the Continental Club.

Live music in the back and great selection of music playing inside. Jay, the bartender, was really friendly and gave us a lot of tips for other placed to check out. Beer was cold and reasonably priced. You can order a variety of asian inspired dishes using the QR code on the menu. We had the chicken kaarage. Nice and crispy and a pretty large portion. You can pick it up at the window after they text it is ready.

White Tiger is a bit of a hidden gem knowing their location is literally down the road from an Hermes and Soho House, but I appreciate their still holding grip on what South Congress used to be about -- live music and grit. Situated right next to The Continental Club, you can hear live music coming out of both joints which is so nice and refreshing. The drink prices at White Tiger are super reasonable for bar drinks nowadays and felt like you weren't breaking the bank. Bar staff is super nice and they literally have a huge portfolio of drinks from college geared to a nice sip on a well aged tequila or whiskey. As a lover of Electric Jellyfish, I just had to go for a pint of my fave IPA. For my friends who ordered cocktail drinks or wine, let's just say that they have a nice pour you'll enjoy. The front is more of a dj party environment and as you walk down the hall with all of the polaroid photos, you'll step upon their back patio which has a second bar and a stage adjacent to it. There is an elevated patio with seating to enjoy the band and a few arcade games as well. It's a bonus in my book when spots advocate and support local acts so White Tiger already has a soft spot in my book. (4.5/5)

I came her last week with my Yelp work crew to celebrate "life, success and our blessings" - DJ Khaled -I'm The One As my it was my first time coming here, it was nice to see a bar directly upon entry staffed full of bartending staff so there wasn't much of a wait for beverages. When walking past the bar and an old school cigarette machine, guests will see a service window for those who order late night eats from this spot. Past this, a hallway plastered with polaroid photos can be seen (some of which are rather risky). Beyond the hallway is an outside bar and performance stage. During the time, the crew and I were here, there was a Rock/Indie band performing, which was okay but it was the erratic dancing of drunk patrons that was proved to be much better than that the band (LOL)! The drinks were on par and not watered down which is a nice surprise as many places such at this will often be heavy of the price point but low on the alcohol. The service provided here was also friendly and swift. In addition, White Tiger is celebrated for its live music performances, showcasing local talent that enhances the vibrant nightlife of Austin. The venue frequently hosts a variety of genres, from rock to jazz, creating an electrifying energy that makes each visit unique. Brie might be the best bartender I've had in my life. So attentive, she made sure to check in on me. The vibes and music of this establishment are thru the roof. Honestly couldn't have better service than Brie. She's the bomb

WooWoo man!!! We had BALL last month coming back for sure The drinks was cheap the food was on point & the WooWoo band was the Party!!! Tish & The MizzBehavin Band made my wife's bridal party so much fun I hired them for our back yard Party!!!! Y'all wanna go to a fun Dive Bar where the party's wayyyy in the back of the club , the food is good & the drinks are adorable & the party will leave you woo-woo'd out then The White Tiger is it!

It's a fine bar to pop in for a quick drink but that's about it. The ladies bathroom was gross and when I sat to pee the whole toilet wobbled and it wasn't even screwed to the floor.

A dive bar with a cool outdoor music space? Yes please! If you wanted something a little divey, but not scary dirty or sketchy, White Tiger is the place for you. While this place is a little bit on the smaller side, they have a great outdoor area surrounding a giant tree. We caught the last part of a band playing. While it was crowded out there, there was still a little space. Afterwards, we sat in the cool May night and watched NHL and Boxing for an hour or so. The only "drawback" I would give this place is the enforcement of safe emergency areas. They let way too many people to sit on the stairs up to the deck. Was this terrible? No, but if there was an emergency, it could have gotten dicey. The drinks are also a little expensive, but that is kind of par for the course. I really liked this place and will be back the next time I am in town!

Although I was a fan of Botticelli's, I think Congress really needed a divey type bar. I like to go here to start my evening for a cheap drink and almost always a guarantee of live music during the week. The back deck can't be beat, with the huge oak trees and the biggest fan you have ever seen. It really does wonders to have a constant airflow and make it feel cool out there. They have good musicians, usually leaning more classic rock. I've never eaten the food, and after looking at the menu, it's fried fried fried. My only real complaint is that this place is dirty. I mean D-I-r-t-y. I would give this place five stars, but I don't think it has ever seen a broom or a sponge. I'm almost throwing up just thinking about the bathrooms... Which definitely are full of throw up.

The outdoor area of this bar is so fun! There was live music when we went and only a bachelorette and a few other people outside but we still had a blast. The band played covers and original songs. Cheap drinks and a fun time! The inside is covered in photo strips so of course we had to pop into the photo booth to add to the collection!

Had a blast on a crazy whim to enter this bar. The bar isn't anything snooty or fancy which is great. Very dive bar type. They have shot specials everyday for $4 bucks which you can't beat. They had cherry bombs on Sundays and they were very tasty. The bartenders were awesome and vibing. Tunes were great. I'm definitely stopping by next time I'm in town.

All I'm going to say is try the Buffalo Ranch Quesadilla!!! It is huge and filling for only $13. Waffle fries are pretty good too only $4. People are sleeping on the yummy food.

Walk in from Congress to this little pet friendly bar and it doesn't look like much but head to the back patio you find beautiful Brittany working the back bar, with great beer selections and an awesome blues band. Tonight we are listening to Pierre and the Night Cats. Great voice!

We came in twice while staying for a week down the street. The first time was early at the indoor bar in front of the garage door. We had a couple margaritas, which were tasty enough. If you're looking for a place to hang during the day while people watching on South Congress this is a good spot. Our second visit was in the evening before we left town for a night cap. Being as it was a Thursday night we made our way to the back patio to enjoy some live music. The prices are on par with the rest of the street's bars. The service was fine both times we visited. It's worth checking this spot out.

First off, service was probably the best I've had in a while. Our bartender killed it, Eric was very personable and attentive. Matt, can't say enough good things about him and the bar. If you're in the area, this is a must try. Take a shot and have fun. You won't be disappointed!! The kitchen too, unique and different. Give it a shot!!

Stopped by during the day on a Saturday, and it was a great spot! Love the outdoor patio/bar in the back with live music - great vibe for getting together with friends. There's not a ton of seating so you may have to stand around a bit, but we didn't mind since it was so nice out. Would love to come back next time I'm in Austin!

In fairness we only came by for a quick drink but the staff was so friendly and this place os a 100% legit dive bar. I would love to come back to enjoy the live music venue. Great shots, mixed drinks, and craft beers.

Passing by the back road of congress when we noticed a patio locally opened. My partner was invested to look further and I'm so happy he did. It was really a hidden gem in south congress since there isn't much of bars. It was cute and comfy sport bar nice open back patio just enough to hang not to party. I love a miche anywhere so I had to try one myself here and it was not a bad choice got to say top 5. A quick drink here I don't think it will ever hurt especially with cool bartenders

This club needs to get with the times. Not only are businesses required by Austin's URO to have recycling, but also it is stupid easy (and much better than piling boxes between the fence and the road)

The pork belly egg rolls from here are hands down the best I've ever had! Highly recommend

This seemed like a fun bar. I am not really a big fan on the fact that they have like a whole giant list of shots and I have no idea what are in those shots. So I haven't do research or something? Or bother the bartender? Why can't they list what's in the shot? That names are really fanciful, but I would like to know what I am getting.

White Tiger is a very cool rock bar on South Congress Avenue in Austin, TX. Features a full bar and specializes in speciality shots. The bar has a great vibe featuring a playlist of great classic and modern rock songs blaring throughout the bar. Has classic guitars hanging on the wall and other rock memorabilia. A great hangout spot for after work or during the day.

Great drinks and th "Tiger's Den" food is amazing. The pork belly egg rolls were out of this world good!

The inside is unassuming, but the backyard patio and live music were great.The food was good, but menu has changed from the online menu. We had a picky eater with us, so that was a bummer. Onion rings were super greasy, but that was the only negative. Would definitely go back.

Stopped in here with a friend while on South Congress. Craft beer prices were outrageously expensive and overpriced. Bartender was nice and moved the line quickly. Good amount of seating inside and outside but it's one of those bars where you cannot hear yourself think -- blaring music on the loud speaker in the front portion of the bar and then a super loud live band on the back patio. My ears were ringing when I left. Also, the Photo Booth wasn't working. In all, it wasn't my vibe.

Came here on vacation and didn't know the area. We had a bar tender named Justin that was just awesome, informative, and helpful. He's so cool and we appreciated his hospitality. He recommended placed and drinks for us and all were spot on. Thanks, Justin! When I come back to Austin, I'll be sure to stop here !

I like the indoor bar and back patio. No live music during my visit. $9 for a local brew seems ridiculous.

Great place to do a little day drinking while listening to local musicians in a beautiful space with a big old tree growing in the middle of the patio.

Dog friendly, but NOT BABY FRIENDLY!!! We walked in to have a drink and escape the heat for a minute and was told we couldn't have our baby (7 1/2 moths old) at the bar by a female bartender. She had to yell over the music, making it even more embarrassing that our child was not allowed at the bar due to a TABC law and it was against the law for us to have him there! I know the TABC laws and I know that is not true. I could have argued back with the uneducated girl, but chose to take my baby and my money elsewhere! If you're a tourist or a local trying to have a nice day on Soco and think you might want to go in here for a quick drink, don't! Before you judge me for having a baby in a bar, it's not like parents have to stop enjoying life just because you have a baby! Definitely do not recommend this mediocre bar!!

It's cool. Typical hipstery vibe bar but with a lot of great specials and eccentric shot options.

Sports Bar with live music. As a music fan I'm annoyed by the cheering sports fans and maybe they're annoyed by the loud music? Patio is tight and uncomfortable. Bathroom is atrocious. Parking is parallel on street or garage at Guero's which is not free if you're staying out late. This place is good for bar crawling on Congress. Brides to be and their entourage might enjoy this brief stopover. My two cans of beer were $15. The food smelled good but I didn't eat.

This bar was a lot of fun. It was also nice to get some discounted cocktails as the rest of the food and drinks in Austin tend to be pretty pricey. They were pretty simple and basic cocktails, but sometimes that's all you need! Pretty cool atmosphere and they even had an outdoor patio too. We sat at the bar and the bartender was pretty quick and diligent with our drinks even though the place was pretty busy! If you're looking for something easy, laidback, and some cheaper drinks while you're walking around Congress Ave, I'd definitely pop in here.

I went across the street and spent about 80 dollars for 3 drinks then came across the street the next day and spent the same amount for drinks shots and dinner altogether. Amazing experience. Great drinks at the best price in town. Unbelievable. Stop in for a few quick shots to get ready for the night or hang out on the awesome deck in the back sipping on some delicious beverages. The food is quality!!! Was not expecting much, but from the first bite to the last, I was impressed. The Buffalo chicken tenders are a MUST try!!! Cannot wait to return.

Welp. Finally found a place with overpriced craft beer. But the only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because my bartender whom i met tonight was outstanding. I didn't think in a place like this there would still be nice bartenders. I think she said her name was Courtney? Yeah anyway. Great service. I ended up tipping her quite generously because she took the time to get to know my name and suggest places i could go in Austin to have a great time, as i have recently moved here. I'll be back based on her service. The owner is doing something right.

If you're looking for an over priced, 1 OZ serving of alcohol cocktail for $8 served by an unfriendly bartender in a a dirty bar then this is the place for you. I wish I could do this review with no stars, but app forced me to choose at least 1 star. I personally give no stars.

Never a dull moment at white tiger. I love the fact that it's location is on south Congress! Wide selection of beers and spirits! When the weather presents the back patio with live music is always a good time! Stop by and see Zack is always there Fri and Saturdays and provides great service!
