The Best Asian Bakeries In Atlanta - Atlanta - The Infatuation

"White Windmill in Duluth’s Nukoa Plaza is the perfect work cafe—and they also have a location in Doraville with late-nigh hours. In addition to their sweet to savory Korean menu, the environment is quiet and relaxing, so you’ll always see folks working or studying in the private booths. Get the Earl Grey cookies, which are the perfect accompaniment to a cup of tea, green bean bread, and their most popular item, the bungeoppang. These slightly sweet fish waffles are made-to-order and can be filled with red bean paste or custard. And if you're here, you should order one. Though one bungeoppang is big enough for two people, it’ll still take some restraint and a big heart to share it." - candy hom

Lovely place for a quiet early Saturday morning. The fish filled with red beans and custard were perfect, the iced Americano was strong and smooth. They were super friendly and kind. I am so glad I tried this bakery while I was visiting.

My favorite study session gem for a year now! This location is owned by two sisters as a small business, hustling behind the counter. They bring the best vibes and speak both Korean & English. On weekdays, there are always seats for my laptop and notetaking and the vibe is chill and relaxing. Their revolving specialty drinks (caffeinated and not) are my favorite, like the Strawberry Cloud and Blueberry Cafe Latte! Always aesthetic, too. On weekends, it’s bustling! It’s lively and energizing. There are usually some seats for smaller groups but I usually come alone. I love their specialty fish-shaped pastries freshly made in sweet and savory flavors. Worth the wait 💕

As I walked in my first thought was how peaceful and calm this place is. I feel like I never want to leave as I enjoyed the nice jazz playing in the background. I love the calm lighting of the bakery, although alone, I felt like I was on a date. The staff was very friendly and explained to me the many different pastries in the cabinet. I ordered the blueberry cheesecake and a bluberry latte. Both were decadent as well as very pleasing to the eye. I wasn't able to finish in one sitting. I love the arrangement of the place, very spacious. It has a coffee house feel, decorated nicely. I will definitely visit here again and next time try another fruit latte, if you can pull me away from the blueberry latte, which I enjoyed immensely.

Cozy atmosphere and friendly counter service. Definitely recommend. The curry croquette was great. I came here midday and it was very quiet in the seating area, mostly people on their laptops. It's a nice place to enjoy a relaxing coffee in the afternoon. I got an iced coffee and a curry croquette, my total was just under $12 Plenty of wide accessible seating. Plenty of vegetarian options, but they aren't labeled so you might need to ask if that's something you're looking for. Pull through spots available if you're pulling a trailer or driving an oversized vehicle.

Google
Really adorable little bakery with some delicious sounding pastries and a friendly, welcoming staff. However, most of the pastry case was empty or minimally stocked so there was not as much of a selection as there was listed on their website. Definitely curious about coming back at other times and days to see if more options are available since it was such a cute spot.

I had the flat croissant and my wife had lemon pound cake. Both were incredible! Cool atmosphere and very friendly staff. Highly recommend

Just tried this place for the first time today. I got an Iced London Fog, Double Shot of Espresso, and a Mocha Bun. Everything was exceptional! Very inviting atmosphere and overall a quiet place to enjoy a drink and work.

What a great place for coffee, pastries and shaved ice (aka bingsu). Had a great time and the kids loved the bingsu. Very friendly couple and the decor was also fantastic. Will definitely be back next time I am in town.

Yelp
Yummy Asian inspired desserts, croissants, cakes, cookies, coffee, bread and much more I had a zoom meeting on a Sunday afternoon I needed a place that was gonna be somewhat quiet And a private area would be a plus I checked the Duluth area And ran across some options But easily became sold on white windmill The private booth area was more than enough I talked with the staff at the front working And they told me a little about white windmill I asked for recommendations They gave suggestions with ease and a smile Noise level was low The private booth was cozy and perfect For students In deep studies, meetings, etc... I tried the earl grey cookies The fish cakes filled with custard ( it's a pastry) Coconut balls And the taro boba Everything was memorable The coconut balls were perfect I'm a big fan of coconut and these hit the spot Lots of shredded coconut in them The fish cakes with custard were special Perfect texture... soft with a tiny crisp Almost like a pancake in taste The custard inside complimented it well With a vanilla like flavor They were hard to put down, lol. The taro boba had my eyes wide open That flavor, that flavor.... So so good It was a little on the sweet side But still, flavor was on point Now for the finale.... THE EARL GREY COOKIES..... Perfectly sweetened, and they left that earl grey flavor in my mouth I wish I had some right now I'm definitely going back for more of these!!!!!

Yelp
This is one of my favorite Korean cafes in Duluth! The cozy atmosphere and plenty of seating make it perfect for anyone looking for a quiet corner to work, relax, or simply enjoy some downtime. They offer a wide selection of bakeries, both sweet and savory. Whether you're craving a flaky croissant, a sweet slice of cake, or something in between, there's always something tempting to try. The staff here are friendly and welcoming! It's the perfect spot to unwind with a cup of coffee and a tasty snack. Highly recommended!

Yelp
TL;DR: This location seems to be very friendly and have their regulars. Pastries were good, drinks were good. A good place to study or work without being too crowded. Arrival: I had been working in my car for a couple hours waiting for an appointment and finally decided to look around for what was nearby. The strip mall this location sits in doesn't ever seem to get too busy so parking shouldn't be an issue. Getting here from the freeway isn't too bad, but getting back on the freeway requires a bit of a difficult u-turn. Ambiance: Quiet, lighted with soft mood lighting. It's not too dark for working, but dark enough to keep the volume level lower. It wasn't too busy on a Friday afternoon and there is ample space. There is lots of seating, so i can imagine it may not get too crowded being in this specific area. Food/Drinks: I got a curry bun that was still warm and butterfly pea latte. Both were great. The curry bun wasn't soggy and the flavors were perfect and bread was still crispy, it was definitely very fresh. The butterfly pea latte was beautiful. It was a bit hard to stir and very milk heavy, so FYI if you are (and therefore not) lactose intolerant and of the risky variety. They have a wide variety of pastries and desserts which I certainly can appreciate. Overall: It reminds me of the bakeries in SK aside from the ample space they have. I'm not often in the area, but since I will have another appointment here i would love to drop by for a pastry on the go!

Yelp
White Windmill is a quaint spot that's perfect for dates, or quick chats with a friend. Loved the ambience and the outdoor seating. I really liked the earl grey tea cookies, those were a standout for me! Unfortunately the cake I had was dry, and the chocolate chip cookies were pretty standard. I would come back for the tea cookies, but an reluctant to try other baked goods because of the prices. If you're looking for a cute place to hang out, this is your spot. For baked goods there are plenty of other options that won't be too costly.

Yelp
LOTS OF SEATING ! and lots of extension chords around the wall seats. Came here on a weekday to get some work done. There are few private booths towards the back but they only allow you to sit in there if you're a party of 2 or more. Wifi works great, plenty of parking out front and coffee is not over priced. I did not get a chance to try their baked goods but it seemed to be very popular. I got an iced americano and the beans seem to be on the darker side. Kind of like starbucks. So if you prefer more medium to light roast you may not like their espresso drinks. The customer base seems to be older koreans so when they come in big groups it may get slightly noisy.

Yelp
White Windmill is a classic Korean cafe that offers a very welcoming and warm environment while serving amazing pastries, drinks, and desserts! I have been a regular at this location for a few months now, and I intend to continue coming here frequently. The owners are always nice and welcoming! The interior is very spacious and has ambient lighting via fairy lights and dimmed overhead lighting that I love. For those who enjoy studying in cafes, this white windmill is PERFECTION! There are plenty of booths, tables, and most importantly; outlets! There are private booths for any parties of 2+ and an entire dining area full of seating! The ambient lighting mixed with soothing overhead music makes the perfect combination to focus and get some work done! I would 100% recommend this place for anyone looking for a classic Korean cafe and prefer this location to the others because of the reasons aforementioned.

Yelp
The last time I've been here was like seven years ago? I remember us loving their hot, pure matcha latte with milk so much, that the memory of having it lived in our heads for many years. We vowed to go back again if we were ever in the area as we live in Jacksonville, FL now and rarely go to Atlanta. We just happened to be here this weekend and decided to stop by since it was about a 14 minute drive from our hotel. Upon entering, the bakery had a steady traffic of people going in and out. We didn't have to wait long as we were there around 11am and were able to grab all the pastries that we wanted and some more. The line to check out and also same line to order drinks was not too bad. There was a nice, dining space to the right of us that looked cozy. Service was fast, quick, and nice. The workers do seem to be a little bit chaotic though as more traffic came in while we were waiting in line. Here's my thoughts, opinions, and reviews on the items we got. Strawberry cream pastry with fresh strawberries: 8/10 - I'm rating this entirely on the look of it as my husband got one for himself to try. He seemed to enjoyed it so I'm guessing it was delicious. Cornbread: 6.5/10 - I was so excited to try this as I love love cornbread! I love the consistency of traditional cornbread with the slight grittiness and little bits of corn. I love my cornbread sweet as well. This pastry was the opposite of it as while the taste is somewhat there, the texture was off. There were bits of corn in the "pastry" but only a few kernels scattered around. It was also pretty dry but I did love the coffee cake-like crumble on top. I see where they were going with this but they kind of missed the mark. Milk cream bun: 7/10 - the bun had almonds on top and a milk cream filling inside. I had a bite and loved how light and fluffy the filling was. The bun was baked to perfection and was so moist, bouncy, and squishy (in a good way). The touch of almonds on top added a nice texture contrast. We got a few other pastries but I didn't try them all so I can't give a review yet on them. The prices were reasonable for how big the pastries were. We got a blueberry chocolate bun, sausage bun, melon bread, etc. I really love that they have a variety of sweet and savory pastries! Drinks: Fresh kiwi juice: 9/10 - this was tart, cool, and refreshing, especially for a hot summer day. You can see and taste the bits of kiwi. If you don't like fruit pulp, then you might not like this. Some people are weirded out by different textures so unless you like pulp, then I don't suggest you get this drink. It is a bit on the tart side and not sweet. If you love tart and sour flavors, then this would be a good drink to try. Lavender latte: 4/10 - my best friend got this and this was her personal rating. She asked for half of the sweetness but they have her the full sweetness and she could not finish her drink. I don't know if they were just having an off day but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. Hot matcha latte: 9/10 - my husband enjoyed his matcha latte and I had a sip of it. The only difference now is that when you ask for a matcha latte, they add espresso. Don't get me wrong, it's still delicious but just a little different now. We were just thrown off by the taste of both matcha and espresso because we assumed it would be a hot matcha latte with just milk. Freshly squeezed orange juice: 9/10 - my other friend got this and she said it was one of the best orange juices that she's ever had. It was fresh, not too overly sweet, had a little bit of pulp, and super refreshing. Overall, I would come back for the pastries and some drinks. A solid place to grab some yummy pastries and drinks! If you're in the Atlanta area, definitely check this bakery out!

Yelp
Always a great bakery to visit. The owners are very sweet, always smiling while greeting you and radiates a lot of kindness. I always get their Honey Aloe and it is so so good every single time. Never flops. White Windmill Bakery is an awesome place to come study, talk with friends or even just to shop for baked goods; that are fairly priced.

Yelp
This is a cute Korean owned cafe that offers an assortment of pastries. My bf is a coffee connoisseur and he was extremely impressed with the hot white mocha latte. The interior is clean and the owners are incredibly friendly. The only thing I would add is a larger selection of pastries. What they had was delicious and they probably have one of the best vanilla cream buns in town. We tried some other bakeries and the consistency and flavor shined for the cream bun here. Definitely coming back to this location again.

Yelp
White Windmill Bakery is a Korean owned cafe located off Steve Reynolds in Duluth. They offer a variety of pastries and drinks. My family was on a hunt for some butter cream bread and found some here. It's very quiet so it makes the perfect spot to study.

Yelp
I don't know if I just got here right when they opened but I was the only person in the place. For such a large location, I definitely thing this could be a great place to meet people because they have so many options for sweets being drink, baked good, cold treats, and tons of seating, more private booths in the back, tablets along the front, and a long barstool table in the middle. Seriously tons of space. I'm curious if this place gets busy in the evening or on the weekends, because I would love to experience the vibe then. It was almost too quiet when I went. There is a huge parking lot in front of here so you probably won't have a problem looking for parking. My coffee and boba were both great! I got a lavender milk tea with boba, and got that lightly sweetened, but I'd like to note it didn't seem lightly sweetened so I am not sure it would be bearable if I had forgotten to say lightly. I love that this place has fresh pastries packaged easily for you to take to go, but also plenty of fresh in store options. Not sure I'd come back here purely because it is kinda out of the way for me, but Id go if a friend wanted to I suppose!

Yelp
The moment you step inside, you're greeted by the enticing aroma of freshly baked goods. Among their many offerings, the almond pastry stands out as a true masterpiece. Its flaky, buttery layers, combined with a rich almond filling, create a perfect balance of sweetness and texture that leaves you craving more. The bakery's cozy atmosphere and friendly staff make it an inviting spot to enjoy a morning coffee or an afternoon indulgence.

Yelp
Good coffee, yummy chocolate croissant and nice choices. A coffee with refills would be nice.

Yelp
I've been to many cafes around this area and I gotta say this is by far my favorite cafe. The owners are very sweet! The service is amazing here and they get stuff out really fast. Quiet place to study and do your work. They have a lot of outlets and the booths are nice for privacy, and they are limited to 2+ people which is really nice to prevent one person from hogging a booth Bread and baked goods are well priced and really good! The drinks are good too. Overall I really enjoyed this cafe and will be a regular here

Yelp
I visited White Windmill Bakery on Sunday, January 24, 2021 at 1 pm. This bakery was empty when I arrived, but that's no problem after taking a quick glance of the fully stocked baked goods and cake display. Like most Korean bakery places I've been to, White Windmill is very clean and has a nice Starbucks-esque interior design. There are private rooms you can reserve, but are limited to 2-people. I ordered the fruit red bean bingsu and I thought it was better than average. The bingsu had generous amounts of fresh fruits and other toppings. Other bakeries I've been to would only serve shaved ice, some fruit flavored sauce and canned fruits and call it a day. I often avoid getting any cake from Korean bakeries because they tend to be old and taste bland and dry. The disappointing thing is that these Korean bakeries claim all their cakes are baked same-day, but really been sitting in the freezer for days before moving into the display case for who knows how long. However, the strawberry cake tasted light and fresh. Service was great. The older gentleman who took our order was nice to allow us to sit at the private room even though we had 4 people.

Yelp
I have absolutely adored the local White Windmill franchise in north ATL for a number of years. The main branch (in Doraville) has the most pastry options out of all the locations. Even though this specific cafe has less of a variety, it is ambient & cozy with warm wood tones, black leathers, and starry stringed ceiling lights. Congestion of crowds is minimal-to-none, here, unlike the main branch. It's a more private feel. Things you should know: I. PARKING White windmill is within the Nukoa Plaza and shares a public parking lot with the surrounding businesses. Finding an available, free, space is no problem. II. SERVICE Friendly. An older gentleman & lovely lady, who seem to own the cafe, serve you and greet you warmly when you enter. They truly pour their hearts into their customer service. III. QUALITY Fresh daily. I've tried various pastries and coffees. They never disappoint. One day, I would enjoy seeing this franchise use different cups for their lattes and beverages than the uncharacteristic paper ones. I think it'll add a little more value and personal touch behind the customer experience. IV. CAPACITY Fair amount of seating on a week day. Crowds are minimal. A fair amount of customers come and go. There are booth seating areas that are for 2 or more people that can make your experience even more private if needed.

Yelp
Super cute cafe with a variety of beverage and dessert/snack options. I ordered a cold Americano and Bungeoppang (half red bean and half cream-filled fish shaped buns). I wasn't a huge fan of the Americano because it was too bitter. The cream-filled Bungeoppang didn't have enough filling, but the red bean ones were crispy, hot, and tasty!

Yelp
This is our favorite Korean bakery when we are in Duluth! We are always greeted with enthusiasm and smiles. The owner is the sweetest man! The place is cute and a great place to relax whether you're with friends or working by yourself. I love their fishes filled with cream and cream cheese danish. My husband loves their walnut cookies and hot mochas. I've also bought their tiramisu cake and everyone loved it!

Yelp
I've been raving like a maniac over just about every place I've dined in Duluth, including all of the bakeries. BUT...sadly, I can't say the same for this one. Although this is a highly touted Korean bakery in Duluth with several chains, I wasn't so impressed. Although it's a beautiful bakery, the selection was rather weak compared to the other ones I've been to...and here's the main reason why. I felt ripped off with what I ordered. In fact, if management is reading this, he/she SHOULD refund me for it. I mean, just look at this Bingsu that I received...for THIRTEEN DOLLARS. ?!? I ordered their Red Beans Fruit Bingsu...and well, unlike the picture displayed, my Bingsu didn't even have Ice Cream in it...just some Powder (??), along with the fruits. It didn't taste bad, but not great by any stretch (especially compared to what I've had at Arte 3 and Treestory)...and here's the catch. This super-weak, crudely presented Bingsu costed over $13!!! Total RIP OFF. I didn't even bother to eat the whole thing. I was too tired to bitch about it to the Manager (if on duty), so just left. Never again will I come back to this bakery.
google avatar

Taylor K.

Yelp
Same old Korean bakery like other ones - I didn't find it special. What I did not like was their shaved ice flavors. There were "seasonal" shaved ice and regular ones. "Seasonal" items are usually for summer, which we are in right now but those items were unavailable... then I ordered an item that wasn't seasonal, which was also unavailable... so we got basic fruit and red bean. It tasted GREAT. Mango, kiwi, strawberry, Frosted Flakes, and red beans. Though I didn't appreciate their lack of options, shaved ice is still delicious.

Yelp
COVID- indoor space is larger than it appears from the outside. It is mostly open space but u saw three semi private dining room booth area. VIBE- I went on a Saturday, late afternoon and I saw mostly working/ studying and some small groups chatting. FOOD- i went specifically for Korean pastry but they didn't have a lot of options. It was mostly baked/cookie and cake stuff. I've had their mini fish cakes.. those are average. I prefer the bigger sized ones from hmart Duluth!

Yelp
So I've only been to a couple cafes and this one is very nice! Very welcoming with nice lighting and very nice decoration. The ambiance is very nice, and the food is nice and tasty! The customer service is great and VERY welcoming! Will be coming here more often.

Yelp
What a nice find! Grabbed some yummy chicken next door and then desperately needed coffee. Came in and was blown away on the nice space this bakery provides. I settled on a strawberry cake to go, peach tea lemonade and hazelnut latte. Everything made in-house and fresh. Yummy

Yelp
Employees are very biased against non-koreans. Also, the green tea latte doesn't have much flavor and the cookies are dry. The ambiance is nice though.

Yelp
I grab my desserts and coffee from here often because it's right across my house and the owner gentlemen who works there at the counter always greets me with a smile and a big hello. He always ask about how Ive been doing and always gives me a good compliment which brighten ups my day. Check this place out

Yelp
My go-to cafés for doing work when I'm in the Duluth area are usually Sweet Hut or Coffee By Hand. However, I was wanting something a little bit more intimate and quiet, so I opted for WWB with my friend. The café is tucked away in a shopping center next to Dan Moo Ji and A-Hyang (you should go to both). It is said to be a lot smaller than its counterparts in Doraville and Johns Creek. It has a super modern, dark, and sleek aesthetic.. You can see it in the photos I've attached below. The lighting is a bit dark as well, but it's definitely a part of the whole look: the walls are a darkish grey brick, some parts are a darker wood, same with the seats and tables, even the uniform is all black! We went during 12-1pm, and it wasn't extremely busy. It wasn't extremely loud but not too quiet, and it was pretty pleasant to get some work done there. One of the two things I noticed was that there aren't many outlets available for the seats that are along the walls. The high table in the center has the outlets located underneath the table. We also ordered the bungeoppang, a fished shaped pastry that has a filling. We got the half and half option -- half red bean, and half choux cream. I've been to this location before and have ordered the same thing many times; however, this time around, the bungeoppang barely had any filling inside of them. Maybe it was a bad batch, a bad day, or just a new rule to put less filling? Whatever it is, it was a little disappointing. Overall, really good place to get some coffee, snacks, and to study or catch up with friends.

Yelp
Of the many Asian bakeries I've visited White Windmill was for sure one of the stand outs. It's clean, quite, and relaxing. All that you could want for a nice lowkey spot to chill at or to study up a bit. The coffee here was great and they had a nice variety of teas as well but what I liked the most were their pastries. I had a huge basket of what I'm sure was taiyaki, I forgot the name of it on the menu but regardless were hitting the spot. Their wifi is free and is one of the faster networks at a cafe I've used.

Yelp
This is a much smaller counterpart to the Doraville location but on principle still has the same. A Korean coffee shop/bakery snuggled in the plaza off Steve Reynolds next to Dan Moo Ji Korean cafeteria joint, this place definitely has the makings of greatness. Other reviewers called this the Korean Starbucks we all needed. I would have to agree in terms of what they offer. It's a cozier location with more seating offers such as quardoned off booths, a cluster of leather single seaters, large high farm tables and other seating areas but the lighting is moody and ambient, the staff is friendly, and they offer better looking pastries. Coffee prices are a bit expensive as a large is a 16 oz cup and the Americano is a whopping $3.50. The coffee itself tastes better than the burnt espresso beans from Starbucks but for $.30 more, you get can a Venti which is about 21 oz. What brought this to a 3 star for me was their lack of consistency in hours. The sign said they closed at midnight but I went in around 9:30pm and was told they were closing at 11 pm. The sign specifically said midnight but you're closing because... reasons. That didn't sit too well with me since midnight is what your sign said therefore as a business, you should honor the hours you set so I found that disconcerting. Overall, a decent coffee shop if you want to be away from the hustle and bustle of Pleasant Hill. And since it's in Gwinnett and is a part of the White Windmill chain, it's a better offering than the corporate Starbucks.
google avatar

David S.

Yelp
"A Korea Style Starbucks we never asked for, but needed" A bit over dramatic, but this place is more cozy than to me than starbucks. The interior decor was very pleasant, and I think they had a huge bean bag chair too. Complimentary fast wifi coupled with very delicious bread and pastry. The shopkeepers were also very warm and friendly! Even the way they wore matching hats and dresses was pretty lit. My wife and I are addicted to their cream cheese bread and will be coming back for more! Need more time before upvoting to a 5 star!

Yelp
I had enough of this place. The owner of this place is EXTREMELY cheap. First, they require EVERYONE to purchase at least one thing from their place if you want to sit there even if ur company has already bought something. Secondly, the fish-shaped bread BARELY has the creme filling so we didn't even bother to finish it (hasn't happened once) and finally (the last straw) I asked for "no ice" for my coffee (which was the only thing at this point that would make choose this cafe) they told me THEY CHARGE $1 FOR NO ICE. LIKE WHAT? I HAVE NEVER EVER HEARD OF A CAFE THAT CHARGES FOR NO ICE. Seriously, will never be coming back here. To make me write my first review because of how upsetting this poorly ran cafe is..... seriously left me speechless.

Yelp
They have great Bungeoppang (fishies)! The custard filling is great, it's not like the pudding filling that nam da mun has. The cute little halmeoni was adamant that I wouldn't like the chestnut cake, because it's not sweet. If there's a name for cute racism, this was that kind. The staff was really sweet and the ambiance is great. We got bungeoppang, regular chestnut cake, jasmine tea, and a mocha chestnut cake. The cakes were a little drier than most other bakeries but all together it's a nice little bakery.

Yelp
This place is great if you're looking for a good study place. The music is not super loud, it's spacious & fairly quiet! They offer various sweets, hot drinks & iced drinks & the customer service is not bad at all. For the most part it looks like college students work there, but are very nice when asked questions about the menu! Would definitely recommend trying!

Yelp
This is the third White Windmill location I've visited. The other two are Buford Highway and Pleasant Hill. White Windmill is a Korean bakery and cafe where you can get a variety of freshly made baked goods and treats, cakes, coffee, tea, and even frozen yogurt. They use Yogojoa brand froyo. They also have a limited sandwich and salad menu if you're looking for a quick and light bite to eat. This White Windmill is not as busy or stocked as the location on Buford Highway. It has a more industrial and chic look with exposed ductwork ceilings, tall private booths, and fancy white couches and cushioned walls. This makes it look more like a Miami nightclub or lounge than a cozy Korean bakery! I like it, though. The two private booths are the most popular spots in the cafe. Good luck grabbing one with your friends. Inside, you can write on the walls and leave your autograph or personal artwork. The bubble teas here start at $3.99, which is substantially more expensive than Quickly, Lollicup, and Mr. Tea House. The iced house coffee here is very good (less than $4) and I'm a big fan of their butter cream bread. They have free Wi-Fi here, but only until 11:30pm. Also, the credit card minimum is $5. This White Windmill is located on Steve Reynolds Blvd. in Nukoa Plaza. It's to the left of Dan Moo Ji.

Yelp
All custard filling, the formula of this isn't soft, the stuffing was little or the cover was too thin. Not very flavorful. I love the customer service

Yelp
This place is really hidden--the store front is in Korean with the "White Windmill" words hardly visible if you aren't paying close attention, especially at night. Like any of the other locations, the atmosphere is pretty nice, causal, and chill. There's plenty of nice places to settle down with unique decor all around and wifi to entertain yourself. The food and drink selection is similar as well, although I did see a few unique items here. I would definitely visit this location again. Oh. There's another White Windmill located on Peachtree Industrial Blvd. This one is less crowded but located in a semi-shady area, but there is a great Korean restaurant in the same complex I would definitely recommend (my very first review on here).

Yelp
Very lovely place with friendly customer service. The owner is so nice and generous. The bakery selection is awesome and tasty. I love the honey comb and mini cheese danish specifically.

Yelp
I really wasn't trying to avoid White windmill. I've seen it, passed by it, but never went in, so on a Saturday morning when I had to study and needed coffee, I went on in. I settled on their Americano regular sized coffee ($2.49), Sweet Potato Manju ($3.99) and a traditional sweet cream bun ($2.99) When I asked what were some of their best sellers for pastries, staff lit up and came from behind the counter with a lot of explanation. The bun was an easy choice, and was soft, slightly sweet and tasty. The sweet potato manju, were described as not quite bread texture and not quite sweet potato either, and in fact, it does taste like a type of breaded outer layer, with a pocket of mashed and pressed sweet potato inside. I love sweet potato dishes, but must be honest that I wasn't a fan of this sadly. The coffee was simply coffee, and not too much in terms of special. White Windmill is another Korean owned bakery, that I wasn't aware that most of their baking happens at their Doraville store, and is shipped out fresh quite often, so sadly some things that you may see on photos may not be there when you pay them a visit. I visited on a Saturday morning and Pro tip, if you want to study, go before 10am Saturday mornings, because there were only two people there studying, in a very quiet store. Located in the Nukoa plaza shopping Center off Steve Reynolds Blvd, White windmill is on the bottom floor and parking isn't a concern at all. Getting in and out of the plaza is really dependent on what time of day it is and how busy Steve Reynolds is, but I didn't have many problems at all. Decent little coffee shop that i'm happy I finally got a chance to try out.

Yelp
After frequenting most of the numerous Asian bakeries and Korean cafes, I think white windmill is my personal favorite! Quality drinks, tasty breads, good work environment with outlets and wifi, and friendly staff are all encompassed here. My main purpose for going to cafes is to get work done so that's why I favor white windmill! Bonus points for being one of the few Korean cafes that serves sweet potato lattes!!

Yelp
This is where I come to get away from the Korean salon while my wife gets her hair permed a few doors down. The milk tea is good and the tapioca "bubbles" are made fresh daily, which is important for good bubble tea. The service has always been friendly. The bread selection is pretty stereotypical Asian bakery fare, which appeals more to my wife than to me, but the clientele who get it seem to like it a great deal. The decor is great, too. It makes me feel like I'm back in Asia at a coffee place with the varied seating options and Korean pop playing over the speakers.

Yelp
It was nice to have a mocha that wasn't burnt, had too much milk, or too little flavor. Although I didn't get to try any, because I was trying to behave myself, I'd definitely like to go back and try some of the pastries. They looked fantastic!

Yelp
I came for the mini fish cakes and left with a bag of bread and coffee. These fish cakes were pretty good, I take off one star because I expected it to be a little bit crispier on the outside. It was a little mushy but still delicious. If you order this do eat it on site and don't take it Togo. One order is 4.99. I got half red bean and half cream (custard). When you go up to cashier, there's a sign on the right. I give them lots of stars because I randomly grabbed some bread to go. I got this toast bread (a giant block of toast cut on the top into little squares). There was no label but I think it's butter garlic toast or something. I've had honey toast and things like that from other places but something about this toast was phenomenal!!!! No American bread can compare to this delicious sweet buttery bread. There's little bit of almond sprinkled on top. Idk what kind of butter they use but something about Korean bakeries have like this sweet addicting butter ... Find it and be happy for a short ten minute that it will take to finish it.

Yelp
The White Windmill Bakery is a nice corean coffee and pastry place in the outskirts of Atlanta. The interior design is modern and spacious with either open table or seating in booths. The coffee was great so I enjoyed it very much PS: they have WiFi there

Yelp
I love love the atmosphere here. It's always super chill enough to study, hang out, and when you need a break from life. Their Thai tea bubble tea is always perfectly. Can't wait to go home to try my cake!

Yelp
What a fancy-smancy bakery. I guess I'm too used to the Chinese ones like Sweet hut. It feels more quiet and calm compared to Sweet Hut. I mean, I didn't see any college kids running around causing trouble. I just saw well-behaved Koreans just doing their thing. It looks deceptively small from the outside. But when you walk in, it has a bunch of seating in the walls and corners. So it looked like it had a lot of seating. However, their selection of baked goods and desserts look sparse. They had waffles. It looked delicious. It looked like a waffle with fruit and ice cream on top. Whoever decided to combine dessert and breakfast together was a genius. I had their macrons. I think they were made with almond flour and something with lactose. If you've read my other reviews, you'll know why I think it's made with something with lactose. Hold on, I have to go to the bathroom before I finish. Well, those macrons did taste good. It was so soft and delicious. They looked colorful and pretty. Too bad for the lactose. The prices looked more expensive compared to the other bakeries I've been to. I guess it's due to the atmosphere. This place does give off a classy vibe, even if it had the graffiti with "Jizzy heart" written on it.

Yelp
So glad I finally found this second White Windmill location on Steve Reynolds Blvd in Duluth, GA. I posted a tip to look for the tall Nukoa Plaza sign as a landmark to turn into the parking lot. Otherwise, it is easy to miss it as there is a tree blocking the billboard sign of WW. http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/white-windmill-bakery-duluth-2?select=pH0IU6-D6mZM7UlvEkbScg#pH0IU6-D6mZM7UlvEkbScg Upon entering the store, it gives out a warm and inviting vibe as I saw all the cakes, bakery, cafe, tea and yogurt calling my name all at once. Sweet! There was a beautiful display of party cakes, assortment of pastries, colorful macarons, cookies and sandwiches if you are a little hungry. There are cold beverages, ranging from iced house coffee to blended to special types of tea, bubble tea, fruit juices, sherbet and frozen yogurt. You can also pick a various assortment of hot beverages like regular or decaf coffee, Americano, Cappuccino and all kinds of latte. I thoroughly enjoyed my Hazelnut Latte ($2.79) while my friends enjoyed their regular coffee ($1.59). We all agreed that it was much better than at Starbucks. When sugar whispered in my ear, I seldom turn a deft ear. I responded to the Mocha Pie ($2.99). My friends had picked up their Red Bean Doughnuts ($1.59). The other friends had Blueberry Cream Bread. All were delicious and everyone had a good time while we chatted up a storm, ate heartily and laughed over silly comments from each other. The seats were comfortable and there was free WiFi for everyone to use. There were also tall private booths in the back. The staff behind the counter was very pleasant and jovial. Always a smile when someone comes along. This was a very pleasant place to chill out with friends and family. The decor's classy and chic. There was soft instrumental music in the background as well as many nice clientele there. I will definitely be back for more Korean bakery and cafe here, rain or shine. Yelp 33/365

Yelp
As I walked into the White Windmill Bakery with my little sister, Crystal H and my mom, we noticed how beautiful the interior design looked. And the table that we sat in felt so stylish and pretty! Oh so pretty!! This is the first bakery I've been to that looked like I was out of town. Makes me feel like I'm traveling.. ha ha ha! Crystal bought the sweet rice cake balls. There were ten pieces in the packaging. It was sweet and made me drool. Yes it was AWESOME! He he! Also bought the cream bread. I didn't try it, though. I got the Green Tea Bubble Tea and it tasted good. And for some reason it had little bits of boba chunks in it with the boba balls. Never did I see anything like that before. Crystal got the Iced Coffee. It tasted great! Better than mine!! I don't think it was a type of bubble tea, because there weren't any boba in it. And mom got regular hot coffee. She always drinks regular coffee. She doesn't like sugary beverages with cream.

Yelp
I went here today and I had an amazing experience. The ahjussi noticed my cast and the boot on my leg and insisted on bringing my order to my car for me. When I noticed I didn't tip I went right back and bought something else just so I could despite him saying it was his pleasure to help. I've never experienced this level of customer service and I encourage anyone to visit and help this business thrive.
