I really love the vendors and I feel extremely important to support our local craftsman and marketeers! I'm especially enjoying the local Honey and the rustic sourdough bread! I'm a repeat offender! 😍🤟

Nice small community market. Kids were having zucchini races. Great time.

ps: if you're going to offer gift certificates, you need to develop a better system than giving someone 30 tiny pieces of paper to put in their wallet (after waiting for you to count out 30 tiny pieces of paper🙄) my son's auntie, out of state, bought a gift certificate for him and it was just a huge hassle, won't be doing it again. (whoever stole his wallet probably didn't even know what they were so they were just wasted anyway) they need to start earlier (esp in the hot summer) & be ready at opening. esp when charging vendors $35 booth fee for such a small market. small artisans & vendors can't afford this market. few seem to do well, could be so much better

Such a nice, calmer alternative to the often hectic Sat Farmers Market

I went for fresh produce and eggs. Less selection than downtown Saturday market, of course. I found tomatoes, mushrooms and squash, too.

Venders were super friendly and had amazing homemade goods ranging from homemade soaps, scarfs, home grown veggies and even home made mushroom tea. ❤️ AND unlike the Saturday market or farmers market my k9 side kick got to come along!

So excited to have found this market yesterday…i had no idea it was there! the vendors were high quality & the location lovely & less crowds & less a$$holes than the eugene sat market 🙄 i was especially excited to find a booth with organic oaxacan green fresh made tortillas & quessadillas! She has regular yellow corn tortillas you can buy a pack or a quesadilla meal too. There were plant people and farm people with fresh greens (yay garlic scapes!) and meat people and honey people and an AMAZING soap booth…omg..natural so lovely soaps There was some really awesome arts and jewelry and clay work and wood work & leather work & faerie wings 🧚🏽‍♂️ & clothes… o& a gluten free bakery booth with decadent pastries! (&bread) it’s so nice to be able to buy pastries i can eat (no wheat) the chocolate Croissant was too delish & had almond flour… I couldn’t resist eating it, even though I had already had the very sugary lemon something donut with icing, lemon curd and candied lemon peel on top….Good thing the macaroons were sold out by the time I got back to the booth 😏 apparently the market matches up to $20 ebt with $20 fresh produce bucks for ppl with ebt

Yelp
Love the artisans in the nice walk. Everyone was very friendly and had quality products. I was happily surprised at getting a non-alcoholic Mojito that wasn't sweet. Made fresh product in front of me and was absolutely amazing! The thing I was disappointed in was the lack of community support. I think it would've been lovely to see more people out and about purchasing.

Yelp
Every neighborhood should have a weekly marketplace and the Whiteaker Community Market really raises the bar when it comes to community involvement. Every Sunday from 11am-4pm, local vendors and artists gather together on 2nd and Van Buren to display their delicious and beautiful goods. From shaved ice to vintage clothing and fresh veggies, you really can find some amazing treasures here. Every person I have met here whether it was a vendor or a passerby has been friendly and welcoming. You really do feel like you're a part of the community when you come here no matter who you are or where you are from. The market hosts yoga sessions, live music and open mic which gives artists an opportunity to showcase their talents. You can even use your EBT card to shop here for fresh food which is amazing! I've purchased essential oil sprays, yummy homemade snacks, organic makeup and my mom even had her tarot cards read. This market continues to grow each year and I can't wait to see what the future holds for this thriving neighborhood full of colorful individuals.
